Sniglefager
I've always wondered what other peoples favorite games were, because I found it interesting hearing other peoples views. I'd also like you to tell me why you find that game to be your favorite, out of all other games, and what system it's for. My favorite game is Super Mario Brothers 3. The game had great graphics for its time. It was also fairly large, too. The gameplay was tight, all the power-ups, and music make this game great. If none of you have ever played this game, I suggest you buy an SNES, Super Mario All Stars, or wait until it's ported to Game Boy Advance. Or, if you don't have the money, you can download the ROM. Just remember, it's illegal and you have to delete it within 24 hours. In short, GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!
Semjaza
I cannot do this... It's impossible. I've gone as far as saying MP is the best game I've ever played. I really think it is, especially considering gaming as a whole hasn't interested me as much as it used to... That's why I find myself playing obscure "non-popular" games moreso than the main ones... I get enough about that from certain people here though. Metroid Prime is a big exception though, because for me it lived up to everything I hoped it would. It also helps that Metroid is probably my favorite Nintendo series (Earthbound is my favorite Nintendo game ever, but it's not really a series just yet). Otherwise, I've always loved Clash at Demonhead on the NES. No one really has played this game, but I'm not going to go on and on about why I love it heh. Spikey
Heh....the first time I saw this game I said "Naw, this won't be any good." Humph....guess I was wrong. I think Super Smash Bros. Melee is my favorite. It has amazing graphics. The gameplay, sheesh, just sweat. Pretty much everything about this game is great. It takes a very long time to beat, but I like a game that lasts. Also, you never get bored when your in a melee battle. Unless you have cheats, and you can kill people in one hit. But other wise it's amazingly fun. By the way, it's for the Nintendo Gamecube. I think that every one should get this game. It doesn't cost much, and it sure is worth buying. I'd have to give this game a 9/10. Just amazing. Turkey
I'd have to say Terranigma (SNES). For me, this was more than just a game. I actually got emotionally involved. I lived the damn thing! Gameplay wise, it was above average. Story wise, it blew away everything before it, and everything else I've played. I highly recomend it to everyone. Desbreko
*deletes a bunch of posts* Remember, people, you have to give reasons why a games or games are your favorite, not just a list. Otherwise, it's spam. And also, downloading any ROM is illegal, no matter how long you keep it for. Even if you delete it after only a minute, and without playing it, it's still illegal. The "24 hour rule" is completely made up. Anyway, my favorite game is The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, on the Super NES. I like it because it's long, decently hard, has lots of enemies and puzzles, and very complex dungeons. I also really like how the Light World and the Dark World are tied together, and puzzles will involve doing something in one world, and then warping to the other, where the effect of your action in the other world lets you complete the puzzle. In my opinion, there really isn't anything wrong with this game, that I can think of. One thing, though... I suspect that The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (on the Game Boy Advance) will top the original ZLTP, because ZFS includes a whole other multi-player game. I don't know yet, however, because I haven't played Four Swords.
Sniglefager
You know, I was just kidding about the ROMs. lol. I didn't think anyone would that whole thing. And yes, you are right, except for one thing: If you own the game, it's perfectly fine.
Desbreko
Just making sure people have the correct information. :) But actually, no, it's still illegal even if you have the real game. Here's a quote off of www.nintendo.com, from the FAQ about ROMs:
Can I Download a Nintendo ROM from the Internet if I Already Own the Authentic Game? There is a good deal of misinformation on the Internet regarding the backup/archival copy exception. It is not a "second copy" rule and is often mistakenly cited for the proposition that if you have one lawful copy of a copyrighted work, you are entitled to have a second copy of the copyrighted work even if that second copy is an infringing copy. The backup/archival copy exception is a very narrow limitation relating to a copy being made by the rightful owner of an authentic game to ensure he or she has one in the event of damage or destruction of the authentic. Therefore, whether you have an authentic game or not, or whether you have possession of a Nintendo ROM for a limited amount of time, i.e. 24 hours, it is illegal to download and play a Nintendo ROM from the Internet.

You are quite resourceful there, and none of you should download any ROMs, because think of all the hard worfk these people put into making these games. And, if they never sold anything, they would go out of business, and come on, I want to see more Mario and Zelda games. In short, don't use ROMs. Anyways, enough talk about these ROMs. I want to hear more about people's favorite games

Break
My favorite game would have to be Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This was the first time I had encountered a game in the Zelda series (I remember having a long go on LttP at someone's house when I was very young though) and I was absolutely gobsmacked. It was (and still is) the best game I have ever played and has yet to be replaced. It's my favorite because (visual wise) the game is absolutely amazing. Even the intro sequence, where you see Link galloping across Hyrule Field, impressed me and gave me a good taste of the game before I played it. Those big areas in the game (Hyrule Field, Lon Lon Ranch maybe and Lake Hylia) still manage to get little "whoa"s from inside my head, as I love just roaming around so much in a great looking 3D environment. I also find it (up to this day) very challenging indeed. I still haven't even completed it. I've just started playing it again after one of my friends had got me past Jabu Jabu's Belly (that is so confusing/hard!), and I am now (stuck)on the Forest Temple. This is one of those games that I will, after I eventually complete it, I would want to complete it over and over. :) A really really great game. Challenging. But very great indeed. 9/10 (I keep getting stuck!)
Guest Musahi
Oh, god.....this question is pretty much impossible. I shall try to narrow it down a bit though. The List: First I think that Tekken 4 has had the majority of my time lately. I have been heading up to the arcade almost everyday this week. I don't know what I like about it, it's just awesome. I have been working on my juggles alot as well. With how much money I have put into the machine at the movies, I probably could have bought the game by now. Next would most likely be StarCraft: Brood War, once again a game I don't have. I have been heading over to my friends house alot to play it on battle.net, I am not that good but when I get it on christmas everybody beware. :) Third is Mario 3 for the NES, god I AM IN LOVE with this game. Frog suit......I have spoken Last would be, Devil May Cry. I have been working on beating it on what I beleive is call Dante Must Die mode. Many people found this game too easy, but I just can't get a hang of it. Yet, I still love playing it. :)
Fall
Worms 2 for the PC. And Worms: Armageddon Reinforcements for the Sony. They're pretty much the same game, just a few changes here and there. There's really no reason why I like it, just that it's the best game I've played for a long while....just love the whole idea of the game.
stratigyless
my favorite is sonic adventure 2 battle because the game has 2 different endings and they have cool charecters and a few rejects in it cough *tail robotnic* cough but the ending really stinks though and some of the missions are pretty tough
Syk3
My favorite game...of all time? Wow...that'll be hard to choose. I want to say Metal Gear Solid 2, but it's probably just because I beat it a few times. >.> Multiplayer games would deffinitly be Super Smash Bro Melee, no coubt about that. Perhaps Perfect Dark? I dunno, maybe Vice City; so much freedom. As you can see, I don't have a definite decision; it's really a tough call to make.

Guest Super Mario 64
Super Mario or Super Metroid If you're going to reply to this sort of thread (one asking what your favorite whatever is), please give some reasons for your choice(s). Otherwise it's rather pointless, and considered spam. Thanks. - Desbreko
SS5 Gogeta
You guys might think I'm strange but mine is Sonic 3 and Knuckles because I just love the level design and the speed and especially the boss battle.
Sniglefager
I don't think you're strange. The Genesis Sonic games gave me some great memories. I like Sonic 2 more, but when I first got Sonic 3, I was in heaven. And when I got Sonic and Knuckles, I loved it even more, considering back then, Knuckles was my favorite charecter. The level design in every Sonic game is great, too.
