Anime Love Hina

I've seen the whole show, but I don't really own anything past 3 crap DVDs (the movies, which are the worst part of the series, cause I got the domestic (pioneer) ones for cheap), and art book, and Vol. 1 of the manga. I might get more of the manga sometime, but I wish it was more professionally finished by TokyoPop, cause there are typos and such.

Anyway it IS my favorite anime series for now (I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop yet, though, and a lot of my friends really praise it; also I haven't really watched Evangelion all the way through, but I've seen parts and it's sometimes cool but overall not that amusing). I like the Ah! My Goddess! movie more, but as far as series go, Love Hina is my fav anime. (My favorite non-family-guy-south-park-type cartoons are Batman TAS, Superman, Batman TNBA, etc. those are so awesome.)

Hey, I have a question. To those of you who have read the manga, what ended up happening between Seta and Haruka? Cause I figured they were supposed to hook up sooner or later.

sounds interesting,Evangelion and Love Hina are in my top 5 fave animes, Love Hina is the best romance/comedy anime i saw so far
and i heard somewhere a while ago, dont remember where, that they are making a new Love Hina Again chapter, something about that other girl with the water melons(forgot the name), and i also heard they were doing a new wedding special

Is Love Hina on any TV channels in America??I want to watch it real bad, but I don't have any money... Plus the only place i can buy Love Hina stuff only has "Love Hina: Again" and I don't want to get that until I have read all the manga or seen all the episodes...

I don't believe Love Hina is on any channel as of yet. At least not on any channel here (Columbus, Ohio), unless it's some obscure satellite channel (which I doubt). I guess you just have to wait until Cartoon Network picks it up (which I'm sure they will). Honestly, I just want the DVD set to suddenly drop in price big-time (won't happen) so I can get it and watch it in Japanese rather than dubbed.

I've just watched about 10 episodes in the past 12 hours, and I must say this show is immensely entertaining. It's complete randomness, nonsensical violence, and excellent sense of irony and satire leaves me in stitches, I laugh so hard.

I'm surprised, though, by the sudden and random flashes of reality and serious issues that crop up in this show from time to time. Whenever it gets too serious, though, one of the gals finds a new way to whoop up on poor Keitaro lol.

Gotta love the turtle and the wise old men.

I think the dude is gonna end up with Naru, but I could also see it ending with him finding the girl he made the promise to.

The animation is also quite good, taking full advantage of the ways for showing emotion unique to anime and reveling in the physics of the cartoon universe.

After hearing this about this show I might get me a job at Suncoast that why when I buy Love Hina, Detective Conan, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Beebop, Trigun, and Rurouni Kenshin DVDs from there I will get a discount anyone else know any other dvdds I should get.

Also what is the diffrence between Love Hina and Love Hina Again.

Myself, I've never seen it, although I've perused a couple volumes of the manga. It's kinda cute. It seems a little too slap-stick for me to really enjoy, though.

Some jerk in my school said he reads Love Hina ( The manga) because it's got porn in it. I've never read Love Hina, but that was never my impression about what everyone said about it. So is it, or isn't it? God, I should have told that kid to read Gravitation or something. Lol.[/color]

I've never seen the anime, but I've read the whole manga. I can't decide who I like more, Naru or Motoko. Motoko's got the whole "tough swordswoman in training" thing going for her, but Naru's... why do I like Naru again? Eh, I'll just say that I do because I do.

I hate Keitaro's adoptive sister! Keitaro should have given her a full taste of his martial art skills when she wouldn't stop bugging him.

There's plenty of fanservice... but for me at least, that's not why I like the series. It has funny characters, a hilariously random plot, and a nice (but extremely twisted) love story. Mainly I like it because it is so crazy.

And yeah, the girls are good looking. But imho you're a sad, sad person if you are spending your money on comic books just so you can get aroused. I mean, honestly, real girls are way better than pictures someone drew ;)

Sorry to have not responded sooner. No, it doesn't have any porn. Casual nudity is pretty common though, and Keitaro keeps on accidentally doing stuff like pouring water on Naru's shirt or walking in on her when she's naked. They don't take it any further than that though.

I have just started to watch the series: love hina.

so far i reckon it's great. especially because it is funny, with a great storyline. the music is brilliant.

character development is standard, but the greatness of the characters makes up for that.

a little FYI, none of Akamatsu's works have any porn in them. like bloodseeker said though, theres quite a few walk-in's throught the anime/manga. myself, i love both the anime and the manga, and the only bad thing ill say about the manga(i own it) is that the ppl at tokyopop coould have translated some of the sfx...

I'm probably going to pick up the box set this summer seeing as though I'll be working n all. Right now I only have volume 1 because I cant find anything else! I've watched it many many times and I wanna see what happens already. Soon enough it will all be mine. Anyway, even with 4 episodes I'm quite satisfied. Everything so far is so hilarious. Episode 3 with Motoko is my favorite so far.

[color=#9933ff]That's the problem with people at my school - they're retarded. I knew I probably shouldn't have believed them when they said Love Hina had porn in it, but they were so... adamant about it. Blegh. They need to learn the word "fanservice" so they can stop scaring me. ;_;

Tokyopop is lazy like that - I hate the fact that they don't translate sound effect, or like in Saiyuki, to keep it more "authentic," they put it them in the back of the book. It's not helping anyone by being there. I wrote another paragraph rambling about the injustice of Tokyopop and better companies but it's rather spammy, so i'll shut up now. :X [/color]

Hey, I've seen the whole series and absolutely loved it. I've come here to have some questions answered though.
1. Does anyone know where I can get the ENTIRE (series, movies, +again) box set? I know its been made because the anime club at my university has it, but I've been having trouble finding it anywhere. Btw, I'd like a legit copy.

2. I'm a big fan of anime music videos. I've got this one love hina video which uses scenes of the characters playing in a band (electric guitars, keyboard, Motoko on drums). It looks pretty darn interesting. The only problem is...I have no idea where the scenes came from! Like I said, I've seen all the episodes, movies, and "Again" and did not once come across a scene like this. Did I miss it or what?

Hey, so I actually read the whole thread now. Just finished the manga series last night and it was freaking GREAT! I hate ending anything, though, so it made me sad.
What's the deal with that new manga series, though. I saw some posts about it before but nothing much on it since. Is it for real? Is it new or a re-release? Most importantly, WHEN THE HELL WILL IT COME OUT IN ENGLISH (for those of us who don't read squiggles...yet).
