I think the worst gift I have ever recieved would have been stickers. My aunt just got me stickers. I was 13. It was horrible.

Worst gift?
Well, I guess I'd have to say a lump of coal also. My dad played a lil trick on me in the third grade. - .-'

I'd actually love to have clothes. I haven't been able to do alot of shopping lately, and I'd do anything for a new pair of jeans, a skirt...etc. = \

HEH! You sound EXACTLY like my mom. It's not that... it's just some people think that most girls are the stereo-typical "mall bums". On occasin I do dressup. But to the point, I consider myself a bit of a tomboy.

Well, not all of what you call, 'mall bums' are really as high-maintinanced as people might say. Alot of people care alot about clothes, but can just be themselves with their own personalities. You didn't have to get into stereotyoes, you know.

By the way, I just remembered what was worse than that lump of coal... - .-' I got a pet rock wrapped in a mountain of tissue paper. The tissue paper was nice though. ^_^

Mmm... true. I didn't mean to offend anyone Juu. Just my opinion. ;) I guess I would change if I didn't attend a private school that makes girls look...erm... like boys actually. (A polo shirt, khaki pants, a brown belt, and nothing "excessive". Plus only two types of jewelry.) I envy public school life.

I don't think it matters what the horrible gift you got was(unless someone was doing it do be funny, like playing a trick on you by giving you a lumop of coal). The fact that someone went out of their way to buy you, or even make you something, should be what counts. It's the thought that counts. And besdes, you shouldn't worry about the gifts you're [getting it should be about giving gifts instead. One of my grandpa's motto's says: "It's better to give than to receive."

Yes. But now, step back into reality and just tell us what is the worst gift you've ever received.

I thought getting a lump of coal was hilarious. Heh.

And I actually have 'warm white socks' on my wish list this year...my brother keeps stealing mine.

The worst gift I've probably gotten is makeup. I don't wear it...so, I never am sure what to do with it.

Step back into reality? Would you be subtley implying that my morals are not realistic, or are you just kindly asking me to stick to the thread topic, and tell you people what my worst gift was, or perhaps both?
Mostly number 1.

But don't take it the wrong way. I'm not saying your morals are "bad" or anything, merely saying, lots of people give gifts without any thought at all. There's a lot of obligation in Christmas these days (for some people).

So while I'm glad you have good enough ethics to realize that it can be cruel to say a gift is bad when a person really tried, that's one thing. It's another thing when you receive a pet rock.

Ah. I understand, and I do realize that a pet rock is an unacceptable gift, as well.

Asfor a bad gift I've received, a rock tumbler when I was twelve. I'm thirteen now. I've never used it. But, it did cost a lot, and the person who gave it to me thought I'd like it. At least she thought of me, and I know she tried to think of something I'd like (shes my aunt).

My mom gets me socks every year(socks with a christmas pattern on them), and my sister always thinks she's bizzare(sp?). I find them useful in the winter when my feet are cold. ^_^
