DragonLance: The New Age

Long ago in the history of a far away world, a dark Dragon Lord named Armageddon ravaged the lands, destroying many of the dragon races and dragon kin. Together, with five other dragons, Stryker was able to defeat the Dragon Lord and trapped him inside of a dormant volcano, Dragon Mountain. The prison held him for nearly 65 million years before an unknown force released him. The descendants of the original six dragons that defeated him the first time gathered to combat Armageddon. To help in their efforts, they organized a force of knights, known as the Dragon Knights, and made ready to attack the Dragon Lord. Unknown to all of them, Armageddon was not alone. Vertigo, his mate, had been waiting for the opportune time to release the Dragon Lord, and after millions of years of waiting, was not ready to be defeated as easily as Armageddon had once been. Together, the two Dark Dragons massed up a fighting force christened the Black Knights. They also convinced many of the dragons to ally with them, and with the strong numbers, waged war.

The battle against the pair was costly, and seeing how the earth needed its own defense in case they were soon gone, the Guardians solidified the newly forged Dragon Knights. With their help, the knighthood soon became recognized as the new peace keeping force and enforcer throughout the lands. All this while, Armageddon was brewing plans of revenge. He gathered together a force of the most feared thieves, assassins, and the remaining survivors of the Black Knighthood, and readied for a new war.

This second war swept throughout the lands, bringing to the surface every conflict that had ever arisen between species, races, and kingdoms. The wars were violent and brought new forms of combat and wizardry to the battlefields. The great Noble Dragons and their allies were pitted against their evil brothers. Firedragons, Stardragons, Waterdragons, Winddragons, Snowdragons, and Earthdragons waged fierce battles in the skies. In an effort to gain a military edge over the forces of The Dragon Knights, the dark sorcerers conceived a new hybrid warrior. This warrior was formed from dragon eggs stolen from their nests. The end result was a dragon hybrid warrior known as the Draconian. Standing on average seven feet tall with the metallic skin of their unknown families, the Draconians soon became feared. They had the teeth, horns, wings, and a tail like a dragon, yet fought and spoke like a human. The tides of war changed. However, due to the clashing of various types and styles of magic used in the creation of these beasts, several variations, or "styles" of Draconians were formed. Some had the misfortune of turning to stone instantly upon death, silently disarming the victor, while others would explode, capturing all near them in a spectacular ball of fire that would kill all in it. Some would expel poisonous gasses while another would take the form of the one who killed him, often times causing confusion.

The Draconians were a devoted warrior race and soon became feared by both their enemies and allies. They were often sent to do the most dangerous missions, tasks that were labeled impossible by many of the Generals in the Black Knights. Due to their skill and often times fanatical devotion to their allies, the Draconians would always leave a surprise, whether it was success, or in the rare instances of defeat, fighting to the last man and inflicting terrible damage to the other side.

Despite this new weapon, the dark forces once more began to fall back in their attacks. The forces of The Knighthood were winning, and using newer methods of attack and defense to keep the Draconians at bay. In the end, all would go there own separate way. The Draconians became a new race in the world, and learned how to make more of their own kind from the dragon eggs. Their numbers would go on to grow near unchecked.

During this second war a rumor spread, telling of unlikely warriors for the Dragon Knight forces. The rumor spread and became a popular tale long after the war's end. Very few, though, knew that the tale was true.

Ykonis walked through the thick foliage of the outskirts of Solace, the once beautiful city in the trees. Now, after the wars, it was half destroyed suspended in the air. He shook his head sadly. He was about to turn when he heard a scream, like an animal in a death throe. He ran to investigate and found an evil looking man whipping a a half-canine half-wolf.

"Stop that! What did this poor beast do to YOU?" Ykonis practically yelled.
"I suggest you leave before trouble brews elven-scum," the unknown stranger said with a sneer.

With that said Ykonis drew his sword and cleanly slashed the mans head of. He looked at the animal and saw many scars. He made camp right at that spot and started caring for the animal.

"Aria! come back here!" Aria hears her adoptive mothers voice, but ignored it and got on her horse to go to the river in the middle of the forest. "Come on Kana, lets go faster." The horses hoves punded on the ground like earth drums, she felt so free, the air through her hair made chills go down her spine. She loved this. She saw the river ahead and slowed Kana to a stop and the waded into the water kana splahed around and Aria Relaxed and stared to float down river.

AND STAY OUT YOU THEIF! Riona heard the guard say as he threw her outside the village's gates and slam the gate shut. Riona tried to get up but fell back to the earth, the whip's scars still stung. I didn't steal that meat she thought as she got up and started down towards the woods that stood next to the town.

"Great that is the fifth town I've been kicked out of in a month," she said to herself.

She continued walking deep into the woods finally feeling relaxed and at home she walked soundlessly to a secret spring she called, Nioso, took of her cloak and weapons, and jumped in, swimming with great speed, she had never known her parents and wondered what she was half of besides Qualinesti, suddenly as she was lying in the sun drying in the sun she heard something, she went up and looked it was a female lone wolf, who was pure black with the exception of three gray socks, and yellow eyes like hers...

"come here," she whispered softly

Surprisingly the wolf came, that night they slept under the warmth of the cloak. the next morning the wolf was still there, so Riona decided to call her Twomoons because of her eyes. She fed Twomoons some food and they set out into the woods playing a game sort'a like tag.

A clang rang through Mereklar as a young elf sent his master to his feet, chuckling gently as he stood, wiping his arse of the dust. As Master Srilvesti rose, he clapped his sword to Aldra's shoulder, knighting him in full with a gleam in his eye.

Master Srilvesti:Hunter, my son, you are now a knight in your own right. May you be fruitful in the quest Majere and Bast have placed upon you. now go, Aldra Srilvesti, my son!

Hunter turned and ran out of Mereklar, calling his black cat, Artos, and his semidragon, Challis, to heel. Challis rested on her master's shoulder, the foot-long gold wyrmling crooning softly. Artos meowed as he jumped into a pouch at Hunter's waist, purring as Hunter sheathed his sword Alaris on his back. Hunter turned and cast one final look at his hometown, smiling and giving a salute to his birthplace.

Hunter:Glory to thee, Mereklar, City of Felines. May I one day have the pleasure of rescuing you from danger as the great Majere brothers, Raistlin and Caramon, warrior and wizard, once had the privelege of doing with Bast's help.

With that, hunter and his two diminutive companions set out towards the hometown of Hunter's heroes, Caramon and Raistlin Majere. They planned on being in Solace by the next morning with hunter's unnatural speed. Hunter smiled as he remembered the reason for his speed. His thought strayed to the day his great-great-grandfather, Tanis half-Elven had given him the gift on his deathday. Hunter began to tear up as he remembered the old hero and how, over many, many years, the half-elven blood had been restored to full Silvanesti. Hunter sighed, moving slightly faster so that Challis had to wrap her tail around Hunter's throat to regain her balance, creeling in protest. Hunter sighed apologetically and stroked his favorite's neck, making her creel in pleasure. Hunter looked to the sun as it reached its zenith, wondering what the world was coming to.

Elsyan could now see the outskirts of Solace. She had been traveling for many days from Qualinesti and was relieved when she saw the many buildings and houses built in the trees. She walked towards it and looked around. One of the first things she had wanted to do once she finally reached Solace was to visit the Tomb that contained Tanis Half-Elven's body. She had heard of the marvellous deeds that he had done, and felt it just wouldn't be right if she left the city without paying her respects to him. However, finding the tomb would be very difficult since the city was big. Since many people were wandering the streets, she had to keep to one side so she wouldn't get lost in the crowds.

Elsyan-(thinks)It's going to take a while before I can get anywhere in this city!

ooc: I gotta go. Sorry

Ykonis woke up extremely late for his usual waking up. It was already close to noon. He looked over and say that the half-wolf was better and moving around like nothing happened.

Hmm, Ykonis thought with a smile, I guess miracles do come true.

Ykonis stood and said "I'm going to have to give you a name boy. What should I call you?"

The half-wolf looked like it smirked and ran to a rowan tree and began barking.

"Rowan huh?"

"RUFF!"

"Hahahahaahhaha! Rowan it is. Well, let us move along Rowan. We have a long journey ahead of us if we want to reach Solace."

With that said, Ykonis and Rowan began marching at a brisk from the camping area. Ykonis had no valueables there since he used tree foliage for a tent.

Aria looks to see that she was flaoting towards some rapids. She whitled for Kana and the black and brown mare ran up beside her in the river.

Aria: Follow me down river, i'm going to go down the rapids met me on the other side. you got that Kana?

The horse whinnied and started to trot down the river ahead of her. She started to swim towards the rapids and the water surged under her, pushing her forwards, urgeing her tomove quicker. The current swept her off her feet and the rip current tried to bring her under. This was fun for her. Fighting in the waves and being tossed around, it also helped her train. By the time she was done she came out with a large cut on her leg and nothing more. Kana walked over to her, Aria hopped on.

Aria: lets go back to the house, i can smell somethin' cooking.

Hunter entered Solace light-heartedly, despite the dead ogre halfway between Solace and Mereklar. As he walked into the busy tree-city, he noticed a Qualinesti elf having trouble. Hunter, using his skills, moved over to the elf as best he could, realizing that she was having a hard time with the crowds.

Hunter:Hello, friend. My name is Aldra Srilvesti, and it appears that you need help.

Elysan:Yes, I do need help! I'm trying to get to the tomb of Tanis Half-Elven, but I'm having trouble with the crowds!

Hunter mulled over things for a while, trying to decide how to help the young elf. He sighed inwardly, realizing the only truly effective way would be to carry her among the trees.

Hunter:Please do not be disconcerted, but I shall have to carry you to help you. It will only be until we reach my great=great grandfather's tomb.

With that, Elysan nodded her head and felt Hunter's strong arms lift her gently from the ground. Using his abilities, he jumped from tree to tree, eventually reaching his ancestor's tomb. As Hunter set Elysan down, he felt a twinge of sadness at the fact that he might not see her again afetr today. He sighed and decided on something drastic.

Hunter:After we are done at Tanis' tomb...perhaps you could join me at Otik's for a plate of spiced potatoes? And you seem to be in need of rooms. I have money to spare. Perhaps you could stay with me in a two-bed room?

Elysan:I would enjoy it immensely. It is nice to know there are other elves as polite as the great Tanis. I shall join you at the inn....but I'm afraid of the crowds again.

Hunter needed no more encouragement. He stood by the doorway of the sacred grave, ready to lift Elysan into the trees to the inn. He smiled, realizing that he felt something towards her. Artos mewed softly as he jumped out of his pouch and began to purr against Elysan's legs as Challis flew up from her perch to Elysan's shoulder. Hunter was surprised. His pets usually hated any other sentient beings aside from himself. He took this as a sign from Majere and nodded lightly, watching as Elysan enjoyed the company of the little kitten and the golden wyrmling.

Riona kept walking until she got to tired, then she climbed up a tree to keep out of site, but when Twomoons whined she climbed back down and decided inside a ring of bushes instead.

Riona: Which town have I not been kicked out of yet?

It took some time before...

Riona: Solace! It is too big to just pick on a outcast half elf, so I'll head there I've been there before and nothing happened.

Riona then noticed she was talking outloud and quit. She looked at Twomoons. Would she be scared of people, what was she saying she was a person too and Twomoons came right up to her unafraid. But then her hand went under her cloak's hood and felt her ear which instead of feeling skin she felt the wolf fur covering it, as a little voice said in her head, "Ah, but you know you are not just half Qualinesti and Human you are also part wolf." Twomoons barked to get going, so Riona got up and starting heading through the woods to Solace.

Riona:Were going to Solace, Twomoons

Twomoons yepped her approval as if she had been waiting for Riona to go there, or as if Riona was destined to go there....

Siren sipped at her tankered at the Inn of The Last home in Solace... She sighed... She felt wander lust as bad as any kender and would soon move on... She had been here once, long ago, when Solace was in it's prime... She blinked away the memorys... It was better not to dwell on the past... She watched as the people came and went, her lifespan far outlasting any of theirs... She stood, her chair scraping across the old wooden floor... She deftly avoided the drunk and searching hands of some of the regular occupants... Siren came up to the bar and tapped it to get the barkeeps attention...

Barkeep: What can I get ya, Miss?

Siren: I'm in need of a room for the night...

BK: The night is long from now...

Siren nods and slides a gold coin across the bar...

Siren: I need you to hold it for me...

She nods to the coin

Siren: That should cover any inconviences...

BK: Very well... Heres the key...

He tossed it to her and she caught it, never taking her eyes off of him...

Siren: Thank you...

She went to her room and dropped her canvas bag on the bed... She wanted to take a breather... and her human form was beggining to become cramped... A short flight would do her good... She exited the room, locking it behind her

When Riona reached Solace, which took less tiime than she thought it would she pulled out a rope and...

Riona: Twomoons I'm going to put this around ya' so I won't lose ya' in the crowds.

With that said she tied a makeshift harness out of it and put it around Twomoons body. She walked in the city careful to pull her hood up to cover her furry elf ears. Then walked in the city with Twomoons by her side. She made it to the Inn in no time, she could squeeze and twist through the crowds as easy as soap does in your hands. She walked in silently with Twomoons and paid for a few nights then picked out the darkest corner and sat down, and took Twomoons harness off cause' she wasn't going outside anymore. Then she looked around and noticed two elves, one a Qualinesti girl the other a Silvenesti boy, who were staring at her, they quickly looked away and started whispering. Riona felt like she was pulled to them and couldn't take her eyes off them. And with her ears she overheard their coversation,

Girl: Don't you fell like we should go talk to that person, Aldra?

Aldra: Yeah, but she don't look the friendly type, Elsyn(sp?).

Elsyn: Her eyes are shining in the dark, just like the wolf thats next to her.

Aldra: They sure are

Suddenly Twomoons got up and went over to them and sat beside them, whineing for Riona to come. Riona had no choice besides she was curious, why did she fell like she couldn't leave them. So she got up and went to stand by Twomoons trying to get her to come she wouldn't budge...

Elsyn: Uhh...*trying to think of something to say* What's her name?

Riona: *startled looks around making sure they were talking to her* Twomoons she said quietly.

Aldra/Hunter: Fits her, What's your name?

Riona: Riona * says even quieter*

Aldra: Why don't you sit with us?

Riona had no choice Twomoons wasn't budgeing so she sat next to Twomoons. Replying only to some of the questions they both pelted her with.

Hunter and Elsyan were having a great conversation with Riona as she seemed to overcome her shyness. She and Hunter were talking, when she looked up at him and felt a twinge in her stomach. There was just something about him like a warm glow, or a peaceful feeling. Suddenly she realized that they had stopped talking and had turned their attention to the door. Twomoons even seemed troubled about something. She shifted from paw to paw uneasily, and they seemed to be listening for something. Elsyan's ears picked up the sound then too. It was like a low rumbling coming towards Solace.

Elsyan-What is it?

Riona-It sounds like thunder.

Hunter-Whatever it is, it's trouble, that's for sure.

The three of them stood up. It seemed that everyone in the inn could hear the rumbling noise now. The three of them reached for their weapons as the sound came closer.

Hunter stood up quickly, eyeing the door of the tavern as he felt a ripple of air flow in from outside. Sudenly, a gruesome looking Drider burst in. The spyder-fiend leapt forward, smiling maliciously, and attepmted to skewer Elysan with a spear. Hunter cried out, jumping between the blade and the elf. The lance sank into Hunter's stomach, wrenching a scream of pain from his now-bloody lips. Elyan leapt up, slashing the Drider's neck. The fiend's echoing cry resounded and sputtered as Hunter sank to the floor, his breath ragged. Elysan gave Riona a look that clearly said "Stay here" as she helped Hunter up to their room. Hunter lay on the mat, his breath growing more and more ragged. Elyan began to dress his wounds, wondering the whole time why she was crying. Hunter suddenly opened his eyes, the wound bandaged over by Deedlit, and his breath became less labored. He leaned back against his bed, and Elysan simply collapsed.

Elysan:Aldra....

Hunter:Call me Hunter, please. My friends do.

Elysan:Hunter...don't ever do that to me again....

Hunter:Elysan....I...I've fallen in love with you.

Hunter's strength held her up, restored to its fullest, and Hunter pulled her close, thanking her with the look in his eyes. He gently kissed her as he smiled, but her hand accidentally brushed the wound. Hunter gasped slightly through the kiss, then pulled back and began to grow dizzy. He'd lost too much blood. He fainted in Elysan's arms.

Ykonis walked nto the town of Solace with Rowan heeled at his side. He strided over to the Inn Of The Last Home and opened the door. As it opened he saw the carcass of a Drider on the floor.
"Arr?" Rowan implied.
"I don't know buddy," Ykonis said to Rowan. He turned to the barkeep.
"What happened here my friend?"
"That thing-it came up in here- skewered an elf-and another elf killed it-and now I don't know what to do," the BarKeep said in a hurry.
"Do not worry I shall dispose of the body."
With that said Ykonis started making symbols in the air and said an ancient language and the body levitated off the ground, sailed out the door, and landed on the outskirts of town. Ykonis slumped.
"Are you ok friend? the BarKeep asked.
"I-I will be. Thank you for your concern. I would like to rent a room in advance if you don't mind."
BK:"No problem."
Ykonis:"Here is a gold piece for the room in advanced" Ykonis hands him a gold piece "And here are 5 more for my meal and board." Ykonis then handed 5 more gold pieces to the Bar Keep.
BK:"Thank you kind sir! If you need anything you just ask me!"
Ykonis laughed merrily. "I'll be sure to."

Rowan wagged his tail playfully at Ykonis.

"Let's go for a walk boy...What do you say, huh?"
"Ruff!"
"HAHAHAHAAHA! All right then."

Rowan and Ykonis ran out of the Inn Of The Last Home and started into the woods when the saw a female in a clearing in front of them. She was changing shape!
"Rrr-"
"Shh. Be quiet boy!" Ykonis whispered.

The beautiful female turned into a dragon! A silver dragon to be exact! It stretched its' wings and yawned.

Ykonis walked up from behind the magnificent beast and coughed.

The dragon whirled around. "OH NO! YOU SAW ME CHANGE!"
"Do not be alarmed! I mean you no harm! I did not know that any metallic dragons survived all the wars!"
"Well some did. I'm going now!" After that said the dragon flew off into the twilight sky.

OOC: "Oh no! you saw me change!!" *falls over laughing her azz off* Sorry... No offence ment Ykonis... But... LMMFAO
*giggles as she types*

IC:

Siren swooped through the skys, her mind troubled... No one had known about her dragon shape for many years... She carefully cast the spell to hide her from the eyes of mortals... She sighed, scorning her rashness... She could have just wiped his mind... It would have severly sapped her strength... But it would have saved her identity... By now the memory would be imprinted in his mind and any spell she cast would be useless... Siren grumbled and alighted near a small stream, slowly transforming back into her human form... By a force of sheer will, she kept her wings until the very end... She collapsed by the stream and let her fingers trail through the water... She smiled at the feeling of the water swirling around her hand and she unconciously hummed fragments of song long forgotten by the human race, although some elves still might have remembered it... She drifted slowly into a light sleep

Hunter awoke, his shirt on the floor and Elysan was in his arm. Apparently she had used healing magic on him, for the wound was sealed and merely a scar now. He gently pulled Elysan closer, waking her and Challis, who slept on Elysan's stomach. The young fire-lizard creeled in protest as Hunter bent over and kissed Elysan's cheek gently. He stood, grasping his side and walking out into the streets. He left his shirt in the inn on purpose, calling Artos out of his cleft in the inn wall. The cat looked up at his friendly master, who relayed a telepathic message to the intelligent feline. Artos recieved fifteen gold pieces from his master and rushed away. Twenty minutes later, the cat came back, tail sticking straight up into the air. In his mouth he carried a small black box. Hunter opened the box to see a beautiful diamond necklace, engraved with the letters "E" and "A" inside a ruby heart, all of it set into an emerald rose bush with diamond buds. Hunter smiled and walked back into the inn, climbing back into bed and placing an extra helping of fish for Artos. Challis had snuggled deep into the crook of Elysan's neck. Hunter smiled.

Hunter:It seems little Challis has been Impressed by our dear friend. It is well that this is so. Now, to my plan. Hopefully, Elysan will find the note and necklace I place in her hand.

With that, Hunter fell to writing a note. When he finished, he pressed the note into the box, placing both into Elysan's hand, which curled up instinctively around it. Elysan began to stri, but Hunter had already crept back into bed completely and fell into a sort of trance-like sleep, praying the whole while that Elysan would see the note when she awoke. Elysan suddenly sat up, completely awake. She looked at her hand, opening the box slowly. She grabbed the note, reading it quickly, tears forming in her eyes as she did so.

Note:My dearest Elysan,
I know this may seem sudden, yet I cannot bear it any longer. For the last few hours, I have dreamed and hoped for us to be together forever. This necklace is simply a mere symbol of the love I hold for you. Perhaps, if you so wish it, you would marry me, taking the necklace as our engagement bond. Truly, I pray your answer is "yes", and nothing would make me happier.
With love,

ooc: Yikes! this is confusing I must have got something mixed up so Ive edited this post!
***************************************************
Riona was sitting outside the door when Aldra walked through unharmed but he didn't seem to notice her, he seemed happy. I would to if I just cheated death, Riona thought. Then Riona didn't know why but she started singing an ancient song...

Riona: Mo toq teh nosit akilig moroq wulina gee jax haw grohm nubs to he *continued to repeat the song, and to her surprise Elsyn walked out clunching some paper singing it with her, there was a big smile on her face*

Riona stopped singing, Elsyn had a dreamy look on her face

Elsyn: You have a beautiful voice, keep singing

Riona: Your the only one who have heard me sing, by the way what is the matter with you?

Elsyn: This *hands Riona the note, watching Riona read* Well?

Riona: Tis' not my place to say *smiling*

Together they walked outside with Twomoons close behind, each thinking about the note. Riona looked around the platforms on the neighboring trees, each about a two hundred feet off the ground, she sees Aldra on the nearby one. She watches him, puzzeling over him and the note, when she sees someone knock him. Riona on instinct grabbed a rope that was tied to the railing and ties it to her belt then stands on the railing..

Elsyn: What are you doing?

Riona: No time to explain *pointing to Aldra who had been pushed over the railing and was now falling throught the air*

Riona jumped, just when Aldra was level with her in the air, she slammed into him but grabbed him firly around the stomach. She looked down to see a crowd below pointing at Aldra and her, she looked up to see Elsyn looking down along with Twomoons and people from neighboring platforms. It all happened in slow mode for Riona....

Aldra turned his head to see who had caught him, his face full of surprise. Then the rope ran out and jerked her at the stomach, knocking the air out of her, she felt blood forced out of her mouth by the force, Aldra swung dangling(sp?) in her arms. He looked up scanning her up and down with admiration in his eyes, she smiled.

Aldra: Thanks, you saved my life

Riona: *cough* Your welcome!

They felt themselves being pulled up, it seemed like forever. Finally they were pulled under the railing and onto the platform, blood was still dripping out of Riona's mouth, she layed down coughing up blood. Aldra knelt beside her along with everybody else on the platform, Twomoons came and layed herself across her legs.

Some man: She has busted something inside her

Elsyn: She'll be alright, right

man: *feels around Riona's stomach* Yes, if you do what I say. Go lay her down, quickly!

Elsyn and Aldra carried her into the Inn, while the man pushed some bowls off a table.

Man: Over here!

He undid Riona's belt then pulled her shirt up halfway, looked surprise at all the scars she had. He bandaged her stomach then gave her some burning liquid to drink. Riona blacked out. Later on in a room at the Inn...

Riona: I'm alive *sits up in a bed*

Elsyn/Aldra: Yay! You lived! *both rush towards her*

Riona: Why wouldn't I be?

Elsyn: Your a hero you know, almost everyone in town knows what you did!

Riona:....Aldra, Elsyn, I've got to leave.......sorry...

Aldra: Call me Hunter, You are our freind, you can't leave!

Riona: You don't even know what I look like, or my whole name.

Elsyn: Well let us see you then

Riona:........*Twomoons jumps up and pulls off her hood*....No!

Elsyn and Hunter let out a gasp, but then...

Hunter: You honestly think that just because of what your ancestors are, that we wouldn't be your friends!

Elsyn: We're your friends no matter what!

Riona got up and hugged them both, with tears in her eyes

Riona: I did think that, but I now know you are my first true freinds ever!

Siren made her way up to the inn and nodded to the inn keeper as she passed... She made her way up to her room; barley glancing at the carcass sprawled on the floor... She stifled a yawn and slipped silently into her room... Without turning the lights on she crossed the room and turned to face the man standing beside the bed...

Siren: I thought I told you never to come to me again...

Man: But I've changed... Honestly-

Siren looked at him, a cold gleam in her eyes...

Siren: You haven't changed... You?re still a Black... I can smell it on you... You can't change your nature... I tried to help you once... I'll not make the same mistake twice... Go away...

The man scowls

Man: You make a mistake, you know...

Siren: No... It is you, Serric who made the mistake... You who betrayed me... It is because of you that we are two out of five of the only dragons left on this earth! You and those servants of your goddess... Tell me... Where is she now, your dark goddess of lies and deception... Where is she that she does not help you? Oh... That's right... She abandoned you... When the gods left us to our fate we began to die... Soon, new gods will come... And I promise, I promise that we shall die... Like our brethren...

She turned to the window...

Siren: I miss the moons...

Serric sighed and sat on the bed...

Serric: I feel the loss of the gods as keenly as you...

He moved and placed a hand on her shoulder... Siren leaned back against him, feeling the comforting beat of his dragon heart...

Siren: What are we going to do...

Serric: I don't know... Forge ahead and make the best of life I suppose... As we always have...

Siren closed her eyes and began to doze... She awakened with a start... She lay curled on the bed, Serric beside her, a note in his cold hands... Siren scrambled over to him, checking for his pulse or of any sign of life at all... She touched a orange smear on his lips... It burned her flesh...

Siren(whispered): Dragonsbane.... Oh no... What have you done... You fool... What have you done...

She broke down, sobbing and beating his chest with her fist... She finally exhausted herself and slumped against him, crying herself softly to sleep...

Hunter stood up, smiling gently as Riona's face was revealed. He turned and remembered his own ancestry, smiling less broadly. His blood, too purely Silvanesti to be much of a bolster to Riona's spirit, was far too clear. He then realized he'd been sleepwalking and that Challis and Artos were still hanging about Elysan's person. He smiled and noticed that whoever had knocked him over had also used a knife. he was bleeding again...

Siren awoke and looked at the note in Serric's hands...

Dearest Siren,

I spoke of forging ahead and making the best of life... But you are right... We will die... This is the best for our poeple and the human people... You were right about Thaksisis (sp?) She has abondoned us... Good bye...

Serric

Siren closed her eyes and sighed, standing and lifting him with ease... She placed his body on the floor and spoke the funerary rites... He began to burn with an unnatural fire and soon dissapeared, leaving nothing but a few specks of fine ash on the floor... She opened her door and kneeled, wiping at the blood on the floor and smelling it... Silvanesti... Elves were in the inn... She blinked and followed the trail of blood to a door down the hall... She knocked and await a reply...

Riona and Elsyn had been talking about the note Hunter had left when Hunter left the room, when they heard a knock. Riona jumped at the noise and pulled her hood back up over her ears, she wasn't quite ready for other people to know what she was. Twomoons went and smelt the door then yepped.

Elsyn: come in

Person behind door:.........

Elsyn: I said come in

ooc: sorry have to go to church! Bye!

Siren moved forward siniously and in the blink of an eye, she pushed back Riona's hood...

Siren: Hm... Elvan... But not the owner of the blood outside the door... It was male... Hm no matter... He was here...

She glanced at the elves and laughed... She proformed a sweeping bow, coming up with a spark of mischief in her eyes...

Siren: How rude of me... My name is Siren Kojia, last in the line of the Skyfire clan... And you are?

She let her hands drop to her sides, weaving a spell to cover the possibility that they might have reconised her for a dragon and smiled reasuringly... Prehaps they could tell her about the elf who saw her in the glade...

Ykonis exited his room to find the room with the other Silvanesti elf open. He walked in and spotted the dragon he saw in the glade.

"Your the..." he stopped not knowing what he was going to say. "You look familar. Have we met sometime?"

SK:No, I don't believe so. My name is Siren, the last of the SkyFire clan. And you are?

Y:I am Skytrykonis of the Silvanesti. You may call me Ykonis.

The others in the room looked and then decided to usher the two out of their room. When Ykonis and Siren were in the hallway Ykonis asked her "Are you sure we have not met?"

SK:Yes, I am quite positive. One like me rarely forgets things.

Y:Yes, you seem to be a warrior yourself. I can tell by your air of confidence and the way you walk. also by the way your gaze is able to search for weapons while being subtle.

SK:Very good, very good indeed. Are you done playing games now?

Y:I am truly sorry. I have not been with civilized people for quite some time now. It was a "game" I would do to not go crazy. I apologize if I have offended you in any way.

SK: Hahahahahahaha. Well, you truly have the mannerisms of an elf. But you have something else too. I can't quite place it. Ah, well, I am needing rest. I will see you on the morrow Ykonis.

Y:Farewell for now fair Siren.

With that said Siren walked to her room and Ykonis to his.
