Guest cloricus
This thread is on what you think about the story line, not what happens in the movie. --- We I first heard about 007-DAD I also heard that they were going to do the whole equality thing. Now no offence but I've seen this ruin so many movies. Though when I saw bond yesterday it was so well done I was shocked, it's the best story line for along time. The graphics are unbelievable. In a good way that is. The destroying of beautiful cars... Would have to be to down side. They have innovated or updated the whole idea of a bond movie, BUT they haven't changed it or stuffed it up. It is still unmistakeably a bond movie but with out the plot being reasonable easy to pick. There are so many things they have made better. One thing that Raven in fact said was to many one lines and I think there were a few to many. So what do you think about the plot, new approach, story line and just the whole thing? I would recommend any one who likes bond, and even people who don?t like bond to see this one. If you do want to talk about the movie and say things that happen in it please use the
Tags, thank you. :P
The Harlequin
Actually, I thought it was the worst Bond movie Pierce Brosnan(whatever his name is) has ever done. It was corny, overdone to the nth degree, completely lacking in subtely, and food for the paranoid. The storyline wasn't all that interesting, and wasn't even an original idea. It relied too much upon five second surprises, which gives it the illusion of being fast paced. Most of the others Bond storylines have also been quite dodgy, I'll admit, but this one was far more cliche. The graphics, I'll admit, were good, which was the movies only good point. Guest cloricus
Harlequin's view on the movie is from the perspective of some one who doesn't like any thing especially a movie and/or social gathering, the same with Raven and Newt will just give the same answer as those two have given so in all truth disregard their posts. And Harlequin I have asked many times for you not to post in threads I start, if you could please do this. Thank you.
Yu Yu Hakusho!
My parents are going to see it this weekend. That's all I know. But I heard from a magazine that James isn't going to drink his martinis like usual. They made him drink mineral water to be poltically correct, from what the magazine said. But I don't beleive until I see.

Semjaza
I got to watch it a day or two ago, and I wasn't impressed. However, this opinion is rather biased because I really do not like Pierce Brosnan on Bond at all. I don't think he is charming whatsoever, I prefered him in Remington Steele. I basicallly decided this wasn't worth my time when I say a commercial where Halle goes "your mama." Who the hell says that anymore? It feels like a forced in stereotypical black phrase that was added in by a panel of 50 year old white guys who thought it would sound cool. My opinion of course. I'm not really big on them ditching the risque girl names and trying to make the movie more PG than it is. Wasn't this whole equality idea done in that one Bond movie with the one asian actress as the girl? I forget her name, but it's simliar. The action and stuff was good as always, but it just feels off to me with Pierce... And I'm not like a huge Moore or Connery fan or anything either. Sephiroth
Am I the only person who liked the new Bond film? O_o;;;
Darkness
No, I liked the movie too. I actually enjoyed it more than I have the other recent bond movies. The whole not drinking thing is pretty lame though. But I'm a big sucker forsword fighting and there was enough to keep me happy. I think that if they take something out, they should add something extra.
DuoMax
I liked parts of it.
Syk3
DuoMax, please try to stay on topic and don't SPAM. Thanks. I really liked the movie, but if that was all I was going to say, I might as well have put it in my old thread about "Die Another Day." I think this is the best plot in a Bond movie since Goldeneye. It was action-packed, as are all Bond movies, but it had a taste of unpredictability. I really couldn't believe all of plot twists in that movie, making it all for the better. I was very happy with the result of this entire plot. Let's hope they can keep it up in future titles...
TheShinje
We haven't got die another day here in new zealand yet, but I will be definately seeing it, And about the equality thing, they should keep Bon the way he has always been. He should continue to drink martinis, because that's his drink. I expect it to be really good seen as a fellow kiwi directo Lee Tamahori is directing it :p . Surely if you ask what people thought of the film, you should expect a few people to hate it, so what if he hates alot of things? Also, I don't think it's a good idea to stop people (or try to, to no avail obviously) posting in your threads because of a difference of opinion. Anyway, that's my opinion
SaiyanPrincessX
I thought it was good, the best Bond movie in my opinion. The storyline was good but got kind of confusing at points. I heard that this is Peirce Brosnan's last Bond movie. I'm not sure if its true but that would be a dissapointment because I think he plays a good Bond. It'll be hard to find a replacement. Juu
Well, I thought it was okay. I saw it a few weeks ago, so I don't really remember much. That little debate they're having about the movie in Korea is a little awkward, but then again, I can see why they don't like it. Alot of my cousins there liked the James Bond movies, but they don't think it's right how the American/British Intellegence just steps in and make it seem as if the South Koreans didn't care that their border was being attacked by some giant satellite. @_@; I felt pretty weird watching the British fight and the Koreans not on their own country. It's a little strange, don't you think? The stunts were pretty predictable, even though the car scene was awesome. ^_-
