Hello people!
I was sat here at my desk, playing my Metal Gear Solid : Special Missions game, and I was wondering if any of you had copies? This game is a pretty challenging, and has it's good and bad points. What do any other owners think of it?

Yeah! The ones where you had to find out who murdered the guard? They were funny. I have completed around 80% of it. MGS Substance looks cool, especially the 'Snake Tales'! I am looking forward to buying that on *X Box*.
So NeoC, did you actually complete it, 100%? I really want to play as Ninja! He look so cool ^_^; can you use his HF blade?

I was with NeoC, and yes, we finished most of it. I can't remember if we did it all though, but we did get to play as the Ninja. Don't get your hopes up, though, he's not as good as I thought he'd be. Basically, his Stealth and 'Electric Shock' moves take up his energy/life bar, and it's really short.. (Think Snake at the beginning of the game).

He's still pretty fun to use though, I guess. :)

Oh...still...he is fun! I find some of it really hard, especially the timed missions, because you have to rush, and you make mistakes. I like 'Advanced Modes', because you actually get the kill the guards, not hide from them. Can you remember playing the 'C4 mode' under Advanced category. Ah, sneaking up behind guards, planting a nice wedge of c4 on all of their backs, then walking away, and tapping O a few times...ah, how fun ^_^;

Hmm I've played this about twice and found it indeed quite interesting. Although I witnessed a glitch that was something to say the least... mad. I was running along in the enclosed space of a very beginning mission where you have to eliminate 4 guards, but all of a sudden a guard walked into the wall and like had his head sticking right into me, and it said Game over! I dont have a clue why. I think its a great act of the producers as it brings back the practic of stealth and skills. Personally, I think it was a cover up thinking it would satisfy the people so then they could work on a 'movie' based game.

Zidane, Was that a demo? I haven't experienced a single glitch so far. O.k, I just unlocked Ninja, and his isn't very good...not what I expected at all! Guess you were right NeoC!
SSJ_WILLIE, no sorry, there is no such game as MGS:SM for the PSX, we are all just making it up, to fool you:p *cuts the sarcasm* It's basically just LOADS of VR missions, all providing alot o fun, and experience. After completing 65% of the Special Missions, I could whizz through the original!
*whizzes off*

Ok, What is this? There is a Metal gear solid special missions game? I didn't know that. Is it for the ps2? My favorite game is mgs. I've never even heard of mgs sm. Is it like VR missions for the original Playstation?
First of all you must be pretty clueless in seeing that you missed the sequal to your favorite game. MGS is for the ps and MGS2 is for playstation 2. After MGS2 they made a MGS2 SM which is sort of like vr missions except it's for MGS2. Now there making a new game which has more gameplay and modes but it is the same story as MGS2. I know it sounds confusing but it really isn't.:wigout:

MGS2: Substance isnt a sequel to MGS2, its just a remake, theres no difference in the story, Konami have just added VR Missions and extra stuff like that to hide the fact that MGS2 was a failure.
MGS2 started off good but Raiden's part just plain sucked, the whole arsenal gear was the dumbest thing I've ever seen, it ruined what could of been a brilliant game.
The Tanker part of the game was so much fun, but as soon as I got to Raidens part all I wanted to do was turn my ps2 off, it just seemed too rushed, and there was way too many Metal Gears at the end of the game, it was stupid.

I think Raiden was a really bad character. Too shallow, too athletic for espionage and too poncy to be a war hero. Snake has something about him, that screams 'deprived war hero', and I am glad that you get to play with his character on Substance, especially the Snake Tales. I can't wait for it, and I hope it is exactly like Special Missions, becuase that was so challenging and entertaining
