Anime Was General hitting on that little kid?

I only get to see the edited version of dbz so i want to know if General Blue was hitting on that little kid in Penguin Village.

Yes, sadly enough he was. In the CN version the kid comes to help him fix his car and Blue says it looks like his lost little brother and gets upset when the kid runs away. In the subbed version the kid comes over to help fix the car and Blue says he's just his type. When the kid finishes fixing the car Blue asks him if he wants to go get something to eat when the boy declines he asks if he can buy him a pretty outfit instead. When the boy declines again and says he has deliveries to make then runs off Blue gets mad and says he had short legs anyways.

They're talking about General Blue from the Red Ribbon Army in Dragon Ball. He's the one that has psychic powers and can paralyze people with his mind.

Come on, it was obvious in the dub. The way blue looked at him with the pretty pink luvy backround made it obvious he was a pedaphile (sp?). I've seen other scenes that look like that and they try to cover it up with new lines. Like in that one Tenchi epp where they travel through those made up worlds and in the world with Pretty Sammy, Ryoko and Aeyaka are acting like lovers while the change the lines to make it look like their "friends".

i never saw the subbed version, but i could tell they changed something there. from the first time i saw general blue, i knew he was going to pull something gay.

If you think that you should have seen where he first ran into Krillin and Bulma in the underwater treasure cave. Bulma starts saying he's the man of her dreams when he surprises them then grabs onto his arm and starts licking it up and down. Blue freaks out and tells her to get off because there's nothing he hates more than girls than gets upset when Krillin calls him gay.

:( I want to say this in a way that I won't offend anyone unintentionally, but yes General Blue in the Japanese version is in fact a homosexual I hope that's the right term. They sort of toned it down in the English dub...but it's still present somewhat with the whole Bulma situation.

Yeah, like Rick said, Blue Shogun(General Blue)was definetly a homosexual, and I guess you could consider him a child molester(sp?)aswell. Now if you saw Blue Shogun in that one DB movie(the one where the pretty much put that entire saga into one movie, but changed it around a little bit)then you'd probably think that he wasnt. But all through the Red Ribbon saga, there were many things that made you believe that he was a homosexual. Mainly at one point when Bulma was turned on by him, and he was like...well, scared. And any other man, if they were to see Bulma like that(with what she had on), oh, they'd get with her. :D So when you saw that right there, you just KNEW that Blue Shogun was a homosexual(...man, when I think about it, doesnt "homosexual" sound a bit worse than "gay"? I'm tryin not to offend anyone IF there is someone like that around here. I doubt there is, but just incase.)

But back to the main subject at hand, yes, in the Japanese version, Blue Shogun was trying to hit on that little boy. And due to all of the stuff that went on around here(like with Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, and other stuff going on involving child molesters), they edited it so it wouldnt look like it, that way the feel that no one would get any ideas. :twitch: Veeeery disturbing.

I doubt it. If he did know he was a homosexual though, he probably over looked it due to his strength and his special ability to paralyze people. When it comes to havin a strong army and what not, you have to put your differences of ANY type aside in order to take over the world. Atleast, thats what I think anyway. :huh:
