Lalia walked beside Drake once again, grinning to herself. She tried not to get cocky about it, but she was inwardly very pleased with herself. She had just helped Drake out, proving that she wasn't just a little girl. She had some bite, too. She could hold her own out here in the real world.

Or so she hoped.

Kiln and Ami were walking behind Lalia and Drake, arguing about something. Ever since Kiln's collapse, Ami hadn't let him have any relief. She was convinced that he was a "mama's boy" and that he didn't have what it took to be out here on this quest. Lalia did what she could to stay away from her. She didn't want to get on Ami's bad side.

She looked over at Drake who was being quiet. He seemed almost embarrassed that he had been saved by a girl. Lalia felt like slapping herself. Ah, I feel so stupid, she thought, that was a mistake on my part...girls aren't supposed to prove themselves like that to boys! They are supposed to be gentle and innocent creatures, like my mother was...

She looked over at Drake once more.

Lalia: Drake, I'm sorry if I....embarrassed you back there...

Kiln continued his argument with Ami, who was persistant on telling him to take himself back to Kakariko village.
Xian watched intently, letting out the occassional giggle. Eventually Kiln and Ami just stopped arguing, both realising that one was not going to overcome the other.

Kiln embedded himself in heavy thought, he had been distracted by that Wolfos, but now he was able to think hard.

What were those visions? They were certainly more than dreams.. why would they just suddenly come out of nowhere.. they must be linked to this quest somehow.

Kiln looked up to see Drake with a stern look on his face and Lalia looking worried. Ami had caught up with the pair and Kiln was walking behind with Xian buzzing around his head.

Wish someone loved me that much. Ah well, I've always got my friends.

Kiln was interrupted by his usual wake up call; Xian.

Xian: Hey! HEY! Fairy to Kiln! Wake up, we gotta catch up with the others or else they won't remember who we are.

Kiln: Very funny Xian, race ya.

Kiln and Xian ran all the way back into the group, and listened in on the conversation taking place.

Drake: Heh, I don't see any shame in being rescued by a girl. And you're not just any girl, either.

Drake gave her another one of his wide grins before continuing.

Drake: And besides, being a little embarassed is better than being dead any day. So don't worry about it.

And besides, Kiln will need saving sooner or later, and two out of the other three people are girls. Drake wondered how Kiln would react, were he to be saved by Lalia. Probably see if he couldn't make me jealous of the attention, heh.

The group walked on a ways farther, until they came to a small lake. By that time, it was nearing noon, and the sun was starting to feel just a bit warm. Around the edges of the lake was thick, green grass; something that they had not seen outside of Kakariko Village before.

The group stopped in front of the lake, looking down at the water, reflecting the crisp blue of the sky above. It was one of the few pools that stayed clean, and suitable for drinking from. Down at the very deepest point, Drake thought he saw a darker blue light shining up from the bottom, coming in a slow, rythmic pattern. Weird. I wonder what it could be.

Drake: This looks like a good place to take a break. How 'bout it?

Two travelers slinking down a winding road unfettered by the restrictive boundaries of man, wondered if they would slip off the edge of the earth. The forest twisted and turned, crooked like an elbow. Raw foliage wrapped itself around their feet, clung to their ankles. Ancient trees reached for them desperately with slender, bony fingers.

The Lost Forest was much like an old city, a crumbled empire. It was overcrowded, an outdated relic no longer valued by the world. Plants elbowed and pushed one another, struggling for breathing room. Bunched together, they produced a pungent odor. The sky was no longer visible. Nature barricaded itself against itself, shut the rest of the world out.

Samantha stalked about, tip-toeing, a predator, an intruder. Every step brought about a crackle. Twigs snapped beneath her feet like spines. Her teeth chattered incessantly, reminding her just how cold the forest was becoming. It was cold--so cold. Sam's skin began to turn sickly shades of pink and blue. Nightfall must be near. She panted wafts of steamy oxygen.

Frogs in bogs stopped chirping and crickets no longer sang. They had retreated to the sanctity of nearby nooks and crannies, wrinkles in the land. The crunching of twigs was replaced by the "glop, glop" of soggy mud, brown slush.

"This place sure looks familiar," Sam whispered to June, who was now perched on her shoulder like a watchful parrot.

June, rubbing her own shoulders feverishly, replied flatly "That's because we're going around in circles."

"Oh," Sam replied distantly. She paused for a moment, her nose wrinkled with confusion.

"This place sure is strange. I wonder why they don't have signs or something."

June's face grew flushed with anger.

If there were signs," she muttered, "It wouldn't be called the Lost Forest!"

Sam chuckled inwardly as June pumped her fists in the air furiously, exploding like a small volcano. It had been a long day for them both.

"Well, I think this whole 'lost forest' thing is way overrated," the young Kokirian pouted, "because we found it. Didn't we? It can't be so lost.

June folded her arms and grumbled (-_-), while Sam beamed with pride (^_^)

Meanwhile, a native of the forest watched intently. A pair of yellow eyes pierced the darkness, a glowing flame. Little did the two adventurers know, that they had wandered into wolf territory....

Heh... long it has been. >_< Much reading have I done.
-------------------------------------------
Finally, Voleur came to a violent, rough landing outside of Skull Woods. The bones in her rankles rattled with a sudden pain coming in such forecful impact with the ground. Her face winced in pain as she fell back onto the ground in a sitting position. She held her ankles as she layed her head down on her knees, waiting for the pain to subside. Voleur waited patiently for a few minutes, then finally her ankles felt better, and she rose to her feet cautiously.

Voleur now felt she could fully enjoy her renewed freedom from Skull Woods. She took in a deep breath of air as a slight smile broke across her face. The putridness in the air did not bother her one bit. Anything seemed to be better than being lost in Skull Woods some more. Still, she hated this world, and everything about it. As she let out a sigh of content, she noticed a run-down house not far off to her left. The wood was dark and warped, and the windows were all boarded shut. Slowly, she approached it. Something could be in there... Or some things she could use might be in there was well. Is it empty of any life? That question could only make her steps heavier. In paranoia, Voleur unsheathed on of her scimitars still approaching the house. When she came within several paces of it, she could her a slight, and miniscule sound of metallic scratching, as if slidelocks were being put in place... or undone. This could only but halt her approach. as she just watched anxiously for any further action besides this sound. It was apparent through many other metallic sounds that an array of locks existed on the other side of the door, but soon enough the noise came to fade, and there was an eerie silence for a few moments. The door handle screeched as it slowly turned. Something was coming out. Voleur prepared her scimitar for possible battle, keeping her free hand just above her other blade. The handle stopped turning, and there was a pause. Just as slowly as everything else had happened, the door began to open. It only opened until a crack large enough to fit a person through was made. Down low, a gangly and fierce creature emerged from the darkness. It was horribly decayed, but still very much alive. She recognized the monster as they also existed in her original home, the Light World. It was a Wolfos... only dead, in an alive sort of way. I stalked out of the threshold as Voleur made a tight grip on her sheathed scimitar, but before she could remove it she noticed that the Wolfos had a chain around its neck that led into the house... It was captive. Like a pet. A dry, old, almost demonic, feminine voice from inside the home startled Voleur.

---: You may put your blade away. Mortus here will not harm you... unless I give the command. I promise I shall not, as long as you have no intent of harming me.

It seemed friendly enough... and Voleur did not feel like a fight anyway. Especially after her rough landing. She released her grip on her sheathed scimitar and was about to place her other back at her side when she stopped...

Voleur: How do I know that you are not armed and ready yourself, and are merely trying to get me offguard?

A silence overtook the air. A moment later, a pair of pale-grey, boney hands came through the darkness into the Voleur's sight.

Voleur: Very well.

Voleur placed her blade back at her side, and spoke once more.

Voleur: You live here, by yourself?

The hands remained out. This was intentional, it constantly let Voleur know the mysterious figure was not trying anything.

---: Not alone, dear. Mortus provides some entertainment. Though, I guess you could say I have lived alone, just as you have in your shelter deep in those woods. Out of the reach of interaction with another being competent of similar speech so one may have the pleasure to interact with another. I must say that this is my first encounter in many, many years. Much longer than the four years you have been here. Yes... much longer.

A wave a fear pulsated through Voleur's body. How had this person known about her shelter? And the exact time she had been in this world? How did it know?

Voleur: Excuse me... but do you have a name?

Another pause of silence.

---: Name... A name is such a burden. I do not have a name, but if you must address me by something, call me Nameless, I suppose.

Voleur: Very well, Nameless. Why is it that you speak to me? Why did you just not keep your home locked and let me pass by at no chance of getting in?

Nameless: It has been much time since I, and yourself, have interacted with another person. I figured I would seize this opportunity for my sake, and your own. It could do us both some good.

There was more silence as Voleur listened to all that Nameless had to say. A chilling breeze blew past as the Magic Cape billowed in waves and came to settle once more.

Nameless: Would you like to come in...?

Voleur could not see why not. Everything seemed safe. She certainly would be aware by now if Nameless meant to attack. The only real threat here was the deteriorating Wolfos, which seemed helplessly bound to the chain. Voleur silently nodded, and paced to the house no longer afraid. As she approached the door, it opened for her as the hands went back into the darkness. There were absolutely no lights, except for that of which was came through the open doorway. A glow came from within as a candle was lit. Then, to Voleur's shock, many candles through the room instantly glowed with the same flame. The dark, almost silhuoetted Nameless stood in the middle of it all, a table in the midst of the room. Two chairs pulled out. Two small mugs at each end of the table. A large, clay pitcher full of water. Nameless was cloaked. A dark, brown, hooded robe covered nearly every inch of the body, except the hands. Nameless, by her voice was assumed to be a woman, and she took a seat in the far chair as she made a gesture with one hand for Voleur to seat herself in the other. Voleur did so. Namless poured water into both mugs. The water was surprisingly clear, and fresh. Voleur nealy began to drool as she had not had such leisure in all her time here in the Dark World, but she stopped herself. Nameless set the pitcher and took a sip from her water. Voleur eagerly took a drink. Bliss. Pure bliss.

Voleur: How could you possibly find such fresh water in such a perverted place?

Nameless: It is a trick I have learned to apply to the water in this land of my ages here. How it is done is of no importance to you, you are not going to be here much longer.

Another eerie silence filled the gaps between the uneasy tension that Voleur was emitting. Nameless seemed to this omnipotent figure of Voleur's existence, which made Voleur shift in her seat.

Voleur: What do you mean... "you are not going to be here much longer"?

Nameless took another sip of the water, and set the mug down once more as she waited moment.

Nameless: He does have control over what goes in... and what goes out. Or at least, he used to...

Voleur scooted to the edge of her seat as she leaned over on the table taking another drink of the precious water.

Voleur: Who?

There was another moment of silence, but it was not so frightening this time. The air was full of interest, and curiosity. It was the kind of silence that let Voleur know that Nameless had a pleased smile on her face under the shadow of that hood.

Nameless: ... Ganondorf.

The mere mention of that name awoke a spine-tingling shiver in Voleur. She had heard many legends of this man. The only Gerudo man in ancient history. Though, she had heard rumors of their being another. No creautre could be half as evil as the dreaded Ganondorf. Her people had once praised him as this godly thing, but he was soon to turn on them in greed and power. He left them in shambles, and his attacks on the her world at the time had their vile effect on her kind... Voleur snapped out of this train of thought, noticing that Nameless had kept silent the whole time. Awaiting Voleur's attention once more... as if she understood was Voleur was thinking.

Nameless: With the defeat of the Legendary Hero, Ganondorf was able to access passage between both the Light and Dark world. At first, he was able to control these portals that would lead him to and fro, and back again. It was not long before this began to become out of his control. Slowly at first, but, as all things of this sort, it began to snowball. Portals began opening at random just waiting for any person or creature to pass through it and bring it to the opposite world. It was through these portals that those creatures that attacked your people emerged from...

Voleur's hands began to tremble as memories of that dark day flooded her mind once more. She fought the tears being driven to her, as she continued to listen to Nameless.

Nameless: There is deeper meaning to that attack. Whether you think you are ready to hear it or not, I know you are though it may be hard at first. I know it was when I first heard it... ... The horrid truth behind that assault on your people was that it took place back when Ganondorf had control over the passages.

Voleur could not take it. She immediately burst into tears layering her head down on the table in her arms. Her mug tipped over and spilled across the table. Nameless did nothing but speak louder and with more force so that Voleur could here her over her bawling.

Nameless: The attack on your people was an intentional act of Ganondorf. It was an act of malice and spite. Absolute evil. There was no motive. Just a plan. A plan to wipe your kind off the face of both worlds. For the most part, he succeeded. I can tell you in all truth that there were no survivors in the attack on your people. Rumor has it that only two remained. Yourself, and another. Though, rumor also has it that he meant for you two survivors to carry on for some sick and twisted amusement of his own I am sure. He placed that portal in front of you as you stumbled through the sandstorm in the Desert of Mystery, and had you sent to this world. The other Gerudo was left in the Light World. There he left you both to wallow in your lonliness. For he knew that no one would befriend a Gerudo. Their reputation is far too poor. So, indeed, he left you both to suffer, which apparently has taken its toll upon you.

Nameless was finished. Voleur continued crying. She had heard it all. After a while, her tears began to fade. As it did, revenge planted its roots deep in her mind. She pulled herself together from her tears, though her sadness was still eminent in her voice. Voleur stood up in her chair and spoke sternly to Nameless.

Voleur: How could you know?! How could you possibly know any of that as fact?!?!

Voleur was breathing heavily as Nameless sat still for a moment...

Voleur: Answer me!!!

Nameless kept silent, then slowly began reaching towards her hood. Nameless leisurely removed the cover from her head... Voleur took one look and was filled with such horror and utter shock that she fell back to the floor.

Voleur: H-- Ho... ... How... ??

Voleur was astonished at a glimpse of the future. It was like looking into a mirror that reflected the story of your life with a single visage.

Nameless: He told you himself. You confronted him at the top of his tower, and just before he finished you off, he told of his actions.

Voleur was still on the floor, and still very much at shock...

Voleur: He... killed me. Then how... ... do you...exist?

Nameless: By now you have surely felt my presence deep with your mind. The power of Revenge is strong. It can cloud your senses, making you believe things are really there, when if fact, they are not. Whether it be goodness, greed, love... hope...

Voleur: It has allowed me to see you... my future, if I decide to go up against Ganondorf...

Nameless nodded her head.

Nameless: Alone. If you decide to face him alone.

There was a revelation of silence. Then Nameless spoke one last time...

Nameless: You have acquired all you need to know from me...

And with that, everything within the broken-down house faded away. Even Mortus. Nothing was left but the bare walls.

Full of a new purpose and life, Voleur rose to her feet brushing herself off and walked out the door. The only question now was where to go...

Centuries later, now the present....

Sairo was found, still in a deep coma thanks to Ganondorf's poison dagger. If it were not for the Dark World, Sairo would have died long ago from old age and he literally would have slept his whole life away. Officially, he was well over 300 years of age but his body stopped aging in the Dark World at age 26. Sairo's motionless body rests in a small house at the base of Death Mountain, he sleeps dreaming of the day he would slay Ganondorf.

Suddenly, Sairo began to feel a wet cloth wiping down his forehead, and light feminine humming begins to ring in his ears. Finally, he was awakening from his centuries of slumber. Quickly, and suddenly, Sairo sat up as his eyes snapped open. A loud thump is heard followed by a surprised scream which brought Sairo's attention to a figure in a dimly lit room. His eyes have yet to adjust so he was having trouble seeing the apparent woman slowly backing away while still laying on the floor. Sairo turned, and sat on the edge of the bed he was dressed in different clothes and his armor was no where to be seen.

Sairo stood up weakly, but quickly regained enough strength to stand without supporting himself on the wall. Sairo slowly approached the frightened woman now shaking in the corner of the room, he extended his hand to her and she began to realize he would not harm her. She took his hand with some caution, and was pulled to her feet. She looked at the face bathed in the shadows of the room, looking to the left she reached her arm out began to touch something. A click is hear, and a lantern hanging from the ceiling lights up. The room is fully illuminated, and Sairo grunts as the bright light hurt his eyes. A soft voice is heard from the woman apologizing.

"I'm sorry." She says in a sweet manner, then Sairo turns to look at her once more. His blurry vision slowly fades, and for the first time he sees the young blonde haired woman's face. He looks at her, then begins to speak. "Where am I?" Sairo asks.

The woman slowly replies still feeling a little scared "M-m-my home." Sairo just shakes his head feeling a bit fuzzy, then speaks again. "Where is this?" Sairo asked curiously. "Umm....at the base of the mountain." She answers still shaking a bit. Sairo could feel the tension he was creating for acting so rude, Sairo smiled slightly and spoke in a softer tone attempting to calm her nerves down.

"I'm sorry, how rude of me. My name is Sairo, Sairo Bijan, and you are?" Sairo says looking the woman in the eyes. She returns a smile of her own, and nervously replies "My name? It's Diana Topaz."

"Were you the one taking care of me?" Sairo asked, but instead of a verbal response Diana just nodded. "Well, I'm must thank you then. I'm sorry I must have been such a burden for you." Diana looks at Sairo and speaks "No, actually it was a pleasure to have you hear. All though you were sleeping, it was still better then fully being alone. The last person I had here with me was my husband.......but he died, long ago." Sairo lowered his head, and sympathized in her loss "I'm sorry."

Diana just smiled, then spoke "No need to say your sorry, you have nothing to apologize about. Anyway, come let's go into the other room and have a seat. I'll make us some tea." Sairo followed Diana out of the room into another room where there was a lit fire place, and a small table with a couple chair surrounding it. It was silent as Sairo watch Diana make the tea, heating it over the fire in the fire place, then get out two cups for them.

After the tea was ready, Diana poured it into their cups as she began to speak. "I was surprised to see you awaken from your sleep. It's been so long. In fact, I didn't know if you'd ever wake." Curious Sairo asked "How long have I been asleep?" Diana seemed to be thinking to herself, then replied as best she could. "I'm not sure exactly how long, I've forgotten the exact date I found you. But it's been a couple centuries now."

Sairo's eyes widen, and he almost spits his tea out in surprise. "WHAT?! How is that possible? Damn him, damn that evil bastard to hell!" Sairo yelled scaring Diana momentary as he pound his gauntlet hand against the table. Confused as to what Sairo was talking about, Diana had to ask. "Who?"

Sairo quickly replied with anger in voice, and hatred in his eyes. "Ganon! First he murders my father, then takes my hand, and now I've slept for centuries having my former life pass me by. My friends, and loved ones are gone. I couldn't be there with them." Diana had always wondered what the gauntlet was for, and why it wouldn't come off. Now she had somewhat of an answer, but how he moved the fingers on it was still a complete mystery to her. Suddenly, the name 'Ganon' struck a nerve in her as well. Tears well up in her eyes, and she cried silently. Sairo noticed this, and immediately thought it was his fault.

"I'm sorry, I did not mean to make you cry." Sairo said sincerely, but Diana shook her head then spoke. "No, it's not your fault. That name, Ganon. My husband didn't just die, he too was murdered. It was this Ganon you speak of. Long ago we were trapped in this work because of rip between the two world, and Ganon murdered my husband shortly after he built this house for us. Tis his clothes you wear." Diana said with a grief filled tone in her voice. Sairo's rage built up again, but he calmed himself to ease Diana's pain.

"Then we have something very much in common. Ganon has slain a loved one in both our lives. For you, it was your husband. For me, it was my father. Well, someday I will put an end to Ganon. Soon I will travel to Ganon's tower, and finish what I had set out to do so long ago. I will run him through for my father, and now for your husband." Sairo said with confidence. Diana just shook her head no, and replied. "No, I'd rather not another die because of Ganon. Besides, while you were asleep Ganon escaped this world back into the other world we once came from. He can travel freely between the two worlds, and now rules both. I fear that no one can stop him."

Sairo begins to look angered, but just before he can speak Diana cuts him off. "Oh my, look at that. It's dark now, we must have been talking all day. Sairo, I cannot stop you if you wish to seek Ganon out. But I beg you, rest here for the night and get your strength back before you go anywhere." Sairo agrees, and makes a bed on the floor with some sheets allowing Diana to take the bed. All though he was asleep for so long Sairo felt very tired and quickly fell asleep once more, only this time Sairo would awake the next morning.

Lalia didn't talk much after that short conversation with Drake. They had stopped to take a break at a small pool of water. It was beautiful to her, like nothing she had ever seen. Water flowing freely...

She sat down on the lush green grash beside the pool, staring up at the blue sky and looking thoughtful. She knew it wasn't much furthur, but it seemed like they had been walking for hours and hours. It couldn't have been that long, could it? She shook her head and sighed a bit. She missed her father, already.

She wondered what her father was thinking now? Surely he had found the letter because Lalia was always well up before this time, helping around the tavern and getting things ready for the day to come. She sighed, thinking about it.

-------------------------------------

Jobb had passed out in the tavern and Mithioth just stared at him in awe. The barkeeper laughed a hearty laugh.

Barkeep: A bit naive, that one is.

He walked into the back of the tavern, and realized that Lalia was not up yet. Surely she did not sleep in? He walked to her bedroom door and knocked on it softly.

Barkeep: Lalia? Are you in there? It's time for you to get up...are you feeling well? You usually don't sleep this late...

He sat there for a moment and listened to the silence. It was unnerving. He knocked again.

Barkeep: Lalia? I'm coming in to check on you, okay?

He listened again and still heard nothing. No rustling of blankets, no humming of her lovely voice, not a thing. He cracked the door open and peeked in. Sunlight bathed the room in brilliance. He looked over at the bed and saw it perfectly made.

Barkeep: Funny...where is she?

Then he saw it, the letter on the pillow. He threw the door open and rushed over to the bed, scooping it up in his hands. He read it quickly. The read it again. And re-read it for a third time, still not believing what he was reading. He felt a tear run down his eye.

Barkeep: No...not my Lalia...not my...LALIA!!!!!!!!!!!

The people in the tavern looked around in alarm, but kept their silence, not knowing what was going on.

-----------------------------------

Lalia continued to look at the sky, but had began to hum a beautiful tune, one that her mother had taught her long ago. She looked around her at the scenery and saw little flowers sprinkling the grass here and there. Drake came and sat down beside her, looking at the sky himself.

Drake: It's such a beautiful day...

Lalia: I know...it takes my breath away...

Drake smiled and looked over at her. He picked one of the small flowers and handed it to her.

You take my breath away, Drake thought as Lalia blushed. She smiled at him, trying to conceal her happiness.

Kiln sat a ways off, watching. Ami ignored it. She hated to see people overly happy.

I'm not exactly sure how long I was unconcious, but I woke up to find Mithioth going through my leather pouch. At least I think it was Mithioth, there doesn't seem to be any reason why some other brown haired Hyrulian would be going through my things. My head was throbbing with pain, and it seemed like the entire tavern was spinning. I doubt it was really spinning though, most taverns are too large to be spun around easily. Unless it was some sort of very small tavern made for insects, but I'm much too large to fit inside of a small tavern like that...

Where was I? Oh yeah..

Jobb: Ow.. my head hurts.

Mithioth: Hey, he's awake.

Barkeeper: Aye, these Gorons are built tough. But they sure can't handle their ale. Makes ye wonder why such a powerful drink was brewed for Gorons in the first place.

Jobb: Why are you looking at my sack?

Mithioth moved away from my leather pouch.

Mithioth: I was just curious of what you had in there. You have been knocked out for the longest time, I got bored while waiting for you to recover.

I slowly began to stand up, but it was difficult since the room was still spinning around.

Jobb: Oh, well I'd prefer it if I kept whatever is in my pouch private. My mentor gave me some magic powder before I left to find my family and..

Sadly, the scruffy barkeeper began to burst into tears in the middle of my sentence.

Barkeeper: Children... my Lalia! Why did she leave me?!

Jobb: Huh?

Mithioth: The barkeepers daughter ran away while you were passed out. She left him a note, it is very sad when children leave their parents. They should be happy that they have someone to take care of them...

Barkeeper: So true, mate.

The bartender gave Mithioth a big hug, and he continued to weep for his missing daughter. This seemed to make Mithioth uncomfortable.

Mithioth: ..why are you touching me?

I noticed on the counter that Mithioth's mug of Goron ale was full.

Jobb: Mithy, you didn't touch your Goron ale?

Mithioth: Don't call me ''Mithy''.

Jobb: ...aw.. fine.

Mithioth: After seeing what the Goron ale did to you, I decided it was best not to touch the stuff.

OOC: Zidane, sorry to ruin your post a bit, but no one knows me. If you read some of Piro's post up a bit, you'll understand why. And, I'm a Gerudo; not a Goron.

And remember, try to keep me in character. I'm not too friendly with non-Gerudos and I try to keep myself to myself. Thanks. ^_^;;

As Dareigen limped slowly towards to canyon he made a mental complaint about his injured leg. It was starting to really hurt a lot now. He was sure there was something to heal him, but he just couldn't remember what. The bright sun was almost blinding him and he failed to see a small rock in front of him until his foot caught on to it and he fell to the sand with a painful-sounding "THUD!"

"Dammit, stupid sun!" He uttered aloud. Sighing loudly, he turned onto his back and sat up, looking blanky at the sand.

He had heard a "clink" sound of glass as he had fell, turning his head he saw what he had needed since that unexpected Leever assault on his leg.

"Red Potion! I must have forgotten about it. At least I can get rid of this painful cut now." Thought Dareigen, a sense of relief swelling through his body.

Dareigen stood up and picked up the bottle from the searing sand of the Desert. He swished the red liquid around the bottle, he couldn't remember the taste of this, so he hoped it was a little better than the "Leever Juice" he had created earlier. He pulled the cork out and drank the contents of the bottle quickly. The taste of the Red Potion was refreshing, almost like splashing cold water on your face in the early morning, it tasted slightly like water, but with a more tangy and sweet taste. He liked it. It took away all of his fatigue and he slowly felt the pain go away from his leg.

He looked down at where his cut had been and saw that all the blood was gone from his skin, but the tear remained in his tunic and underclothes. These were Dareigen's best "adventuring" clothes, although he had only wore them once before. Before the Fall..

He had almost let his mind wander into deep thought again. He knew that he couldn't do that, as it would take his mind off of the task at hand. This did no good though, thoughts just kept coming back into his head. He cursed himself under his breath and turned to look at the huge canyon ahead of him. Now, it seemed further away from him than it did before. Puzzled, he blinked and put the empty bottle back into his back-pouch.

Obvlivious to everything around him, he stood and wasted time for a minute. Just looked ahead and thought of what could come.

"This.. quest. It's going to be very hard. It's taken a lot out of me already. No one else would want to join me. Gerudos are not liked anymore. I really cannot see why though. Sure, our race had theived and.. theived, but doesn't every race have its theives. It's Ganondorf's fault. He's given his own race a bad name and kills them as well! It's disgusting.." He stared into space, thinking why Ganondorf has done such a thing.

"He has made my life a misery. My village, when I left, had few fellow Gerudo in it. The others were killed after venturing into the desert, defending the others. My race will soon go the way of the Sheikah, extinct completely." He frowned upon this thought, but still considered it valid; as it was most likely going to happen.

"If only there was someone like me. Another one of my kind, who has been what I have been through. Who is alone. If only I wasn't alone..."

As these thoughts swam through his mind, Dareigen felt a shrill ringing in his ears. He tried his best to ignore it, but it got louder and louder. A sharp pain cracked through his head, as if he had suffered a very bad headache, but just for a second. Dareigen stood confused, in a silent Desert. Yet, this ringing persisted to get louder still. He found that he couldn't speak, he just couldn't find words, so instead he screamed and dropped to his knees. Memories briefly flashed through his head; finding his village destroyed, watching his 'mother' die, leaving his village for the last time.

He wondered what was causing all of these thoughts and the ringing in his ears. A bright flash was now appearing in front of his eyes, it began to get brighter than the sun, which was already very bright. Dareigen shut his eyes tightly, in fear of being blinded. He just wished it would all stop right now.

..And it did, with a loud thud that came from in front of him. His ears were no longer in the agony that they were in and were numb from all the noise. Slowly, he opened his eyes to see a blue figure, crumpled on the sand in front of him. He wondered what it was, so he stood up and took a couple of wary paces towards it.

He stared at the strange physique of the creature. He had never seen anything like this before. It was tall (Dareigen could tell, although curled up) and was a lovely aqua-blue colour. From its arms extended large, fin-like things, about half the size of its arm. And from its head, a large.. tail thing came down to the middle of its back.

"What a strange being." Dareigen thought to himself, scratching his head.

Dareigen guessed it was some kind of aquatic creature. Used to being in the water, so what was it doing in the Desert of Mystery? Making a mental shrug, he checked over the body some more to find a beautiful chain around its neck. This held a dark blue crystal in a pendant that lay on his chest, slowly rising and falling.

"Phew. So it's not dead." He said to himself with relief.

He had to get this thing to some water quickly, otherwise it would surely perish quickly in the hot Desert sun. It would take Dareigen ages to find an oasis in the Desert, so the next best thing was the Swamp Ruins. It was dirty, and full of monsters, but at least this aqua-being could be revived. Sighing, he picked up the body (which was surprisingly light), and put it over his shoulder then began on a swift walk to the canyon.

Tasis: "I'm fine.....just a bit confused. Who are you and what happened?"

Elsyan: "I'm Laithrielsyan Similothlas, but I'm called Elsyan instead, and this is Glen the Innkeeper. As far aw what happened, I'm not sure. You were just outside of Kakariko Village when I found you."

Tasis closed his eyes as more memories came back to him. Then Glen spoke.

Glen: "So what are you two going to do now?"

Okay, Zidane, just a few things...

First off, no one is going to have a piece of the Triforce. Ganon has the complete Triforce, meaning the only time someone in the RPG is going to get the Triforce is at the end, when the group defeats Ganon.

Please try not to abuse the ability to find and pick up items. That ability is one of the main reasons why I didn't just let anyone in to this RPG.

Second, when you go through a warp to or from the Dark World, you end up in the same place, only on the map of the other world. So, if you went through a warp near Ice Lake in the Dark World, you'd be near Lake Hylia in the Light World. You can't just warp across the world like that. It'd make traveling from one side of the world to the other just a bit too easy. I except people to at least somewhat follow the maps.

Third, Zoras don't eat minerals, lol. They eat fish, and other things that Hylians and other people would eat. Just thought you might like to know that, lol.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drake: So...what are you thinking about?
Lalia: Oh...home, mainly. How my father is taking my leaving.
Drake: Oh...I see. Probably won't be too happy that you ran off with me, right?
Lalia: Exactly. How about you, what are you thinking about?
Drake: Oh, you know. Being the leader of the group, I have to plan out what we're going to do next, and how to do it. Very serious stuff. Very stressful, you know?
Drake continued to sit, looking at the sky, and the immediate surroundings of the pool. He actually managed to keep a straight face, too, while starting to hum a merry little tune.
Lalia stared at him for a few seconds, not sure if he was serious, or joking around. Then she saw his slight wink, and started to laugh quietly.
Lalia: Yeah, that's why you're sitting by a pool, looking like your mind is completely blank.
Drake gave her what was fast becoming his "trademark grin."
Drake: It's not blank, though. It's filled with thoughts of you.
Though I suppose what I said earlier wasn't quite all made up... If worrying counts, that is.
He smiled as he stood up and stretched, before sitting back down again and rummaging through his small pack that now lay beside him on the soft grass. Digging down to the bottom, he pulled out one of the loaves of bread that Sahasrahla had given to him. It's not exactly dark and dank--just the opposite, in fact--but it's too nice a day after that storm to resist having a little bit.
Carefully unwrapping the bread, taking care not to rip the wrapping, he cut four slices before rewrapping it and placing it back in his pack.
Drake: Who wants the heel?
Kiln and Ami looked over, and saw the four slices.
Kiln & Ami: I'll take it.
Drake started to laugh a bit, as the two looked at each other, stern expressions of their faces. Kiln, being a Kokiri and looking about like a ten year old Hylian, didn't look all that serious, though Drake knew he was. Lalia just watched, almost as amused as Drake was.
Drake: Heh, how did I know? I think I know of a solution, though.
Ami and Kiln both looked at him, curious, as he broke the heel and another slice of break neatly in half. Then he handed half of the heel and half of the other piece to both of them. They took the bread, looked at it, and then looked at each before shrugging.
Drake, still chuckling a bit, turned back to Lalia and offered her one of the other slices. Breaking off a small piece and putting it in her mouth, she chewed, and then smiled.
Lalia: Cinnamon!
Drake took a bite of his own slice, and was surprised to taste a hint of cinnamon in the bread. It appeared that Sahasrahla's wife was quite the baker.
The four sat under the warm sun, enjoying their small snack by the pool. Drake's thoughts returned to the strange blue glow at the bottom, and made a mental note of it. He might just have to return and find out what exactly it was, sometime.
Lalia stood up, brushing herself off.
Lalia: That was a delicious treat, but I just don't like sitting here idle. It makes me feel as though we are putting off the inevitable. I think we need to reach that graveyard before sundown because I am quite honestly afraid of what might happen after dark...
Drake looked at her, admiring her sharpness.
Drake: That is too true. We shouldn't be wasting our time. I should have known better.
Ami: *Smirking* Well, I could have told you that...
Kiln rolls his eyes at her and Lalia chooses to ignore her comment.
Lalia: I'm sorry Drake if me taking the initiative bothers you, but I get so scared sometimes...
Drake stood up beside her, putting her hand on her shoulder gently.
Drake: Don't be afraid, Lalia...I'll do everything in my power to protect you. To the best of my abilities.
She smiled at that, but even he wasn't so sure of the truth of his words.
Lalia, you were the one to save us in the first mess, and here you are being the sensible once again, thought Drake. I'm glad you did decide to come along...
The small band finally got up and began to head towards the graveyard once more, the sunlight blazing above their heads. Tiny beads of sweat began to twinkle down Lalia's face and she frowned.
Lalia: I'm not used to being so exposed to the sunlight...
She took off her cloak and carried it so she wouldn't be too hot.
Fai sneaked around the crumbling house, peering after the mutated thief she had encountered in the Village of Outcasts. He was fiddling around at the edge of what should have been the Lost Woods...except they looked very skeletal, and dead.
That boy...he knows of a portal from this world to the Light World. And he's searching for it--I know he is! Now, if I can just find out where it is...
"YOU!" a harsh, gutteral voice rang out. "FISH CREATURE!"
Fai rolled her eyes, about to give the owner of the voice a strong telling off, when she gasped.
Several muscular Moblins, armed with lethal, multi-tipped spears, were standing in a semi circle, only a few feet away from her.
"Sages should know when to stay put," snarled the lead Moblin. He waved his followers to detain her.
"Oh Nayru-drown it!" Fai swore under her breath.
Voleur walked casually about the Dark World not knowing exactly where to go from here. She needed to find a way out of this world, and back into the Light World. She found it hard to believe that only two Gerudos remained... Perhaps it was an exaggeration by the vile fiend. Maybe he just destroyed a majority of them... but there are only two left that might be a threat to him. It made sense, but she could only hope it was true. Those who live on hope die fasting. She let out a sigh with a slight undertone of sadness as she lifted her eyes to look into the distance. She could still see the Pyramid of Power. Where she had found herself when she first arrived in this world...
She stopped... Perhaps if the top of the pyramid is where she entered this world, then perhaps it could also be where she can exit this world! Again, she could only hope, but this was a hope worth hoping for. Voleur picked up her pace hoping the path to the top of the pyramid would be a smooth one. Surely getting there would be no problem, but who knows what exists around and on the pyramid itself...
Kiln stared at Lalia and Drake, who were both staring at each other. He wondered why the heck they were beating around the bush, and then realised that love is a little more complicated than that.
Kiln looked back down at the pool, it's cool water gently rippled as he threw a small piece of the bread into it. Again Kiln was caught behind the group, as he heard Xian calling him from afar.
Upon catching up with the rest of the group, Kiln found himself it yet another one of Drake and Lalia's google-eyed staring sessions. He had no one to talk to. Ami was hardly the perrson to talk to, as she had denied him his heel and called him a wimp. Drake was engrossed with Lalia and vice versa, leaving Kiln with.. Xian. Kiln decided to begin some form of conversation with his old fairy friend, but found himself promptly denied the chance as Xian had sparked up another argument with Ami.
Kiln blinked twice. Within those two blinks was contained the image Link. Once again Kiln's mind was plagued with the horrible images of Link screaming and squirming on his back. Kiln held his head tightly and saw the last glimpses of the group in front of him before he blacked out.
Xian: KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILN!
Xian was screaming at the top of his fairy voice, trying to get his partner awake.
Kiln: Argh, my head, it happened again.. what is going on?
Drake: I really don't know.. was it images of Link again?
Kiln: Yeah, just.. more violent.
Drake let out a loud sigh and looked at Lalia, who seemed terribly concerned about Kiln's problem. Drake's face seemed to momentarily flare up with anger and then calm down again. He looked back down at his friend.
Drake: We better stop here, he obviously needs a rest.
Kiln slowly rose to his feet, picking his Deku shield back off the floor. He thought for a moment, and called Xian over to him.
Kiln: It's time to go.
Xian: Where?
Kiln: Just.. Follow me.
Kiln walked towards the Desert of Mystery with Xian. Drake and Lalia were talking when Drake turned to inform Kiln of their imminent departure.
Drake: Kiln we're about to.... Kiln?
Ami turned and looked at Drake with a smirk on her face.
Ami: They left, I'm not going to say where, I don't think he wanted you to know.
Meanwhile, Kiln sprinted towards the Desert of Mystery with Xian at his side.
I am Kiln Redras, I am more than capable of this.. I don't need Drake to look after me.. I don't want to hinder the group, this is for the best.
Mithioth held his hand out in front of Jobb's face as he stared dully at the ground.
He said, moving his hand back unto his side stolidly. He moved his head back up from the ground, a collection of tears now burning hotly on his face. He turned toward Jobb, placing his hands on his nose as he sniffled.
Mithioth: Nothing. Jobb, we've got to find her for him. So, let's go...if you will, that is.
OOC: Sorry I haven't been around for a while, we had a series of important tests in school. I'll try and make up for lost time over the next week...
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rokar strolls out of the village tavern after finishing breakfast. That bartender sure was something, moping like the world was going to end. His milk had seemed watered down, no doubt with the bartenders tears. The man just had to get over his daughter leaving. It had to happen sometime.
He takes a brisk stroll across town, heading back to his room at the Inn. He has been wondering if the stranger he and Elsyan saved had awoken yet. He enters the Inn and climbs the creaky stairs up to his room on the third floor.
He walks into his room at the Kakariko Village Inn just in time to catch the end of and Tasis's conversation with Glen.
Rokar: "I don?t know about you two, but I think I'll go down to the tavern before being on my way."
Elsyan: "Where are you going?"
Rokar: "I honestly don?t know. I had been planning on finding an out of the way place where I could settle down and avoid the monsters."
Tasis: "And miss all the fun?!"
Rokar: "I think we can leave that to that Drake Desbreko. He seems to be going on some type of journey."
Elsyan: "How do you know that?"
Rokar: "The way he left us, like he had somewhere to go. I was over at the tavern earlier and all the bartender could talk about was his daughter running off to go on a journey with Drake."
Elsyan: "Sounds like they have a plan. What about us? We can't just split up and go hide while the monsters grow stronger."
Tasis: "Can't we?"
Rokar: "I suppose we could try and catch up with Drake. What do you think?"
hmmmm Catch up with Drake? Tasis thought over the idea for a moment.
Tasis: Where's he going?
Tasis turned to face Glen.
Tasis: Do you know, Glen?
Glen: Well, to tell you the truth i'm not sure. Not many of the villagers need a place to rest, so i don't get much of the gosip. Old man Sahasrahla may know, lives on the other side of the village. That man's bad news i tell ya...
Rokar: Sahasrahla? I head of him, two women were speaking of him at the Tavern last night. Said he was sending Drake on some wild goose chase to the Graveyard to get killed.
Tasis: The Graveyard??? They can't be! That's where i ended up when i came from the Dark World. There's a mob of monsters just waiting there. They attacked me, stole most of my items and left me for dead. I barely made i outside of this village. There must be two score of them!
Elsyan had stayed quiet for awhile, just listening to what was going on.
Elsyan: It only seems sensible that we should warn them.
Tasis sprang out of bed, grabbed his sword and managed to trip somewhere in the process and land hard on back.
Glen: Hah hah hah! You still aren't fully recovered enough to walk, let alone set out on an adventure.
Tasis: I'll manage....
Rokar: Well, all we'll really be needin' is some provisions. Travel light, we need to make up lost time and catch them.
Glen: I'll handle the provisions, mayhap you should go on over to Sahasrahla's and see what he has to say about this...
Elsyan: Right! We'll be back before you know it!
Glen winked at Elsyan.
Glen: All right liddle missy. I'll have your stuff ready by late afternoon. Be sure to be here!
Elsyan: You can count on that!
With all that said the three friends set off to Sahasrahla's house, on the other side of the village, to see what he had to say, and because thay had a few minutes to kill.
Rayne was still lying near the portal when she woke. She quickly rose and checked her surroundings. She looked up hard through the trees at the now dark sky and let out a frustrated sigh.
Rayne: Great! I've slept too long! Now my timetable is all out of whack.....
Rayne sat down again near the portal to think about what to do. She knew that time usually remained pretty much the same in the Light and Dark Worlds, so if it was dark here, it would be dark there, or pretty close to it. She closed her eyes, which she believed in her mind to help her think better, and pondered over her present predicament. She sat there for a time, and finally decided to go with her plan. She sighed and rose, preparing to embark on her excursion to the Light World, and took a step closer to the portal.
Rokar, Tasis and Elsyan walk slowly across Kakariko Village towards Sahasrahla's house.
Rokar makes a mental check of his things; he had his bow, sword and potions. All he would need now would be a spare bottle. He could never have enough of those. His problem was that he didn?t have enough rupees left for a sturdy, well made bottle. He could usually buy them from the man who sat on his rug in on the west side of town, but he didn?t seem to be there anymore. A lot of things had changed since his childhood, a great many things.
They arrived at Sahasrahla's house, and knocked at his oaken front door. They waited with apprehension for several tense minutes, and finally the door opened. Sahasrahla ushered them inside and had them sit around a large table in his kitchen while his wife bustled about making food.
Sahasrahla: "What brings you back friends? Not another injury I hope?"
Rokar: "No, not this time. We want to catch up with Drake. We think he may run into trouble in the dark world."
Sahasrahla: "Hmmm, I see. Well, if that is really what you want to do I will help you. Do you happen to have a map?"
Elsyan: "I do."
Elsyan hands Sahasrahla an old map, on which the village elder marks two paths. One is in red, the other in blue.
Sahasrahla: "The red path is the route Drake is taking. The blue route will get you to him faster, but is much more dangerous. However it is the only way to reach him before he gets to the graveyard. Be sure to stock up on supplies and weapons before you leave, outside of this village, people aren't very friendly."
Rokar: "Thank you."
The three companions leave Sahasrahla's house and head back towards the inn. Rokar opens his pouch of rupees and counts them. Not enough. Never enough...
