G/S/B Master
I got a problem,as I want to get Lionheart in disk 1 and I have a problem.I don't know how to defend again Death magics against the Esthar soldier CYBORGS.My team levels averages in the 30~100 limit. So how do I defend against Death? Note:I can't progress any further in the game because of the Death spell. And once I defeat all of the humans the Cyborgs comes in and casts Death on everyone in my team. Flash
Cyborgs? I don't remember any Cyborgs... Esthar Soliders... What part of the game are you upto, exactly?
JCBaggee
First off, I don't think it's possible to get the Lionheart on Disc 1. I'll look into it though. As for Esthar soldiers...are you in one of the Laguna flashbacks, or are you trying to reach the Dollet Comm Tower? Once you tell me, I should be able to help, but I don't even remember a Death spell occuring on Disc 1. It may be because your level is so high. --J.C.

G/S/B Master
Let see my status... Average Team level section: 30-100 Disk 1 Just need to get Pulse Ammos and I could get LionHeart. And I'm in Laguna's Flashbacks. Anyone got a bright idea how can I defend/counter Death Spells.

Just see if you can draw some death spells from them, if you don't have any already. Try setting the Enemy to sleep. Anyway, Junction Death to Elemental/Status Defence. Works like a charm.
G/S/B Master
I don't have any death spells.By the tie I draw some Death SPells I can't Junction....does level 3 magics works? I could Blizaraga them away with Squall (right now Squall has the highest Magic Points.)
Flash
Just keep everyone on low HP levels and try to pull off a Limit Break. Remember--Limits take priority over other attacks.
Valen
Yes, and don't forget, if you have any Life spells, they work just the same as a death spell... And if you want to kill an Undead monster (Zombie) quickly, throw it a Phoenix Down... evil... Mwuhahahaha! Erm... right... anyway... You need Energy Crystals to get Pulse Ammo, and to get those, do the following: 1) Go to the Galbadia continent and find the cliffs with the forest between them. (The place where you had the second Laguna Flashback where you went to the Excavation Site of the Lunatic Pandora... or as most people know it, the place with all the soldiers. 2) Go into the forest as Squall and hug the left(?) wall and you should encounter an Enloyle, mug him using Mug from Diablos, and steal yourself a couple Energy Crystals. 3) Use the ammo refine and there you go. Enjoy. That is how I got my Pulse Ammo in disc 1... any additions, Flash?

Just make sure you have Dragon fangs and Adamantine (from one of the Brother's cards, I can't remember which). Dragon fangs are REALLY hard to come by. G/S/B Master
Dragon Fangs are from lvl 30 T-rexaurs.So it's easy actually. But it's hard to get it without the Mug ability. You could get it without Mug Ability, but you have to fight them a lot of time so... Flash
Exactly. If you don't get them from there, you'll virtually never find them ever again. :whoops:
G/S/B Master
Got another Question,I got past the Cyborgs finally. They didn't use Death spells this time(YAY!).Got past the sewers and disk 1(super YAY!)Then now the question, where's Edea's Orphanage on Disk 2?Squall calls it Edea's House. If it was rubbish and you don't remember the Orphanage,It was the one everyone grew up exept Rinoa.

JCBaggee
Oooh, pretty map! But...uh...you need to level up before going to Edea's House on Disc 2...and save...that's all I can tell you for now. --J.C.
G/S/B Master
I already got to Disk 3. And I have absolutly no idea where the white SeeD ship is! Sure Flash's Map shows it, but I can't find it.
Valen
Let me tell you this, it does NOT look like a ship at all... but it does look like a gold rock... and its not a white ship... it's the SeeDs that came to get the girl from Disc 1 in the Training Center's ship... heh, it's around the big formation crater thing in the middle... you'll have to pilot B-Garden around through a narrow channel to get to it, so good luck... and get ready to make money from Zone with "The Girl Nextdoor"... he's upstairs in the bridge... G/S/B Master
Thanks Valen,I found out 2 days ago that you have to be in the 4th Laguna dream sequence.WHich I got passed and the SeeD ship was infront of me.I have to get Edea's letter, and I gave Zone the "Girl next door" Magazine for free. And I got a rename card and a Shiva card. The Shiva card is a level 9.Refine it with Card Mod and I get 100 North winds!I could easily get 29,995 Gil.So to me it's chump change lol.Right now I'm at Esthar and in Control of Zell....SHould have made Irvine in control lol. JCBaggee
Well, now that that's done with, the games pretty easy up until the end of Disc 4...have fun. --J.C.
G/S/B Master
Actually it's not easy.Is Dr.Odine in the Lunatic Pandora lab? Or his Lab?
Valen
I believe he is in the Lunatic Pandora lab... And it's easy up until Adel... her battle wasn't the hardest, but it was the longest... until i found out how to use the Lion Heart Limit Break... then it went rather quickly... one turn... Sandy
I think the hardest thing in FF8 was gaining the items to get the new weapons and the junction-system, which got me to the verge of nervous breakdown. All too complicated for me...:( Me hate complicated... That's why I gave up in Ultimecia's Castle - I got there WAY too early. So, G/S/B, a tip for you if you may: fight a lot, and fight HARD! That's the only way to get your characters' levels up, and get them the best weapons.;)
Valen
Yes, but do not forget the FFVIII rule... The enemies level up as you do... so if the average of your levels is 100, guess what level your enemy is going to be? Yes, 100... Hrm... one thing though... where do you find Weapons Monthly First Issue in disc One/Two? Don't you get that from... wait... nevermind... I just remembered the GF ability that allows you to buy it... So nevermind...
Sandy
I think I found it on the first train the party traveled with, in the wagon they had the first Laguna-dream. But I think one can buy it later from some shop...
G/S/B Master
Thats Timber Maniacs Sage, also you could buy it with Tonberry's GF Ability Call shop.ANyone knows where I can get Pulse Ammos before I beat up Fujin and Raijin's butt the 2nd time? I need to really train at the Island Closest to Hell.I just need to make Quistis use a Blue magic:Degenerator. One more thing I need to ask: Where can I draw Meltdown from?
