The first thing he saw wrong was the shape of the lake...no natural lakes grew in the pattern of a seven pointed star....and another thing...where was that light coming from? He stepped closer, and her eyes snapped open, glowing pale... "Do not come closer."[/i] "What is this place?" [i]"Meachnar, the sanctuary of Ochkkik Haddah." She spoke, and shivers raced up and down his spine. The name of Darkness itself.... She looked at him again....then wrapped her arms around her body and sank into the water. He paused. To chase her could be the end of him....but there was no time to debate that. Several seconds passed, and she rose out of the water violently, thrashing and screaming... Tarlain's body contorted, flashing in and out of her Dragouret self, then she landed on the surface of the lake and curled up....exhausted. "He has accepted this. He walked foreward, twards the lake, a bit nervous. He took off his suit, leaving only his boxers, and walked closer to the lake. Finally, he jumped in, and expected something horrible to happen to him- But oddly enough, nothing happened. Maybe it was trying to see who he really was, to get a hold on him... Before doing anything? He didnt know, so he headed to the surface, to grab some air, and ask her about this lake. As soon as he got to the surface, she was no where to be seen. He looked around confused, and then gussed that maybe she went back underneath the surface. Before he went back under, he softly called her name- But there was no reply.. The incantation still ringing in his ears, he looked around worridly. He looked around, the points of the stars were glowing...almost painfully....and as soon as he tried to feel something....the mana flow increased dramatically...almost too much. The female Dragouret gripped his hand reasuringly...and then brought her arms around him, drawing him closer to her. Within moments, the water around them began to turn increasingly violent....then without warning, it poured itself into the cracks of the star, and everything was still. "What is happening?" Aiden: Yes but then it would shoot everything that moved. Sr. Ricardo: It would but it wouldn't if i attached a camera and programmed it to not shoot the animals i told it not to. Aiden: Ah. I see. He decided to follow it to back where it came from, soon he saw that he was back at the cattle shed at Senor Ricardo's ranch. His hair began to raise up slowly, flicking in the air. He judged the best way to prove his strength would be by opening up his mana, and to let it flow outwards.. Slowly his aura began to come into sight, a black aura that whipped around his body slowly, dancing like a flame would. Several flicks of silver flared up once in awhile in the aura, strangely. Ken began to yell as his aura exploded outwards, lightning flaring upwards in a spiral through the darkness. Suddenly, it ceased as a shockwave expelled through the darkness. Several beads of sweat seeped out of his forehead, as Ken's eyes reopened. He let out a long breath, and looked at the Lord of Darkness. [b]Ken[/b]: That was half of my innate Mana, sir. [b]Haddah[/b]: You arent as weak as you look.. but you still not as strong as some of the Asura I have met. Who was your father? [b]Ken[/b]: Lac'irox the Nightwalker, a pureblood demon who mated with the High Priestess of a clan of Barbarians. My mother was quite beautiful, with raven hair that went down to her knees... She was a Goddess. My father fell in love with her immediately, and well... You get the idea. [b]Haddah[/b]: Haha. You're Lac'irox's boy? You arent even half as strong as he was. [b]Ken[/b]: But my father could never destroy half a country with a blast of Necromatic energy. [b]Haddah[/b]: What do you think of Tarlain? [b]Ken[/b]: P-Pardon? Ken flushed suddenly, and that was enough for Haddah who laughed outwardly at this excuse for an Asura. [b]Haddah[/b]: HAHA! You are amusing, child. As they proceeded further into the woods Aiden's senses started to perk up some more, he suddenly saw a cave with what appeared to be crimson splatters everywhere, blood maybe, he didn't know. He turned around and motioned for the group to stick close to him. As the group came closer and entered a clearing they saw the cave and around the entrance were crimson splatters of blood and at the opening was a large pool of blood and from inside a high pitched sreech eminated. Aiden drew his sword this time and the rest got their weapons ready. [i]She smiled up to him...almost like a baby, and held her hand against his huge claws. His fingers closed around hers, and he dragged her up to him gently. Ochkik Haddah held her tightly in his arms, as a father would to comfort a child. She sighed with pleasure. Being with him always had this effect on her. Tarlain looked up into his lionface, not fearing what could destroy her without effort.[/i] "You'd better tell me how everything goes. And if he tries to hurt you..." [i]The female Dragouret laughed happily. He was all bark... "I know, I know, you'll torment him Forever and a Day." He smiled and receeded into the darkness. She shot through the air, and then reappeared in the base of the lake, which was once full of water again. The three walked into the cave and Aiden pulled out one of his luminite stones and it gave off a pale white light which exposed the face of the mother Chubacabra. It was a dark green with a hint of gray and it had blood running down its mouth onto its chin, the blood was pouring from its shot out eye and it was whining in pain. Aiden knew better than to trust the baby looks of carnivorus animals. He pulled out his bow and got an arrow ready, this arrow though was tinted with a knockout serum. He pulled the shaft back and released the arrow directly into the monter's side, it reared up and howled and tried to charge at Aiden but before it could he had his sword drawn and started to chant in Elvish. "Down you beast of the hellfire or i'll strike you down with this sword made from one of the most powerful metal." The beast got a perplexed look on its face and then just slumped down. Franz and Aiden then proceeded to take the net and cover it.After a few minutes Franz came out of the cave dragging behind him the mother chubacabra. Raccoon looked at Aiden with a questioning look.[/i] Raccoon: Where are the babies? Alex: They're dead. Aiden: Someone or something killed them, i really think we're dealing with a mysterious third party here, cause the wounds on the babies look like sword piercings and then it looks like something then proceeded to drink their blood. [i]Gives a suspicious look at Franz.[/i] Franz: Hey i don't think a vampire would do this kind of dirty work. Why drink that kind of blood when you can feast on human blood? Aiden: True.
