Guest Anakin Solo
Anyone here like Timothy Zahn? He is the author of The Thrawn Tilogy and the Hand of Thrawn Duology, and many short Star Wars stories. He is also the author of the Conquerors Trilogy and some other books that I am to lazy to think of. :D. I loved his Star Wars books. Right now I am reading his COnquerors Trilogy, and the first chapter of the first book, already has me loving it. :D So what ya'll think of him? I think he is a great author. Guest Anakin Solo
Easy way to find out is go to www.bn.com But being the nice guy that I am, ;) I've decided to copy and paste what its about for you. :D From the Publisher: "Scientists on the planet Seraph within the "lost" independent human colonies of the Empyrean have encountered "angels" mysteriously emitted by a black hole. These angels hold the ability to render people within close proximity reasonable, calm, and virtually incapable of lying. The Empyrean has harnessed their power, distributing them to all members of their government, in an attempt to promulgate peace among their people." But the leaders of the Earth-based Empire, the Pax, view the angels as an extreme danger to mankind. Amid rumors that the angels are the linchpin of an alien plot to subvert humanity, the Pax dispatch an innocent academic, Jereko Kostas, on a reconnaissance mission to uncover the truth about the angels. Jereko, along with Chandris, a young woman who has spent her life as a petty thief and a grifter, signs on with an "angel-hunting" ship to investigate. When they uncover disturbing facts about the angels and their source, Angelmass, tension between the Empyrean and the Pax builds, and their discoveries set the stage for a major confrontation between the Pax and the stubbornly independent inhabitants of the Empyrean. His three books of the Thrawn Trilogy were the sparks that rekindled the interest in Star Wars after the first three movies. Those three books are some of my all time favorites, and I urge you to read them, or any of Zhan's books. -Boba Fett
Desbreko
I've read the Star Wars books that he's written (Heir to the Empire was the first Star Wars book I ever read), and all of them have been very good. I haven't read any of his other books, but the three books in the Thrawn Trilogy are still some of my favorite Star Wars books.
Guest Anakin Solo
Hey Boba, have you read his Conquerors Trilogy? I mean, with the first chapter of Conquerors Pride, I knew I was going to love it. And right now I got to about chapter 10, and it is awesome. If you havent read them, I suggest you go and read, if the rest of the book and books as good as the first few chapters of the first book, Im sure you will like them. Guest Anakin Solo
Short? Well, I think we have different opinions on the length of books. I think they are decent sized books, short in my opinion is like 200 pages or anything below that. Which trilogy are you reading? The Conquerors Saga? or the Thrawn Trilogy?
