Yoda
Eomer had called them all to Edoras, and they sat in the great hall. Eomer was upon a grand seat at the head of the room. His guests, and there were many, sat in a semi-circle around him, on fine wooden chairs with scarlet cushions. Only one stood, a giant creature that came to this meeting only because his land was in danger. This creature, eldest of all living things, was the Ent; Treebeard. They were silent, even Eomer was uneasy. He was old now, very old, but he was wise and caring. His people, and the people of Gondor both adored him, and so it hurt him greatly to see his people troubled. Taking a deep breath, he stood, and surveyed the audience that surrounded him. For a moment, his gaze rested upon Valygar, the young prince of Gondor. He was staring with concern at the floor beneath his feet, deep in thought. Eomer took a step forward, and clasped onto his belt with both hands. Again he took a deep breath as he began to speak. Eomer: Friends... now the time has come. We have no choice, but to commit ourselves to the destruction of these creatures of fire. I am prepared, if I must, to send my people out to War. If only it were that simple... We must formulate a plan. Elsyan, a high elf, and very beautiful in appearence, stood, and Eomer beckoned her to speak. Elsyan: One of the Uruloki rests still within Moria. The other servant... Master Treebeard has told us, has taken home in the Fangorn. The leader remains still within Mordor. We have many men... but still, we face dragons. These dragons are mighty, they are intelligent, and they are cunning. Somehow, we must single them out, and eliminate them. Now, the young prince, Valygar, stood. Everyone in the room who had beheld King Elessar before his death, immediately recognised the significant similarity between them. However, Valgyar, in his eyes, still retained the innocence and youth of a child. He took a step forward, the sword Anduril at his side, as always... since his father's passing. Valygar: My people live in fear... the White City is in ruin... and I cannot take anymore. I have journeyed long and far with my two closest friends, Strider and Seifer, and I shall take these two, and any others who shall follow me, and attack the mines of Moria. They are filled with goblins, orcs, and that damned creature from Mordor. The journey shall be perilous, but I am prepared for it. Eomer: Thank you, my young friend. My scouts have informed me that a huge party of goblins lies in wait outside Moria gates at night... you shall have to fight your way through them to get in. They are estimated at over 1,500 strong. Valygar: Then I need an army of only 1,000... but they must be strong and fearless. Will any of you go with me into Moria? There was silence for a moment, as Valygar and Eomer glanced hopefully over the room. Soon, one elf, who had not been very noticeable before, stepped forward, standing next to Valygar. Valygar looked at the elf with quiet respect, and the elf stared back, silently, then spoke. Cael: I will fight with you, Valygar half-elven. Valygar: Thank you. Elsyan: As will I. One by one, members of parties started to rise and walk into the centre of the circle. Eventually, a group of 11 men and women, either elves or men, stood together. Valygar, Strider, Seifer, Gurthang, Elsyan, Valen, Tarlain the Drow, Talgaia, Cael, Laitina and a mysterious figure Krimlorn. Eomer stood before them proudly, as Elrond had done with the Fellowship of the Ring years before... Eomer: I will send a company of 500 men with you. Valygar: And I shall bring 500 men also. They are camped only a few miles outside of here... we came prepared to fight. Prepare yourselves friends, we leave at dawn. To Moria! Raiha
As the grave company stood, there was a sound of running feet and yelling... Before the disturbance could be investigated, the doors burst open and a servant came runing in, eyes wide with fear. Eomer: What is this? Servant: Orcs coming.... Tarlain's eyelids flickered and her hand dropped to her sword.... Would they dare make such an attempt to conquer this place? Hardly. She stepped forward. Tarlain: May I go to meet these? Valygar: Alone? Tarlain: Yes.
Mitch
Gurthang: Alone, my fair maiden? Hah, you shall die on the stake. I shall go with you. Tarlain: If it must be so. Gurthang quickly walked over to his father, Eomer, and bade him good leave. He then returned to Tarlain, and escorted her.
Raiha
She chuckled to herself.....fair maiden? That was a new one. The two silently walkled out....the Uruks were not many....only a score. Gurthang: Is this an attack or a scouting party? Tarlain: They're not wearing iron shoes....stealth would obviously be what they hoped for. Gurthang: But now.... She drew her sword with a loud metallic ring. The light in her eyes reflected on the rune covered blade....Tarlain smiled. Tarlain: They will taste steel.
Raquel
Siren had crouched in the shadows, raptly at attention as the council took place... She smiled... What better way to dispose of the young Lord then to seal his fate in Moria... She decided to make an entrance and slipped out, returning to burst through the doors, schooling her face to appear haggard and worn as would one who has been traveling hard... She fell to her knee in front of Eomer... Siren: My lord... My apologies for my late arrival, I had troubles crossing the northern fringe of the Blue Mountains? Goblins still dwell in their holes I fear? I wish to join you on your quest? Siren remained kneeling, her head bowed as she pumped breath into her lungs, keeping up the illusion... Orien_Xel
OOC: Is there a reason my character is not at the Council? Am I not allowed in this RPG? IC: A young man enters the chamber and bows before the various lords. "Greetings. I am Dranor, a soldier of Gondor. Mitch
Gurthang: They will taste mine blade as well. He withdrew his sword, Gurthang. They then approached the group of Orcs, and Tarlain quickly ran ahead of Gurthang, entering the fray. Gurthang stopped, surprised. Gurthang: But, you shall die! Let a man do a man's job! She only turned and looked up from the Orc she had slain and made a smirk.
Juu
Laitina looked out to the castle, awoken by hoofsteps and men yelling orders. The curtains fluttered by the light breeze, the endless sea of diamonds blanketing the sky. The men held their horses steady, along with a few others. Elsyan, a familiar woman from the council... But what were they up to? It was far too late for a midnight walk, yet too early for a morning stroll as well. She turned around, and faced an older woman sleeping on a bed, on the opposite side of hers. "Aerine" She whispered, shaking the woman's arm. "Aerine." She whispered once again. The woman's eyes rolled open, still tired from the night before. "What is it?" She asked, rolling over. "There are men outside. Where are they going?" Laitina said, tugging on the woman's arm once more. The woman's eyes opened, and her eyes squinted, as if she was thinking. She smiled slighly as an idea came back to her. "Ah yes... you missed the randevous this morning." Aerine stated, grinning at her. "After all the-" "Where are they going???" She asked once more, her eyes growing wide. "Mordor. Some battle, I don't think it was that impor-" "Mordor!?" Laitina leaped to her feet, and to the chestnut wardrobe where they had kept all thier important items. She pulled out a chest, with heiroglyphics inserted onto the wood. Pulling the vials out of their sockets, Laitina placed each of them into a small pocket in a bag, sorting the red with the red, gold with the gold. Each of them were about the size of her smallest finger, although they could each do wonderful things... All six went into her bag, leaving three more in the chest. As Laitina approached the door, Aerine stopped her, and handed her two steel objects, wrapped in a cloth. "You can't leave without these. You'll need them along the way." Aerine said, handing the objects to her. Laitina smiled, and flung her arms around Aerine, smiling. "I'll miss you. After all, you are my baby sister and all." Aerine said, smiling. "I'll miss you too. Just try not to get into too much trouble while I'm gone." Laitina replied, wiping a tear from her eye. "Better be off then." Laitina smiled back at her sister, as she leaped onto her horse, her clothes beaming in the moonlight. She leaned over, and whispered to her white stallion. The stallion neighed, and began trotting by the bay, its mane glistening with the stars. Laitina waved to her sister, keeping her bag close to her. She unraveled the cloth from the objects, and kept them close to her heart. It was a pair of sai... embrodered with saphirres... Laitina could now hear the baying of the horses in the distance. They hadn't left yet after all...
Juu
Laitina sighed in relief as she saw about six people waiting at the gate, perhaps for more people or soldiers. After all, Aerine did say battle. She waved her fingers above the stallion's head, as the horse slowed to a trot. "You're late." Elsyan said, turning her horse to face Laitina. "You did not arrive at the castle yesterday. Busy lately?" Laitina nodded, and pulled out a small gem from her bag. "I found this. It belonged to a bird of some sort." She said, placing the gem in Elsyan's hand. "It's from the White Mountains." Elsyan studied it in her hand, tracing every dent with her fingers. "Was it by the shore?" Elsyan asked, placing the gem back in Laitina's hand. "Yes." Elsyan nodded, and turned around. Laitina followed her closely, holding her gem close to her. "How did you know?" Elsyan turned around once more, and put a hand on her shoulder. "There's been strange birds settling along the shore." She replied. "Ravens." Laitina's eyes grew thin as she peered at Elsyan's worried expression. "From the Ash Mountains?" "Probably." ---------- OOC: Okies, here's what Laitina sorta looks like, except she has blond hair, much, much paler skin, and a silver version of that outfit. ^_^;; Edit: mkay... someone deleted their post. o_o; I didn't double post. ^^;;
Raiha
He stared. Clearly, he had not expected to meet a She-Drow who was both bloodthirsty and a warrior. She smiled and twisted her blade around, remembering her traning. Tarlain: Power of Earth, Supporter of Life, Bend unto my will. Her eyes flared white, then back to amber. Valen
A young elf with the Isis Dagger on his belt with a crossbow and quiver across his back, wearing mostly black stood from his seat. He glared at the council, like they could easily send more troops. Valen: I can sacrifice two thousand... Easily. If you need more, I have more. How's that? His eyes went crimson as he sat back down. The council looked at him as if he was crazy. Nobody would willingly send out that many troops into a war... Not unless they had a plan...
Yoda
Tigervx, I said I wanted 1,000 troops for a reason. It's no good if we go into the battle on even terms with the enemy... what kind of challenge is that? What you did is Godmodding, and I would approeciate, therefore, if it didn't happen again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Valygar stod outside the hall's of Eomer. Is it possible... could these dragons possibly have attained control over the dark things in the world? Seifer stood next to him, looking out into the night. Strider had gone to get some food. Seifer: Do you think these dragons can be defeated? Valygar: Any enemy can be defeated... we just have to find a way. Seifer: Will the threat of Sauron ever die? Valygar: I'm sure the orcs are saying the same thing about us my friend.
Gohan
Krimlorn was looking for Valygar. He walked towards the halls of Eomer and saw Valygar and Seifer, both in deep conversation. He heard footsteps behind him and turned around to see the one known as Strider, coming towards him. Strider: Hello my friend. I see you are looking to talk to Valygar as am I. And i trust yor purpose is the same as my own. Krimlorn: I am wondering what the plan is for the defeat of these dragons is. Strider: As am I. I'm sure Valygar is willing to discuss this matter with us. The two walked towards Seifer and Valygar. As they approached Valygar and Seifer broke from their conversation as they noticed Krimlorn and Strider coming towards them. They gave their acknowledgements.
