starlight
Karina pushed herself onward as fast as she could go. But the dust that had settled from the cloud had settled and had captured her inside choking and blinding her making it impossible to see where she was going. All she could faintly see now were the now dying fires. She could have sworn she saw movement up ahead, but paid it no mind, and focused her attention on getting as far away from the dust as she could. She suddenly whammed headfirst into something and it sent her falling to the pavement. She scrambled to her feet still coughing. Luckily for her the dust was now settling now so she could now make out something descending down to her level. She didnt have to see it fully to know that it was an angel, and if she was recognized... she would be in trouble. Karina: oh well might as well make the best of things... She drew her weapon and hoped that she wouldn't be discovered.
DeathKnight
Simikeil: Damn your powers back into Hell! Do you know how many angels you slaughtered with that beam? Death Knight: ...... Obviously, not enough. Both of their Swords were locked in a power struggle, their conflicint auras causing the ground underneath them to begin to strip away. With a giant crash, a crater formed underneath them. Slowly, the auras began to get more visible- A large white one over Simikeil, and a greyish-black one over Death Knight. Small shockwaves began to emit from their struggle, when finally Death Knight jumped over Simikeil, and kicked him as hard as he could in the back- Then took after the Archangel. Simikeil rebounded, and spread his wings as far open as they would go.. Simikeil: GLORY! Death Knight: SHIELD! A small pale blue shield flashed over Death Knight right as a massive lightning storm overtook everything infront of Simikeil. But Death Knight's shield held true- Simikeil's skill had never been tested before, but he knew the story of Death Knight. Not yet had he had the pleasure of meeting this fiend, but he should have expected some resisitance of him. Death Knight: Haste... Suddenly, Death Knight moved twice as fast as before, and slammed into Simikeil shoulder first. He flew back a bit, but used his momentum to spin one full rotation around- Kicking Death Knight in the jaw. They seemed almost evenly matched...
Juu
Celestine looked up at Tarlain, and looked over at the strange beast-girl. She never heard of one before, not even in books. She nodded in sympathy, and smiled, trying to hold back a tear. "I guess I know how you feel. My father was the only one I had left... but he was killed a week ago." Celestine said, biting her lip, trying not to cry. Tarlain's wings wrapped back behind her as she landed on the ground. She turned and looked down at the roads beneath them, demons zigzagging throughout the neighborhoods, as speck-like objects collapsed to the ground. Celestine looked down as well, as she saw the people stumble to their death. Celestine pulled her head away from the view, and grimaced at the thoughts of her father. She looked back up, and saw Tarlain patiantly watching over the city, barely moving from where she sat.
Valen
Just moments before they collided... Valen looked down and around making sure not to be noticed when suddenly he looks straight ahead and smacks into another being. He glared at it thinking it was just another demon. He drew his Isis Katana and prepared to attack when he saw the blade. He glared down upon the being that was lyeing there. Valen: What are you doing here?
Raiha
In an instant, the female Dragouret whirled around, sword in her hands.... Demons floating upwards...drawn by the scent of blood. She hissed and went into an animalistic fighting position. Celestine looked around, she couldn't see anything yet... "Get down. Guns won't help." Celestine stepped back, agasint a stone wall.....the Dragouret looked around....they weren't attraced to the human girl with her....and for that, she was truely thankful. She stood up straight again, and quickly sheathed her blade. No sense in looking like she was ready for a fight.
The Unholy Newt
Balthazar walked through the dark alleyway behind a New York nightclub. He decided it was his turn to get in on the turmoil that was destroying the city. He felt something push into his back, a gun barrel. He turned around to see a group of 'homeboys' looking for someone to mug. And they thought they had found a target. They were wrong. Balthazar: What do you want? Homeboy: What do you think we want dips**t? Cough up yo cash or i'll pop ya one. Balthazar:] No. Slowly, Balthazar's eyes began to glow with their dark red colour. The whites of his eyes seemed to burn with flame as he stared with his piercing gaze at the homeboy. As the the homeboy turned to run, he felt Balthazar's blade slide between his ribs into his beating heart. Another homeboy went down with a crossbow bolt in his forehead. Before he could reload, the others ran for it. Balthazar wiped the blood from his blade, collected the crossbow bolt from the homeboy's skull and stepped into the street to stir up some havoc. ~TUN
Juu
Celestine stumbled up from the wall, and stared in awe at what had just happened. She looked over at Tarlain to see her still staring at the sky, as if there was something there... something still watching them. She walked up next to Tarlain, and stared up at where she seemed to be looking. She couldn't see anything, but what was it that Tarlain was watching? Celestine sighed, and turned away. She didn't understand what was going on, and what was going to happen. Death Knight told her he's show her what was going on, not make it so she'd have to live through it to find out... Tarlain turned away, and sat down next to her. "Let's go. It's not safe up here."
Raiha
"I can't fly!" The Dragouret laughed and rose to her feet. With a quick movement, she picked up Celestine easily. She weighed next to nothing.... With one final clap of her wings, she rose into the air...beating. Growling. Pleased. "Wow. Where are we going?" To Atenae. We will rest and refresh ourselves." "What is it like?" "Heaven on earth. DeathKnight
Death Knight: DOWN TO THE UNDERWORLD WITH YOU! DIABLOS MAXIMOS! Firing the attack, it hit Simikeil dead on, exploding in a mass of Necromatic magic. But Simikeil stood strong, a few cuts on him, but still able to fight. Death Knight nodded to his opponent- He indeed was a worthy foe. Death Knight: .... Not bad, for an Arch Angel. Simikeil: You are skilled as well. Death Knight: ... Both of them started back at it, going faster than the human eye could see- Whenever their swords struck, the conflicting magic caused a small shockwave to eiminate out. The sound of their fight echoed across the city- The Death Knight versuses the General of the Holy Legion. Simikeil appeared in veiw again, Death Knight charging upwards silently, as always. Slashing his sword upwards, a shockwave hit Simikeil, knocking him offguard. Taking his chance, Death Knight swung for Simikeil's throat, but Simikeil's skill was enough to where he just grazed his shoulder, making a small wound slit open and begin to bleed. Death Knight: ... The wound didnt stay open for long, as an Archangels rejuvenating powers are highly trained from birth. Death Knight silently measured up his opponent, as Simikeil did the same..
starlight
Karina heard him yell at her, but all she did was shrug and sheath her katana. She rose up and faced him, obviously not knowing who he was, she assumed he was just one of the Holy Legion that got separted from his troop. Karina: I have reasons.... ???: And they are? Karina: Look buddy I dont have to listen to this crap! If I could I would help! But because of some unmeantionable events I cant! What the heck are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be out there? Juu
Celestine shrugged, as she began wondering what this Atenae looked like... She had read about a place very similar to Atenae in a book once before... "Tarlain..." Celestine said, leaning over to the side. "Do you know what's been causing all this?" Tarlain nodded, and continued flying. Of course she knew, why else would she be here? Celestine thought, squinting her eyes as the buildings sped behind them in a blur. "Well? What is it?" Celestine felt a small 'jolt' in Tarlain's body as she asked her question. "You'll find out soon."
DeathKnight
Death Knight: ... This is futile... Silently, he sheathed his sword, and descended. He looked upwards to Simikeil, and shook his head, seeming amused. Turning, he began to walk away. He turned his head back twards Simikei.. Death Knight: ... Medra will fight you next... He's coming as we speak... you are a good fighter... I look foreward to our next duel... He heard the demonic cry of Medra, followed by the sounds of steel colliding against steel. He broke into a run, and zoomed past Valen and Karina, skidding to a halt a short distance away. Death Knight: ... I didnt kill you... but Medra surely will, if he beats Simikeil... ... ... Mana be with you. Slowly, diliberatly, and in total silence he ripped a portal open with his skeletal hands, stepping into it, and disappearing from all veiw- A single drop of blood dripping where he had been..
Raiha
Several hours passed, and Celestine had fallen asleep, lulled by the purring in Tarlain's throat, and the heat generated by her movement. The Dragouret landed gently, and set Celestine down in a small patch of grass. The waterfall softly flowed behind her...filling the air with a wonderful sense of calm... Exhausted from her own work, Tarlain closed her eyes and slumped down nearby...wings folded on her back, arms crossed underneath her chin. Utter Bliss. And time went by..... Tarlain awoke, to hear the sounds of Celestine humming and picking flowers. She rose to her feet, smiling softly. "Hello sleepyhead." "She smiled breifly, and touched a hand to Celestine's forehead, opening the psi link once more. "You now wish to know the truth...?" "Yes please." "Then see this." Images, sounds, smells, and feelings rushed into Celestine faster than the waterfall moved....thundering before her eyes, filling her senses with everything. Celestine screamed aloud...she could see Him. In all his terrible darkness, filling her mind, plaguing her thoughts. Tarlain winced. She felt what Celestine had...and remembered her own agony before Him. Celstine cried out and Tarlain drew her hands away. Corey
OOC: God... I leave to do a bit of biking and to pick up my check, and look what happens. My RPG gets a fire lit under it's butt. ----------------- IC: The fight was indeed intresting. Death Knight would have won. Medra would fight well, but I had watched him too many times. His style was predictable and slightly boring. I hopped off the roof of the building and landed with a slight pain in my outstretched wings. The fight was going well, even if Death Knight had destroyed a fourth of my, His, army. I brought a small stone from my pocket and wiped a bit of blood from the street on it. It glowed a violent red. Ryan- "Death Knight, I need to talk with you." I put the stone away, and within a minute a large slash in reality appeared before me. I had taken him away from the place with the waterfall... I could not find where it was though. Death Knight stepped out. "You have dissapointed me, friend. I saw you 'save' the children. Were your orders not clear? Spare no one." Death Knight- "..." I shook my head and took out a small black vial. Ryan- "Do you know what this is? It's blood of Satan Himself. I do not distribute this freely. I have to be given permission by Him. Take it. The next time you fight an Arch Angel, you will not fail." Death Knight took it and put it in a pocket of his armour. "Now for your next assignment. Go to Mexico. There will be an army waiting in the Gulf. Do not fail us again." I turned away and heard Death Knight rip into the air. He wouldn't go to Mexico first. He would attempt to go back his little friend. I gripped the small stone in my pocket and closed the link to his mind. I sighed and started walking to the middle of the city, I still had buisiness to attend to. DeathKnight
OOC: The mix of characters makes this alot more interesting... ^_^ I am enjoying this... My RPing is a bit of a different style, I guess.. --- Death Knight: ....................... Celestine: Where did you go? Death Knight: ............... Celestine: nevermind. Death Knight: ... New orders. Silently, he tore a rip into time again, and silently walked in. As the portal closed, a single drop of blood fell onto the grass, burning it till it was dead... He appeared in Mexico, and stared out over his army. His pain and sorrow was building... All he wanted to do was die. He looked down at his army, all of which were now landing on the beach just south of the border of Texas, on the Gulf of Mexico. He descended, and talked to the high commanders of each unit. Death Knight: Alright... We've divided into 4 groups. Unit 1 under Demon Knight La'isok will seige the capital. Unit 2 under Shade General Teroth I will teleport to the West part of Mexico. Unit 3, Under Skeleton Ranger Merklo will take the east. Unit 4 under my command will sweep over the south. If any Angels appear, raise your aura to a level where I will feel it, and I will teleport all units there instantly. Lets go people... He ripped open a portal for each of the 3 units he put under command of his SubCommanders, and teleported his own unit south. Standing atop a hill, he drew his sword, and pointed it southward. Various yells in demon were heard, and his Unit spread across the south like a plague. It would take maybe 2 days to be totally sure that all of Mexico was taken, but he knew Demons were extremely quick at their work... Slowly, Mexico began to fall under Ryan's control...

DeathKnight
Smoke was billowing in columns in most every direction- Villages, Town, Cities, Resort Towns. All were burning from the fury of the Hellspawn. Silently, Death Knight watched from a high vantage point, floating in the air. He kept the movements of the armies in check, being sure he was complete in his assult. The morale of the troops was high. They had been training for when the gates of Hell would open since... Since Hell was first called 'home' for them. Shadows, Demons, Skeletons alike were all in supreme fighting spirit, and it showed. Everything looked to be going fine- The Angels must have been preoccupied in New York. A messanger flew up to him, bowing and unraveling a scroll. Demon: It says that the Eastern Unit has taken over aproxamentally... 4 border towns. Spanning... 83 miles in length, and 120 miles in width. All territory has been claimed in the name of Satan. Western unit has done a bit better, with 6 towns, new territory 164 miles in length, and 100 miles in width. The seige of Mexico City will begin at Sunrise. Your unit has taken over 7 towns, of which you can see from here.. For a total of 133 miles in length, and 120 miles in width now our land. Lord Ryan should be pleased. Death Knight: This is going to be a long Campeign. Mexico is quite large. Egh..
Corey
OOC: I'm not trying to kill anyone off. Just part of the story. ---------------- The smoke made me feel more at home. I inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of burning flesh and brimstone. I opened my closed eyes and found myself at the center of the city. Time seemed irrelevant when a war was happening. The Humans would use Nuclear Weaponry soon. Just another easier way to hurt this world. I looked up at the dust-choked sky. Hopefully all of my generals had departed the city. I knew Death Knight had. I could feel his Aura all the time. I smiled. A rare thing to cross my face. I picked up the stone, from my pocket, again and ripped a small cut on my arm. I dribbled a goodly amount on it before closing the wound in a puff of black flame. The stone glowed completely black. Ryan- "Master, I'm ready." The stone pulsed in my hand. Satan- "Go, Ryan. You may do it. All are evacuated." I smiled even more and put the stone back into my pocket. I dropped to my knees and brought out the Loche Tao Blade and plunged it into the cement ground. It immediately started to glow black. I opened my eyes and sliced my palms with a sharp piece of glass lying there. I clasped my hands over the blade and watched the blood flow down the black silver. The glowing increased and became a string pulse. My heart beat faster, the pulsing quickened. The blood poured from my fists much like water from a tap. My heart quckened even more. Sharp pains began to run down my left arm. I began to twitch. The bloodflow had increased even more. My heart was beating so fast. So fast... Fast... My vision became blurry. A black sheet covered my eyes. The blood stopped as suddenly as it started. My heart contiued beating ungodly fast, yet in vain. I felt a large consussion rock my chest. My eyes shot wide open. Ryan- "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" My heart exploded in my chest. The black pulse, which had grown to the size of a small office building, exploded outward, destroying everything. It flew throught the city, demolishing buildings and ripping the very earth apart. All life, angel, human, and demon, was extinguished by that wave of destruction. I saw it all. Everything that was destroyed, from the roaches to the angelic beings. It all flowed into my sword and down to Hell. I fell to my back, no more than a lifeless corpse. Slowly, the sword stopped pulsing. Slowly, my heart reconstructed itself. Slowly, life was breathed back into me by my Master. My soul was forced back into my body. I sat up slowly. I hated to do that. I hated dying. But I loved death. And death is what I did the best. It had not worked perfectly though... Some had survived. They always do... I stood up and started walking down to Mexico.

Valen
The two took off and got away from the city just as the massive wave of destruction had occured. You have the right to travel down to Earth at your own will. Now there is something I want to ask you... They flew until they could see that the worst thing up to that point had been ended. Raiha
She heaved a sigh and sat back down again, releived that she had not been forced to fight. Celestine watched her cautiously.... The Dragouret appeared to be calm, but was still upset.....she stood and walked over to the place where his blood had fallen. Celestine watched, pleased, and comforted. "So...why do you stay? If nothing is left here but nature?" "It is where I was raised. And I love it here. It's so clean and quiet." "Kinda happy?"
