Flash
Limp Bizcut? *thought it was Limp Bizkit* Well whatever. Korn? I can't see how you say they faded out, when they've just recently put out a new album. Slipknot have taken a hiatus, I know that Corey Taylor and some other members have formed 'Stone Sour', a metal band. They're gonna regroup sometime in the future. Limp Bizkit... Well, last I heard they'd lost their guitarist. No wonder they haven't put anything out in awhile! They're probably putting some new stuff together as we type--unless they haven't found a guitarist yet.. ><;
Semjaza
They did fade out in most people's eyes... mostly because they are no longer a MTV posterband. Same with Slipknot around Iowas release. I fail to see what their popularity has to do with any of it though heh. I never liked Limp Bizkit, just like I don't like most rap-rock-metal-whatever stuff. All that works for me in that aspect is Veroscene (local, broke up after a member died) and Mindless Self Indulgence. Two bands no one seems to care about anyway heh. Durst is a prick as it is. I've seen so much to make me hate the guy, I wonder how anyone can have respect for him. All his threats to Taproot; the bands supposed auditions for a new guitarist, where they basically got thousands of riffs for free (they made people sign off on whatever they played), and then didn't pick one person that auditioned, etc. I'd rather save my money for good bands that deserve it. Valen
I agree with Co... er.. Flash... Plus, one of the members of Korn went to form some hip hop band... or group or whatever... I'll have to dig out the flier they gave out at the concert later... And a singer that has kinda faded out is Marilyn Manson... besides his remakes of older songs, he's as good as dead... No offense to anyone who likes him... well, he hasn't fully faded... he's still doing concerts and stuff. Maybe LB will get them a new member and rock on! But for those of you who catch Much Music USA.... URANIUM FOREVER!
Fall
Blink 182 in my opinion haven't faded nearly as much as Limp Bizkit. Atleast in some of their songs you can understand the words. ....and, true to my heart, I have never heard of the band "Slipknot".
Semjaza
Manson hasn't put out a CD in two years, that doesn't make the band dead. The band only had a high point thanks to ACS and Sweet Dreams, otherwise all their record sales have pretty much floated below or around platinum somewhere. Manson was never had a multiplatinum LP in its entire history last I checked... Which is rather surprising considering how many people know who he is and could easily name a few songs. I know the band mostly thrives off concert sales though. It's mostly that radio and pop has moved past the style Manson, Korn, and these other bands go for. MTV doesn't care about it anymore, so neither does the general public. Neither Untouchables or Iowa did as well as was expected. It's just how the music industry is. It basically seems like most of these bands are just falling back slowly onto the fans they had in the first place, and are being stripped of all the people that clinged on for whatever reason. Not necessarily a bad thing if you ask me. Many bands end up that way. As for the hiphop album, that was Fieldy... And last I heard it was just a side project -- meaning he didn't leave Korn. BlueGender
I liked Limp Bizkit for a while until they started being fake, which was right before the end of there career. Fred and DJ Lethal began to get on my nerves,Fred got to caught up with the Christina Agulera thing and the fact that other bands "hated him",then there only cool member the guitarist left to persue a solo career which are a few of the reasons there band got old real fast. I still like a few of there songs Nookie,One of those Days, and the Method man and LB song are still some of my favorites.
Juu
All my guyfriends at my old school were nuts about these guys. I remember getting so sick of their songs playing on the radio. My friend would actually make fun of how lame some of the lyrics were. All my old guyfriends would talk about is how 'great' the band was and everything. Alot of their songs were kinda lame, even though one or two got stuck in my head a few times. ^^; And, Fred Durst really got on my nerves. Especially when he started that rumor about Christina Aguliera not too long after his Chocolate Starfish album came out.
vegeta rocker
I heard fred durst wasn't very happy that taproot refused to sign with his label. He left them a pissed off answering machine message which they play at concerts sometimes. Sounds like a desperate man to me.
SSJ_WILLIE
I think that Limp Bizkit is still awsome. Infact, I am not to found of there earlier stuff. Up til significant other came out, the only song of their that I liked is Faith.
Red
I liked Limp Bizkit, but only to a certain extent. My favourite track was "boiler", but only because I thought the whole dark theme of the song wasn't very like Limp Bizkit's style. Although now they will get asked the same question a billion times: "where's your guitarist?" Regardless of what they say, everyone still asks the same question, lol.
Bing
Wes Borland is now in a side prject called 'Big Dumb Face'. They aren't very good, but worth a listen. To me, Limp Bizkit died when they released 'New Old Songs'. 'Three Dollar Bill Y'all' and 'Significant Other' were amazing albums. 'Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water' seemed like an exact repeat of 'Significant Other'. 'New Old Songs' is just a boring collaboration of remixes featuring rapstars I have never heard of! On the topic of a new Limp guitarist, they WERE doing a tours, named 'Put Your Guitar Where Your Mouth Is', but I don't think they have found anyone yet. Fred Durst is looking for someone exactly like Wes, and I don't think he will find him/her. It was rumoured the ex-Kittie guitarist would join, but I think it may have just been a rumour. It's Fred fault anyway... Fred's record company, Flawless Records, has not been very successful, although they did have a big input in the uprising of Puddle Of Mudd. I think Fred got a record deal from one of the guys on the 'Put Your Guitar Where Your Mouth Is' tour! The cheek! Well, check out there website, to see anymore news on the Limp, though I don't think much is going on!
BigCajones
I liked Limp Bizkit too untill 'New Old Songs'! I thought they were a great band as you can see in my email address i have dalimpbizkitboy. Limp Bizkit even without Wes seem to be working on a new album scheduled for release on the 31st of March. It's called 'Less is More' and they're releasing it through Interscope. I hear that Korn guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch, Weezer's Rivers Cuomo, Ministry's Al Jourgensen and former Helmet frontman Page Hamilton have contributed guitar parts to the album. Although i critizise Limp Bizkit now, I will still probably buy it for the sake of it and if it's good then hooray for me! :D:demon:
vegeta rocker
Well Alexus_bing, he was in it before he even left Limp. I saw one of their videos. My friend has the cd. They aren't very good. The song i think is most annoying might be Duke Lion. I think thats the name.......
