Turkey
Anyone else here a modder? I decided to begin doing some minor visual alterations to my game. They are only texture changes, but I'll make some better stuff once it's possible to add player models to the game. First, here's some examples of some sweet mods I've downloaded: Ah...Nothing's better than plowing through the streets in a sports-tank... Monkeys! Canadian monkeys! Ironically, a Fed-Ex blew up in real life Illinois shortly after I took this pic. Here's my crap: Cosplay, Chupacabras (drawn by an OB member), and Link Okay, that is just not right! Ninja Burger! Eat fresh...And kill fresh... All your base, are belong to LIPS Since I love you guys so much, I'll spare you the lame joke Asian girls, and another great picture of an OB artist If the owners of the pictures want me to take them off, feel free to tell me. Break
.. I take it this is the PC version of GTAIII. Right? Anywho, they look pretty cool. Can you get any more stuff for it, like different NPC models? It would be cool to make your own..

Turkey
There are some guys working on a filter, since the game messes up custom models. I saw a few pics of the filter, and it looked sweet. (Mario jacking cars. 'Nuff said.) Few games have ever had such a strong following of talented modders, especially when it comes to cars. Rockstar North actually used a fan-program to make the VC vehicle data.
TheShinje
I remember the vehicle mods used for GTA 1, I also remember hoping like hell they would be able to make mods for playstation, alas, that will never happen, these are cool mods, to say the least. I could really have some fun with a tank sports car lol
Syk3
Yeah, I started trying to mod a GTA Vice City picture, but it was my first time, and I really havn't done a lot to it. It seems pretty interesting though, I was kind of inspired by that dude who made it look like he was on the World Trade Center when it was about to be hit by a plane. I was like, ahh, I could do that, lol.
Guest cloricus
Are you guys talking about modding the game or the pictures from the game? If you are talking about modding the game, I'm your man. We got bored at about 12 one night and two days of no sleep we were pro's... I can make you and thing for any thing you need. Yes there is a bill gates skin out, skins are very easy to load. GTA3 was designed to make it easy for modders because they modded v1 and 2 (even though it was very hard) the designers thought they should give them a break, so it is very easy to mod. -Lord EpSsy

My mistake. :bluesweat But, wow, modding game, now that sounds pretty hard. I wouldn't even want to try it, lol.
Guest cloricus
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\data\handling.cfg (Default folder for it) Open it in notepad. (Copy a copy of it somewhere else as a back up in case you screw it up. And as the original so when you've had your fun you can restore the game back to its original settings.) It explains every thing in the top part. The game reads from that file every 3 seconds, so if you change some thing then save it and then alt-tab back in to the game it will take affect quickly. That is the basic modding starting point, then you go in to the cars, then the "world environment" (change how the 3d world exist, things like gravity.) then the game it's self. But if you want to have some fun have a go at modding that file (remember backup) - trust me it is great fun, setting a car to go at 1000km/h accelerating at 250km/h and braking at 2000km/h. Having a mass of max and float value of 1. You drive down a road and every thing blows up! And after it you can say I know how to mod gta3! (REMEMBER KEEP A BACK UP OF THAT FILE SOMEWHERE ELSE ON YOUR HD!) -Lord EpSsy
