According to Toon Zone, Cartoon Network is going to take full advantage of Time Warner/AOL, and air some of Kids WB's most popular series in Prime Time! Plus all sorts of other stuff is happening too...
Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh join Cartoon Network Primetime: Replacing Dexter's Laboratory and Johnny Bravo are two of Kids WB's greatest hits, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh. They will air weeknights from 9:00 to 10:00 pm. They will also start from the very beginning, so Pokémon fans will want to have their VCRs ready.

The Brand New Midnight Run: After housing Dragonball Z for a year, The Midnight Run finally revises itself. At midnight is G Gundam, a show that had previously been removed from Toonami afternoons this month. At 12:30 am is the return and official Cartoon Network debut of the action-cartoon classic G.I. Joe, which had been tested in the summer and succeeded with flying colors.

Super Saturdays Make Room for Gundam: In addition to The Midnight Run, G Gundam will find another slot to rest for people who don't like staying up. From 2:00 to 3:00 pm, you'll be able to catch Domon, Rain, and the others with two back-to-back episodes.

I hate DBZ with a passion, but deffinitly agree that they should have changed the full-DBZ lineups. They need to make room for shows once DBZ ends, in case another show attracts that much attention.

As for the other shows that are being replaced, I don't really care for them, nor do I the shows that are being put there instead.

So let me look at it this way; in one hand anime, the other cartoons. [sarcasm]Desicions, desicions.[/sarcasm]

Yu-Gi-Oh! was actually much more mature in Japan. You do know that, right? They should license the uncut version for US license, but if Pioneer licensed it, it would either be rated 13+ or 16+ because of some of the content.

SPOILER

Especially once the concepts of death due to the Shadow Games/Games of Darkness and the God cards are introduced, along with Bakura's monsters, I don't know how they're going to edit those things. The show is also quite a bit suggestive.

Finally its about time they get rid of that double Dragon Ball dose on that line up its horrible. Even though Pokemon and Yugioh aren't exactly the best replacements for it and I could give some better suggestion this is enough good news to embrace. Though as for the G-Gundam additions I really think they are going to burn out that show like they did with DBZ.

They don't seem to think so... Considering how much money they've made off DBZ, they're probably very willing to burn out G-Gundam... CN is kind of irritating like that. One show becomes a hit, and they paste it all over the place... Not many other stations have new hit shows on that many different time blocks...

I hate what Cartoon Network has become now. They had quite a lot of variety when I was younger. Now everything is Cartoon Cartoons, animes (or excuse me DB/DBZ), or Adult Swim. Nothing wrong with that, but as much as all their shows have been seen, I wouldn't be surprised if my seven-year-old brother knew everyone listed in the credits of every show.

I'm glad that they are reshowing Pokemon season 1, pretty much the only one that had original storylines, and Yu-Gi-oh season 1, which I can finally sit down and watch, but they need to finish DB/DBZ and hurry up and start/finish DBGT. I'd also be happy if there was more variety to Toonami. Maybe they could bring over the anime Beast Wars and Beast Wars 2, anything is better than Armada, or maybe Monster Ranchers or something like that.

Yeah, and you know they're gonna time DBGT so it comes out just in time to pick up at the end of Dragon Ball...anything to make more $$$.

Personally, I feel that they should only show DBGT on Saturday's since it's so short because if they show it every day, they might as well show the entire series in 1 season. It'd only take 2 to 3 months to do so, and the Jinzouningen(Android)/Cell saga alone was longer than that.

Uhh, okay...

I appreciate you remembering and all, but I never heard him say that, lol. I just thought that I didn't like DBZ anymore, but I used to love it. So I hate it, but at the same time admire it for the time when I used to like it. I hate it with a passion. No one can say that they invented that phrase. o_O

As for DBGT, It's not going to take 2 or 3 months, lol. More like 2 or 3 years. Meh, ok, 2 years. Remember how the only show about 50 eps per season? Well, with 64 (I think) eps, they most likely will cut it in half, expecting to get a large profit like they are currently doing with DBZ.

First of all, I shoulda made my post more clearer and said they COULD show it in 1 season(in less then 2 or 3 months.). But you gotta admit, that would be kinda stupid if they actually cut it in half. That would mean we'd get maybe 2 months of new episodes(not including holiday's and stuff because you know they always show somethin special on them days. *shudders at the Courage marathon last week*)and then the other 10 months would be reruns(that would equal up to 5 sets of reruns, which would in point turn people from DBGT and not even think about watchin the next season). So lets take a look at this....

64 eps, they couldnt divide it into 2 seasons UNLESS, they only showed 16(beginning with the beginning of DBGT through the Pan as a doll saga) eps for the first season, and then 48 eps the next season. Those 48(beginning with the Rirudo/Bebi saga) eps would more than likely go to a waste because people would get sick and tired of the reruns and decide to not even watch that timeslot again. And you say it'd help em "make" profit? If they do that, they'd lose more money than MC Hammer did. Hell, probably would lose more money than Sisqo did when he made that "Unleash The Dragon" video that never aired on TV.

So I stick with what I said. The SMART thing for them to do is show DBGT ONLY on Saturday's(about like they originally did with the Garlic Jr. Saga). This way, if they do wanna split it up into seasons and let it drag out for 2 or 3(MAYBE 4) seasons, then they could do so. But if they show it daily, fans will get sick of it and not watch it again(and DBGT would end up a flop here just like it did in Japan).

Overall, it was good changes for CN. Although, I agree they shoud've replaced the Powerpuff girls instead of Dexter with Pokemon. ALso, I still think there showing too much DB and DBZ but hey, when u got a top rated show, what network would neglect showing the series 24/7?

After seeing Yu-Gi-Oh now making its way CN, it's a pity to see how its so close to Adult Swim if only it wasn't liscenced by stupid 4Kids. Like Kaiba's Angel said, If ADV, Pioneer, or some of the other dvd companies that target older audiences could liscnece this show, it could have reached a much more broad viewing area and we'd see decent eps of the shows being released in the US. O well...

Yeah, I said that they will probably do that, but I wouldn't support them in their decision.

As for showing it on Saturdays only, that would take literally years to show 64 eps if they go by seasons. If do it all at once, people would complain of not getting re-runs, if, say, they miss one eps and are thrown off-track of the story-line.

I'm not quite sure how Cartoon Network is going to do this, but either way, we will complain about their crappy buisness ideas. :) Funimation on the other hand, they will probably release a continuim of DBGT tapes, 2 every month, 3 per tape, as the do DBZ.
