Digital Monster
OK, I posted my deck somewhere on the first page, but it didn't get replied to. I made a couple of changes and I'm reposting now. As you'll see, it's a basic Yugi starter, with some Magic Ruler in it. Dark/Earth based, mostly spellcaster/fiend sub-class. I'd like some tips to possibly develop this deck, but when giving advice, bear in mind that Magic Ruler is the only booster I can currently get, apart from Yugi and Kaiba starters. Monsters 7 stars- Gaia the Fierce Knight Dark Magician 5-6 stars- Summoned Skull Doma the Angel of Silence Ansatsu 4 stars or below- Sorcerer of the Doomed Witty Phantom Man-Eater Bug Trap Master Baron of the Fiend Sword Celtic Guardian Beaver Warrior Ancient Elf Wall of Illusion Mystic Clown Battle Ox Ryu-kishin Giant Soldier of Stone Mystical Elf Magical Ghost The Stern Mystic Neo the Magic Swordsman Spear Cretin Magic/Trap Cards Remove Trap Waboku Reinforcements Sword of Dark Destruction De-Spell Axe of Despair Castle Walls Dragon Capture Jar Soul Exchange Card Destruction Last Will Dark Hole Reverse Trap Change of Heart Dian Keto the Cure Master Fissure Trap Hole Monster Reborn Book of Secret Arts Yami The Inexperienced Spy I also have the following (in no particular order): Hamburger Recipe Upstart Goblin Two-Pronged Attack Ultimate Offering Ceremonial Bell Boar Soldier High Tide Gyojin Claw Reacher Feral Imp Man-Eating Treasure Chest Silver Fang Dragon Zombie Mammoth Graveyard Weather Report Great White Chain Energy
Circ
Let's see... Swap Beaver Warrior and Celtic Guardian for Man-Eating Treasure Chest and Dragon Zombie. Replace that Inexperienced Spy with Ultimate Offering. Maybe replace Spear cretin with a better card, as it only gets interesting if you'v got 2-3 in the deck (infinite defense loop). If you can manage it, find/trade Magician of Faith and Mask of Darkness. Maybe try to find LoB (yup, LoB, Skull Red Bird is an amelioration to this deck) or MRD boosters, those have interesting commons for your deck, as well as field magic cards that could help you. Kinetic
I agree with everything Circeus just said and one more thing. Try as hard as possible to find better tribute monsters. Doma, Anatsu and Gaia are useless to me. I know it's hard to get your hands on better cards, like Sword Hunter and the Gate Guardian pieces (which I use), but keep searching. Otherwise, it's a good start. Anyway, the reason I came into this thread, was to get help, once again. I have recently acquired three gravity binds. I put them in my deck, but didn't have my extras with me the night before the tournament to have my deck revolve around gravity bind. I still did good, nonetheless, thanks to my Giant Trunade and Giant Soldier of Stones/Magician of Faith and a few other low level effect cards in my deck. Now, I have many cards at home that I can add to my deck, such as Dragon Zombie, and I'm ordering 2 Hyabusa Knights (an essential), but I'm wondering whether I should put low-level monsters like Queen's Double and Mystic Lamp that can attack life-points directly. Because, although they most likely won't be able to attack, they can still get strong monsters on the field that my low-levels won't be able to get past. That's also why I put many power-up cards in my deck *now realizes that he needs Ring of Magnetism* I also need to know how many 4-stars I should have and how many level 3 and lower cards I should have. I already have 3 tribute monsters in my deck, and those are the Gate Guardian pieces, and I'll hopefully get the Gate Guardian soon. I might add a Summoned Skull, just in case, but I just need to know the ratio of how many level 3 and lower monsters and how many 4 stars, and if I should add the Direct Damage monsters. Circ
A truely great card in a gravity bind/weenie rush deck is the Karate Man. If you manage the Karate Man/Megamorph combo, your opponent could just be in trouble. I say put only the level 4 for defensive wall and in case you don't get GB and complete with nice level 3. Yes, the direct hitter like Mystic Lamp, Jinzo #7 and Rainbow Flower (500, 450 and 400 atk respectively), but don't forget to put equip and, if you concentrate on an attribute, the right field magic card like Gaia Power or Mystic Plasma Zone. Ring of Magnetism isn't really a good card unless equipped to a 3000 def mons with a Chorus of Sanctuary in play. Don't forget Ultimate Offering-Ceasefire combo and don't fear Nobleman of Crossout-ing your opponent's face-down, because a single man-eater bug can really cripple you out. A Horn of Heaven can be handy in case your opponent play Jinzo, to send it toward his Soul Releasing.
Kinetic
Thanks for the help, and I'll look for some of those cards you mentioned. Anyway, here is my deck at the moment: Tribute Monsters: Sanga of the Thunder Suijin Kazejin Summoned Skull Level 4- monsters La Jinn x2 Wall of Illusion x2 Giant Soldier of Stone x2 Bubonic Vermin x2 Rainbow Flower x2 Dragon Zombie x2 Spear Cretin x2 Man-Eater Bug Mystic Lamp Time Wizard Magician of Faith Spirit of the Harp Harpie's Brother Hane-Hane Magics Malevolent Nuzzler x2 Fissure x2 Share the Pain x2 Giant Trunade Remove Trap Rush Recklessly Change of Heart De-Spell Shield & Sword Dark Hole Soul Exchange Curse of Fiend Horn of the Unicorn Monster Reborn Traps Gravity Bind x2 Trap Hole x2 Shift Enchanted Javelin Michizure Infinite Dismissal Waboku I added the Time Wizard because it's below 4 stars and it's not bad for monster removal. Circ
That looks nice. Try adding some more equip, specially Black Pendants and Axes of Despair, if you can get hold of some. Ditch the Gate Guardian parts, they just don't belong here, though they can be nice for dammage (I got problems once with those). You're baddly missing Ultimate Offering, though. Kinetic
I have that card, but I don't really see what I need it for. I mean, it's nice to have more monsters on the field, but is it really that important?
Hyper
Think of it this way: Would you rather have one Direct Damage attacker (Rainbow Flower for example) or have 5 (DD Attackers) of them? Try getting some Goblin Attack Forces. Although they seem to be excess, they can be very helpful.

Hyper
I'd try to concentrate your theme a lot more. Get rid of all those cards that are minorities in your decks focus. Cards such as Umi don't belogn in this deck. Try getting a few mroe Summone Skulls and to cut down on some of those useless tribute monsters like Illusionist Faceless Mage. Hyper
You've got most of the right cards, and a solid attempt. But some cards just don't belong. Try not to mix Relinquished and a Beatdown deck. Missing a few trap staples. Just try to focus eveyrhting with duplicates and such.
Digital Monster
I'm not exactly an authority Triforce, but I think the M/T card ratio is far too high. What's the point in having a lot of cards like that, when you won't have enough monsters to defend yourself with?
Hyper
An important think to have is a 1:1 ratio. Remove and replace a few cards until your traps are equa to your monsters. 20 of each helps. Magics and Traps are important, but what good are they with no monsters to protect yourself with?
DeathBug
I have a friend who totally wanted a Harpie Lady deck, so I designed this one for her. It has a Spellcaster subtype, and the majority of the monsters are female. I know this has probably been done before, but here's my take on it: Harpies Attack: 3 Harpie Lady Sisters 3 Harpie Lady 3 Harpie's Brother 1 Harpie's Pet Dragon 1 Cyber Jar 2 Magician of Faith 1 Witch of the Black Forest 3 Gemmenai Elves 3 Mystical Elf 1 Shadow of Eyes 1 Mirror Wall 1 Mirror Force 1 Seven Tools of the Bandit 1 Dust Tornadeo 1 Magic Jammer 1 Call of the Haunted 1 Change of Heart 3 Cyber Shield 3 Elegant Egotist 1 Heavey Storm 1 Monster Reborn 1 Pot of Greed 1 Raigeki 1 Rising Air Current 1 Swords Of Revealing Light Mostly self-explanatory, no? Whaddaya' think?
Domon
That's very impressive. I'd also throw in a Mountain so as to boost the pet dragon some more. Also if you really wanna keep the pet dragon safe throw in a Lord Of D. and Flute of Summoning Dragon that way you don't have to tribute for it. Is Cyber shield in english? If so then i must have it! Anyways, here's my warrior deck. i know i posted it earlier but still i would like a review. thanks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------Attack squad HIGH LEVEL MONSTERS Ushi Oni Gaia The Fierce Knight Rude Kaiser Catapult Turtle Succubus Knight x2 Buster Blader LOW LEVEL MONSTERS. DeathBug
Someone told me Cyber Shield was in English. Im' taking their word for it. As for the Pet Dragon, he gains a boost by Rising Air Current for being an Air attribute monster. I considered adding a Lord of D. briefly, but he didn't fit in with the theme of the deck. Cyber Jar actually performs the double task of getting more Harpies on the field as well as getting monsters out to tribute for the Pet Dragon. Besides, I always like to have a Cyber Jar in my deck; if things go bad, I just throw that bad boy down and see the chaos that ensues. :)
Hyper
Gemini Elf in english? Actually, Cyber Shield is not out yet. At least I don't think so. There havn't been any promo releases recently have there?

Circ
Toon Gemini Elf is tough to be in Starter Deck Pegasus. I don't know if Gemini Elf is to be in LoN.
Hyper
Yup. Thats what I was thinking. Gemini Elf should be in TP3. Which should be coming soon. I heard TP2 is coming to a close.

Hyper
Too many tributes, and not enough staples. For Tribute Monsters, try using two Barrel Dragon's and two Wingweavers, since you enjoy using high-level monsters so much. Add that Jinzo in, and your tributes should be set to go. Try focusing you magics and non-tribute monsters. Some magics and monster's don't belong. Why? Cards like Mechanical Snail lack the abilites in the common tournament metagame. See what you can do. ^_^
