What started Otaku boards? and where did the idea come from?

[color=royalblue]Erm, basically it was started a while ago...it was a page within theOtaku.com (theOtaku.com/forums). And when it moved to v2, it became OtakuBoards.com. OB has been here ever since in one form or another.

Adam started theOtaku.com and OB. So that's probably the most basic overview. I'm sure others will want to fill you in moreso. :)[/color]

He evidently had a site already running, and like most webmasters, for any sucsessfull site, you will always want some sort of indirect community...may it be a chatroom (which they have), or message boards....it was probably an initial idea to augment his wonderous Anime based site.
