I love worship songs. They're so easy to name.. if you can't think of anytihng good, use the first line of the song (people do this because worship songs are usually indexed by their first line, in songbooks).

So yeah..

There are lots of different types of worship songs, and they all tend to fall into two categories:

1- A song in praise of what God has done
2- A dialogue between God and the worshipper

This song is very much the second type, whereas all my previous ones have been the first. You can't really just sit down and write a song of this type.. it's the sort of thing that has to be inspired.

I'll make this easy to understand.. all the bold text, is where God is speaking, and the italic text is the worshipper's reply.. a'right?

Anyway.. let's get that song up
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I feel your suffering
I feel your pain
I feel your loneliness and shame
When you are lost
Here I'll always be
Ready to comfort you again

When I look upon
Your hopelessness
An icy blade cuts into my heart
And as my call
Is lost to you
In frustration my spirit weeps

Lord, I sing to you
Bring your healing now
Cleanse me of the pain again
Help me face what was
Embrace what is to come
And live in what is now, forever more

There is a light
One day it will shine again
I wait in faith for your return
And on that day
of re-lit flame
The heavens will rejoice again!

Lord, I sing to you
Bring your healing now
Cleanse me of the pain again
Help me face what was
Embrace what is to come
And live in what is now, forever more

Lord, I sing to you
Bring your healing now
Cleanse me of the pain again
Help me face what was
Embrace what is to come
And live in what is now, forever more

This worship song also comes with complemebtary midi file, for free. Thanks, Mike, for zipping it (this PC has no winzip.. heh)
