In a deep dark cave that was placed in the hills of a far away land lived a small boy. But this boy was actualy the lost prince who had run away almost 3 years ago. The high life wasent for him so he left. He started calling himself...Slayer. He did many good deeds for the village below. But deep with in this cave he found a small tomb of some sort. Not knowing what was inside the boys curiosity grew. He coulddent read the writing on the stone top but wasent to worried. Unfortunatly as he slid the dark..cold stone off the top a dark flash of light erupts from the box and slayer was knocked unconcious from the blast. There standing in the shadows...Was the long forggoten Lord Rochin who was sent into the tome by a magic curse. The writing on the box explained of the contents and warned about opening it. For the one inside...was evil. His intentions evil. When slayer awoke he relized what he had done. His father used to tell him storys about that very thing but he never thought the storys were true. So slayer headed off to find some people from the village who could help cause they were all in big trouble. Now off in a mantion high in the mountins Lord Rochin paces on an old dirty rug his black long cape dragging alone in the dust covered floor. He was thinking of what he could do to become all powerfull and rule the land. Then his dark yellow eyes opened and he grined and grin that would scare of the fircest dragon as he finaly figured out his plan.

LR: Mythical creatures... if my army that i just awoke could capture all of them the land will sure to bow down to me. Znid!

Znid: yes my lord?

Lr: Gather some trops and head out to get the Mythical creatures of the land and enslave them or throw them in the dungeouns just get them.

Znid: Uh yes my lord... but what kind my lord?

LR: dragons... gryphons.... those marphing hawks....unicorns.. you get the idea. ALL OF THEM

Znid: Ok sir...yes sir *the elf bowed and ran off to gather some troops*

~ BACK IN THE VILLAGE ~

Slayer: Uhh village council leader...could i ask for your help.

CL: Sure brave one what might the trouble be?

Slayer:.. i accidently awoke Lord Rochin....

CL: WHO?

Elder from afar: An evil man... once beaten he was banished to a tomb for all times.... writing on that tomb warns all about the contents and its dangers...hes an evil man... if what you said was true.... we are ALL in a lot more trouble then you can think of... his magic is dark purely evil ... and strong at that. Councile leader... i say we should gather some of the people here and partner them up with The Sacreds... and send them off to gather information and help us figure out a way to stop this mad man.

CL: Well ok... i think thats for the good of the village too so Guard...go *the guard runs off*

Slayer: Who are The Sacreds?

Elder2: Uhh They are a band of magical powerfull sacred animals.. One being a dragon another is a wolf of great strength i think the hawk is still with them... he power is great..her speed of flight untouchable and not to mention her morphing skills. Haveing the power to change...into anything her heart desires. The are more i think...i jsut cant remember them all.

Slayer: Oh

and so began the gathering....of the brave souls who could partner up with The sacreds and just might...help save..the land

"Get outta here, you useless rat!" A scrawny man flew through the window in a windy desert town. Sand blew down the streets in small dust-devils, scouring any unprotected eyes. A young man watched the reject pick himself and scurry off into another bar, a look of disgust on his face.
"I hate this town." he murmured, unclipping his quaterstaff from his back. He guessed he'd need to reach it in a hurry. Slamming open the doors, he went inside.
The once raucus jeering and chanting of the drinkers was shattered immediately. The silence was broken only by the slow creak of a rocking chair. He strode up to the bar and sat on a stool. Slowly, the bar relaxed again, and the noise began to ebb back.
"A shot of whatever doesn't dry your throat." he growled, flicking a piece of dust from his shoulder armour. The barman slammed a shot of milk in front of him and sneered.
"Fine." the man sighed, gulping it down.
Tumbleweeds bounced around outside. One of them stopped up against a piece of wood. From behind it, a heavily armoured foot came crashing down on it, its owner intently watching the man at the bar. He drew out a long metal whip and stomped towards the building...

A small hawk flew gallantly threw the cool night air. The gentle updraft was coasting her along the stars. The moon light shined on her wings illuminating them with such radiance that such a sight of beauty and peace shall never be seen again. She aimed her sight down at a small object below in the woods. She opened her wings wide, looped backwards, and plummeted down towards the object. The object began to grow as she grew closer to the earth. Soon it was clear that the object was a man. She pulled up, circled around the man and landed on his shoulder.
"What news do you bring, Coeus?"

Coeus: Well.... the village at the base of the mountain is in great need of help... i told the dragon....of course.... and The sacreds are willing to help. Of course before i told the dragon he had to spit me out... the only way i stoped myself from getting eaten was to go to my FULL size...

Man: Haha... well.. then to the village i guess

Coeus: Fine but i shall go as your horse.... you shall get there quicker and ill be hidden...

The ahwks feathers ruffles and they turned pure white and changed into hair.... it looked like a hairy bird now but then it grew and her head stretchd and grew in size... he wings molded into legs and it slowly turned into a horse....she lifted her head and shook her mane and then let the man get on her back. She took off

The bar fell silent. A bulky man slammed open the doors and signalled for everyone to leave. Silently, they slinked away, except for the man sitting at the bar in his silver and black armour.
"We don't like your kind here." the bulky man snarled.
The armoured man glared out at him from under his helmet, his silver eyes filled with menace.
"I guess I'll leave, then." Slowly, almost leisurely, he stood up and started to walk out. Suddenly, a loud crack pirced the air and the whip wrapped around the man's neck.
"Not before you gte rid o' that armour o' yours. I reckon it'd fetch a high price at any trade fair..." the muscular bandit grinned. The young warrior drew back his fist and slammed it into the man's face, sending a shower of red over the floor. The man fell backwards out of the window, having let go of the whip. Smashing through the glass, he landed with a sickening crack on the deck below. Groaning with pain, he opened his eyes to meet the sharp metal of a bladed quaterstaff at his throat.
"Where's the nearest City from here?" the nam snapped.
"East. Through the forest by the Black mountains." he croaked, barely able to breathe.
The man looked around. "Is that your horse?" he asked, pointing over to a large Shire horse drinking at a trough. The injured man nodded.
"Not any more." The warrior snarled, walking over to it. Painfully, the man he left on the decking raised an arm. All around him, he heard the clicks and chinks of metal swords being drawn. Appearing from every corner were nasty-looking bandits, each with a malicious glint in his eye.
"You've got a mighty high price on your head, fugitive," one of them leered at him. The others laughed. "The Commander of Alteas wants you bad, and he's goin' pay us good for caputring you, dead or alive. Which would you prefer?" The swords around him all rose up. There were eight of them. Whirling his quaterstaff round in the air and pointing it at the leader, he gave them a defiant look.
"Dead, then..." the bandit sneered.

The bandit didn't even see him move. Suddenly, he was on the floor, a great pain in his head. He heard angry ahouts and the sound of metal against metal.
Someone let out a pained scream and fell to the floor beside him, not miving. He looked up to see the warrior fighting the last two of the eight bandits. One was through a window, three had run off, and the rest were on the floor. With a swift movement of the staff, the warrior whirled it round, knocking the sword clean from the second bandit's hand. he backed away into a wall and sprinted off, leaving the last one alone. Shaking, he threw his sword to the floor and ran off, wanting to keep his life.
"Idiots." the warrior spat as he strode over to the horse. Just as he saddled up, he heard a voice behind him.
"Impressive. But you didn't need to do that."
Not bothering to turn round, he made a noise of disgust. "What's it to you how I fight my battles? Leave me alone." he growled.
"How long do you think violence will last you? What happens when you come up against someone stronger than you?" the voice said.
Angry, the warrior drew his staff and whirled round. "Listen, you..."

The man chuckled. "Very well then. Let us journey on."
The two continued to travel through the village.
"Mmmm, the local tavern. I am in need of a drink." The man scratched his chin and he and Rodney entered the bar.
What can I get you the bar tender asked as they aproached him.
"I will take a pint, and the lady," The man looked at Rodney. "and the lady will have a glass of red wine."
The couple sat at a table with their drinks.
"Hey!" A huge man picked Rodney's partner up by his collar.
"Excuse me." The man said to Rodney. "May I help you sir?"
The man punched Rodney's partner. He licked his lip and tasted blood.
"You seem to have drawn first blood, very good." The man reached back and smashed his fist into the other man sending him over a table.
"Come on Rodney, let's leave this place. We have somewhere we need to be." The man walked out the tavern door.
"And that's why you never get into a fight with my Artemis." Rodney said gleefully as she walked out the door.

Coeus galloped along the country side in her majestic white haired horse form with Artemis mounted gallantly on her back.
"Stop, Coues." Artemis said abruptly. He pulled out his cross bow and shot a single arrow at a bush.
Znid popped out of the bush.
"What is your purpose here Elf?" Artemis boomed angerly.
"I am here for that." Znid pointed at Coeus.
Artemis Demounted and pulled his sword out.
"You shall not touch her."

There was no-one there. Confused, the warrior turned back to his horse.
"Excuse me? That's rude," the voice said again. The warrior turned back round. Nothing. Suddenly, he noticed something black down by hie feet. It was a large, scaled creature. He jumped back in alarm.
"What are you?"
"I think you mean 'Who are you?'. I'm Rhike."
"I meant what I said- what are you? Animals shouldn't be able to speak." The warrior stepped back slightly, moving his staff into an offensive position.
"Look, I shouldn't be here. The others don't know. But I've been looking for you." Rhike explained.
"Let me guess, talking Rhike wants the bounty too, right? Don't flatter yourself. You wouldn't last a minute up against me." he sneered, looming over the pangolin. Rhike glared back at him angrily.
Suddenly, the warrior shook violently for a few seconds, then dropped to the ground. Looking around, Rhike dragged him into an alleyway.
The warrior groaned. "Alright... what do you want with me?"
"We have to find the others." he whispered.
"Others? There are more of you?" the warrior sighed exasperatedly. Rhike nodded.
"Great. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, I get dragged into some stupid scheme with a talking pin cushion." the man growled, moving the staff into a holster on his back.
Rhike coughed angrily. "I don't appreciate that. I've come a long way to find you, and I'm not going to put up with comments like that. This is important. I'll explain more when we find the others."
All of a sudden, they heard a series of roars and yells from another street. Rhike looked over in the direction of an opposite side-alley and ran off, the warrior close behind him.

Artemis picked his sword up. "You fight we Elf, but you will not win this battle." Artemis closed his eyes and bowed his head. He looked up and smirked. "Now, prepare to have your *** handed to you."
Artemis charged Znid. The elf pulled back his sword ready to swing at Artemis. But Coeus got to Znid first. She lept into the air slashing and growling. Znid didn't have much time to react, Coeus knocked his sword down and began to tear him up. He fell on the ground, grabbed his sword at hit Coeus in the ribs with the handle. Coeus roared and fell off. Znid stood up to get hit broad sided in the face by Artemis's sword.

no one noticed the small gash like slash wound on the tigers body.... she quickly changed back to the hawk but she forgot...the wounds still stay there so now she had a problem..where the slash was on the tiger form..happned to be on one of her hawk wings...she couldent fly... She grummbled to herself and walked over to a tree

Artemis drew back his sword once again and finaly struck znid to the ground

Znid: You...... will.......never......beat.....Lord Ro......chin..but...a secret lies at the foot of Deadly Forest...look for the purple stone

suddenly znids eyes closed and he fell limp

If artemis's sword didnt cause the finishing blow the huge claw gash acros znids spine would have killed him....

the hawk slowly taped on artemis's leg with her beak...he noticed the wound and picked her up

Artemis: I guess im walking...what about the human form

Coeus: The gash would be haflway down her arm...it would look a little odd to the normal people who live here....a hurt hawk is another story....so ill stay like this and hardly talk....hopefully znid was telling the truth about deadly forest....AND the purple stone...it might help

Rhike sped round the corner to see a man holding an injured hawk in his arms. The warrior skidded to a halt behind him and got ready to draw his staff. Rhike looked at the dead bleeding body on the floor.
"Artemis! You killed him!" Rhike yelled, horrified.
"And you grill me about using violence..." the warrior sighed.
"Rhike!" Artemis was shocked. "You're supposed to ba back at the cave. What if someone sees you? And what's he doing here?" he pointed straight at the warrior, who glared back.
"Listen, bub, I don't want to be here either. This 'Rhike' dragged me along. Tell mke what you want and then I'll leave." the warrior growled, putting his staff back.
Rhike crawled over to Artemis, who was scowling at him angrily. "Please, Artemis, he's my partner."
"Partner?" Coeus spluttered.
"Look, I had to find him sooner or later. He's a good warrior." Rhike whispered urgently.
"A partner's supposed to be true of heart. Can we trust him? He looks like a mercenary bandit." Artemis hissed.
"Oh, and you don't, standing in front of a dead body?"
Artemis sighed frustratedly. "Fine, but he's your responsibility."
He walked over to the warrior and held out his hand. "Artemis." he said bluntly.
"Tyrius." the warrior answered back. "What happened to your bird?"
"She took a hit from a sword. Now come on, we shouldn't be out here. Rhike, get underground."
"A sword? She should be dead."
Artemis paused. "How did you know she was female?"
Tyrius thought for a moment. How did he know? It just seemed... right. She looked like a she.
"What does it matter?" he spat.
Artemis sighed. Why couldn't Rhike have chosen someone who he could at least have a friendly conversation with. Even Znid was more co-operative. "It doesn't. Let's go."

Spade looked down the cliff side. It was a little drafty up here. After all, he thought, I am looking down at a 100 foot chasim, in a small cramped cave that smells like bird dung. When will Jade be here? I'll BBQ his sacred *** for him. Here he comes. A giant golden grace allighted upon the mountainside cave, a tablet in claw. He dropped it at his feet. Spade moved over and read it, and immidiatly knew what it was. So there was a purpose in bringing me here... thought Spade. So the world's going to hell and I'm driving the bus again... He grabbed his quiver and bow and climbed on the back of Jade. Almost instantly the giant Jade Falcon took flight and plumeted down the chasim, gaining tremendous speed. It pulled up over the narrow valley, and rocketed into the sky, with it's signature screech echoing in the valley.
Jade: Where to next, now that we know that the greatest evil of our time has just been unleashed?
Spade: The nearest town. I don't care if we go to flea-riddnen free port agian, we have to warn the people.
Jade: Hang on...
And Jade dove agian.

"Wait, what do you mean, you were a tig-" Tyrius looked down to Rhike, who smiled knowingly. "Right. You're some kind of weird shape-changing hawk, then."
Coeus sighed and nodded.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to tag along for a little while, just to keep you out of trouble." he sighed, still looking at Rhike, who was very close to hitting him with his tail. "I'll just get my horse." Tyrius ran off back down the side alley to where the Shire horse was drinking patiently. He untied it, leapt into the saddle and rode down to where Artemis and Coeus were waiting. Rhike looked at him expectantly.
"What?"
Rhike coughed and gestured to the horse. He wasn't tall enough to get up.
"Oh, yeah. I told him I'd take it." Tyrius smiled slyly, whipping the reins. As the horses slowly started trotting back out of the outskirts, Rhike started to wonder whether he'd made a mistake...

Spade: Outskirts of town, right. So what do we do now?
Jade: Well, I suppose we better find the Town Center, and make an offical announcement from there. You can show them the inscription from the tomb I found and...
Spade: Make them think we did it?...Right...Great idea, let's get stoned to death.
Jade: Would you rather them learn first hand and let Lord Rochin sack and raze their town?
Spade: Your right. *Sigh. Guess I got a monolouge to work on.
Jade: It sure looks that way.

Jade's enourmous goldish green feathers wilted and fell to the ground, catching fire when they touched the earth. His body began to shrink, making faint yet disturbing crunching noises as he went. In his place was found a young man, about 6 foot tall, platnum blonde hair, and dressed in green and white. An almost perfect replica of Spade himself, they walked off toward the city, the tablet under a white sheet caried under arm by Jade.

Jade: I suppose we pass as twins again, right?
Spade: No, we're casual aquatintances.
Said spade, looking over into the sleek yellow eyes, it was like looking himself in the mirror. The crossed through a farm and over a small bridge into the bustling midday metropolis. There were merchants everywhere, selling bread, swords, roses, candies, novelty items, pottery, you name it. It was hard to attract attention as everyone was too busy to listen or too busy tring to make them buy their wares.
Jade: This will never work.
Spade: We have to find the town center, we'll find the council leader and tell him what's happened.
After a series of misfortunes between getting caught by a gaurd for crossing the street the wrong way and almost getting squashed by a drunk being thrown out of a bar and just plain getting lost, they finally found the town center. The council leader, one could tell by his robes, was pacing around with a little boy next to him.
Spade: Um, excuse me sir, we need to talk to you.
CL: Is it important? I have many troubles on my mind. I havn't seen you guys around before, might I...
Jade: No, this is much more important than the pleasanties here, council leader.
The man gave a gruff look to Jade as if he was extreemly either embarassed or confused. Spade spoke quickly,
Spade: Sir, it's about Lord Rochin. Do you know anything about...
Suddenly, he found himself stopping in mid sentance, glareing. Jade was doing the same, at the little boy who had just gone pale and shivering, as if he had never seen the light of day.
Jade: Why does he shiver so...?
CL: That, is slayer. The, erm, one who opened his tomb.
The little boy began shaking more violently.
Spade: You... You all here already know...?
CL: Yes, I sent my gaurd out searching for the sacreds to assist us in defeating Lord Rochin.
Jade: The Sacreds? The mythical creatures that can shapeshift?
CL: Those are the only sacreds I know of.
Spade: Interesting... Sir, which way is it to the nearest town?
CL: Um, go east, through the dark wood and by the mountains. Why? Why are you leaving so hastily?
Jade: Can't talk right now, we gotta fly.
Spade and Jade ran through the narrow country roads till they were behind a hill to mask the transformation. In another deafaning sceech, the Jade Falcon rose up to the sky again, Spade on his back. Gaining tremendous speed, it dived toward the ground, pulling up a few inches from the tree line and into the sky again. Jade seemed to have grasped something during the dive. A small bird was barly visible in the talons of the Falcon.
Spade: Sheesh, you always eat and run.
Jade: Are we a bit hungry?
Spade: No, we need to get to the town.
Jade: You want to hunt, don't you?
Spade: Take us to the town, we eat there.
Jade: Okay, okay...
And the falcon rose into the sky, perfectly shielded by the sun. Up and over the next rise, the town came into view.

A few minutes later, Tyrius looked back at Rhike and slowed his horse. When he caught up, he grabbed the pangolin's tail and swung him up behind him.
"Thanks." Rhike said quietly, his black scales baking him in the sun.
"I wouldn't be that cruel. Have a drink." Tyrius handed him a full sack of water hung from the horse's saddle. Rhike took a grateful swig and handed it back.
"So why's this place called the 'deadly forest', then? It doesn't seem like a nice place."
"It isn't." Artemis said simply. "Lord Rochin's forces inhabit that area, but we need to find the purple stone."
"You actually believe that guy? It's probably just some wild goose chase to get you into his master's reach." Tyrius scoffed, adjusting his hair.
"Wild goose chase or not, we can't afford to miss the chance. And besides, what could he gain by lying? He was almost dead anyway."
"You'd be surprised how much some people are prepared to do for loyalty..." Tyrius said quietly.

Coeus: The deadly forest was named the deadly forest back in the Relic Ages..... when it was discovered that the trees secreet a poisonus Gas... once inhealed enough of it....you slowly get sick...... there is an antidote....but in the wildflowers on the other side... its been said not many make it all the way through to save themselves..

"Sounds like fun..." Tyrius scowled at the sun bearing down on them. Rhike shuffled about uncomfortably on the edge of the saddle. "So what's this stone for, anyway?"
"Lord Rochin has been re-awakened. We need to find some way of sealing him away again." Artemis explained, undoing the lid from his flagon of water.
"A powerful spell was cast last time that put him into a more or less eternal slumber."
"So how come he's awake again?" Tyrius asked, taking his staff into his hand.
"It was only an eternal slumber if he wasn't disturbed. Someone woke him up. So now we have to seal him away again." Rhike struggled to pull his tail out from under him, nearly falling from the horse. "Why'd you get your staff out?" he asked Tyrius.
"Because there's something coming..."

"Welcome to Charsie" the sign above Spade and Jade's head read. It was a fairly quiet town compared to the previous one, thought Spade. But then again, it was clearly much larger, and the sun was still inching it's way across the horizon, so it was still in the lesser hours of the morning. Only vendors setting up stands were seen outside, the farmers have not yet come through to sell their crops from the countyside, they probably finished milking the cow right now. The town was wakeing up this morning, getting out of bed, completly against it's own will, as any sane man likes to sleep in. Majestic mountains rose up on either side of the village, on the north and south sides, so that the sun convienently rose up right around and over the town so that niether side could be shadowed by the moutains. Now to find the town center and tell the people of the waking of Lord Rochin. This sleeply little town will get a rude awakening.
