Tom glanced up as he heard a rumbling. He waited until Asuko finished bandaging his head.
"Thanks, I gotta go."
Running outside, he relieved a dead German of his rifle. he also grabbed some ammo.
"OK..." he muttered to himself as he fiddled with the rifle.
"hmmm...bolt action...It'll have to work for now."
He looked round until he spotted John, who was laying down fire on some German infantry.
Just as he ran up, he saw the Tiger come around the corner.
Tom: "Holy S***!!"
John: "No kidding..."
Tom fired a shot at a over-zealous Kraut, who ducked back behind cover.
Tom: "We need a bazooka, or something."
John: "Yeah, might as well wish for a squadron of Sherman tanks..."

OOC: not a panzer, a Tiger. The american troops knew the difference.

No, Tigers are way better. Shermans could sometimes match panzers, but tigers? Example. Once a german tank collum of 10 tigers took out 51 allied armored peices with the loss of 4 tigers.:p And also, a bazooka just won't do. It has curved armor, meaning small artillery and other arms will just bounce off, if you try it, it might hit someone else :devil:

[COLOR=green]OOC: I don't know a whole lot about German tanks, but wasn't the Tiger heavier than the Panzer? (Not to mention the tiger needed more crewmen) Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Abob takes up a position on the top floor of a building, his rifle aimed through a window at the street below.

He can see Tom and John taking cover on the street corner, and a German Tiger tank advancing on them. The tank was almost impervious to small arms fire; they needed a heavy machine gun or a bazooka. Unfortunately for now grenades would have to do.

Abob noticed movement behind the tank and saw six Germans, armed with submachine guns, taking cover behind the large vehicle. Abob took aim and fired at one of the Germans, who fell to the ground dead.

The other Germans look around nervously, but can't spot their attacker. Abob lines up his scope, and fires again. Another German falls to the ground, his helmet covered in scarlet blood.

The four remaining Germans fire wildly at the surrounding buildings, and then move as close as they can to the back of the tank. Abob places another bullet in his rifle, and fires. A third German falls to the ground with blood spewing from his chest.

One of the three remaining Germans climbs up onto the tank, and knocks frantically on the cover hatch. The German tank commander, in an act of sheer stupidity, opens the hatch. Abob shoots the tank commander, and then reloads his rifle as fast as he can.

The German on the roof of the tank jumps inside the armored vehicle, and closes the cover hatch just in time. Abob is about to take out the other two Germans, when he noticed what the tank is doing.

Its cannon is rising, and in a matter of seconds will be pointed at him. Abob gets up and runs out of the room, and begins to run down the stairs. He hears a large explosion behind him and looks up to see the room he had just been in, blown to smithereens.

Abob pulls our his pistol and swings his rifle over his shoulder as he heads down the stairs?[/COLOR]

Tom looked at John, then at the gaping hole where a room had once been.
Tom:"Cover me!"
John:"You're going to do something incredibly stupid, aren't you?"
Tom:"You'll see..."
Tom snuck through some ruined buildings as John started firing rounds at German soliders.
A few minutes later he was at the side of the Tiger as it rumbled forward. Tom took careful aim and fired a shot at one of the two soldiers behind the tank. He fell to the ground, dieing. The second tried to bring his gun up, but Tom drew his pistol and shot him twice. He ran over to the tank and clambered up on it. He started banging on the hatch.
Tom:"ACHTUNG! ACHTUNG!"
As the hatch began to open, Tom pulled the pin out of one of his grenades and tossed it in.
"See you in hell, boys!":devil:
He jumped off. There was a muffled "boom" from inside the tank, and it slowly turned and crashed into a buillding.
Tom looked around and realized he was alone in the middle of the street.
Tom: "oh, shi-"
Machine gun fire ripped up the ground around him, and he dove behind a pile of rubble.

As the Tiger lay in smoke, Arkis picked off three krauts on the machine gun, then he heard another thunder. And across the corner came two half tracks and a Marder anti tank mobile gun moved threw the streets.

Arkis: THEY'RE USING CARENTAN AS A BRAKE OUT POINT SIR!

As three more panzer tanks came down the street, one fire upon fire platoon, the half tracks blazing machine guns, hitting everywindow. And the Marder barrel bearing down upon 2nd platoon. Arkis quickly loaded his last grenade onto his rifle, he could take out that marder at least. As he rounded the corner, a rifle bullet sliced threw his body, and the grenade flew harmlessly into a building, and the Panzer collum advanced.

[i]Daniel heard a familiar voice calling to him from downstairs..

[b]Must be Rev.. better get moving.[/b]

Daniel emerged from the top of the stairs to see Rev panting below, clutching his rifle.[/i]

[b]Rev:[/b] Better hurry the hell up, we got a panzer column moving forward.

[b]Daniel:[/b] Ah crap.. that's not good. Gonna have to think up somethin quick, those panzers will just tear straight through us. We....

[i]Daniel was interrupted by a massive explosion that tore through a nearby building. Daniel and Rev noticed that it was one of their grenades, and why someone had fired it so carelessly into a building that appeared to be clear.[/i]

[b]Rev:[/b] Somethings up.. Lets go.

[i]Daniel loaded his m1 and nodded. Rev took a glance out of a window with his Springfield and gave Daniel cover to begin running. Daniel began sprinting for his life, across the open middle section of the small town. Rev closely followed, as Daniel spotted the tanks bearing down on their position.[/i]

[b]Daniel:[/b] Holy Sh!t! Keep moving!

[i]The pair quickly made it into another building to take cover, where they found Arkis. He had dragged himself back in to avoid German soldiers, and was bleeding from the right side of his stomach.[/i]

[b]Rev:[/b] MEEEDIC!

Running perpendicular to the German lines, Ryan reaches jis lines at long last.

"Sorry I'm late ladies"

Ryan loads his M1 with a twenty round clip and empties it on a squad of Germans. 3 fall and don't get up.

Suddenly, a bullet comes out of nowhere and strikes him in the shoulder.

"MEDIC!!"

[i]Rev looked around frantically.[/i]

"Damnit! Where is the medic?! Daniel cover me!"

[i]Daniel nodded and stayed at the door waiting just incase a kraut came. Rev threw his bag onto the ground and started searching through it.[/i]

Daniel: "What are you doing?"

Rev: "Rule number one, always be prepared..."

Daniel: "I thought that was the boyscouts' moto.."

Rev: "Shut up!"

[i]Rev grinned as Daniel said that. Daniel laughed slightly. Rev sighed as he found the needle and thread. He then took out one of his bullets. He handed it to Arkis.[/i]

"Bite this, what I'm gonna do is gonna hurt like a *****."

[i]Arkis nodded and bit the bullet. Rev slowly threaded the needle then stuck the needle into Arkis's shoulder. Arkis winced slightly then relaxed. Rev slowly began sowing up the hole in Arkis's shoulder. As he finished he bit the end of the thread and tied it into a knot. Rev stood up and put the needle back into his pack. He then put it back onto his back. He grabbed his Springfield then went to Daniel.[/i]

"Arkis you'll be alright, gonna be sore as hell though. Daniel, good luck. I gotta get some cover fire. Here, I won't need these."

[i]Rev handed Arkis his grenades. Then nodded. Rev looked out into the battle and saw the tanks coming towards the building. He cursed then sighed. He ran out and made sure to get the tanks attention, then he began to run. He ran like hell. Bullets tore through the ground all around him.[/i]

Tom crawled backwards, looking at the marder. A pulled out his last grenade.
"Alright, let's do this..."
He pulled the pin, stoode up and hurled it. The grendae arced through the air, and landed in the marder. One of the German's tried to kick it, but it exploded.
One of the Panzers rotated it's cannon towards Tom and he ran dodging around a corner he found himself facing a German soldier, his gun raised.
Soldier: "Auf Wiederschien, Amerikaner"
Tom closed jis eyes as the German squeezed the trigger
A dry click came from the gun. He and the German stared at each other for a split second. Tom dropped his gun, drew his knife, and jumped on the soldier. Bth of their helmets fell off, and they started wrestling for control of the knife.

As Tom wrestled with the soldier he heard the sound a of a pistol being cocked then he heard a voice.

John:"hand der hoch!! Schnell!!"

The german saw the pistol pointed at his face he surrendered. John sent him off to winters with an anomoyous soldier who had been carring his ammo and machine gun while Tom had ben off kraut hunting. :cussing:

John:"every time I turn around i have to save yer a**....."

[COLOR=green]Abob reaches the ground floor of the building, and finds John and Tom outside. His eyes move from the knife on the ground to Tom's bruises.

Abob: "Got a Kraut did we now?"

Tom: "Yes sir, got him good."

John: "You mean [I]I[/I] got him good."

Tom: "Whatever."

Abob: "Sounds like an armored column is moving into town. Do you know if we have any anti-vehicle weapons?"

John: "Not anything other than grenades, if you can call them anti-vehicle weapons."

Abob: "We should get some tonight, if there is a break in the fighting. Until then we need to use grenades only on tanks and heavy vehicles. Try and take out anything light with the machine gun."

Tom: "Sure."

Abob: "Then let's move out."

The three soldiers move stealthily through the rubble towards the sounds of machinery rumbling down the stone streets of Carentan... [/COLOR]

As Abob, John, and Tom move through the streets, John suddenly signals to drop to the ground. He clears the chamber on the machine gun and than begins firing as two kraut motercycles roar around a corner. One explodes, but the other keeps going circles back around.

John: "D**n it! Gimme another belt!!!"

[i]Daniel watched Rev storm across the open area of the town, bullets skimming on the dirt, sending it everywhere. Rev dived through a door to a small house, narrowly missing the frame. Daniel made sure everything was ok before deciding to begin moving again.

[b]Time to go it alone..[/b]

Daniel plucked up the courage and began sprinting through the house to the other side, checking doorways and small rooms for German soldiers. Daniel grew more and more confident, gradually picking up his running pace, until suddenly a German voice screamed at him.[/i]

[b]Nazi Soldier:[/b] Halt! Halt! Do not move!

[i]The Nazi soldier then began barking orders in German, trying to signal with his gun what he wanted Daniel to do.[/i]

[b]Daniel:[/b] Okay okay! I'll drop the weapon!

[i]Daniel let his m1 drop to the floor, causing the soldier to look down. Daniel ripped the knife from his belt and without a second thought he thrust it into the German soldiers chest. Blood slowly oozed from the deep wound. Daniel looked at his attacker lose conciousness, and decided to continue without looking back..[/i]

[COLOR=green]Abob dives through a blown out window of the house, which he John and Tom had only thirty seconds before been walking past, and is quickly followed by his comrades.

The German motorcycle has made its full turn and comes back towards the house, the machine gunner in its sidecar pouring bullets into the brick front of the building. It goes past the house, and begins turning, preparing to come back for another pass.

John and Tom reach outside the window and grab the machine gun, then quickly set it up and wait for the motorcycle to come back into view. Abob moves across the house to another window, and aims his sniper rifle at the street corner. The Kraut cycle should be here any minute now?

Suddenly the cycle roared around the corner, its machine gun firing. Abob takes aim and fires, killing the driver with a head shot. Then the cycle explodes, as John and Tom finish it off with the machine gun.

Abob: "Nicely done. Now let's get moving."

They reload their weapons, and are about to leave the house when a squad of Germans begins to advance down the street.

Tom: "They don?t even see us. Morons?"

Abob: "I'll shoot the sergeant, and then you two can finish off the rest."

John: "We're ready when you are."

Abob walks up the stairs of the house, and into the master bedroom, which overlooks the street. He takes a look around, and spots a small window in the bathroom. He sets up his rifle, and looks through the scope at the German sergeant. The Kraut is leading his men down the street cautiously, his pistol raised.

Abob fires and the German sergeant falls to the ground, dead. The other Germans look up, and Tom and John begin firing the machine gun. Abob reloads his weapon, and takes aim?[/COLOR]

JOhn cleared the machine gun and its chattering voice filled the street. It was all over very quickly.
John"That got 'em."
He points to a house with two floors.it has a niice window that can cover most of the street.
John:Hey Abob, lets set up there!"

[i]Bullets tore through the house Rev laid in. Rev cursed under his breath.[/i]

"How the hell am I gonna get out of this!?"

[i]Pieces of brick through everywhere as bullets shreaded the house. There had to have been at least 2 tanks out there. "Why were they concentrating so much on me?!" Rev thought. Then he realized. They saw his rifle. They were trying to take the snipers out.[/i]

"Great...just great"

[i]Suddenly the bullets halted. Rev sighed. He then heard the screaching of meddle. He cursed loudly. The tanks were aiming at the building, with no just their bullets now. He had to get out. He sighed. [b]I'm going to be filled with hundreds of holes if I don't get my *** in gear.[/b] Rev thought. He crouched and walked to the door. He poked his head outside to see three tanks all aiming their guns at him. He sighed. He then got an idea. He would wait untill they fired then sprint like crazy. He was going to try and get aroudn them and shove some grenades in them. It was his best chance. There was a moment pause then the guns began cocking back. Rev didn't wait a second longer. He ran. He skidded into the first building safely. He fell to the ground as pieces of the building he was just in flew everyway. The tanks turned towards the building he was in and aimed their guns again.[/i]

"God damn won't they quit!"

[i]He took off again and began running. A glimpse of metal in a window caught his eye. As he ran he saw a Springfield rifle in the window. He had to warn them. He yelled but as he did a piece of brick flew and hit him in the head knocking him un-conciouse.

Abob scouting with his rifle saw Rev be hit with a brick. He cursed. He needed to get Rev outta there before he got killed. Rev shouted for someone to come over to him.[/i]

Tom duked into a building as the tank fired again. He heard the explosion, then he sprinted across the street, emptying his pistol into a German soldier.
He ran up some stairs and took cover. Suddenly he heard footsteps and German voices coming p the stairs.
"What did I do to deserve this?" he muttered to himself as he reloaded his pistol...

[COLOR=green]Abob jumps out of the window and runs across the street to help his friend.

As soon as he is halfway across the street, the tanks begin shifting their large gun barrels towards him, intent on killing two birds with one stone.

Abob Grabs Rev and hoists him over his shoulder. He looks around and finds that all the other buildings in the area have been destroyed and provide no cover. He can't go back to the house that John and Tom are in because then all four of them would be in danger.

The tank barrels were nearly on him, he needed to think fast. Suddenly an idea burst upon him. He ran up the street a few meters and pried open the manhole. He quickly began to climb down the ladder as a tank shell soared over his head and down the street.

He reached the bottom of the ladder and sat Rev against one of the walls, then climbed back up to close the manhole...[/COLOR]

There was a crashing noise behind tom and as he turned to look, he saw John climbing through a window, carrying the MG.
John:"Thanks fir telling me where ya were going!!"

"oh, you know me..always looking for a fight! Now set up the MG, the Krauts are coming up!!!"

[Boba Fett]

[COLOR=green]Abob is halfway up the ladder when he hears the sound of footsteps approaching the manhole.

He quickly lets go of the ladder and falls three meters to the stone floor of the sewer, landing catlike so as not to make any noise. Then he walks over to Lalaith and pours what little water he has left in his canteen over his friends head.

Lalaith's eyes open and his hand searches for his weapon.

Lalaith: "What's going on? Wher-"

Abob: "Shhh, I dragged you into the sewers and the Krauts are coming. Take my rifle. Can you walk?"

Lalaith: "I'm fine, only a nasty headache."

Abob: "Good, go to the end of this pipe, and then take cover at the corner. I'll set up a grenade here so that when the Krauts come down the ladder, you shoot the pin."

Lalaith: "Ok."

Lalaith runs off to the end of the filthy pipe and Abob places the grenade, just as the manhole cover lifts.

Kraut: "Com uut Amrican! We vill keel yuu ef yu stay!"

Abob begins to run, and the Germans begin to pour machine gun fire down the manhole. One bullet hits Abob in the left leg, but he keeps running, ignoring the head-splitting pain.

Then there is a huge explosion as one of the German bullets hits the grenade pin and kills the Krauts.

Lalaith: "Abob, are you alright?"

John cocks the MG and fires into the wall where the Krauts ae coming up. There some screams and some thunps.

Tom glances out the window and sees ome german fring down into a sewer."hey wing the gn aound!!"
john swings it roun and puts it on the window sill. They fire.

John squeezed the trigger and mowed down the Kraut firing into the sewer. He watches, relieved, as Abob climbs out and waves his rifle.
John:phew. they're okay.
