Anime Two pieces of exodia WARNING, MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS

Just wondering, the two pieces of Exodia that Joey managed to snatch right when weeble threw them off the boat, do they have to do with anything else in the story?

[SIZE=1][COLOR=purple]I can't remember anything happening to them again in the Duellist Kindom saga. We certainly haven't seen Exodia again as of Dungeon Dice Monsters Part IV.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

[size=1]Well after today's episode and the next one with Yugi vs. Rare Hunter, we all know Exodia returns.
But looking ahead Exodia returns again. Much later in the Battle City saga, an episode is entitled, "Return of Exodia", although I have no summary on what happens, its safe to assume Exodia will make another appearance.[/size]

I thought the whole point of Joey retreiving 2 pieces of Exodia was just a way of showing how much he cares for Yugi and to prove his determination that would eventually need in duelist kingdom to save Serenity. I didn't really think that concept would be pulled any further but "Return of Exodia" seems to foreshadow just the opposite. We'll just have to wait and see unless someone does manage to dig up a summary for that ep.
