Raiha
"The Deepening magic is life. And death. You will learn quickly. White Elf." "But...I thought I was..." "You smell like one, and you also have that aura about you...you can't see it, but all magical creatures can. When I am through with you....you will see demons. You will see angels...and you will see everything." Celestine looked troubled. Through with you.... It sounded painful. But she would do something about it...and learn what she had to offer. The female Dragouret rose to her feet and brought Celestine up with her. The two walked towards the waterfall...the water sparkling in the moonlight. This would be a challenge. DeathKnight
Death Knight: ... Zelfoh. Out of the shadows, a young succubi stood, with a spear at her side. It was Death Knight's apprentice- The one he would teach all his powers to. He glanced over at her, and she bowed to him. Death Knight: Your next task is to guard Ryan. This might seem easy, but you know how the Angel's timing is... Zelfoh: Yes, Ken. Where will you be going? Death Knight: To watch the awakening of an Ancient. Zelfoh: Pardon? Death Knight: ... the Deepening... Zelfoh: ... Alright. I understand. You'll be at the Waterfall, I presume? Death Knight: ... Yes. Zelfoh: You can count on me, sir. ^_^ Death Knight: ... Heh... Death Knight stood up, and patted Zelfoh on her shoulder. Death Knight: I know I can.... Darkness be with you... I shant be gone for more than a day... Zelfoh: *nods* I understand, sir. *waves* Death Knight seemed to be pleased, and nodded back to her. He stepped back, and looked down to the floor, where a small blackhole slowly opened up. He waved back to her, and fell through the hole... Disappearing from veiw. Zelfoh: ... Luck be with you, father ... In the coldness of the night, a breeze blew through, as the other end of the portal opened up next to the waterfall. Both of the women were suprised, as Death Knight stepped out. He looked at them, and nodded silently in approval at Celestine.. Death Knight: I dont want to die, but I will help you in awakening the Ancient. Tell me how I can help, and i'll do it.

Corey
I sat up groggily. I had been sleeping since I had got there. I stood and immediately collapsed to one knee. What a pitiful state I was in. I clenched my fists. I felt a little more blood seep from my marrow. I stood, and this time maintained my broken posture. I walked over to, and gazed down, the stairs to my room. Death Knight was gone. Something about an Ancient... I shook my head attempting to clear it. Instead I was delt a wave of vertigo. The world spun around me and next thing I knew, I was on my back. I couldn't peer into my mind yet. I was too weak. Zelfoh walked up the stairs. Zelfoh- "Sir! What are you doing up?" I groweled lowly and allowed her to help me back up to my bed. How I hated to be bedridden... How long would it be before I could destroy Mexico as well? I turned over and moved a hand to my pocket, where the vials sat and moved my hands over them, one by one. Five, six, seven, ei... I was missing one. Where was it? I would sleep no more that day. Instead, I walked back over to the stairs and stood there. I clenched and unclenched my fists, sending more and more blood. i needed to get down those stairs. I uttered a small and malicefilled laugh. Why should stairs be such an obstical when I can destroy entire cities in seconds?
DeathKnight
Simikeil fought with Death Knight and Medra, proving his powers to surpass Medra, and be on par with Death Knight's. New York was obliterated by Ryan's show of Dark Power, leaving nothing but destruction in its path. Waiting to see where Death Knight's true loyaties lie, he sent him southward to Mexico, where Mexico City is under seige- And demonic armies are plowing through the South, East and West. Part of Ryan's army and the Holy Legion were totally destroyed at New York as well, when Death Knight let loose Diablos Maximos on the main battle, killing everyone who was involved. Let's see. Death Knight has revealed some of his past, about killing his sister at the Dragouret's home [Rai's char is a Dragouret], and is helping her teach Celestine magic. Ummm. Lets see. Valen and Karina are dead I think. That's about it I think... Did I miss anything DoK? ---- Zelfoh: Sir, your wounds will never heal if you dont allow them- With your blood, you should be able to help out the troops within a day, at the most. Ryan: I hate being bedridden.. Zelfoh: I understand, but you are really in bad shape- But that was an awesome display of power in New York. But with power comes a cost, and you just need some rest. If you need anything, please, send me some kind of signal. My father would never forgive me if I let anything happen to you...
Corey
A few survived the New York attack, including Valen and Karina. ColorDeaf's char and The Unholy Newts character also survived, although I think ColorDeaf is in Mexico City while TUN is crawling from beneath some rubble with Valen and Karina watching. Oh yeah, I'm weak as hell. ------------------ The Siguls. That is what this was all about. Satan thought that there was one in New York. He was wrong. Siguls are humans with unawakened holy power. It courses through their veins. There are nine. I had destroyed three since the siege began. I was lucky with the first. It was a scientist at the site of the fissure. I killed him as I rose into the light of Earth. He was examining the make up of the strange gas that was emenating from the huge crack in the earth. I had been shocked, so quickly had one been killed. Surely it was an omen of how easy this conquest would be. I turned my head weakly Ryan- "Or not..." In fact, this was growing steadily harder everyday. It wasn't the lack of soldiers, all demonic souls were willing to fight. It was the lack of quality. Back in the middle ages we had a surplus of violent, evil, hate-filled, malice-imbued warriors. Sadly, they are nearly depleted. I used many to kill the Siguls I had found in the middle ages. They were well known and even more highly protected then. I believe I witnessed a few Arch Angels in the battle for the first. The second came easily enough. She used a bit of magic and was accused a witch. They tried to burn her, but one of my minions had shot her with an arrow first. Six more. Perhaps there would be one here, in Mexico. If not I would have to consult the Oracle, and I could not stand his arrogant, all knowing self.
Raiha
The Dragouret looked at Death Knight...giving him a look that could only be described as ...whithering. She snarled, but permitted him to remain. "You can not help...until she has mastered the basics of sorcery. If I were you...I would go off and beat yourself up a bit more." Death Knight scowled, her manners were not up to par with those of her father...that was for sure. He returned to his tree...and watched the white elf and the Dragouret's movements. "Okay Tarlain, let 'er rip!" "Well, the Deepening magic is very complicated. So we'll start with basic elemental spells, and then a bit of Golem magic here and there. Then Holy, Dark, and a bit of Shamanisim. To learn Deepening magic, you will need a good deal of training....." "....I figured." She kicked the ground, obviously discouraged. The female Dragouret smiled gently to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry Celestine. This will be worth your time and my trouble. When we're through, you're going to be a genius, and be powerful. We start tomorrow evening. Tonight, you need to restore your Magical Essence." "My what?" "The energy that allows you to use magic. Without it, you'd faint after a few more simple spells. And the only way to replenish it is with sleep, or a Holy spell. So...." The younger human/elf nodded and sat down....yawning.
DeathKnight
Death Knight: ... This was it. He could feel the tension building- Would Celestine be able to do it? He had trained some humans before to do magic, but never an Ancient. Death Knight: ... Maybe it will be easier to teach an Ancient... Raiha
The two quickly fell to sleep, lulled by the sound of the waterfall. It was quiet....and the sound of the kites speaking to their chicks....was sweet in their ears. And time went by.... The Dragouret's eyes snapped open, and she shook her apprentice awake. The two rose to their feet, yawning, and stretching. Then Tarlain smiled at Celestine and held her hands in hers. "I vow to teach these hands the magic passed into me. Do you promise to listen to my instructions with a hearing heart?" "Yes..." 'Swear it." "I swear." "Then we shall begin. I think it would be elementals first. Let's see which you have an afinity for. I'm going to fire a few bolts of magic into your hand. When it feels warm and comfortable, let me know." "Will it hurt?" "No, I'll keep it gentle." She stood back, then centered her energies. Carefully, Tarlain brought her right hand forward and fired a small burst of fire into her palm. Celestine yelped with surprise, but appeared to be alright. She nodded in assurance, and Tarlain continued, running through all of the elements....finally, she stepped back and crossed her arms. "Well?" "I liked the light, it was healing." The Dragouret's eyes narrowed slightly. Perhaps she had more tolerance for pain that she gave her credit for...oh well.
Juu
Celestine smiled, and closed her palm, enjoying the feeling of the bolt. It tickled her through her veins, and felt very strange to a person that was witnessing magic for a first time. Tarlain stared at her hands, which still seemed the same; unaffected. She picked up one of Celestine's hands, and stared at it. "Well? Which one felt the best" "The third one was nice. I enjoyed the way it felt afterwards." Tarlain dropped her hand, and stepped back, tapping a foot on the ground as her wings closed behind her. "That was ice. Since you're a white elf, it's not that surprising you liked it." "Will you teach me how to use it?" Celestine asked, her eyes piercing at her. "Soon. But for now, time for lesson two."
Raiha
"What's lesson two?" "Controlling it. Now I'm going to put a basic light spell in your hands, and you have to form it into another shape." "What shape?" "A seven pointed star. The Sign of Deepening Magic." Celestine leaned forward, hands stretched out, open...waiting. The Dragouret closed her eyes then opened them again. Energy flooded slowly to her fingertips, then appeared in the form of a shapeless blob. She placed it in Celestine's waiting palms and stood back. Celestine slowly felt it with her fingers...then concentrated. Slowly, but surely, it began to pulse and give out more light than ever before.... She began to shape it with her hands and mind, enjoying the gentle warmth it gave her body...
Corey
Laughs at Raiha. ------------------ I felt slightly better. Nowhere near healthy enough to destroy Mexico, but better none the less. If I didn't feel 100% by the time the siege was complete, I would drink one of the vials. That would certainly put a spring in my step. I stood from the bed and walked to the window. Mexico was almost completely taken. Another few hundred square miles and we would have it. There was a sudden comotion out in the square. I opened the window and looked out. There was a human being pushed throught the crowd. It, she I saw, was bound and bloodied, but not killed. There was a mark on her left arm that had remained untouched. I stopped breathing. Ryan- "Zelfoh!" The Succubi came bounding up the stairs with fearful eyes. "Help me down to the square NOW!" She quickly slung an arm under mine and helped me down the stairs. My feet wouldn't move as fast as I wanted. "Faster you accursed thing!" She lept down the last five and held me up. I straitened my posture as best I could. I couldn't look weak now. I opened the door and stepped out into the hazy light. Demon- "Sir... Sir Ryan!" Demon 2- "You are alright!" I shook his hand and walked over to where the woman stood. The tatoo began pulsing a white light as I stepped closer. Ryan- "Well look what we have here. A human. I thought my minions had killed you all. Tell me, why are you here?" The woman spat into my eyes and glared at me. Woman- "I don't know why your things don't just kill me. They have done everything else. I've been beaten, raped, ravaged, and mutilated. Why don't you just kill me?" I wiped the blood-filled saliva from my face and walked up to her. Ryan- "I will tell you, my dear. Break, Osult, you may go." The two demons that were holding the woman down exchanged a look of pure glee and let the woman go. "Tell me, what is your name?" She looked at me, and then at the circle of demons that had formed around us. Jenny- "My name's Jenny... What do you want with me?" I walked, diligently up to her. Ryan- "Jenny, do you know what you are? I can tell from the look on your face you do not. Let me explain. At the beggining of time there were nine wizards. They served God. For thousands upon thousands of years they fought Satan and finaly enclosed him in Hell. They were called the Sigulalas. Their decendants are called the Sigul. You, my dear woman, are a Sigul. That is their mark, on your shoulder." She looked at me dumbfounded. I sighed, and took out the stone. "Death Knight, here, now. My dear friend will help you on your way." Juu
*fears the anime hammer* ------- Celestine bit her lip, trying not to giggle at the feeling of the pulse. She stopped, and tried to concentrate. Strangely, it was at the same level of difficulty as was the illusion... She stopped, and began to wonder.. How was she doing it? After twenty-three years, how had she not known of her ability? Much was still confusing to her, and she wondered how long it would take until she understood everything that was happening. Everything was happening so fast... She had forgotten things she had been told even one week ago... what did she have for breakfast three days ago? Dinner? Lunch? Everything seemed to speed by quickly, without thinking... Everything was like a dream. This place, Tarlain, Death knight, the demons, the angels... Celestine opened her eyes, to see the blob had began to turn into a rough draft of a star, so she continued concentrating. Her mind had to be empty if she was going to learn...
Raiha
As she worked, the star sharpened, and began to pulse more than ever. The Light it gave off was almost blinding...and Tarlain relished the work of her apprentice. It was the work of one used to magic, not a two day student. Her Elf's blood must be reacting to Atenae. "I did it!" As her excitement surged to the breaking point, the star exploded into a million peices, scattering them with bits of energy. Celestine's eyes grew wide, then she looked down, very embarassed. The female Dragouret touched her face gently, smiling. "It's alright. Just remember to be calm when you use magic. Otherwise, it will turn against you..." "But then how do I make my attacks powerful?" "Feelings can be used to boost magic, but it must be controlled. Emotions will either aid or harm you. Learn not to trust them completely." "You seem to be a passionate person." "I go with the flow...but I do have control, outer apperences are not everything Celestine. Juu
Celestine nodded, and closed her eyes again, relaxing a little more, and un-tensing her shoulders. The same light blue blob appeared once again, and hovered between her palms. She formed a cresent between each of her thumb and pointer fingers, allowing the light to hover inside the diamond, the shapeless blob still intact. She took a deep breath, and squint her eyes even more, as the light started turning into a rough shape of a star once again. The streaks of light slowly began to turn as the shape grew larger, and shrunk again. Tarlain got up, and shifted to a more confortable position, as she patiently watched her apprentice struggle to complete the spell. She smiled as she watched a sweatdrop fall from Celestine's forehead, and hit the ground. "Calm down. Strength doesn't affect the process of the spell. It takes concentration." Celestine took another deep breath, as she cleared her mind, letting her mind be one with the blob, controlling its movements with her mind.
DeathKnight
Death Knight: ... Death Knight lept from the tree upwards into the air, twirling aroud twice, ripping another portal into space and flying into it, and ripping another hole right near Ryan, stepping out silently. Death Knight: ... Mmm? Zelfoh bowed to her father, and watched- she was extremely interested at what was going on. Death Knight turned from Zelfoh, and looked at Ryan. He nodded to his Lord.. Raiha
She looked closer....was it just her, or had she centered the mana completely? She had! Tarlain controlled her elation. Behind the glare of the Light, she saw the core, twisting and pulsing. The star sharpened, then solidified completely. Tarlain clapped her hands, smiling. "Very well done." "Aww, thanks. It was hard though. I wanted it to be perfect." You have no idea just how perfect it was. You centered it completely, inside and out. And for that, I think you're ready for lesson four. You can already bring mana into your submission. And that's more than I can teach you." "What's lesson four?" She smiled wickedly. "Golems."
Juu
Celestine gulped, and felt a sudden emptiness at the word. "Golems??" Celestine did not like the sound of that word... at all. "Golems" She replied simply. Tarlain smirked, and nodded. She enjoyed seeing Celestine worry, although her fun couldn't last long if they were to fight. Suddenly, Tarlain felt her stomach growl, as so did Celestine's a short bit afterward. The two laughed, as Celestine got up. She walked up to Tarlain, and put a hand on her shoulder. "Do you think we could get something to eat? We haven't eaten for two days now and-" Celestine stopped, and laughed at herself, thinking about all the things she still had to learn. Raiha
She smiled and the two disapeared into the forest. Within moments, a buck antelope was grazing on a wild trillium. The female Dragouret placed her hands on Celestine's and then extended them forward, pointing at the unsuspecting animal. Then she shouted and their combined mana flew forwards, both of them yelling at the same time. "MANA ARROW!" The beast fell to the ground, transfixed with a glimmering red arrow, and completely dead.....it's death had been swift, easy. Celestine smiled. That had been fun. "Wow." Come on dearie....let's eat. "Raw? Ugh, that doesn't sound so good." Tarlain blushed brightly. She had forgotten the tastes of humans and elves were different. She smiled and dragged the antelope back to the waterfall by the horns. The two stopped and then Tarlain looked at Celsetine. "Lemme guess, go get firewood." "Yep, you're learning faster and faster..." Celestine smiled and went back into the forest. In the meantime, the Dragouret's blade flashed into her hands and slid into the thick hide of the antelope.... After several minutes, it was quartered, and the hide was stretching in the sunlight..... Celestine staggered back to the clearing, an large pile of wood in her hands. She set it down, forming a small ring....then she brushed her hands off and looked at Tarlain expectantly. She sucked in a huge gulp of air, then breathed out a blast of fire, effectively setting the oak on fire.....
Juu
Celestine blinked in astonishment. She rubbed her eyes, and stared at the fire blankly. "So I guess humans weren't the first to create fire..." Celestine said, still bewildered at the flames. Tarlain smiled, as she tore off a back limb from the buck. She smiled as she took a bite of the flesh, and grinned once it was swallowed. "Don't you want yours cooked too?" Celestine asked, looking over the antelope. "I mean... isn't that kinda hard to eat?" Tarlain sat more closely to the fire, but kept the limb away from the flames. "It gets too soft when you cook it. Don't worry, you'll understand soon enough." Tarlain replied, taking another bite off the leg. Celestine gazed at the sparks of fire rise up into the air, and disappear by the antelope's fur. Things truely looked more beautiful now... She smiled, and sat in front of Tarlain. "While it's cooking, could you tell me a little more about these... golems?"
DeathKnight
Ryan: Kill her. I have business to attend to. Ryan walked off listening to the banther of various advisors on how the takeover was going, and Death Knight looked at the woman in the eyes. She was crying. She was scared. She was ready to die. Death Knight: ... He picked her up by the throat, beginning to bring her face closer and closer- Intill it was within one inch of his. Death Knight: You are going to die painfully, do you know this? Jenny: Probably... Death Knight: Then you have given up hope? Jenny: Yes. Death Knight: Then you truely deserve to die... All those that have lost hope, are wasting the Earth's time. Jenny: What Earth will there be when you are done with it? Death Knight: ... Silently, Death Knight threw the Sigul as high into the air as possible, raising his hand, aiming it at her. A shockwave eminated from his palm, hitting the Sigul and ripping her flesh off compltely, her bloodied skeleton falling back to the ground. Every mana user in the world felt the death of the Sigul, and Death Knight was truely sorry. He knew that somehow this had to stop- He might be dead, but he cant bring about the destruction of the world. Slowly, he ripped a portal open, and stepped in... ... Raiha
She chewed thoughtfully......that was a good question....she showed much more promise than her human apprentices once had. "A Golem is a creature created out of dust and rock. But Golem Magic is the creation of one, or the manipulation of the earth itself. It's difficult magic, but not so bad. You should pick it up relatively easy." "Sounds interesting." "Yeah, but it's not a pretty thing." She tore off another hunk of meat with her fangs and chewed, ignoring the blood dripping from her mouth. Tarlain whirled around. Death Knight was watching them. DeathKnight
Death Knight: ... Sure... He tilted his head to the side, and walked foreward, sitting down indian style near them. He picked up a hunk of raw meat, and ripped into it. Some of the blood was on his jawbone, and he looked somewhat ominous with the blood. Death Knight: ... I prefer cooked beef... but... this isnt so bad... if only we had some wine... He was acting somewhat normal, oddly. For some reason he wasnt being as cold to them after the illusionary Skye thing that happened the day before. His heart was still set on the Sigul he had killed earlier... hopefully Celestine wasnt a Sigul. Maybe she was just an Ancient. The difference being that Ancients are merely heroes from ages past, whos souls are reincarnated in times of great distress. Death Knight: ... I had to kill a Sigul... did you feel it?... She had given up hope.... Celestine: Sigul? Death Knight: An ancient race of Godsents... who sealed Satan in Hell... They have a tattoo like mark somewhere on their body... Ryan is hunting them down... They are worthless in the fight against evil if they lose hope... because then their powers wont awaken... He ripped off another large piece of flesh, and silently stared into space, deep in thought. He seemed to be constantly thinking about things, taking in his surrondings. Death Knight: ... yes... I have had personal expierence with Siguls... I had to kill one other before... She had give up hope... Irony had it, that the reason she gave up hope was because of me... His eyes drifted to the waterfall briefly, before he retorted back to staring at the fire, the dancing of the flames were soothing to the veteren warrior, as he had seen them so many times before in so many situations. Death Knight: ... ... Discuss your Golem Magic.... ... Your training is more important now than whatever stormy seas may inhabit my past... ... He silently rose after finishing his meal, and jumped high into the sky, landing with a soft thump in the tree, where he seemed most at peace just lounging, staring at the waterfall...
Flash
In the highest reaches of heavens, in the great hall of the angels, the Generals and Leaders of the Holy Legion met. Seated at a large table were Archangels, members of the Holy Legion. At the head of the table sat Simikiel, and on his right, Gabriel, and at his left, Michael. Simikiel stood, and addressed the order. Simikiel: We have lost great numbers in the East. Ardarel, please speak of our positions in South America. Ardarel, the Angel of Fire, stood up. Ardarel: Our lines of defence run strong through the Equator. But to the north of them our footholds are slipping. They may soon pass our lines, sire. Simikiel: Alas. How long, Ardarel? Ardarel: A few days at best. They're nearing our first line in Panama, 300 miles as the crow flies. Their numbers are strong. Simikiel: And what of the West? Whilst Ardarel took a seat, Ziquiel, Angel of Meteors, rose. Ziquiel: They are bombarding us with attacks. I doubt we can withstand much more, sire. Simikiel: ...Very well... Attaris. Tell me of our position in the holy land. Attaris, Angel of Winter, and General of the Armies in Europe, arose. Attaris: Our claws are dug deep, sire. Our forifications hold strong. The demons are no match for our forces. Simikiel: Good, good. Ziquiel! Order your men to retreat at once. We have lost the West. Join Ardarel's forces in Panama. Do we have forces to the north? From the far end of the table, an Angel arose. Zakkiel, Angel of Storms. Zakkiel: Aye, sire. We hold territory in most of Canada. Simikiel: Excellent. Charge south. Ziquiel, do the same. See if we can't push the demons down towards our defences in Panama--They'll be overwhelmed, and boxed in. For now, I will return to earth. You all shall do the same. Gabriel, Michael, I leave heaven's gate in your hands. The Angels nodded to each other, and all left the great hall, through massive marble doors, engraved with golden runes. The language of the Angels. Simikiel left after everyone else. He had some things to take care of... Namely, the Death Knight. Ne'er before had he been matched in battle. Especially not by a thing such as him. Simikiel grasped Apragsin tightly, and knelt. Simikiel: Damn this war. Lo, you alone hold the power to vanquish all that is unholy from the universe in an instant. Why not do so, o' Lord? A voice spoke to Simikiel, as if inside his head. Simikiel, you know I cannot. Tho' the accused may be, alas, deserving of the severist of punishment by any standard, I could ne'er commit such an act. I have given you Apragsin. I have blessed the blade with my own power. DeathKnight
Death Knight: ... Suddenly, from the left of him, a portal much like the kind he uses ripped out. Casually looking to the left, Zelfoh stepped out and hopped to the ground from the Nothing dimension, and she glanced around in wonder. Death Knight: Celestine, Tarlain, Meet Zelfoh... The most beautiful Succubus that the world has ever seen. Zelfoh: Father, dont make me blush, please. Egh. Alas. Tis too late for that I guess. Death Knight: Zelfoh, dont be rude. These are my friends, Celestine and Tarlain. Celestine is an Ancient, and Tarlain is a Dragouret. Zelfoh: Damn. You have intersting friends! An Ancient and the last Dragouret, goodness its a pleasure to meet both of you ^_^ Death Knight: What are you doing here, Zelfoh? Zelfoh: I just wanted to see the place you used to tell me about as a child.. It is as beautiful as you said it was.. Death Knight: Of course it is.
