I think the worst present I've ever received was a frilly knee length blue and black skirt and matching waste jacket with frilly sleaves. Now anyone who knows me, knows I absolutely hate frills, any kind of frills. The clothes went to the Smith Family clothing bin a week later.

I don't think clothes are so bad. Well... as long as they're not from my grandparents. All of the clothes my grandparents give me end up in one of my boxes anyway. ^_^;;

My mom picks out pretty good clothes though. Even though about half of them were pretty small.

I'd really like to get anime. ^_^ In fact, I gots another CB manga from my best friend.

Ah... and I got a pair of earrings, and I can't even wear them yet. @_@;

yeah, clothes can be good gifts....providing they fit. I don't like people getting me clothes unless I'm there with them to try them on, because with half the clothes I get, they're either too big/small, fit weird in funny places, or are..um..not very pritty. whereas, if they just took me with them, I wouldn't have to take anything back or worry how everything fits, since all that would've been taken care of ahead of time. seems more convenient to me *shrug* :drunk:

Every year, my grandma gives me 7 presents in a "Goody Box" sounds good, right...WRONG!! She gets the stuff from garage sales for like a nickle, and on my 13th birthday, she gave me a knock knock joke book, identical to the one she gave me the year b4. She also gave me a Winny The Pooh puppet, and I was 13!! I ended up giving the joke book to mai cousin, who was all grateful, b/c he was so interested in it (he likes stuff like that, he was only 10) and I kept the other one. all I gotta say is...:sick:
But the person who I really feel sorry for is my cousin, Hannah, who that year (at age 10, the other cousin, jacob's twin sister)got a Barbie doll alarm clock!! LOL!! Well, I think she deserved it, b/c she is kindof a brat. ( she is obsessed with makeup and always begs me to let her paint my toe/finger nails, and begs me to do her makeup...UGH!!):laugh:

Oh yeah, one of my friends wasn't able to celebrate Christmas this year b/c his family is short on cash b/c...
1. his dad is a jobless alchoholic
2. his parents just decided to get a divorce
so he only got one present. no tree, just that one present, from his mom, who will gain full custody of him when the divorce is final, he is happy though, b/c he hates his dad. so the divorce was a good gift to him, but the fact of no christmas is baad, probably his worst year ever...

But no matter how embarrasing the gift is or how much you hate it, it's the thought that counts. I would keep them as a memento. I think that she just didn't know what to get you. A lot of us have grandparents that do that, but even if they give you a plastic bracelet from one of those 25 cent machines at a grocery store, you should still be thankful. At least they thought of you. And what did you give her in return?
