I wish I had noticed this sooner. ~_~ Well, here goes: Name: Marika Age: 26 (actual age),15 (physical age) Occupation: Vampire (not hurt by sunlight) Weapons: Two Platinum Daggers and a leather whip Description: White hair, grey eyes, extremely tall, she wears a black leather dress with bondage straps and knee-high boots. Bio: Marika was murdered when she was 15 years old. She has wandered the desolate streets for 11 years, and is now in search of the blood of the special humans. She doesn't seem to belong to any gang, and her goal is to protect her only friend. She helps people out when she feels it will do her some good, and is very hard to get to know. Geist---> Sorry! I was confused! *thwacks herself over the head*

I read that .hack//Udeden takes place 5 years after the end of .hack//QUARANTINE (the fourth game). Just throwing in my two dollars (I'm not stingy).
Originally posted by TrickyNicky I guess that's an issue. So... yeah, my parents are pretty lenient.

Anime What would you do with youself if "The World" were real?
Makai Kite replied to Braidless Baka's topic in Otaku Central
If The World were real, I would probably collect all the rare items and try to become an extremely strong character (not the strongest, though. That would take too long.). I would also try to go to every field at least once. -
No. Sorry. It was late and I wasn't thinking clearly. I thought since neither Krim nor Sora won, both of you would lose half of what you bet. Oh, no... I'm confusing myself now. Just ignore me.

I've liked Tsukasa from the beginning. As you watch more, you'll find out why he thinks the things he does about other characters (calling them selfish, etc.). Also, when he shuts people out, I think it's mostly to protect them. When you think about it in that light, he's really a caring person. I think he cares, but he doesn't know how to show it. Remember what happened at the end of episode 2? If Tsukasa didn't care, would he have even tried to call off the Guardian? Well, those are just my thoughts.

Since we're on the topic of lyrics, does anyone know the lyrics to the song Mimiru (OST 2, Track 12)?

Anime (US/CAN) General thoughts and ratings for .hack//SIGN 14, "Castle"
Makai Kite replied to Shy's topic in Otaku Central
Rating: 10/10 Well, things are starting to get interesting. What we saw of the fight between Sora and Krim was great, but unfortunately, we won't be seeing the rest of it next week (next week there's a recap episode).
The broken man is Aura's creator-- he is composed of fragments of data left over from the original version of The World-- spoilers rock.
A lot of interesting points were brought up in the broken man's conversation with Tsukasa, Bear, and Mimiru, and this conversation should be kept in mind while watching later episodes (IMO, anyway). By the way,
the "father" reference will make more sense in a few episodes.
My main question last night after watching it was: What happened to BT? Did the sight of the broken man trigger a bad memory for her or something? Well, all in all, a great episode. Note: Don't read the spoiler unless you simply can't wait to find out who the broken man is. -
I know! I was just sitting there in shock!

Well...
It was a draw, from what I can tell. Guess you lose $2.50. ^_^
I love almost all of the music from .hack//SIGN (except for 2 songs-- Bear and Sora's BGM from his first appearance). Other songs I like include most of the Inuyasha OPs and EDs, the music from Cowboy Bebop, most of the character songs from Angelic Layer, and most of the Yu Yu Hakusho music I've heard.

Um... I just looked at Tokyopop's website and it said that the tentative release date for .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet Volume 1 was September 9.
-
I'd probably be a Wavemaster or a Twin Blade-- an agile character that relies more on intelligence and projectile weapons than extremely strong attacks. PS: Tsukasa did open the treasure chest, if I remember correctly.
-
I personally don't think Tsukasa is being selfish or arrogant. He just isn't good at associating with others very much. I also think that everyone's concern for him will prove to be his salvation in the end. Just thought I'd throw in my two yen.

Marika and Kaya ran to a Chaos Gate. They stood in front of it for a bit. ?Uh? what do we do now?? Kaya asked. ?Did you bother to read a single page of the manual?? Marika asked in disbelief. ?Well, I read the Health Warnings and stuff about creating accounts and I read the stuff about character classes, too? but nothing else. I mostly just get info from other players.? ?Jeez, do I have to do absolutely everything?? Marika warped them to a random field. ?Whoa. That was different,? Kaya said. Marika ignored her. She was trying to figure out which direction to head in. Soon after she had figured it out, she lost sight of Kaya. She wondered why for a second. Oh, I forgot , Marika thought to herself. Sky Runners are one of the most agile character classes. No wonder I can?t see her anymore. ?Kaya!? she shrieked. ?Where in the name of Anubis are you?? After a few minutes, Marika finally caught up to Kaya. ?Could you walk a bit slower?? she asked. Kaya said, ?I?ll give it a shot. Sorry. I forgot you weren?t as agile as I am.? This conversation came to an abrupt halt when they heard something stomping behind them. It was a huge high-level monster! Marika must not have been paying attention to the recommended level they should have been at before warping to this field. Kaya asked, ?What on Earth is that?? ?I?m sorry! I didn?t pay much attention to the recommended level we should be at!? Marika tried to use some spells on the monster, but every one of them missed. Kaya took a different approach. She threw random objects at it. However, this didn?t do much either. It just made this huge monster even angrier. There was only one thing to do? ?Run.? And so, the two tried to run away from the monster so they could Gate Out to Azure City. However, the monster could easily catch up. ?That thing is pretty fast for being so huge!? Marika said. Kaya simply nodded her head in agreement. The monster caught up to them and killed Marika, leaving Kaya to try to fight the behemoth by herself. Kaya saw some weapons that Marika had left behind. She threw the light axe at it, but it only did a bit of damage. Better than nothing, she thought. Her eyes wandered over to the staff. She took it in her hands and swung it at the monster. Suddenly, a message popped up onscreen: ?System Error?. The monster lay in pieces on the ground and faded away? Later, Melissa received an E-mail from the administrator and one from Evira. The one from the admin apologized for the situation that occurred earlier. It also said that a monster like that had never appeared in that certain field before. Strange, Melissa thought? ?Yes. Very.? Melissa looked back... OOC: Sorry I took so long. I had finally sat down to type a post yesterday but I ended up losing it because my computer was being stupid. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Evira had downloaded "Azure Sea" over a week ago, but she still hadn't gotten a chance to play it at all because of school, piano lessons, etc. It was late on a Friday night when she finally got the chance to create her character and start playing. She hadn't read the manual because she didn't think "Azure Sea" would be that different from the previous version of "The World". She would soon find out how wrong she was... After she created her character, she chose a username and password. Login. Username: Marika Angelus Password: ****** With that, Evira fell into what felt like a deep sleep... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Marika saw "The World" for the first time in a while. "And I thought the last version was cool-looking," she said as she stared in amazement at the landscape before her. She wandered around for a while in Azure City, chatting with other players and gathering information on good spots for newer players. She heard that the Summer Grove was a good place to go. After she got there, she decided to master the use of her new weapon and learn the basics of Item Synergy. After fighting a lot of low-level monsters and leveling up a bit, she went back to Azure City. As Marika was buying and trading items, she had the strange feeling she was being watched by someone familiar to her... Actually, the first DVD of Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar has already been released by Pioneer under the title "Sugar: Sweet Mischief". The second DVD will be released tentatively on June 10. I'm not sure what stores you could buy it from, though.
Originally posted by Braidless Baka EDIT: Meep! I just looked at that website Mei, it says there it's a TV show... O_o I'm all confused now! Was the manga made into a TV series? Because that snapshot of the two kids looks REALLY like some manga scans I've seen... *prods people who know to help clear it up* O_o!
Yep! The .hack manga was made into a TV series, .hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu (.hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet). It essentially seems to follow the same basic storyline as the manga. As for the manga, according to Animenation's news from yesterday, it's been licensed by an unidentifiable manga publisher here in the US. I'm not sure about other countries, though.

.hack//MUTATION isn't out yet. It will be released on May 6.
-
The English release of the .hack manga was released in Singapore on March 6, 2003. I've managed to find it on eBay, so if you look there, you might be able to find it.

Well, according to PumpXtreme, there's been talk of an X-box version and a PS2 version.

I love this game, and I'm getting better at it. However, I'm not nearly good enough to even *pass* Dead End. I can't even do that on Basic. >_< Sadly, I don't have the metal pads (I'm too poor)... but I do have DDR Konamix and DDRMAX and a soft mat (mine has lasted for way over a month, too). As for machines, our mall has a DDRMAX2 around, but other than that... nothing. It's sad, really. IcyBunny... which episode of Will and Grace was this? Was it the one that aired on April 17 at 9PM ET? I seem to remember someone playing DDR...

Like Lauren, I've only ever "kissed" someone in grade school (I don't remember why I kissed him-- I hated the guy the next day) and it was in the second grade. I don't even remember what he looked like, I just remember his name-- (name withheld). I think I kissed this guy on the school bus-- something I wouldn't think of doing now! Oh, yeah... I don't remember how it was.
