Football....

Well frst of all I don't play football I am a soccer/skateboard kind of guy. But, I will force myself to play with it though. I don't want my dad to think he failed or something. :p I haven't actually received it yet though, it's in a Walmart bag in the back of the car. I doubt it is for my 19 year old sister so.....yea.

Other than that probably any Old Navy shirts. I like the pants because they are comfy, but my sister doesn't seem to get the concept I hate the shirts. :p

Socks are the best thing to get when you come from a creative family.

Since my Father lives waaaay far away, i only see him a few times a year, thus, that side of the family has christmas early.

This year my Aunt&Uncle gave me a pair of blue socks. I looked at them and laughed. Atleast they'd be warm. I then put on on my left foot, they fit blah blah blah.

I was getting ready to go to school about 3 days later, and was out of socks, so i put them on. I found out that the other sock had 3 $20 bills in it. Talk about suprise.

*sighs* if only I had your luck....or at least your relatives :D

the worst present I've received is a Christmas tree ornament. I feel kinda weird saying that. but lemme tell you, that thing was ugly. and the only reason why I got that as a gift was because the person who gave it to me wanted to take the easy way out, so he simply took an ornament that nobody would care if it was missing off of the tree at his house. scumbag.

Oh! Oh! I've got one!!! My crazy cousin subscribed me to some stupid magazine one that was so overly frickin religious that i just took the magazine and ripped it up and threw it away. I would have to say that is the worst present i have ever recieved.

Poor gifts usually come from my mother, lol. Every time I visit her, it's not with the intention of scoring big in the gift department.

The last time my brother and I visited three years ago, which was incidentally a Christmas, we were treated to socks, tooth brushes, and the jewel in our Christmas crown, a "South Park" music CD.

It was a little disappointing watching our younger brother and sister's pile of gifts grow, while we twiddled our thumbs and played with our tooth brushes, but it wasn't really surprising. That's the sad part, lol. We actually made out pretty well considering that the year before that, they actually took stuff that was lying around the house and put it under the tree for us. O.o;;

Holy crap, I dont think Ive ever heard something so rediculus.

Porn with maker over everything, Ill be damned.

LOL. That is worth nothing I could say. I would pay to see that. Ill be damned.

I would wanna see that just to see it for the shock and humor of it. lol. My god, I cant even tell you how funny I find that.

But the truth is that the time it took to do that makes the gift worth more than anything you can buy, well, almost anything.

Absents of a gift. Just it going by unmarked.

Some years I'll get the coolest things and others nothing, I guess it changes by who I'm living with, if they have a job and how much they value these sorts of occasions.

Though I would much rather have family around for the whole Christmas thing, but I guess that?s just me trying to be stereotypical.

I've noticed that the dates of people's birthday and the date of Christmas mean nothing in my family any more. For example I got my birthday present from my sister two days before my birthday, my present from dad some time in the next five weeks. And from my mother around the date of my birthday. (My birthday being three months ago.)

Heh... the reality of this is that I have enjoyed every gift I have ever received.

For example, two Christmas's(sp) ago, family was REALLY tight on cash. I got what most would consider not much more than 'nothing'. I think I got this two dollar shoppers drugmart giftpack with soap, deodorant and some shampoo :). I got a couple other things too...

At first..I was being seflish and angry that I didnt get much... Than I looked over at my mom and dad (both of which had received ZERO presents at all) and I smiled and thanked them.....and thanked them from the heart too..

I dont know if that is not reality but I sure as hell think so.

Ugh..... clothes. I hate those little pink, sparkly ones especially. What makes people think that all girls want to be "pretty". It annoys me so.

I'm ranting aren't I?
I know exactly how you feel... I hate pink! My worst gift was probebly clothes. Or maybe those shoes my grandma gave me one year. Oh man where those things scary! She took normal shoes and panted them red and painted this huge Santa on it, which turned out bulky. It had bells on the shoe laces too.

I got underwear and socks one year, but I didn't mind as it was just like 1/10 of the presents I got from that person.

My mom had bought me a biker jacket a few years ago, and I planned on getting this one painting airbrushed on the back. A friend of ours does that sort of thing, so i had him do it... I got it back on Christmas and it was done horribly. I'm still upset about that.

I found a way better guy that does stuff almost photorealisticx, but what I want will cost me about $400 total. Not happening anytime soon lol.

Hmmm. I seem to have it the other way around. We did our Christmas shopping today. This is a month or two after a long, expensive trip to America. My father insisted on it being a low-key Christmas. I told him to forget me entirely, let's face it, I don't care. Anyway, there were three of us, buying for each other and three cousins, and the total spent was $500. That's $80 a person Now that is ridiculous. Outright ridiculous.

As for worst gift, I'd have to say the type of clothes my family attempts to foist off on me. The worst ever: a long sleeved flannelette shirt, checked black and red. What were they thinking? It just stinks of "Redneck". And as you may have noticed, my aversion to that area tend to come out somewhat stridently...

53rd time....

I got a woolen sweatshirt from my aunty in Ireland once, the arms were twice as long as my size, and the whole thing ended up looking like a skirt. Of course, I had to try it on in front of the entire family, along with my incredibly cocky cousin who hasn't let it go since. *sigh*

I have yet to receive socks as a gift, I pray that I will not.

HOLY **** Harlequin...
*Hides the price tag on his new computer*
THANKS DAD :P
I did all my x-mas shopping today and every thing fit in my budget of 50$... ...well not completely, it got to about 70$.
Though they were all good quality gifts.
Although I only have to buy for my mother, father, sister and best friend.
I my self am all for the commercialisation of Christmas but I don't like it when people spend money they don?t have on me.

Anyway I'm just posting this to show that I am shocked at how much Harlequin spent and can he please shorten his sig.

Worst gift? Nothing. When someone gives me nothing, then that's just very hard. You see, I'm approaching this topic from a different angle--a sort of twist. I believe the worst gift someone can give, whether it be being met with someone, or for holiday or happy occasions, is nothing.

All your threads are a hit Safer. Heh heh..

Anyways, the worst gift I recieved? Was probably a pink Barbie carrying case, when I was 12. I wrote my aunt back thanking her for it, and reminding her that I was no longer and 8 year old. The next year, she sent me a pink Barbie diary with a poofy pen. x_x I took the pen, threw the diary away.

The worst gift I've seen someone else get, was either a christmas ornament that was a foot long glittery sphere with an acorn inside, (it was huge and weighed down the tree, plus it got glitter everywhere). That was two years ago. Last year the gag gift was a really beautiful blue bag with lots of pretty silver ribbons and snowflakes. It looked fit to please a goddess, so naturally, everyone inside figured the gift would be just as extravagent. When it was opened up, it held a nose hair trimmer. o_O

This year, my friends are going to love me. I'm buying the Spencer's 'Boob Busters' and 'Penis Enlargement' placebos for everyone because I don't like searching for gifts for everyone.
