Hmmm...many, many ways. The most common is to get ahold of the Knights of the Round Summon, slap it together with the Materia that lets you do the same thing twice, and enjoy watching him get slashed to pieces.

The other way? Equip as many Ribbons as you can get ahold or, grab ahold of a walkthrough from the net, and find out. Heh, my Summon way's the only way I've ever gone. :bluesweat

Um... are you going to say anything else? Just that, that post was rather short and txt speaky. Here let me change it--there. Please make effort to make your posts more than one or two words. :) -Break

Double Cut is cool. Especially once you get it to 4x Cut and you get a few other ones to give your other part members. That way, every turn with 4x Cut, you can take off (40,000-4HP).
Double Cut would've be neater though if it could be linked with Counter, but no such luck.

Another handy thing would be Omnislash, which could then be mimed by Cloud repeatedly, while the other two partymembers were left ready to heal.

But yeah, most useful thing is Knights of the Round, with a W-Summon. MP Turbo that and you have (130,000-13HP) worth of damage that can be mimed for no MP charge :)

You know, you shouldn't tell me to edit your posts. :whoops:

Anyway, what do you mean by MP charge? Do you mean the cost or something? 'Cause I was sitting here thinking "Charging up MP, eh?" -Break

You brought it up, lol.
I meant MP Cost, not Charge. I'm sure everyone has them days when words just seem to disappear from your mind... -AJeh

I had some strange experiences in the crater, and I want to share! :D
NOTE: some final boss-spoilers might be included!

First time I played the game, I got stuck with the final boss (
Safer Sephiroth
?), because I had no such things as Knights of The Round or Omnislash. But before the
angel-Sephiroth there's the "mutant-Sephiroth"
, and at the first time, I got only one party to fight him, but when I replayed the game later (and passed it) I got TWO parties (or was it three?). It was a bit of a shock, and I wasn't prepaired, so I had only Cloud, Tifa and Cid in high levels, and I had to throw weak Barret, Yuffie and Red against him too... Luckily I didn't need them, but it was strange anyhow...

How can one game just change like that? And I doupt anybody can pass the ultimate boss without Omnislash or Knights! And didn't you need the Omnislash to
finally kill Sephiroth with Cloud
?

Added the spoiler tag to your post. Please add it next time. -Break
TO GET THE GOLDEN CHOCOBO:

First off, you need HEAPS of money, the Chocobo Materia, all six Chocobo stalls (buy them from Chocobo Bill at his farm), and some type of Greens--so that you can catch the Chocobos you find.
It is recommended that you have the Airship and the W-Item, to make your job easier, but it's not mandatory.

GREEN (Mountain) and BLUE (River) Chocobos:
Swing by Gold Saucer's Chocobo tracks, and pick up two Chocobos (one is enough, but two is recommended; you have a higer probability of getting a male and a female that way). The one you want is always paired with two Spencers (little dragon monsters). This is your GOOD Chocobo.
Now, go to Mideel or Rocket Town and run around on the tracks, looking for a GREAT Chocobo (or two). Mideel's run with Spirals (purple slug thingies), while Rocket Town's is found with Valrons (purple demon guys) or Kyuvilduns (grasshoppers?).
Hopefully, you have one female and one male Chocobo now. It doesn't matter which is the GREAT or the GOOD, as long as you have one of each. This is where the W-Item comes in handy; buy a few Sylkis Greens from the Chocobo Sage, then go into battle and use the W-Item to select Sylkis Green as both your first and second item. But when you choose it the second time, deselect and reselect. The number of Greens you have should go up. Keep doing this until you have 99 Sylkis Greens--you'll need 'em! Feed Sylkis Greens to the two Chocos you plan to mate until they max out and can't eat anymore. Race both Chocobos at Gold Saucer until they are level A (you CAN aim for S if you want--if you have the patience or time. I wouldn't recommend it at this time, though, since they are only ordinary Chocos.)
Both are Level A now, right? Good. Go to the Chocobo Sage's house (up north, a tiny house tucked away in the mountains, accessible only by airship), and run around on the green area around his house. You should run into a large, red dinosaur monster. You need to steal Carob nut from him--it's the only place you can get it. Make sure you can handle the red dinosaur monster--he kicks tail.
I highly recommend you save at this point--that way, if you don't get the baby Choco you want, you can restart and try again.

Tell Choco Billy you want to mate the two level A Chocos using a Carob nut. You SHOULD get either a Green or Blue Choco. If you want, you can wait awhile for the first set of parents to rest up and be able to mate again. If not, repeat the above process with another set of Chocos, made to the exact same requirements. It'll take a while to get a Blue and a Green that are opposite genders of each other. You'll need that.

MOUNTAIN and RIVER CHOCOBO:
Now that you have a Blue Choco and a Green Choco (doesn't matter which is male and which is female), it's time to get the Black Choco. Go back through the process of W-Item'ing the Sylkis Greens (unless you have a LOT of money, or you want an inferior Choco), and stuff your pair of birds until they can't handle any more greens (max out). Run their legs off at Golden Saucer, raising them to S level (colored Chocos tend to run better than regular ones, but it's still a little difficult). You'll find that the Green Chocobo tends to run faster at some parts of the races, and the Blue Chocobo tends to run faster at the water parts of the races.
Go steal another Carob Nut from the red dinosaur monster hanging out around the Chocobo Sage's house, and take your Chocos to Billy. (Save, save, save--you aren't always guaranteed a Black Choco.) Tell him to mate the Blue and Green Level As with the Carob Nut. Ta da--you SHOULD get a Black Choco!

GOLDEN CHOCOBO:
The moment you've been waiting for, huh? Take that pretty new Black Choco of yours, stuff him/her full of Sylkis Greens (via W-Item again), and race the bird until it hits S level (Black Chocos tend to do very well in races, so this shouldn't be too much trouble).
Time to get a friend for your new Choco--preferrably, the opposite gender. Go to the Icicle Inn Choco Tracks, and start hunting down a WONDERFUL Choco. These birds are seen ONLY with Jumpings (evil rabbits); if you seen any other creature with the Choco you run into, forget it. Have patience--it takes a little while to find WONDERFULS.
Now that you have a WONDERFUL that's the opposite gender of your Black Choco, stuff the WON with Sylkis, and race it until it's Level S. This time, the nut you need is found on a far away island. Fly Northeast of the Chocobo Ranch to find a small string of islands where Goblins hang out. Not only can you steal the Zeio Nut from them, it's also a good time to pick up Goblin Punch for your Enemy Skill Materia.
Go back to the Ranch, SAVE, then tell Chocobo Billy to mate the Black Choco with the WON. using the Zeio Nut.
Behold. Golden Chocobo. Your key to getting the KotR summon materia (as well as a few other hard to get Materias). I won't tell you WHERE to get the KotR summon, but I will tell you this much--the island it's on is NOT marked on the map. And only the Golden Chocobo can reach it--the airship cannot land there.
Chocobo breeding is hard. I tried it so many times according to so many guides. Then my friend made up his own technique, that involved mating a C-Rank and A-Rank chocobo (instead of the usual S), which got him a Gold Chocobo in 3 days.

So I gave him my memory card :p

-------------------
EDIT: Oh yeah, the other thing I wanted to say: (spoiler?! wabblah!)
You get three parties in the final fight against Sephiroth, everytime. Two parties of three, and one party of two. Then that way, (I think) if your party ever dies, you can switch parties. But I wouldn't know, since my strongest party of Cloud-Barret-Red/Yuffie always took Jenova/B Seph/S Seph out.

After you beat Sephiroth, whether or not you have Omnislash, as part of the story, Cloud breaks an Omni all over Seph. And you pretty much can't do anything else. No escape, no magic, or attack, or item, or summon.

Well you can counter attack, according to my friend.
I laugh at him, who hasn't seen Omnislash.
*laughs at Jon*
*slaps you* It's really annoying that you talking about the story so freely like that! Hold your mouth shut, if all you can do is spill out obscenities that ruin things!!

The number of parties (either one, two, or three) that you'll split up into for the
Bizarro Sephiroth
fight depends on how well you do in the fight with
Jenova
, right before it.

I've beaten the final boss using nothing but normal attacks and healing spells. How? I had three level 99 characters, two with Double Cut Materia with the 4x-Cut ability, and a mastered HP Plus Materia on everyone, and I also had their ultimate weapons. I had 9999 HP on everyone, and I was doing 9999 damage with every hit. Booyah! :toothy:

And yeah, even if you haven't gotten Omnislash before the very end fight, you still use it. It's pretty cool if you've never seen it before that, too.

Ah, Sephiroth. He isn't that hard. Not when I beat him, he wasn't. And I was only at level 60. I barely beat him, but I did. Heh. The basic thing I'd do is just have one person designated as a healer, one to cast Ultima, and one to be the in-between.

You just gotta Mime the KotR summon once. Not even that--just W-Summon the Summon, and the final boss is deader than anything you'd like to use as a tacky "dead as a" analogy.

Just once, I'd like to play it "normally", so I could hear the SHWEET One Winged Angel theme...but then, I might lose. :p

*listens to the One Winged Angel theme on the soundtrack* :p

But yeah, KOTR just makes that game way too easy... Well, okay, so maybe Ruby WEAPON is still hard even with it. Stupid thing counters with Ultima if you use KOTR on it. It'll even interrupt a W-Summon so it can cast Ultima right after the first KOTR, and then again after the second time. >_<

Oh, and yes, you can counterattack in the very last fight. I tried just sitting there without attacking one time, until he finally smacked me for about 7000 damage, and I counterattacked and killed him with that. Not nearly as impressive as finishing with Omnislash, heh.

Don't do KOTR twice with W-Summon! >_<
You cast Hades, and then KOTR. Then you can Mime that, and the poor sucker doesn't get a chance to heal from the Stop that gets cast on it.
Well... you still have to find a way to deal with the tentacle things as you do so, without messing up your miming

(Come come O come, do not let me die...") You're right--One Winged Angel NEVER gets old, heh.

I have yet to take on the Ruby and Emerald WEAPONS. Anybody wanna give me any pointers to remember before I finally work up the energy to face off with them?
