Yu-Gi-Oh: Rate My Deck

Uhh... I would greatly appreciate it if anyone would rate my seeing as how its been up for over a month now. I've been waiting rather patiently but I feel that I have to say something, I mean I count 6 different posts after mine and none of them make any sugguestions towards my deck, sorry if I'm sounding selfish but I was hoping that someone would rate my deck.

Anyways onto my rants. Yami Asura I think you should ditch the Crab Turtle for now seeing as how the deck really isn't focused on that specific card, I'd replace the Turtle Oath with a Pot of Greed and I'd replace Crab Turtle with something much better like maybe Legendary Fisherman seeing as how when you play Legendary Ocean it docks down the level of any Water attribute monsters by one level. Anyways that is my opinion.

Marik I recomend a Trap that would possible hold a monster down. I know trap hole will destroy any monster that has 1000 attack or higher. But add something like Spell Binding Circle for example. Also you could possibly add another Harpies Brother and add a Magic card Called mountain. This will help in some ways. Any way its up to you so you decide.

You could just as easily have another Wind, Water or dragon-type monster and then replace the others needed for Crab Turtle with other usefuls. Of course, it's entirely up to you, heh.
The Crab Turtle was only placed in because my friends complained about me not having any use to the 3 A Legendary Ocean cards. That's also why I added 3 Tornado Wall cards. I really don't know.

In which case I'd take out at least one of the Legendary Ocean cards, unless you really want to use them as LP defence with Tornado Wall (seeing as ALOs are treated as 'Umi'). The only water ones you have there are 7 Colored Fish, and you can summon them without any Tributes anyway. So you might as well just switch to Umi *shrugs* Either way, I'd be tempted to reduce their number to two anyway, so you can get some more monsters in or just make your Deck a bit quicker.

shadowfire- the only snag I can see is that with Necrovalley, you won't be able to use Monster Reborn, heh. That's only one thing, though, and I don't expect it'll be that big a problem if you have a trap that negates a Field Magic card for one turn (like World Suppression) just in case.

EDIT: *reads next post* Oh yes, Suijin ^_^; I missed that. Anyway, glad to be of help.

Hey everyone. I posted my deck up here a long time ago, but at that time I hadn't gotten any cards from the three most recient Boosters yet, lol.

Well I've updated it a little bit in the last few weeks since I started playing again and I wanted to know what you thought of it, and what might be some great additions/replacements to it.

Monster (19)

Jinzo
Summon Skull x1

Yata-Garasu
Goblin Attack Force x3
Spear Dragon x1
Gearfriend the Iron Knight x1
La Jinn x2
7 Colored Fish x1
Harpie's Brother x1
Whitch of the Black
Sangan
Marauding Captian x1
Exiled Force
Cyber Jar
Sinister Serpent
Magician of Faith x1

I'm in the process of getting some more 1900 lvl4 to replace my now out dated 1800 lvl, and another Marauding Captian... for now.

Magic (16)

Monster Reborn
PreMature Burial
Dark Hole
Raigeki
Tribute to the Doomed x1
Harpie's Feather Duster
Heavy Storm
Nobleman of Extermination x3 (just until I get 3 MST)
Change of Heart
Snatch Steal
Graceful Charity
Pot of Greed
Forceful Sentry
Card Destuction (for use with Appropriate)

Mainly just trying to get 3 MST for now in that area.

Trap (7)

Mirror Force
Imperial Order
Call of the Haunted
Trap Hole
Disturbance Strategy (also for use with Appropriate)
Appropriate x2

Still need to get some better traps. I'm looking to get rid of the Trap hole for Ring of Destruction if I can get ahold of it.... or anyother trap that may do better for me for that matter.

hmm... me personally, I think you should cut the size of your deck down, and clean out all but a few of those tribute monsters. Putting more than 3 tribute monsters is difficult, and putting in more than 4 is asking for trouble. ummm... yeah, that's all I'm gonna comment on.

I hope my deck doesn't get skipped over.... again.

remove griggle and have a few stronger non-tribute monsters. get some with a strong defense or atk. two more La Jinn's and Harpie's Brother, for atk. a Maha Vailo wont go to waste as it has a good effect of extra atk points when you equip it. a witch of the black forest and sangan are always good. too mant tribute monsters are bad. have a few for strenght or an effect but that many in a duel? you'll lose before you summon any. you just started, didn't you?

First thing I noticed: you have one Monster Reborn too many; it's restricted to one. I think the same thing goes for Trap Hole; I could be wrong, but there's still too many traps in there.

Second thing: Why is Umi in a deck with not too many fish/aqua monsters?

Third thing: I noticed you have a few dragons, but why a Dragon Capture Jar? Your dragons will be useless if you keep them in defense mode.

Lastly: There doesn't seem to be a theme here. Not that sub-type decks are bad (trust me, I own one), but you have your magic cards all mixed up. Too many power ups for different kinds of monsters; when you shuffle your deck and draw your cards, they'll most likely come at the worst time for you.

My advice: Stick to a theme, just for the first few duels. As a beginner, you should have a deck with cards that compliment each other. You must have magic and trap cards that will work for ALL of your monsters, not just one. It's always a huge mistake to start with a non-themed deck, as you won't know how to use the cards in combo with each other. Choose either the dragons (minus DCJ), the fiends, or any other kind you wanna stick with. When you get more used to playing, you'll be able to come up with more ideas and more ways to have your monsters work together in harmony.

I hope this helps.

Alright I hate not playing this game so here's my little life story on why I stopped. I had the strongest deck ever. It's value in cards was about 600$ and some S.O.B. stole it. I'm going to break that kids arm for that. Anyways to get back on track, Luckly a really good friend of mine feels my sorrow and said he would build ANY deck that I want and here's the layout for it. The name of this deck will be total destruction or Oblivion.

Creatures:
Sangan: X2
Witch of the black forest: X1
Giant Soldier of stone: X3
Exodia the forbidion one: X1
Left arm of the F.O.: X1
Right arm of the F.O.: X1
Left leg of the F.O.: X1
Right leg of the F.O.: X1
Cyber Jar: X1
Morphing Jar#1: X1
Jinzo#7: X3
Penguin Solider: X3

Magic:
Monster Reborn: X1
Raigeki: X1
Swords of revealing light: X1
Axe of despair: X3
Shallow Grave: X1
Pot of greed: X1
Last will: X1
Nightmare Steel Cage: X1

Traps:
Mirror Force: X1
Jar of Greed: X2
Backup Soilder: X3
Call of the haunted: X1
Gravity Bind: X3

So what do you think?

Sorry about your old deck. Anyway, I'd like to take a stab at this deck you want. So, it's an Exodia one, eh? Exodia's always fun. :) But the only things I have to say are these:

1: Some of the cards you want have been restricted to one. They are Sangan and Jinzo. In their place, you should have more heavy defenses or attackers.

2: A deck with Jinzo in it shouldn't have as many traps; most of them are very good though. I'd take out the Gravity Binds; Jinzo would kill them anyway, and you'd have to have plenty of low-level attackers to really make this trap versatile. One trap that I do suggest if Imperial Order; great stall against your opponent's magic cards (especially the ones that would mess up your Exodia strategy).

3: Change of Heart should be added; you can never go wrong with it.

4: Why is Morphing Jar #1 here? Doesn't it make you discard your hand to the grave? Wouldn't that disrupt your Exodia strategy? I'd take it out... but that's just me.

Brolli, I love your deck. You just need A palmerization (crap I can never spell that >_<) And fusion compatible monsters. Trust me they work wonders. I know it is hard to find (I'll call them fusion cards :)) But I got mine on ebay for like 5 dollars. (Along with others cards for more money.)

Also... You need more 4 star monsters. They're always good for human/beast shields and tributes :) I sugest a Hane-Hane.

But GOD I hate you... >.> You have the right leg of Exodia!.... That's the one I need.

But yeah. Try to find one. Also... You need to buy the black skull dragon tin. It gives you the card.

Thanks for the pointers but let me point out that it isn't JINZO it's the weak 500 attack level 3 can attack life points directly. anyways the card jinzo itself isnt going to worry me cause of Ragenki one of the best cards i find. and the reason why morphing jar #1 is there it's if there are no exodia pieces in my hand and if there were thats where Backup Soldier comes in. Gravity bind is so it can protect me from level 4 or higher monsters and there isnt many strong level 3 or lower monsters other than Muka Muka even then that isn't going to bother me.

I'd like to show people the kind of deck that I've chosen to play with. It's a combination of three strategies: 1.) To search for Yata-Garasu and clear the opponent's board for its effect, 2.) To summon Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon/shuffle my deck due to Thunder Dragon's effect, 3.) for my fiends to work under Dark Ruler Ha Des. Every other card has a burning effect, to make the game move faster and to get me closer to winning. (Note: I don't have every card in this list, but it's just what I want it to look like)

Monsters (Non Tribute):

x1 Yata-Garasu
x1 Sangan
x1 Witch of The Black Forest
x1 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom
x2 Yomi Ship
x3 Amazon Archer
x3 La Jinn
x3 Whiptail Crow

Monsters (Tribute):

x1 Dark Ruler Ha Des
x3 Thunder Dragon
x1 Mystical Knight of Jackal (if not him, then Dark Dust Spirit)

Fusion Monster:

x1 Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon

Total Monsters: 20

Magic/Spell (14):

x1 Monster Reborn
x1 Change of Heart
x1 Raigeki
x1 Dark Hole
x1 Harpies Feather Duster
x1 Graceful Charity
x1 Pot of Greed
x1 Bait Doll
x2 Polymerization
x2 Scapegoat
x2 Tremendous Fire

Traps (6):

x2 Waboku
x1 Curse of Royal
x1 Magic Jammer
x1 Ring of Destruction
x1 Barrel Behind The Door

Total Cards: 40

Very nice looking deck, Snodin. ^_^ Here's what I thought:

*If you want to clear your opponent's field for Yata, then yo should probably have a few more M/T removers. I'd recommend droping a trap, a Genie and a Crow to play three Mystical Space Typhhons; those little buggers are the most useful cards in the game, IMHO.

*I'd drop the Jackal, because of the ease of getting THTD out; it's easier than summoning Jackal.

Overall, nice deck. (I really can't say much else; I've never run a burn deck before.)

It's a pretty good dragon deck, but there are just too many Tribute Monsters (Summoned Skull, Dark Magician, Giga Tech Wolf). Plus, some of those cards seem like they don't needto be played anymore, because their usefulness is just outdated. The ones I'm talking about are:

-Dragon Piper
-Wall of Illusion
-Remove Trap
-Dark Energy
-Gravedigger Goul

Other things to point out: You really shouldn't have the Labyrinth Tank fusion in there. If a dragon theme is what you want, then you should stick to it. There may be times when you'll get the Labyrinth Tank cards in your hand when you really need something else, vice versa. Also, why do you have one Attack and Recieve? 3 is more like it, since they'll do more damage in the long run. And anyway, you don't want to have too many traps, so take out a few of them (particularly Enchanted Javelin, Attack and Recieve, and Graverobbers Retribution- unless you want to add 3 Soul Release cards).

Thanks to the set Legacy of Darkness, a lot of great dragon cards came out: Spear Dragon, Cave Dragon, Dragon's Gunfire, Stamping Destruction, Wingbeat of Giant Dragon, just to name a few. I'd suggest you try getting a few of those cards to make your dragon deck even more versatile and fun to play.

I apologize about Giga Tech Wolf; it's not a Tribute monster. And as for dark decks, they're loads of fun. There's the obvious fiend theme you can go with (Dark Ruler Ha Des, Twin Headed Wolf, etc.), and you can try to make a good Gravekeeper's deck, or dark spellcaster deck... take your pick.

Right now, I'm working on constructing a Wall Shadow deck. I'll have a list of cards I think I'll need for it later. Then you guys can rate/edit it.
