She sighed and looked at her feet.

Tarlain: It's not that...I just....After being alone for decades....and then having people come to your living room when you hardly know them...

That prickling feeling in her nose started, and she struggled to contain a fresh flood of tears. He was only looking at her....not even speaking.

After a few moments of consideration, he placed his hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eye. A look of wise consideration came over his face, and he nodded slowly.

Sennen: I understand how you feel, but, now you are not alone. From personal expierence, I know that sometimes change comes radically.. But change is usually for the better, You have to remember that.

He smiled like a father does to his daughter, and patted her on the shoulder several times compassionately, his piericing stare remaining on her. His head tilted slowly, as if to say something more, but he remained silent, intill she said something.

Tarlain: I.. Guess.

Sennen: If you want to know about me, or any of my counterparts, I can tell you anything you wish to know if it would help you trust us more.

He removed his hand from her shoulder and a small smile came across his face. He was treating Tarlain like his daughter, but he knew she needed some emotional support. She was very strong- But even he had cryed in recent days from everything..

Tarlain: I know enouh. If I wanted more, I could look.

Sennen: How long have you isolated yourself?

She shrugged, then slumped her shoulders.

Tarlain: For about 70 years. I could not bring myself to see humans agin. Do you know what I mean?

Sennen: Of course. Humans arent really used to walking skeletons.

He moved his hair from his face, turning and looking to the sky through the trees. Swiftly, he turned back to her after a few moments..

Sennen: Isolation is what I did for alot for the first few decades, simply because I had no idea what to do at all, and I didnt want to see anyones face, or emotions which I could not show anymore.. I know how it feels, but it was good to flow back into the world scene, even if it was with demons..

Back in Jerusalem...

The gates continued to rattle until a crack showed itself. A few moments had passed as the gates broke under the force of the demons. The angels instantly started shooting their holy arrows at each demon that entered without missing. The only demons that got through were those who entered while the angels were reloading their bows. The demons screeched in pain as the holy arrows pierced right through their flesh, destroying each demon the they hit.

Valen took to flight as the angels kept shooting at will. There were many more demons than angels. Valen unsheathed his Isis Katana as it started to glow a golden color with a faint light surrounding it. Could this be Valen's only defense against the Demons? The Holy Slash was only one of four attacks he could use to destroy the demonic plague. He flew towards the gate slashing through every demon that came near him. This was evening out the odds of the battle. What would he do once he got to the gate and is overrun by demons? Only time will tell...

The laughter again. I sighed and walked throught he portal to the Oracles cave.

Oracle- "Little Ryan, back so soon. You must have faired the Arctic quite well."

Ryan- "Yes... It wasn't as hard as I had predicted. Now for the new Siguls location. I know you know." He laughed his cold laughter and walked about his small dwelling.

Orcale- "Indeed I do. I know all, but the outcome of this battle is cloudy. Even more so than before the scales can be tipped in eithers favor. The powers of good are gaining forces. A new Sigul has emerged, binding Satan and increasing the weight on their side of the scale. For the new Sigul, who isn't quite as new as you think, is a powerful being indeed. It's location you have already been too. The place where Medra struck you down. The place that sapped you power and brought you to your knees. The place that hates evil." His last words echoed through the cave. I looked dead into his eyes. He wasn't lying. I would have to go back to that blasted place.

Ryan- "Tell me how to prevent that place from hurting me! Tell me now Oracle for I know you know!" He looked at me and grinned.

Oracle- "All in good time.." He dissapeared into a puff of smoke and a gale of fresh laughter.

Sennen: Alright. Stop.

Tarlain: ?

Sennen: We have to help them at Jerusalem.. They cant handle all of those demons..

Tarlain: Simikeil can handle that. You worry too much...

Sennen: The only reason I worry is because no one else seems to be takeing that job. Oh bloody hell. If the Holy City falls to demons I dont care. Simikeil didnt give me orders before he disappeared anyway.

Sennen, turned and stormed off ahead, leaving a trail of murmered curses in his wake..

Medra flew silently forward after Sennen, his wings flapping but not actually what was substaining his flight; necromaric energy was more than enough to send Medra at at least Mach III if he wanted.

Medra stopped short, and opened his mouth to utter words that would never have been imagined to be spoken from the likes of him.

Medra: "I'll go, if you wish..."

At this point in time, everyone seemed to stop dead. Even the flow of mana seemed to slur to a halt, but life quickly resumed, as it had a natural tendancy to do so.

Sennen: "Well... That was certainly most unexpected. But my question is, why?"

Skye: "Indeed. Why would the likes of you choose to go? I specifically remember you wanting to control Hell's army, and eliminate Luifer. Plus, --"

Medra: "Enough. I withdraw my offer if you all meet me with malice..."

Sennen: "How predicible..."

Sennen's eyelids slid down to mere slits when he heard the familier sound of the world being torn open, and the wind slashing through the differences of life and death; the Dark Void had been opened. Another familier sound rang out, the clang of the Deloz Fury being re-inserted into this plain of existance.

Medra was suddenly in his face, his weapon in his left hand.

Medra: "Make no mistake, Sennen, I will NOT hesitate to strike you if cross me again..."

Medra turned his back to the others, and silently stalked into the distance away from them.

Tarlain: There is still much evil in his heart. We'll have to teach him to control it.

Tarlain sighed and drew out her staff. The two snakes carved onto its sides quietly came to life and shuddered. Darkness rising. She hissed through her teeth and quietly rose into the air. She slowly turned twice, checking the perimeters of her land. It was quiet, but there was a fear in the air...one that was not there before. Her eyes slitted and she landed on the waterfall's field. It would take a great deal to protect herself from this....

Tarlain: What I wouldn't give for twelve more of my kind....

Skye: You are a shamaness?

Tarlain: I was. When my people were still alive. But now....I just....am. Last of the Dragourets. There will be no more of our kind.

Skye: ....no more dragons.

Sennen: Are we going to let Medra go by himself?

Tarlain: I must stay. I fear for Atenae. And for your newly resurected self. There is strength to stop a necromancer from dominating, but it will not be enough.

Simikiel opened his eyes. He was in the temple, at the heart of Jerusalem. The others were coming, just as he had intended. Whether or not they would even be needed, though, Simikiel was unsure. And it was a good thing. The General of the Holy Legion looked outside, seeing masses of Angels slaughtering Demons at the gate. He smiled. Attaris hadn't even arrived yet, and they were annhilating everything Hell's army were throwing at them. But Simikiel feared that their numbers would soon increase greatly.

Suddenly, a massive rush of wind crashed into the Demons beyond the city walls. An Icy wind, freezing the unholy beasts dead in their tracks, left to be shattered by th Angel bowmen. Simikiel grinned. Attaris, Angel of Winter, had arrived, with his 100-strong battallion of Ice-Angels. These lesser angels were stronger than the regular Angel soldiers of the Holy Legion, and blessed with the power of Ice magic, which made them fierce warriors indeed. Simikiel rushed outside, greeting Attaris as he landed from the heavens.

Simikiel: Attaris, old friend! Thy arrival is much to celebrate, but alas, we haven't the time. The Demons are no match for us now, but I expect their numbers to triple in coming hours.

Attaris: I see, Simikiel. Ne'er mind, for now that I am here, we have an army worthy of raiding the throne of hell itself. No Demons shall survive.

Simikiel: Excellent. Please, feel free to use the temple, or if you wish, join the front line. I know I'm going to.

The two Archangels grinned at each other, and each drew their respective weapons. Simikiel; Aspragin, the sword of God, and Attaris; the staff of Arctic Wind. Side by side, the two Generals charged into the frey of battle, destroying demons by the handful.

Medra was a silent storm unto himself. Clouds began to collect overhead, as lightning spewed forth over the land. Trees bent away from him as he forced more and more of his mana outwards. A dark light took shape as his aura, pulsating pure evil energies. Sparks of static danced around his body, burning small divots in the grass below occasionally, but no fire came from it.

A way of dealing with his problems, actually. All of it. Just release untamed rage upon things without actually destroying them. Seemed to calm the Demon God of the Night Skies down, but deep inside, he was ablaze with anger.

He made one effort to help their cause, and they jump all over him for it. It made Medra wonder why he just didn't slay them where they stood. But no matter. Soon his goal would be realized.

Ryan, however, was his only obsticle. The fool thought he had power. By talking to an Oracle? Hell, Ryan didn't even know "Satan's" true form, yet he was a pet. A pet Medra intended to nail to Lucifer's door with his entrails thrown about at the four corners of the Earth.

It was at this time that Tarlain came from the edge of the forest, and made her way to Medra. Her horns were afire with a soothing, unearthly glow, her wings flaired with a near-demonic look, and her eyes slit like dangerous, glinting daggers. Medra, also to his embarrassment, noticed she was not wearing a shirt[*]. He sunk the occasional glance in right when he first saw her, before turning away, trying to ignore her as he sheathed his weapon.

-- -- -- -- --
[*]: According to Rai, Tarlain's been missing her shirt for the past few posts.. So yeah. O_o;;

She smiled slightly, the tip of her fangs nearly visible. Then she beckoned to him with her left hand and smile.

Tarlain: Don't tell me you're actually shy.

Medra: ...what makes you think that?

Tarlain: You're blushing. The scent you're giving off is one of both attraction and rage.

He looked indignant for a moment, then turned away once more. She lifted herself around him and quietly rose into the air....moving in semi circle around him. Medra silently followed her movement out of the corner of his eyes.

Tarlain: Are you afraid of your feelings?

She touched his face with the back of her hand, then laughed as he colored furiously. He tried to escape, but his feet seemed to have shut down completely. Tarlain chuckled and landed directly in front of him, mouth slightly open.

Sennen's eyes closed slowly, and he reached back, gripping the handle of Apocalypse Darkness firmly. Silently he drew his sword slowly, a flash of yellow eminating outwards as the swords soul awoke, the slow glow lighting up the surronding forest. All was well here... but Jerusalem needed him.

Zelfoh and Skye nodded to themselves as a telepathic message reached them, as well as Tarlain- Who was busy with Medra. As soon as he was done, he slashed open a portal and stepped inside slowly...

In the midst of the demon armies, AD slid outwards into a demon's throat. It chocked breifly, before Sennen twisted it and ripped his head off, stepping out of the portal. His armor changed to pure black, as Death Knight's had in battle, and several demons stared in confusion at the person who was wearing their former generals armor.

Demon: ...... Who are you?

Sennen: Death Knight, reborn.

Ken roared a battlecry, and lept into the air, joining the front lines of the Angelic army, coldly slaughtering his former breathern with an amused sadistic look on his face. Death Knight was now truely reborn, still slaughtering, just with a different allignment..

Karina waited for a long time for the mans responce... the was none. She had a feeling... she had to catch up with the guardian.

Karina: So you wish to go without help? Fine then, I'm sorry sir to have to do this, but I must leave, I wish you the best of luck.

She spread her wings wide and left, scolding herself for going back in the first place. But now was not the time, she felt as if she was being summoned to the holy city of Jerusalem, she flew at a speed that she didnt think she was capable of, but time WAS NOT on her side, she knew that much. As she drew ever nearer she saw that the battle was already occuring. A gigantic mob of demonic beasts had surrounded the city. She gasped at the sight, for it was not everyday that anyone could see this.

Karina: I hope I'm not too late to do something! oh well at least i cant be blamed for not trying.

Karina started to hover about 100 or so feet above the massive swarm of demons. She held her hand out, the palm of it facing directly downwards. Her hand began to glow with a blue light, as the air around her began to chill. Ice chunks of various sizes and shapes... but mostly spear shaped, appeared from nowhere behind her. With a flick of her wrist, the ice started to bombard the demons, killing not at all that many.

Karina: Well wasn't that pointless?

She felt a sharp pain as an arrow fired by a demon peirced her left wing. She faltered for a moment but managed to stay in the air. She had to land soon to get it out, so she flew over the walls of the holy city and landed. Without hesitation she ripped the arrow out, winceing slightly, she pulled out her blade and went to help in the fight, slaughtering where she could.

OOC: Maybe it's just the Chocobo De Electro song I've been listening to for the past hour but this RPG seems to be growing by leaps and bounds!
---------
IC: Ryan- "Ice Angels..." I started my slow decent back towards the earth. I had scanned the battle from the air outside of Jerusalem. It was turning in their favor. Deperate times call for desperate measures. I looked down upon the Zealots from my current altitude. We needed a distraction. I grabed one of the black vials from my pocket and looked at it. Satans blood had many powers. The first was to strengthen. The second to kill. The third to strip one of powers. The fifth and final was to create a direct exit from Hell. This is what had been done in the Atlantic.
I looked down at the one vial. It would not be enough. I grabbed another two and hurled them toward the city. I tracked their decent from the air, poised with my black wings flapping. One-thousand feet. Five-hundred. Three-hundred. Two. One... They hit at the exact same time. A ripple rocked the area around the impact. The ground started tearing apart and falling down. The battle, both angelic and demonic forces, stopped and everyone stared. All of the earth in a six-hundred foot radius fell down into Hell. Screams issued from the fissure and demons started to pour out, intent on destroying the Angelics.
I smiled and returned to the ground. The Zealots were getting restless.

Ryan- "Soon... First I want you to distribute these to each soldier. They will ward off any elemental attack. This will prevent Medra from using his powers on us... Yes... The Ice Angels too... Then I will be able to teach them all a lesson... Yes... " I waved my hand and a mass of black breastplates appeared out of nowhere. The Zealot I had addressed placed one over his own armour and started fitting them on the others. Soon the siege of Jerusalem would occur. And the Siguls would be down another two.

Sennen: I hate those vials.

Sennen ripped through a demon and brought his blade down to the ground, falling to one knee. He whispered something to the ground, and waited- Nodding silently after getting a reply. He couldnt summon when so many active auras were around. Getting up slowly, he ascended slowly above the battlefield, looking down into the massive fissure.

Raising his hand, the clouds around him disintegrated into nothing as his aura flashed into life, a small shockwave erupting outwards as he did.

Sennen: ...... Diablos Maximos.

The beam erupted out of his hand, blowing him back breifly from how much power he had put into it. It flew downwards, into the fissure.. Silence fell for a few moments before a large firebomb exploded upwards, engulfing every demon that was coming out of the fissure. Black smoke billowed out of Hell, as Sennen silently descended through the black smoke onto the ground next to the fissure.

Peering in, he saw various demons scrambleing around, dead bodies of their kind everywhere. The sound of marching eminated from the largest hallway down in the depths of the fissure, and Sennen slowly stood up, the flames around him licking at his flesh. The embers that were rising up around him cast a dark light on Sennen, as the demons began to flow out of the fissure again with increasing force.

Sennen: When will this monotony STOPPPPPPPPPPP?!

Getting angered at his own frustration to the Demon Armies, he began to wildly slay every demon that came his direction, with increasing rage and speed..

Valen jolted above the demons, slicing as many as he could on his way up. The viles had hit and this city was going down. He knew that, so he did the only thing he could think of to even give the army a chance... Crimson Judgement Beam...

The sky went dark as Valen's body became surrounded in a crimson light. Ryan saw this and watched in anticipation of what Valen was going to do next. Lightning started coming from the sky and Valen's body. His eyes went white as held out his hands, which were now covered in a golden light. A small orb began to form in both of his palms as he aimed them at the demons that were coming into the city. Suddenly, in a flash of crimson light, a beam about 90feet wide came crashing down upon the demons below, destroying them on impact. The beam arose to Ryan as he moved out of the way. This went on for a small while. It was futile, the demons just kept coming in.

He wasn't a stupid archangel. He knew when it was time to flee, but he couldn't just leave the army and Karina there. The army was almsot out of arrows and the forces of the city were slowly being worn down. They would not give up hope so soon, but they knew the outlook wasn't that good...

Valen: Well that sucked... Anytime now this city will be lowered into the burning pits of hell. I tried, I have no regrets.

He continued to fire his beam until he couldn't fire it anymore. He flew back down through the demons, slashing and slashing through as many demons as he could. They wouldn't stop coming. But he continued to slash, hoping something would go right for a change...

Karina had decapitated another demon, just after she had turned away she witnessed Valen attacking with his Crimson Judgement Beam. It was an incredible sight to behold. But she kept fighting with the demons in her area until she saw him come down. She knew it was time to meet up with the Eastern Guardian again. So she finished off the demon she had been combatting with, and made her way over to where she had seen him come down. She saw him going at it with a horde of demons, she jumped into the fray and tried her best to help. When the yells had calmed down for a moment she yelled at him and alerted him to her presance.

Karina: Told you id catch up!

It has. And it's Electro de Chocobo, not Chocobo de Electro. ;)
------

Simikiel unleashed Glory on a large horde of charging Demons. With his six pearly wings outstretched to their full span, massive eruptions of white lightning obliterated a mass of the Unholy beasts. Nothing impure survived the attack, and Demons were turned to dust with each strike. After decimating the Demon's forces with his powerful spell, Simikiel returned to the ground, to enjoy the thrill of battle with a sword.

As he landed, Demons backed away. They weren't as stupid as they looked. They recognised the power of the General of the Holy Legion. With a Sadistic Grin, Simikiel lunged Apragsin foward, through the torso of a nearby Demon. The Demon shrieked in horror, before his entire body was reduced to a smouldering pile of black ashes. The Apragsin was like a vaccine and antidote to the unholy plague. One by one, Demons fell to Simikiel and the Apragsin.

From behind him, the General of the Holy Legion heard a massive roar. Pivoting to face the sound, he found himself mere metres away from a Hell Knight. Often refered to as 'Knightmares' by the Holy Legion. A Hell Knight stood at roughly 14 feet, a cross between a Golem and a Demon. Molten lava ran through it's veins, which was visible through cracks in it's skin. They were armed with crude weapons, Maces, Claymores, Clubs and Axes, all formed in the massive forges of the Underworld.

The Hell Knight swung at Simikiel, who jumped backwards as the Hell Knight's morning star crashed into the ground, throwing dirt and stone upwards. The goliath Knightmare lumbered foward, swinging madly at Simikiel, often hitting demons on his own side. Powerful as they were, Hell Knights were mindless, stupid drones. Thankfully, the Hell Knight was focussed on Simikiel, and not the gates or walls of Jerusalem, which he could most likely crush with a few blows. Simikiel dodged another attack from the Knightmare, before finally taking action. With a swift upwards motion of his right forearm, a gigantic beam of holy light burst upwards from the ground beneath the Hell Knight. The pillars of light continued rapidly growing until it reached a good 70 metres into the air. Then, from the end of it, three more beams of energy shot out from it, each 30 metres long, forming a massive cross of light in the midst of the battle. The Hell Knight was obliterated instantly, even his ashes were totally erased from existence, along with any Demons unfortunate enough to be caught in the immediate area next to the cross. Grinning, Simikiel continued with the slaughter of the unholy beasts.

Sennen: Why are they just sending out their weak grunts to be massacred?... ... Is this a distraction?

Sennen blasted through a row of Demons and ascended into the sky as fast as he could, scanning the ground below him, his eyes scanning... He could see no sign of any type of strategetic trickery, but the monotonous swarm of lesser demons seemed somewhat strange for an assult on such a large key place.

From behind him, the sound of flapping wings suddenly came into earshot of Sennen, and he slowly turned to see squads of extreme large Major Demons flying at him with burning speed. They flew past Sennen, knocking him for a loop breifly.

Sennen: They're using the clouds.. and keeping their mana low enough.. Bullsh*t.

More squads flew past, the first squad descending one directly over the middle of the city, their sickening speed only increasing in their descent.

Sennen: They are extremely powerful.. Almost to Medra's base power..

Sennen teleported into the city quickly, glancing around where he had seen the demons land. His sword's aura danced upwards slowly, as a bead of sweat formed on his brow..

Sennen: They've gone into the shadows..

He turned quickly to the sound of footsteps, glancing down an alley silently. The only sound that he could hear now was the sound of the battle.. And the sound of his heart, beating abnormally fast in his chest..

Sennen: They're assassains...

By now, all the squads of demons were somewhere in the city, doing something. Something Sennen couldnt hear, nor see, nor detect through mana. It was like they were invisible...

Sennen charged backwards suddenly, his sharp blade ripping through the stomach of one of the demons, a harsh sharp gasp rushing out of it's mouth. It's blood slid down his blade slowly, some of it dripping onto the ground forming a small puddle.

Sennen: ... Where are your friends...

The demon choked a reply, and Sennen closed his eyes silently, removing his sword slowly to savor the moment, placing his hand on the demons shoulder to support him as soon as it was removed.

Sennen: ... Speak up.

Demon: ... Nefo...r...suk..

Sennen: Come on. You're supposed to be Elite...

Demon: ..Kiss My ***..

Sennen: ... Listen to my words... Where... are... your... friends....

Demon: ...

Sennen threw the Demon onto the floor, and picked up a nearby steel pipe, raising it into the air with one hand slowly... He hit the demon over and over with the pipe, the blood splattering onto his face, sliding down it slowly. He kept beating the bloodied head of the Demon in, finally stopping and slowly shaking his head in mock sympathy.

Sennen: ... Tsk ... Tsk ... Tsk ...

In one violent motion, he stabbed the demon in the heart, oozing blood contributing to the already generious deposit on the ground. Turning slowly, he picked up his blade, letting it drag on the ground as he walked..

Across the city, the other ShadowDemons were beginning to become the hunted, as Sennen began his mission to rid the Holy City of the invisible intruders..

OOC: Still hooked on the Electro de Chocobo!
--------------
IC: Ryan- "Go." The Zealots rushed past me. Straight forward into the battle. Some would die, but not half as many as the Angelics expected. They were equipped with Black Sapphire armour, much like the gauntlets I wore. All elemental attacks would be blocked from damaging them. I had been lucky that the Archangels beam had missed. He had caught me off gaurd. It wouldn't happen again. How good this would feel. The Holy City destroyed. A damaging blow this would be indeed. I smiled and took to the air. I was intent on teaching this Archangel a lesson.

Ryan- "Where are you..." The slippery Archangel blended well with the chaos below. An arrow to my left, arching at me. I caught it and dropped it. There he was. I folded my wings and dove. I pulled up and grabbed the Angelic by his wings. I heard a snap from one of them as I hauled him upward. He screamed and tried to slash at me. I grabbed his weapon and threw it away.
I flew for about three minutes, fending off his attacks as they came.

Valen- "Put me down! Demon scum!" I dropped him from five-hundred feet in the air. He fell to the ground attempting to keep aloft with one wing. His impact was slowed but not stopped. I heard another crunch as he landed on his other wing. I drifted down and landed beside him.

Ryan- "What is your name, angel?"

Valen- "Why should I tell you?"

Ryan- "Have it your way. I don't mind tourchering a nameless foe." I bent down and gripped one of his broken wings. I stepped on his neck with my foot. Slowly I drew my Loche Tao Blade, making sure he saw it and marked it. "This is you punishment for attempting to destroy me." I severed his wing from his body. He screamed, despite the foot on his throat. "Now I leave you. A one winged angel (;)). I know that sooner or later your wing will grow back, but not for a time. Now, if you make it back to your bretheren I hope that you have the sence to call them all off." I opened a portal and stepped in. I could still hear him sobbing as the portal closed behind me.

OOC:...Godmodder...

Tarlain leaned forward, her body pressing up against Medra's. Her lips tickled his ear as she whispered a message to him; she telepathically told him something that made him blush even more.

Tarlain: "Oh, don't worry..I won't bite... ...Much."

Medra stumbled backwards, tripping over his own feet. He fell flat on his ***, mumbling something about tree roots that weren't there. Tarlain giggled semi-innocently, which in turn embarrassed Medra even more.

Face color matching that of a ripe tomato, Medra slowly stood up, dusting his pants off. He shyly looked Tarlain in the eye for a half of a second, before his face turned back to it's normal, tanned, near-copper color. But he still inwardly was blushing, even though his face was one of determination.

Medra: "I am not afraid of anything. Never forget that, dragon."

Tarlain: "And what of love? What of attraction? What of kind heartedness?"

Medra: "..."

Tarlain: "I've been in your mind, Medra, and I know what you fear. You fear your more kinder side. You think love will make you weak, but you're wrong. It will only help you get through life easier. It will also provide you with something to fight for..."

Medra: "And what of pride? Does that not get me through the night? And rage...I have lived on that for eon after eon. It will substain my will to fight. If I am in a battle, and my enemy mocks me, will I not want to disembowl him even moreso?"

Tarlain: "But caring for others will get you, in return, allies that can help you in your time of need. Fighting with rage only blinds you."

Medra: "Then I've been blinded since the day I was created."

Tarlain: "Then I think you need to see the light."

Tarlain had just pushed the right button; Medra snapped instantly. His wings flaired outwards in a awesome display of demonic intensity. Lightning poured from the rain clouds above, striking him, small shockwaves eminatting outwards as his mana was released.

A small electric orb formed around his clentched left fist, and charged up greatly. It doubled in size and nearly tripiled in intensity. Sensing what Medra had in store, Tarlain acted quickly.

Weaving inbetween random lightning bolts, Tarlain wrapped both of her hands around Medra's face. She forcefully pressed her lips against his, as a silver aura enveloped her. The silver light focused around her lips, as a small explosion occoured.

Medra was sent hurling backwards, skidding along the ground with his face in the mud. The lightning storm quickly disappeared, and Medra's mana had mostly been drained in that single instant.

Tarlain's silver aura died away quickly, as she silently stalked towards Medra.

Tarlain: "I'm sorry, but you really need to learn to control that temper." :flaming:

Tarlain sat next to the crumpled form of Medra, and silently hummed a tune in her mind as she awaited for Medra to regain consciousness. It would prove to be a long wait, as it would take a very long time for Medra to be able to actually feel his legs; a colossal amount of mana had been zapped from him...

Karina watched as the new wave of dark warriors poured into the battle. Everytime she would injure or slaughter one, another would leap over its fallen comerade and take up the fight.

Karina: Oh this is just supurb! I kill one and 2 more take it's place!

She pulled away from the demon she had been fighting, and let another Archangel jump in to take up that battle. She now looked around for Valen. She could have sworn he had been nearby last time she had seen him, which had been just moments ago... Just before she had started fighting yet another demon, and had turned around for a moment. But now that she looked he was nowhere to be seen. She quickly scanned the skies above the city. Nothing.

Karina: Ok... how come I've got this feeling that somethings wrong.

She went over the possibilites of what might have happened, and started moving towards the high inner walls of the city.

Karina: No need to overreact here, he must have just moved to another part of the fight.

She still hurried along the outer edge of the battle, scanning the fray as she passed, and taking on anything that tried attacking her. She had a bad feeling that something terrible had happened, she hoped that it was only the tension of the fight that was causing this feeling to surface. The ground around her was stained with both red and black blood, blood of both angels and demons. She had gone along most of the remaining wall, but found nothing. The dreadful feeling still gnawed away at her, more deeper and deeply felt now.

Karina: Dammit where are you?! OK he's fine, I know he is... I'm going to find him... and then possibly beat myself up for my stupidity of doubting him later.

She was getting nothing accomplished there, the fighting had moved on, away from this area of the city. So she started walking back towards the fight, hopeing that he was still just back there, just kicking some major demon a$s, and that she was just overreacting because of some dark feeling of dread.

OOC: God modding... Tsk tsk, you shall be punished.

...But the portal didn't close. Not in time. The Fallen Angel thought he was all but safe, but sadly, he was mistaken. For just as Ryan turned his back to the closing portal, a gloved hand reached through, pulling the Dark Angel back through the warp, and throwing him sharply to the ground. Before he could move, a heavy black boot was pressed down on his chest, and the perfectly forged edge of a sword pressed against his throat. If any more force were applyed, it would easily cut the skin. Ryan struggled to make out who his assaulter was. Before he could, the figure spoke out, laughing at the grounded Ryan.

Simikiel: Haha... You bring true meaning to the term 'Fallen Angel', Ryan. What a pathetic sight you are.

Ryan: I suggest you remove your foot from my chest, Angel, or I shall remove it from your body.

Simikiel shifted his foot upwards, placing it on Ryan's neck. He pressed his sword slightly harder, drawing blood.

Simikiel: Silence, fool. What will you do? Set your 'lord' Satan on me?

Ryan: Haha... If Satan were released, you would be reduced to nothing in an instant.

Simikiel: Surely, you jest. Satan was no more than a meager Angel who fell from heaven. I was there when it happened, Ryan. Do not underestimate me.

Ryan: Haha... You're past your prime, Simikiel. You are no match for me.

Ryan's face etched a wry smile, and he felt for a black vial at his pocket. As he got a hold of the small glass tube, Simikiel thrusted the Apragsin through Ryan's wrist, and stepped down on his Neck. The Fallen Angel screamed in agony, and his forearm went limp.

Simikiel: What are you going to do, Ryan? Splash your lord's tainted blood on me? Get my nice Trenchcoat all dirty? I think not.

Ryan: You... will pay for this... Simikiel..

Simikiel: The Angel of Vengeance fears nothing!

As he shouted at Ryan, he picked the young demon up by the neck, and threw him up into the air. Ryan saw this as his chance. He attempted to regain his composure, reaching for a vial of Satan's blood with his good arm. However, his attempt at recovery was short lived. As Ryan fell back down in front of Simikiel, the General of the Holy Legion shot his fist out, cracking Ryan in the chest, and knocking him back hard into the portal, which closed behind him. Ryan fell flat on his face on the other side, battered and bloody. In Jerusalem, Simikiel grinned, and walked back towards the battlefield.
