The Real Folk Blues

A laughing icon, yet "so sad." Kinda contradicts itself, don't you think?

I really like the session, but the music just gets on my nerves in the credits. However, the way it is thrown into the series is awsome, I think. It really captures what's going on at that moment, and the beat is nearly perfect.

The episode is pretty sad, when...well, that would be a spoiler. ;) Of course, the session is pretty cool too. It explains a lot about the plot, and it is indeed very romantic as well.

But I stand by what I said in your other topic. Why not put this in the favorite session topic?

Again, like for Ballad of Falling Angels, i just put a laughing icon...it doesn't have anything to do with the episode.... This is a secret...shhhhhh....I cried when i saw the episode..hehehe.. lol. I'm not a crybaby or anything but i'm sensitive in soft anime or and sad episodes in Cowboy Bebop. Boo-Hoo! :(

Ok, I am a very big fan of Cowboy Bebop, but the episode was not as great as everyone thinks it is. There are some truly touching moments (it is so hard to write about this episode without spoiling anything!), but overall this is only a mediocre episode of Bebop.

Personally I enjoyed "Ballad of Fallen Angels" a lot more. Maybe the mystery surrounding Spike's past did not live up to my expectations, or maybe I just don't like Julia.

Oh yes, Ballad of Fallen Angels was much more enjoyable. Even though The Real Folk Blues had some touching moments, I thought the episode moved kind of slowly with Julia in the way, but after that I found it awsome. When Spike was infiltrating the base, I was on the edge of my seat.

Ballad of fallen Angels is by far the best episode of Cowboy Bebop. Great music and great story line, i think that Jupiter Jazz follows close behind.
now to be on topic, The real folk blues was good but it could have been better. Part 2 i think is the best of the two. The ending well not to give it away was cool.

Bleh, you all, what does Neon Genesis Evangelion have to do with Cowboy Bebop (these posts have since been deleted)? I can answer that question, AnimeGurl. There is a topic in the General Anime section that explains there will be a new channel coming to digital cable called the Anime Network. This will be made by ADV, the same company that brought you Neon Genesis Evangelion. So yes, Eva will soon be on TV.

No its not running in America to my Knollage which isnt much. But it is great so is Cowboy Bebop and has anyone here seen Cowboy Bebop Knockin on Heavens Door(i think is the name)

It's not running on American TV, but it will be. However, both this and the Cowboy Bebop movie are COMPLETELY off-topic, and I'm going to have to ask that this stops. Now. -Syk3

I got pretty choked up myself(almost to the point of tears like animegurl) when I see this episode, no matter how many times I watch it. I also disagree with shyguy that this episode is only mediocre. Ballad is one of my favorite episodes as well, and I won't say anything to knock it, but but "Real Folk Blues" part two rang with the entire series in angelic manner. Like a good song it served with rising action, fantastic climax, and conclusion that was perfectly sculpted. Also, it came as a good climax for the entire series as one, it was everything you expected but did'nt see coming, all that you wanted but loathed, "Somenone, Cry For Me With Parched Eyes". Only with a final session such as "Real Folk Blues", whether it be part one and two as a whole(which is how I in a sense believe it should be viewed), or alone, can make us carry that weight.
