Domon
Sorry about that I thought I'd only posted up 2 and plus it was early in the morning so I was half asleep and awake. I only have 3 Shining Angel.
Guest Altron Gundam
Originally posted by Mina Ok, first I think you need more Tribute Monsters. COD and DM are good, but you'll need more. Go for more Equip cards not only for your Maha Vailo, but for your other monsters as well.
Actually two tributes is perfect. You never wanna go past 3-4 though. Replace CoD with Jinzo. You should really add more staples man...
DeathBug
Originally posted by Altron Gundam -1 Time Wizard, +1 Soul Reaper, you need tributes for Jackal Paladin, dark or not, Reaper is the ultimate staller. -2 Forgiving Maiden, +1 Kuribou, +1 Cyber Pod -1 Shining Abyss, +1 Jinzo(staple) +1 Magic Cylinder, +1 Waboku, -1 Royal Command, -1 Solemn Judgement -1 Seven Tools, -1 Jammer, +1 Imperial Order, +1 Heavy Storm -1 Lum. Spark, +1 Snatch Steal -1 Thunder Break(Rai Break), +1 Torrential Trib.
Soul Reaper would be a poor choice for this deck, because of it's strongest lvl. 4 monster, Thunder Nyan Nyan (although you probably know her by the Japanese name, Volt Girl). Soul Reaper, as a stall card, stays on the field an exceptionally long time, which would mean I couldn't play Volt Girl in that time. That would put me at a disadvantage. I've already stated my views on Kuriboh and Cyber Jar. However, in addition to keeping Royal Command, I've decided to drop the two Magicians of Faith, thus removing any dependance on flip effects. (Relying on flip effects has cost me several games, so I've decided to drop them. Besides, now RC won't backfire on me.) I'm considering replacing them with a pair of Neo the Magic Swordsman; however, I'm also going to experiment with Soul of Purity and Light. (Fiber Jar is really all that's keeping me from just adding her.) Don't have a Jinzo. (However, I'm not sure I'd call him a staple.) Heavy Storm, Magic Cylinder, Waboku, Snatch Steal, and Torrential Tribute are strong, but prevent me fron running better cards in their place. (Besides, they're quiet hard to find; I'm opptimistic in thinking I could even snag a Ring of Destruction. ^^; ) Imperial Order is very strong, and I would try to use it, but when it's in effect, my Luminous spark won't work. W/o the Lum Spark, most of my monsters loose a lot of points, and fall prey to Gemini Elfs, Goblins, and Bazoos. Lum. Spark is essential to this deck. Time Wizard is a very unreliable card; I'm aware of that. However, it's fun. I only use it when I'm loosing, anyway. BTW, what's your opinion on Soul of Purity and Light? At first I wanted to put it right in the deck, but Fiber Jar has proven to be very popular, and has made me wary of removing any monsters from play. However, I personally haven't actually played against a deck with Fiber Jar. Is it really that big a deal?
Guest Altron Gundam
Early Jinzo rush = death to your opponent. Trap negation..staple it is. Three years of experience tell me that enough to know that. --; Volt Girl is a ho..notheless good for the deck. When Kaiba Structure comes out, your deck will be DDVD fodder(Crush Card Virus fodder) thus what Soul Reaper is for. There will be times when you won't get cards you need, which is where Soul Reaper comes in. He's also a good monster to tribute. Kuribou is the ultimate savior to duelists..if you d/l Apprentice I'd be glad to demonstrate how easily and how often I can break through your defenses. Cyber Pod, beatdowns best friend. You overload your field with monsters, you suddenly have monsters to sacrifice or go out on an all-out attack. If you don't run Imperial Order you lack magic AND trap negation since you hate APS as well..your deck'll be hurting. Nice base for your deck though. Overall not bad. 6/10. It's not here yet; I'll worry about it when it gets here. Cyber Jar....if the other guy's playing beatdown, which is likely when typeless beatdown is the dominant deck type over here, 50/50 odds are that my opponent will get a better set-up than I will. Besides, I don't like Flip-effects. They have never served me well. I don't have Imperial Order....so I can't even consider running it.... Tobiass
just right off the bat not really paying attention to the rest of the deck, I'd say get rid of Gaia, Ryu-Ran, Curse of Dragon, and Preformance Sword right now. Way to keep the tribs to a low three, and somewhat of a nice staple core. Despite trying to keep an all-light theme going there are a few monsters that still remain staple in elemental aggro decks. Lets bring the tribs down to two, and add an APS. However it might be, this is an elemental beatdown in the end, and trap negation will be key, it takes a staple status here. With your opinions on Cyber Pod as they may, you are running beatdown here are you not? ^_~, or hell, if ya hate it that much, a Fiber will help. You have missed one key essential Light rusher, Blade Knight. You may be able to find it on cardhaus.com or somtin..here's da effect. VJ-05 BLADE KNIGHT Type: Effect Monster Light/Warrior/4/1600/1000 Effect: If you have 1 or fewer cards in your hand, increase this Monster's attack strength by 400. Also, if this is the only Monster you control, negate the Reverse Effects of Monsters that this one destroys during Battle. At the end of a duel or maybe against hand control, this guy is the ultimate biatch ^^. -2 X-Head Cannons, +2 Blade Knights. -1 Freed, +1 Black Forest Witch(searcher = speed), beatdown survives on speed and power. -1 Force, +1 Critter. We have to edit this deck so that it isn't DDVD fodder. Unlike the Eng game, we do have to worry bout that here. Force is for control not beatdown. Awww..screw it. These explinations are getting too confusing. I'll just type one up. Monsters() 01. Gilford the Lightning 02. Guardian Angel: St. Jeanue(check 307) 03. Android Psycho Shocker 04. Blade Knight 05. Blade Knight 06. Volt Girl 07. Volt Girl 08. Saint Magician 09. Kuribo(in teh JP game, believe me, with all those Chaos Soldier Alpha's runnin' around it will save your hide) 10. Cyber Pod 11. Black FOrest Witch 12. Dimensional Warrrior Girl 13. Magic Reflector - Reflect Bounder 14. Kaiser Seahorse 15. Kaiser Seahorse 16. Kaiser Seahorse Magic() 17. Jar of Greed 18. Angel's Gift 19. DeathBug
Actually, I did know about Blade Knight....I just forgot about him when putting the deck together. ^^;; ... For the record, I'm not too keen on any Flip-effect monsters, mostly because of all the Flip-effect negation. (Let's see....Hades, God of Hell, Heavenly Light, Royal Command, Emissary of Obliteration...) As for Cyber Jar, it still seems to me a chance card; you're hoping that you'll pull better/more monstrers and magics than your opponent. The only advantage that I see it really giving is that you know what will happen, and your opponent doesn't. That's just the way it's worked for me, anyway. All of my info came from Edo, naturally. My pix came from various sources. (I hadn't gotten to 307 yet; would have put GA:SJ there if I'd seen her effect.) I'm a bit surprised you took Mirage of Nightmare off. With 3 Cyclones plus Imperial Decree, I would have had no problem negating the penalty effect. Why would I drop Royal Decree? If it's effect is the same as Jinzo's, wouldn't I want that? I'm done with Light-decks for a while....I'm happy with what I've done with my English deck. I think I'll be completely bi-polor and develope a demon deck next. (I'll never call them Fiends if I can avoid it.)
Guest Altron Gundam
Despite your hatred of r/v effect monsters...one isn't gonna kill ya, and the effects are well worth it. The point is to get your rushers out, whether your opponent gets his monsters or w/e out isn't the point. The point of an aggro player is to annihilate, bash, and destroy XD. Anyway, if you are gonna hate on Cyber, at least add another BK or find room for a Saint Magician. XDDD

Guest NDMVirgil
Hello, I'm brand new to this board. I was hoping that you can help my earth deck. It has taken me quite far, but lately it has been having trouble against the better players in my area. Most run warrior decks and they get off one turn wins. I have been forced to try to out play and out think my opponent, which can get very tiring after 3 hours of play. Anyway, here it is: Monsters (17): Jinzo Goblin Attack Force x2 Gemini Elf x3 The Rock Spirit x2 Nimble Momonga x3 Kuriboh Spirit Reaper Sangan Witch of the Black Forest Cyber Jar Fiber Jar Magics (17): Monster Reborn Premature Burial Raigeki Dark Hole Harpie's Feather Duster Heavy Storm Pot of Greed Graceful Charity Change of Heart Snatch Steal Creature Swap Mystical Space Typhoon x2 United We Stand The Forceful Sentry Delinquent Duo Swords of Revealing Light Traps (6): Mirror Force Magic Cylinder Ring of Destruction Torrential Tribute Imperial Order Call of the Haunted Thank you to anyone who helps. Guest Altron Gundam
You've pretty much got the trap standard down, however, Waboku for Torriential. Sentry, Duo out, 2 Gaia Power in. Fiber Jar out, Scapegoat in. Creature Swap out, 1 MST in. Sealing Swords of Light out, Heavy Storm in. If its beatdown, m/t removal is key, as it is in any deck. 7.1/10. Airknight is a little dumb but seeing as how he's light attributed makes him better with Luminous Spark but also he gives you the opprotunity to draw cards once inflicting LP damage and seeing as how he's got a built in FMS you get to draw almost all the time seeing if your opponent has no monsters to protect his/her life points.
Guest Altron Gundam
Uh, I don't know what to say Domon. Umm..letsee, runnin on 50+ cards total in the deck making the ratios a little high. That's a downer, the speed of the deck is down. Holy Knight Perseus is good in trample decks, but won't do you much out here. Tributing for 1900 atk strength is pretty much outdated. Maybe if you took out two Marie's, which are dead weight, and Blue Eyes, you could run a Parshath, but if Blue Eyes stays, you don't have room to run 4+ tribs. 3 max, which includes Jinzo. If you're runnin' only English, out with Shining Angels anyway, go with two Magician of Faith. Out with the Guardian Throne Rooms, out with GSOS..nvr mind, this'll take forever. Domon
True I will agree the Maries are dead weight but, they are good for gaining lost LP I mean yes 200 LP gaining is probably the case of too little too late but in the long run I think it helps seeing as how Solomn Wishes would be bashed dead by Jinzo as soon as he hits the field which everyone's deck, including mine runs, also she works good for St. Joan but I know you think Fusions suck but I find St. Joan to be better than that of Wingweaver but that's my opinion and you have yours so that's that. As for Parshath I agree but it also helps with the card drawing, although I am thinking of losing one Marie and Forgiving Maiden and their fusion I might put in a few more hitters, the Angles when powered up correctly via Luminous Spark, United We Stand, Mage Power, etc are pretty good but why waste time on them when I got Thunder Nyan Nyan, well they are pretty good rushers for quick hits and I also am able to get some things out faster but meh. But like I stated earlier its my opinion. I've also decided to put in 2 more Wabokus seeing as how they are very helpful etc. But back onto the tributing monsters, I think having 2 monsters that require 2 monsters is a litle slow, I'd rather just have Jackal Paladin seeing as how he's so nasty with that effect of his and he's searchable with WOTBF too soooo once I get Paladin he's in BEWD is out but Maurading Captain IMO would work better for a warrior focused deck seeing as how he protects warriors. I'd also like to keep Spear Dragon as backup just in case Nyan Nyan goes bye bye and to the graveyard but SPD is a stab in the back seeing as how he goes into defense once he scores a hit but that's what the Wabokus are for. But all in all that's my opinion.
