RPG The Best Years of Our Lives: High School Life
Yu Yu Hakusho! replied to Yu Yu Hakusho!'s topic in Theater
Michelle and Lauren came back from the theatre. The movie was over. Michelle still hadn't asked her dad. He was mad at some guy in the theatre talking the whole time during the movie. She was afraid that if she asked him, he would ground her for running out of the movie to talk to a boy. Michelle: Uh, Dad? Can I go to the bathroom? Dad: AGAIN? Fine, hurry up. Lauren: I'm going too. Mom: You two better hurry up. We're heading to the car. Michelle looked at her watch hidden under her green jumpsuit and saw that it was 30 minutes past midnight. Michelle (Yusuke, in English): Damn. C'mon "Botan" we gotta hurry up. Lauren (Botan, in English): But the bathroom is this way, Yusuke! "Yusuke" dragged "Botan" to where she last talked to Craig. She was going to tell him sorry, but she did have a friend that Craig could call and stay with. Isabella and Michelle were really good friends and Isabella knew Craig. Isabella lived with her big sister near their neighborhood. She knew she would take Craig in. Yusuke: We're not going to the bathroom stupid. Botan: Ok......then where are we going? Yusuke: To hell. Botan: Uhh....Michelle? Yusuke: Shut up Lauren. I'm acting. Botan: No, Yusuke, whatever, I think you need to see this. They were outside looking eye to eye with the senior that "Yusuke" talked to. He was with a group of friends that looked terrified of Yusuke. Senior: W-what are you doing here? Yusuke: Where's Craig? Senior: I have no idea what you're talking about....I can't beleive you're real! My little sister was right! He lit a cigarette to calm his nerves. Senior Friend: Dude, can't you see that Jason is a little freaked here? You surprised attacked him! He's really sensetive! Yusuke: You got it all wrong! I wasn't the one that fought you! That mob of girls chasing after me was the one that hurt you. You just got in the way. Senior guy smoking(Jason): Just go away! We don't want to be interregated by bullies!! Yusuke: 0_o...... Botan: Can we go now? -
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I saw this finally at Suncoast... Then again at Blockbuster. I almost picked it up. The price is excellent... $5 for something that size is so rare lately. I grabbed one of the subscription cards instead of buying it though. I'm not so sure if it's something I'll be interested in. I'm not into things such as Yu-Gi-Oh and the other more popular ones there are anime of now. Sand Land did strike my interest though... So who knows.
Yu-Gi-oh! is MUCH different in the Anime than the Manga. I prefferably like the Manga MUCH better. At least try it....and what about Yu Yu Hakusho? It's a really great Manga too. And yes, Genkai, Inuyasha first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan back in 1997 so it was in Shonen Jump. If you did a little research to where Inuyasha first started, you would find that I am right.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Yu Yu Hakusho! replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
OMG....no way!! I can't beleive those bastards would do that!!!! First they move the Anime to when most people can't watch it, and now they're taking off Inuyasha! They must really be trying to loose viewers! I wouldn't be surprised if they took off Yu Yu Hakusho just to put on Barney.....Cartoon Network SUCKS. -

Good. Just as long as people don't forget about it and decide to ditch it. -
I know....but most Haiku's aren't supposed to make much sense and mine didn't. We were learining about them the other day in Language Arts and they said that they don't HAVE to be 3 liners. Some famous ones were longer than that.

Stomach Flu: Hell in Your Own House
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine Yeah, I've been pretty ill recently too. My dad came back last Friday night with a terrible stomach ache, so he said. I didn't think too much of it until I heard horrible noises coming from the loo. Then I knew he was really sick, and I hoped that the rest of my family wouldn't too. Anyways, everything looked okay until Mondya morning, when I woke up at 5am with a rather bloated feeling. After spending an agpnising 50 minutes sitting on the toilet floor I threw up. The worst thing about it was the build-up. I just wanted to get it over with. Another fifty minutes later it happened again, with the same horrible build-up. This happened six times until I finally fell asleep and woke up to watch Outlaw Star at half eight. Then I fell asleep again. On Tuesday I woke up with my neck aching like anything. I knew it had been from lying down all day and night, but I could hardly move. I was feeling a little better, though, and was able to move around a bit, but still couldn't eat. Wednesday wasn't much better, and I'm still ill today. That sick feeling came back, too, after I ate a slice of bread >_< I know how you feel, YYH. It's not very nice. It's had me stuck in the house almost all week, and I'm going to have to miss fencing and gym, too. At least it means I don't have to go to school, but I'd rather go than face this illness again.
That's exactly how it happened to me. I woke up feeling bloated and then I went downstairs since everyone was up. I layed on the couch for like 5 minutes and then threw up. I just uttered a few weak words, "I'm sick Dad..." and threw up some more. My dad had on The Mummy Returns on our sattelite and I watched it for another 20 minutes or so until I puked again, and on the way I didn't make it....AND to top it all off, being as sick as I was, I had to clean it up. But I don't blame my dad for not wanting to clean it. And I did and thank god it's all over. I didn't throw up anymore after that, and it was all on Saturday. That very day when I was sick I discovered the Anime Street Cats or something like that....about the 2 girls living in Chicago with the gun shop and all.....that was a good way to pass time. I slept on the couch in my living room because I didn't want to accidentaly puke in my bed or anything....but I didn't puke anymore after that. I didn't fall alseep until 4:00 AM while I watched my YYH DVD's. That was one of the worst days of my life in a long time. -
Originally posted by Endymion It's called "Adult" Swim. When they had it on Saturday nights, a lot of kids were watching it, and they weren't supposed to. The reason they moved it to weeknights is so kids with bedtimes can't watch it.
Yeah it's "Adult Swim" but to let you know, I'm not a child. I said that most of the viewers are over the age of 13. We STILL go to school and have bedtimes. That does not make us children. And yes, Cartoon Network sucks, but the Anime they show is not edited. It is pure 100% uncut. And I'm NOT sticking up for them. But I still have a right to be mad. On Saturdays, I can stay up as late as I want. On weeknights, I can't. Even older viewers (over 18) sometimes can't stay up that late because of jobs. Not that goes for everyone on weeknights. Weekends are the best time for everyone.

WARNING: This post may contain some information that may make you sick. Read with caution. I just got over the SF this week. First my mom had it last Monday (actually, the Monday before last) and then my dad got it after her, and then me. I got it on Saturday morning, last Saturday. I was so sick. And it just hit me right after I woke up. The last time I had thrown up had been when I went Deep Sea Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico back in 2000 and I discovered that one of my weaknesses is Seasickness. And now I did it again.....I didn't eat anything that day. All I did was just drink a little water and lay on the couch watching MIB II and Austin Powers: Goldmember. I started feeling better on Sunday and my dad decided that I was well enought to go to school on Monday. And no I wasn't! But I went anyway. And then he grounded me this week for not doing some stupid history homework when I WAS SICK. I guess he forgot that part. Well, it sucked, but I'm over it. Anyone else have it?

Gawd!!! I HATE Cartoon Network!!!!! Can you beleive what they did??? They took of Saturday Adult Swim (with all the Anime) and put it on Weekday nights. That sounds good, right? Well it isn't!!! Most of us have to go to school on weekdays and have a bedtime well before Midnight when YYH comes on!!!!! I mean, it's not really a big deal that I'm missing it since I've already seen the episodes, but it's the reason that they did it in the first place. I bet they're loosing a lot of viewers since most of the Adult Swim viewers are teens who go to school and have a bed time. It's not fair!!!! Anyone here agree?
-
YAY!!!!!!! Now I remember the name!!!!!! I was watching it last Saturday on the Action Channel. I watched the first 2 episodes and then my dad changed the channel. I really like the show. First one I've ever seen take place in America, let alone all the cars and stuff. Really cool show. But that day I had the Stomach Flu and I was puking my guts out so I hardly remember any of the show.......0_o Still, great show. If the Action Channel shows it again, I'll be sure to watch it.

She CAN, it's just that at the moment I wanted to make her a little "left out." Sorry, I'll let you deal with her from now on!!! ^_^; Oh yeah, and good post. Your part fit in perfectly. ;) Yusuke: Where's Keiko? Kuwabara still didn't answer. Yusuke: Dammit Kuwabara! You dragged us ALL the way over here to play another one of your DAMN jokes on us. Kuwabara looked at Yusuke with sad eyes. Yusuke: Ok, NOW I know something's up. What is it? Kuwabara: I can't tell you. Hiei: You fool! This could have something to do with the presence that we felt earlier! Tell us!!!!! Kuwabara's face turned a ghostly white. Kurama: Kuwabara! Listen! You MUST tell us what's going on!! He still didn't answer. He just looked at the ground, his face still pale. Yukina went up to him and placed her arm on his shoulder. Yukina: Please tell us Kazuma. We need to know. He looked into her big, beautiful pink eyes and sighed. He knew he had to tell them. He did go run up there and freak them out, after all. Kuwabara: Alright. I'm warning you, this may be too much for you to handle. Yusuke: Ok...so just get on with it!! Kuwabara: Well, Takenaka-Sensei came bursting into the class after lunch when you guys were on the roof. Yusuke: And why weren't you here with us? Kuwabara: I was studying. Yusuke:....0_o Kuwabara: Anyway, like I said, the old man came running in and called Keiko to go with him. They were just outside the hall and we could hear them. As it turned out, Keiko's mom is in a coma in the hospital now. I don't know why, but that's what he said. She's in a coma. And Keiko ran off screaming and crying out of school, just about 10 minutes ago. I think she's in the hospital with her parents now. Yusuke: Oh no!! Ma*! (*this is who he refers to as Keiko's mom. They are very close.) Hiei: Is that it? Nothing more? Kuwabara: I know YOU don't care, but isn't that strange that all of a sudden her mom just collapsed and is now in a coma? Hiei: So you freaked us all out with this little act of yours and all this is is someone sick in a hospital?!?!?!?!?!?!? 0_o (Everyone sweat drops, Anime style! ;) ) Kurama: Let's go check it out anyway. Yusuke was really worried. Yukimura-San was a very old friend of his. She felt like a mom to him, so they're pretty close. They all somehow escaped school just as Takenaka-Sensei came running out telling them to come back. They all headed to the local hospital where they were sure to find Keiko and her mother, along with Keiko's dad.
Originally posted by Anna I like rap's true form, and in the literary aspect of it. To me, the really good stuff has creative assonance and alliteration usage while still fueling the song's theme and keeping it flowing at a strong pace. I love the rhythmic qualities rap has. It's just sad that so many of the songs are.... crap.
Yes, I agree. I hate that. Rap has changed SO much from the way it started back in the late 80's...but anyway. Yes, rap has good rythyms and beats but the way it is today....it SUCKS.

From what I've heard, CN (Toonami) wil NEVER put Tenchi back on, sadly. I'm dissappointed. It was a good series. Remember when Adult Swim had it? And uncut? Well...I never watched AS back then. My friend told me that AS had it back then. I'm ashamed of myself for not watching AS when they first started putting on Anime. Anyway, I don't know who will ever air Tenchi, but from what we know now, there might not ever be a Tenchi again on TV. *pouts*
