To tell you the truth, I really didn't eat anything. You see, I told my Mom that the turkey could've been better for the fact that in Contemporary foods we had learned that placing seasonings, basting, and stuffing a turkey all do not help it. Seasonings don't help because they don't even penetrate the turkey, and they also only make it more dry. Basting doesn't do a thing because it doesn't penetrate the turkey, either. And stuffing it with stuffing only makes for bacteria to form inside, and only serves to dry the turkey even more. I tried to explain this to my Mom, but, of course, she took me as being rude. Then when we began eating, my Dad kept mocking me with what I had just said. "It could be better." So, I opted to leave the table after only eating a small portion of what I could have eaten. Darkness Posted December 3, 2002 Share Posted December 3, 2002 I enjoyed the break, because I've been burnt out for a few weeks now(college will do that to you sometimes). As for the actually day, it was alright. I ate way too much, and will pay for it in the gym later. A certain family member of mine was acting a little too rowdy, so I just sat in the other room and watched the trick shot competition on espn2. I would have rather just ate and left. I got to hang wit da homies and spend time with a special person in my life. It was great, except for the part where I busted a rib sledding down a hill. Unfortunately I didn't get the day off school as I live in the UK :(, and was forced to celebrated on the weekend. Semjaza Posted December 3, 2002 Share Posted December 3, 2002 Pretty boring. Only my aunt and uncle and their few kids came over (they're between like 1 and 5 years old). We had turkey and that, which I'm not really a fan of. It was good with barbecue sauce though. I spent most of the time drawing pictures with my aunt's daughter (I got a great picture from her out of it :)) and playing videogames with the older ones. I guess overall it wasn't that bad.
