Hehe. My apolgies old friend. On mine, your post is the last post on page 9- I thought my post had been the last on page 9. Let's say your post just happened..

Right now.

Hehe. ^_^ Really sorry.

---

As they stood next to each other, time slowly ticked by. It was still raining steadily, the drops of rain slowly sliding down the scars on Death Knight's armor. He turned to Simikeil and looked at him..

Death Knight: ...

Simikeil: Mmm?

Death Knight: ... ... ...

Death Knight cursed out loud and punched the ground as hard as he could, and silently continued the war that was wageing in his head about what to do.

Death Knight: ... ... What all would I have to do?

Death Knight stood and regained his composure, looking Simikeil in the eye. He sneezed as some of the rain fell over his nose cavity, and shook his head, trying to shake it off. Before giving Simikeil a chance to answer, he interuppted, still argueing with himself in his head in the meantime.

Death Knight: Ugh... Damn it... I might. Tell me the conditions...

Sorry about being bitchy, you guys. Rough day. -.-;

Simikiel closed his eyes, and folded his arms. Slowly, he spoke to Death Knight.

Simikiel: You are wise, Death Knight. Therefore you know of the horror that would come to pass should the land be overthrown by the Demons. We, the forces of Heaven, do nothing to provoke an attack, and yet, here we are, fighting against the brunt of Hell for no good reason whatsoever. The 'Prince of Evil' is no more then a power-hungry infidel. And if he gains control of the Earth... All hope is lost for God's people.

Death Knight: I'll take it that means you want me to join you.

Simikiel: I'd be a fool not to try, Death Knight. Your skill is amazing.

Death Knight looked down for a moment, emotions inside him flaring. His mind was racing. He looked back at the Archangel, and answered.

Death Knight: God turned his back on me a long time ago.

As Death Knight went to leave, Simikiel grasped his shoulder tightly, and spoke, harsher this time.

Simikiel: And what if evil is victorious? What world will there be left for your Daughter? Don't think your portals and the like will save her. Hell will scour every land, leaving nothing unsearched. Lucifer's powers are strong. He can rip through space like it wasn't there. There will be nothing left, Death Knight.

Simikiel looked at Death Knight, his face filled with fustration and desperation. The archangel kept his hand on Death Knight's shoulder, waiting for the Knight's final reply.

Karina looked back in the direction of New York. It wasnt right to leave that man there. She turned around and started heading back the other way.

Valen: Where are you going?

Karina: I'm sorry, but its not right leaving him there! I'm going back. ill catch up with you later, good luck Sir.

She turned and started back towards the destroyed city.

Tempting...that's what his offer was. Did Death Knight really believe that He who is most high would really resurect Skye if he joined the side of the angels? Simikiel might have had the power to do so...when blessed by Jah...But what would they really want besides Death Knight's sesrvices?

Tarlain: Is this wise...Death Knight?

Death: Do you know?

Tarlain: Ask this angel if there are any other strings attatched. And when you're done with that, tell him that I would love to speak with him...face to face.

Valen landed in Jerusalem and saw a beggar that saw him land. He walked up to the beggar, and to start his mission, holds up his Katana and slices downward on the man. Blood was running from the corpse for a while as Valen just stood there and watched, his wings finally shortening back into his body. He walked onward to the center of the city.

A few hours later, he finally reached the center. It was on a higher land than the others and was made of marble and gold... This was the temple he had been looking for. It wasn't destroyed yet. Valen let out a sigh of relief as he walked into the temple.

Death Knight: ... ... What all am I agreeing to do with this deal?

Death Knight slowly turned to Simikeil and stared at him silently, waiting for his reply. There was silence for a few moments, before Simikeil raised his gaze to his. They measured each other up for a few seconds, before Simikeil answered..

Medra slowly continued his way South. Growing weary of hacking small animals to bits, the Deloz Fury seemed to be swallowed up by darkness, a necromatic barrier enveloping it, and eventually making it disappear into nothingness. One of Medra's trademark moves; he would often send various tools and items into the Dark Void.

His face a mask of apathy, the Demon God of the Night Skies filed along on a dirt path through some park the human's tried to preserve. Pathetic. The human need for preservation was completely moronic. Such tenderness and sensativity towards something that could be ruined by a fool with a lighter.

Or a stray lightning bolt, for that matter...

Raising his right arm straight up, Medra kept his ham-sized fist closed. He opened it as thunder shattered the peaceful silence, storm clouds forming overhead. Small bolts of electricity made a web between the gaps that seperated Medra's fingers.

Still walking, as he was doing before, Medra yawned silently as a barrage of lightning bolts pelted the surrounding trees into burning and sizzling beams of fire. Spreading quickly like a wildfire, lightning shot out as if it carried a bane for all life, in the form of an electromagnetic pulse.

In a wild, uncontrolable flash, the park ceased to exist. In it's place was a graveyard of smoldering shells of what were trees and ferns, with scattered buildings, lodges and the sort, crumbling to nothing but dust as the solumn wind blew slightly. Roasted corpses of dead creatures littered the ground, charred beyond recognition. It seemed as if this entire place was just plain sent through an incinorator.

Medra lowered his arm, still walking casually. His face was now painted with a small grin, with just a hint of sadism. The Demon God was having his lot of fun while he could, for he knew angels would most certainly try and heal this nasty scar that tarnished a relativly undamaged Earth.

Sensing a new flow of mana creeping towards him, Medra called upon Deloz Fury once more. A small silver flash shot through the air, and the sword breached this dimension with a sonic boom that made nearby debris simple deatomize.

Picking up his sword, and turning on his left heel, Medra took off into the air, flying calmly and slowly towards his Angelic Foe. Little did this being know that this day was his last.

Medra: ...Such fools they are to go against my will. Do they not know what power I hold, and also that I have not yet once laid all of my cards on the table? Pah, no matter. They will soon see...

Simikeil: To serve under the Holy Legions, like you served your king when you viliantly went up against the DracoZombie that was plauging the land.

Death Knight: ... And what am I getting?

Simikeil: So that's a yes?

Death Knight: ... Might as well. On one condition... If I get my flesh back without loss of power... and Skye is ressurected with all her Sigul powers awakened, so she can defend herself..

Death Knight silently nodded to Simikeil, and then fell to one knee, as he had with Ryan ages ago when he first was sent to Hell for his wrongdoings on Earth.

Death Knight: Then my lordship changes once more...

He got up and looked up at the rain, and back at Simikeil..

Death Knight: ... I hate the rain ... It feels strange when it drips down my ribcage...

Lightning crackled down from the sky, straight into the smoldering remains of downtown manhattan. A ring of blue energy blazed around a statue in the manhattan museum of art. The ring emitted a strange but powerful energy pulse, spreading outward extinguishing flames in a fifty foot radius. Slowly flesh tones spread over the statue, and then the energy was gone. Standing alone was a mystrious stranger. Though the blue light was gone the man seemed to pulse with power. Wearing a black leather overcoat, pants and boots, he stood there. The only identifying mark on his body was a large diagonal scar along his bare chest. As his hand tightened around the hilt of Daemon's Bane, a sword cursed with the soul of the demon Astrandel, banished into the blades by the god's to do it's masters bidding, the stranger's eyes slowly opened. He spoke five words, "The Dark Prophesy has begun."

OOC: Are you Good or Evil, Valen? It's hard for me to tell...

---

In Jerusalem, atop a high hill near a temple, something was spotted. Angels in watchtowers blew their horns, and swooped down, landing silently behind the figure as it walked into the temple. Stealthily, the Angels followed it into the temple.

A chorus of swords being drawn filled the air. Blades of all sorts were pressed up against Valen's neck. One Angel, an Archangel, stood there, laughing, his Trident in hand. He walked confidently over to Valen. He was Sachiel, Angel of Water.

Sachiel: You've walked right into the garisson of Jerusalem. I hope for your sake that you are allied with the Holy Legion, young one, or you may recieve swift death.

---

Simikiel grinned.

Simikiel: Good. Now, let us trav--

Death Knight rose from his knee, and interuppted.

Death Knight: Actually... Tarlain, the Dragouret here, wished to speak with you, before we depart..

Simikiel raised an eyebrow, and leant over, catching a glimpse of Tarlain over Death Knight's shoulder. He shrugged, and nodded. Silently, Death Knight stepped aside, and Simikiel walked towards her.

Simikiel: Now, what's a Dragouret like you doing in an Armageddon like this?

Death Knight: She's the last Dragouret for now. This is their land you know..

Death Knight silently disappeared as a pentagram appeared on the ground, him teleporting away to some unknown location for now.

---

Next to Medra, Death Knight slowly came into veiw, appearing suddenly from a teleportation spell. Medra glanced at him, then looked him straight in the eye, detecting something wrong.

Death Knight: ... I've joined the Holy Legion.

Medra: I thought you couldnt get any stupider..

Death Knight: Psh. I look foreward to dueling you eventually, old friend.

Medra: I guess. For now i'm dealing with these weak mortals as I see fit..

Death Knight: Fight well.

Medra: Thanks for you concern..

Death Knight: I'm the only one giving it.

Death Knight silently turned and disappeared, going back to where Simikeil was, as Medra silently continued on his rampage, massacreing everything he felt like killing..

The dark stranger slowly stepped into the street. As far as the eyes could there was nothing but devestation, Armageddon.

Stranger: "So this is where it began."

He walked the streets for hours searching for clues, remnants of what had caused so much devestation. He knew it was going to be a long process but that was what he was created for. Since ancient times cultures had whispered legends and myths of an entity that would appear in the end times. This being whether good or evil would decide the fate of the world.

The stranger hovered in the shadows as he silently watched what appeared to be a female figure in flight. She landed softly on the street and began walking apparently not noticing the stranger's presense. She appeared to be looking for someone.

Stranger: Halt! In the name of the ancient gods who are you and are you the one responsible for all this destruction?!

His eyes crackled blue with power as he held the glowing Daemon's bane in a lowered but standby position. If this girl makes a wrong move....

Valen looked at the angels and grinned. He knew what they were doing.

Valen: I am not allied to the Holy Legion. But I am not allied to the demons either. You do not have to worry about me, for I am sent from God himself to protect the Earth and claim the demon's souls to be locked away forever. Oh, and by the way, my partner should be along soon. She's surveying the damage elsewhere and fighting demons herself.

The blades went back, as did the angels that were carrying them. Valen continued his story of why he was here, but by the time he had finished, there was a loud screech in the distance followed by a human screaming. They were here.

Valen: Sachiel, The Holy Legion went down quickly, The demons obliterated them. I am here to help, so must we do this now? There's a Holy City to protect!

IC: I hit the ice-cold water with a dull splash. It shocked my body, but not quite so much as what I had felt in my mind. Death Knight had left me. He now pledged allegiance to the forces of Light. I was lifted above the water by a winged demon.

Demon- "Are you ok, sir?!" I nodded weakly, feeling the water start to freeze on my body. I had attempted to prevent all falls. And I had, except mine. The demont hat had picked me out of the water breathed a hot jet of air onto my body. It felt wonderful. For the past day we had been flying. The weather had been getting colder and colder. Early today one of my scouts had spotted land. We had just got in sight of it when I felt something in my mind snap. It had been like a vital thread in a garment that had suddenly become undone. Momentarily, I phased out of existance. The shock was too great. Then I hit the water and was shoved back.

Ryan- "Land," I grunted, "How far is the land..." The demon pointed a finger and I saw. We were nomore than a mile away. "Take twenty demons and build a fort out of snow. Get it done fast.." I was set back onto the back of the dragon creature and soaked in it's body heat. Death Knight would have to be severely punished. Yes... Severely... "Severely..." My eyes blazed dispite my friged body. "Severely..."

Karina surveyed the damage from the air, there was nothing left of the city... unless you counted the fires, the piles upon piles of rubble, the darkened grey sky, and the smouldering remains of city buildings and streets. Still she was trying to find where the Guardian and her had been before, she was going to try to find that man. So far she had had no luck at all.

Karina: Why did I bother to come back?... He doesn't seem to be around... Oh wait! There he is!

She landed atop a pile of rubble, and started to aproach him, taking her time. When she came close enough she yelled out to him.

Karina: Hey! Over here! ...Do you need help?

OOC: *waits for Rai to post..* Time for some mindless banter in the meantime, then...
-----

Sachiel: Sent from god himself, but you claim not to be with the Holy Legion? Ha! What folly! Fear not for the city, child. We hold this land strongly. Attaris will arrive soon. With him shall be hundreds of battalions. We shall not give up the Holy Land. Our powers apex here.

Valen nodded. Sachiel ordered his legion outside, where they prepared to fortify the gates. The city was surrounded by a massive wall, far too high for any Demon to cross. Angels stood atop the fortification, armed with Holy Longbows. They shot down any foe who made the ill choice of trying to cross into the city. More angels armed with Composite bows also shot down into the sea of demons swarming at the gates into the city. Sachiel held his Trident out, brandishing a toothful grin.

Sachiel: I'm tempted to open the gates and let them come. What say you, Valen?

Valen: Would that be wise?

Sachiel: Ha! It matters not if it is a wise choice, I thirst for the blood of Demons! But I fear it would not bode well with our Lord... Very well. We shall wait. But the second they break the gates... Ha! We shall have our fun.

Death Knight: He knows i've left.

Zelfoh had been listening to it all half-heartedly, groggy and drained from the training in summoning. She titled her head to the side, and rubbed her eyes of sleep and glanced at her father..

Zelfoh: Mm?

Death Knight: Ryan. He knows I've left the demonic army.

Zelfoh: And?

Death Knight: Without my flesh, I cant beat him- His sorcerery is too strong for me to withstand a full duel in. Unless somehow I can get Medra's help... Mmmm...

Zelfoh: Medra? Leave the demonic army?

Death Knight: I dont know. I guess I can only hope my luck will hold out, and I will never have to face Ryan in a duel.

Zelfoh: Your luck never runs out, father..

Death Knight: Hush. You might jinx it.

Zelfoh chuckled, as Death Knight paced back and forth across the land, silently pondering a thought in his head a few times. He turned to Zelfoh, and looked her in the eye.

Death Knight: Do you think if we perhaps trained the humans to do battle, they could hold up against demons?

Zelfoh: Against demons?

Death Knight: Demons might have the brawn, but they dont have the brains- Thats where the Liches, Skeleton Lords, Etc come in.. To lead the mindless brutes in. Humans have always been resourceful creatures, to say the least.

Zelfoh: But fight Demons with what?

Death Knight: The angels could infuse any weapon with some sort of Holyness in it or something. It would be like a poison to them or something. It's better than humans being like pigs ready to slaughter.. I bet most Pig Farmers would think twice about butchering one up to sell if it could fight back.

Zelfoh: But do we have enough TIME to do that?

Death Knight: Bloody Hell, Basic Magic can manipulate time.. We just need resources. Like some sort of base... with teachers or something. It might sound damned difficult, but 6 billion unused soldiers are sitting on Earth.. Maybe a bit less than that from the attacks...

Zelfoh: There's no way in hell you could do that..

Death Knight: But where else can we get troops anymore, huh? The Angel's resources arent going to keep holding out to the near-endless hordes of demons. What other options do we have?

Zelfoh: Some BETTER options >.>;;

Death Knight: This war isnt going to be won by defending like the Angels have been doing. This is like a large game of chess.. We need to get a checkmate on their leader..

Zelfoh: Ryan?

Death Knight: ... Lucifer.

Death Knight turned and looked into the sky, ideas running through his head. Zelfoh shook her own head twice, closing her eyes to go back to sleep.

Zelfoh: That's a foolish idea..

Death Knight: But this foolish idea just might save the Earth you're going to be living on for the rest of your endless days.

Death Knight plopped down, trying to remember the Exact layout of Hell to see if it was possible to inflitrate it using the Demons own Gate in the Atlantic...

She smiled and tipped her wings and tail to him....horns glistening in the pale starlight.

Tarlain: .....I am defending the home of my family, and my people.

Smikiel: How honorable. It will eventually fall.

Her eyes flashed angrily.

Tarlain: While Ochkik Haddah and I are here, it will never fall.

The angel started. Even with all of his training and energy, he had not even sensed the presence of the Lord of Nightmares. He turned back to her. She was smiling now, happily almost.

Simikiel: So to save your home, you ally yourself with a demon in disguise.

At the insult of her second father, Tarlain's temper rose, in tune with the passion of her people,

Tarlain: If you are going to insult the one who saved my life, and the life of my late father...at least do it where I can not hear you! He saved this land, and he treated all of my people like children. Even though we still turned on eachother, we never stopped hoping.

My forces had made a fair structure out of snow. It was about the size of a football stadium, but it kept caving in. I felt the power of the Sigul. It was close. No more than twenty miles away. Tomarrow. Tomarrow I would destroy one of four remaining links in the chain that hold Satan in hell. But today... Today I would have a talk with Death Knight. Slowly, my mission had become more along the lines of a maniacle crusade. Little by little I had been losing my sanity. And now it was even becoming apparent to me. I walked out into the coldness of Antarctica. I still didn't understand how a Sigul could end up in a barren place like this.
I held up my gauntlet an let the black stones catch the little sunlight there was inside. They lit up and ripped a tear in space. I stepped in a willed the void to open another portal in front of Death Knight. Slowly, a tear opened. Death Knight was sitting next to his daughter. He had his eyes closed in the universal symbol of deep thought. I grinned. This would be fun. Slowly I stepped out of the tear. The air hit me with a painful sting. This place certainly didn't like Evil being here. I would not be able to stay long.

Ryan- "Death Knight! We must talk, old friend."

Zelfoh quietly stood and stepped back a few times from him, silently watching Ryan. Death Knight stood, and reached back for Apocalypse Darkness, his eyes clouding over black instead of shining red as usual.

Death Knight: You're in someone elses territory now... And you can feel the hate for Evil in the air. I'm part of the Holy Legion now... and My Lord wishes to end this stupid surge of brainless demons into the world. Begone.

Medra's fight with Zakkiel will be explained later in a flashback...
-- -- -- --
It was at this point in time that Medra, ironically, appeared at Death Knight's side, Deloz Fury in his steel grasp. However, his more demonic phase was at hand; large, black wings that had a span of around twelve feet were folded against his back like a bird's, and a whip-like tail which was covered in a dark brown fur was tightly clasped around his waist.

His eyes were stained blackest of black, and his hair was a radical white with a hint of electronic blue, and spiked just as crazily as before. Pure electricity also bounded off of his body in near-harmless bolts, and rings of lightning also flooded up his black aura, running from his feet to the tip of his hair, where it enclosed in the middle of nothing and disappeared.

Ryan smiled, knowing that Medra was with the Dark Army for life. With his help, Death Knight would bow down to Ryan once agai--

A static-charged orb backed by a powerful necromatic shockwave knocked Ryan flat on his back, and also sent him into shock, no pun intended. His body convulsed as electricity racked his body, sending his nerves into fiery agony. Ryan's fingers clenchted into clawed, prunish mirrors of a skeleton's grasp.

Finally, Ryan stopped twitching, and took to one knee. His eyes were glossy, but still ablaze with fury. Medra had struck him, and quite forcefully. Death Knight was stunned as well; the evil in Medra's heart was still there, but he yet attacked an evil figure.

Simikiel raised his eyebrow slightly, but still remained silent. Zelfoh backed even further away, hearing the low-bass growl that slid fluidly out of Medra's throat. Tarlain's lips twisted into a slight snarl, but she kept her control on her anger.

Medra: "Ryan, I suggest you leave now, before you see my true power. One other has seen me at my full potential, and the only reason why that is is because he was cursed to live forever."

Medra's eyes turned to Death Knight for a second, before his gaze turned back to Ryan, his eyes slicing right through what little pride he had left.

Medra: "As said before, this is the land of another's. Leave now, before I am forced to kill you and disembowl your decaying body."

Ryan, knowing he would not be able to withstand what great power Death Knight and Medra combined would proove to be, stepped backwards slowly until he made it into the portal he had created.

After a few minutes, everyone was settled back down...for now. Simikiel questioned Medra's actions with malice.

Simikiel: "Now then. Why in your Lord's unholy name would you attack the leader of this seige?"

Simikiel kept his hands at a rest on his blade at all times, ready to swing at Medra if the Demon God of the Night Skies even made a slight hint of a false move.

Medra: Well...for one, Death Knight is the last one who trusts me, and quite possibly my last friend in this and every other plain of existance, I suppose if you want to use that term. And secondly, the unholy name of my "Lord" is exactly why I've decided to hold against this war."

DeathKnight cocked his head slightly at Medra, his red eyes glowing, but not to it's fullest extent. A sign of deep thought.

Death Knight: "I think I understand... You don't trust him, do you? You think that if you help him, he'll just turn you in and lock you in that pit, don't you?"

Medra: "No... I can't stand his weakness. He was blinded by his supposed power, and he allowed himself to be sealed in darkness. His incompitence is sickening, and I look forward to showing him real power..."

Simikiel: "So...you too are going to pledge allegience to the Holy Legion? Or am I missing the point here, demon?"

Medra: "The latter, angel. I am joining with no one officially, but in a sense, I will in some way be helping you. Fighting hoards of demons, I assume, will help you."

Zelfoh: "Well... I guess this means that Hell will soon be freezing over?"

Zelfoh: I say we assassainate Satan. Or at least close the first gate.

Death Knight: Ryan is most likely going to try to open another gate... At Golgotha.

Zelfoh: Golgotha?

Death Knight: Where Jesus died. It's a fitting place to have a gate to hell..

Zelfoh: If they open the second gate, they'll be able to get twice as many demons out in a day..

Tarlain: Would you like to meet him?

The demon smiled back, cruel. Heartless.

OOC: So this was your plan, aye Neil. Cool.
--------------
IC: Ryan- "The lot of them! Traitors! How dare they!" I paced back and forth through the snow. All that was beneath me was bare ground. I had melted the snow away. My hands fingered the vials in my pocket expectantly. Seven. Seven there were. We were close to the Sigul. There were only two others with him. One was very weak, but I could not tell who. Hopefully it would not be the Sigul, for if it died before I killed it it would be reincarnated in another. However, if the Sigul was not sick, it would be an easy kill. I slashed a portal into the air and walked in. A second later I reappeared outside of a small research facility. It was squat, no more than six feet high. I walked up to it and peered into a window. Two standing around a bed. The one lying there was the Sigul. My eyes widened. I had to work quickly. His time was growing short.
I walked up to the door and ripped it off of it's hinges. The two twirled around to face me. One grabbed a sort of gun and fired it. The bulet entered my shoulder and exited the other side. The wound healed immediately. I grabbed the one that shot me by the wrist and snapped it off. I rammed my fist through his face. Blood dripped down my hand and I could feel his brain still pulsating beneath my fingers. The second screamed and tried to flee out the door. I plunged my hand into his back and ripped out his spine. He uttered a gutteral yell and collapsed. I turned my attention to the one on the bed. He looked at me with fearful eyes.

Ryan- "In the name of Lucifer, lord of all that is unholy, I hereby sever this link in the chain." I took out my blade and decapitated the Sigul. A rush of power went throught he room and the ground gave a large shake. One more binding that held Satan had snapped. Two more remained, the two that held his legs. He would be more powerful now, with both of his arms free. Perhaps he could make me stronger. My eyes glazed over with a look of complete wonder. Perhaps he could make me strong enough to endure the lot of them... Maybe...
I felt a prick of pain in my wings. I looked at the tattered things and saw a bone growing. How could this be? My wings had been destroyed in my decent from heaven. Perhaps this was Satans power. I smiled and marveled over my newest weapons. I walked out, back into the cold and took flight, back towards our camp.
