Anime a waste of time ??

i've been thinking. all the time when Gohan,Goku,Goternks etc were fighting Buu, they were fighting to protect the people of Earth and the planet.
But what is the point of protecting the people of Earth when they are already dead. When all the people are dead the z-fighters are still fighting to save earth.....i just dont see the point ?

if the Earth is still there, than that means that the Dragonballs are still there so they can wish the people of Earth back.

Yea I agree with Super Goku. But if Dendae was dead and out of the picture then yea that would be a waste of time. Since you need Dendae alive to use the dragonballs.

yeah but they can also use the Namek Dragonball to wish the people of Earth back, and if they did not destroy the enemy then he could go and destroy other plantes including Namek

I don't think they were ever fighting to save the Earth. I think they were fighting to save the entire Universe. Buu never intended to stop when he destroyed Earth. He was created to destroy all planets and all life in the Universe (I assume).

Yeah you are correct, Buu destroyed many planets before he went to Earth

well there buddy boy. Considering that namek has no more dragonballs after guru passed on.......yeah. Therefore, they were fighting to protect the entire universe, and such, but mainly for dende, because they could wish for the universe back, if most of it was lost due to the fight......

It does not state anywhere that when Guru passed on the balls were gone. Because when Goku died against Cell they said they would go to Namek to wish him back. Remember Guru passed on his thrown to another Namek, meaning the Dragonballs did not disappear

Speaking of them protecting the earth though, they were trying to keep the earth from being destroyed because the Dragonballs were on it. Well, they didnt do a good job of it since Kid Buu destroyed it anyway along with atleast 10 other planets while looking for Goku and Vegeta. Hell, he even came close to destroying the spiritual world to.
