Marron347
yeah,i've read it. I thought it was great too. really funny. but for some reason everyone i know thinks it sucks.
Shampoo
I thorough enjoy Ranma 1/2 *Obviously* and Shampoo is my favorite character. I haven't read much of the manga but the anime is great. Even dubbed, Shampoo has the cutest voice. My favorite guy character is definately Ryoga. He's just so cute and innocent and he always gets the tough breaks. But I love him anyway! :excited:
amiboshi
I liked the series up to volume 5 in the manga... I think the series is really funny, but it was becoming a bit too repetitive for me... It was just getting a little old.
Semjaza
If you get far enough, Ranma 1/2 isn't remotely repetitive. A lot of things happen, and the relationships between the characters were always really well done I thought. It's my favorite series in anime and manga. Shampoo is also my favorite character (finally someone agrees! lol).
amibasuki
yeah, I've heard that it gets really good as the story draws to a close, but I'd have to read pretty far for that. I've got the same gripe as amiboshi, I've probably read about 10-15 volumes altogether, but it's the same thing over and over. about what volume does it start getting interesting? my favorite characters are Ryoga and Mousse. Mousse trips me out. I feel pretty bad for him though, he just needs to quit obsessing about Shampoo, lol. though if somehow in a blue moon Shampoo liked him all of a sudden, that wouldn't be too bad of a thing either. as for Ryoga, he's such a sweetie, I could just eat him . if I wasn't a Ranma+Akane fan, I would think Ryoga should have gotten Akane, poor guy. man, talkin' about Ranma 1/2's bringing back some memories. I know some ppl who are absolutely fanatical (or were, not sure which now) about the series. funny thing is that I'm the one that introduced 'em to it :bluesweat . I kinda regret it actually, lol. anywho, Ranma's a pretty good series if you take out the repetition factor. fun to draw, too ^_^.
Semjaza
I honestly find most anime series to be repetitive, and while it is true that the same sort of situations happen again and again... the characters kind of change their reactions. I just really like the characters and the really bizarre things that go on. It's just very enjoyable to watch or read. I guess some people will never like it as much as others lol. I personally don't think anything else compares to it, it is by far my favorite :).
amidamaru
Ranma 1/2 is ok. I like the story, but I hate Akane's guts. And my personal fave is Ranma-chan, she's such a cute little thing xD For guys, I think I like Mousse, because he's a dork. A dork in a good way. And he loves Shampoo xD
Syk3
Ranma 1/2 is great. It's absolutely halarious, and for that, it's gets my vote for the top of the list on comedy animes. I started watching it in anime club, and was soon begging for it every week, haha. My favorite character is probably...girl Ranma? I dunno, she's just pretty funny. ;)
Dragon Fou Lu
I haven't seen any of the anime but i've got 6 volumes of the manga so i usually have to read Ranma 1/2 instead of watching it. my favourite character is probably Male Ranma. :)
XxmagentaxX
Ranma is great... I love rumiko's work. I just wish that the anime had ended the same way that the manga did
Shampoo
Well, I don't think it's repetitive at all. Each part of the story is different, it just so happens that sometimes the cirumstances are all the same. Let's see you come up with that many different series and not start seeing similarities here and there. And Amen to the other Shampoo fan. Right ON.
Semjaza
Everything about Shampoo kis great :). I tried showing someone Ranma 1/2 (ex girlfriend, friends now) and she didn't know what the hell was going on... She also thought Shampoo sounded hilarious. Oh well haha. I did an image of her a while back, I don't think otakuartist ever bothered posting it. It was one of the first things I made in Illustrator, so it's based of another image... Not entirely my own work :D.

Happosai (need I say more?) yeah, some details are changed in each scenario, but it's basically the same thing. granted, they do throw bits here and there where the story strays from the usual thing, like in the beginning and end of the series. but it'd be better if there were maybe at most only 20 volumes of the manga instead of 35-37 (I haven't seen a lot of the anime, so I can't say much concerning that). the whole Ranma series really didn't have to be that long. it's not nearly as funny when Happosai's stirred up Ranma for the 50th time. EDIT: btw, great picture of Shampoo, Semjaza ^_^. I remember seeing it on the Boards a while ago, and thought it was pretty nifty.

Impact Player
It's been a long time since I've watched Ranma 1/2. Last time I remebered watching Ranma was when I was 8, I think. I use to love triangle between Ranma, Akane, and Ryoga(I think). Plus I remember I rented the game Ranma 1/2 on Super Nintendo, ah the memory's.:)
Genkai
Like, EVERY person who likes anime up in this area LOVE Ranma 1/2 and any other Takahashi books.. It's really expensive though. I like it, but Rumiko Takahashi's idea of a good time is drawing nude femal characters.. Oh well, I'm down with that, lol.
Semjaza
Strange to hear that... Most of the time I mention Ranma 1/2 I get a blank look from most people. Even online there doesn't seem to be as much of a fanbase for it compared to other anime I'd personally not watch. Oh well.
spike speigel
I think it's hilarious. I've only read the manga, not much either. In fact, I've only read the first volume, but it was really funny. I loved it.
