Kayla: I have to call him, but how?? Kayla reached for the phone, hesitated and drew back her hand. She held it close to her hand and sighed. Kayla: I'll see him at school tomorrow..... ------------------------------ Kayla woke up the next morning and sat on the bus next to Ashlee. They talked about Rori on the way. Kayla: Rori's nice and all..... She stopped when Rori put her hand on her shoulder. Rori: Did I heard my name? Rori swung himself into the seat. Kayla blushed as the warmth from his hand dove deep into her body. She sighed and turned to him. She started to speak, but it only came out as a stutter. Kayla: H-i-i-i-i-i-i-i..... Rori: Hi to you to.. Ashlee: Come on guys. Home room is about to start. She said as she grabbed Kayla.and whispered in her ear. Ashlee: Now if hes going to like you, he won't be liking the stuttering Hunter. And not the one who wears he hair in ribbons all the time and wears kilts. He needs to see you in your pretty form. Kayla: But I could never be pretty. Ashlee: I'll help. Thats what friends are for! Ashlee hugged Hunter and they walked off to class.Rori standing puzzled behind them. When Ryan saw her he stood up and walked to the bottom of the stairs. Jaimie felt a slight hand on her back as she fell down the rest of the way only to be caught by her boyfriend. I was gone all week I must have not read the dance part. ---------------------- Kayla tried on a few dresses, when she flipped out and through her dresses all over her room. Ashlee was over helping her get ready and getting ready herself. Kayla: I think I like the black one. Ashlee: I'm wearing the green. Kayla: You look nice in that one. They got ready and put their hair up. Ashlee did an up-do and Kayla did an up-do with chopsticks. Kayla: What if we stand in the corner the whole time. What if Rori asks me!!??But he won't he hardly knows me. Ashlee: You never know.... They grabbed their handbags and walked out the front door. Kayla's sisters friends brother drove them. ---------------------- They entered the gym to where the lights were dimmed and music was playing. Kayla tightened the grip on her purse and blushed when Rori walked by holding two glasses. Kayla: He's holding two glasses...Hes with another girl!!! Ashlee: I thought you didn't like him.. So..... you look like you have a question on you mind.........why dont you ask it? Leigh: OK i will. Why did you leave? Derek: Well like joey, i needed to get out of this envorment. Dads drinking and moms drug problems were just way to much. So went to Aunt Rachels house. Well joey went first. By the time i decided to go there joey had alredy left. Leigh: That lady is insane you know that right Derek: Yes but... it was so much better then living with someone with a disease of acoholism and someone with a drug addiction. Leigh: Your right...i would chose insanity over...them.. but now its changed. And Derek...What made you came back? Derek: Remember the last hting i said to you was.... Leigh: Um.... not completely Derek: I said.. "When things get batter ill be back" Unlike joey who just said "i wont be comeing back". It was his choise... Leigh: I guess your right She curled up on the couch more and closed the window. Derek joined her on the couch. Her wraped an arm around her and rested his head on her shoulder. Derek: You know...what i think Leigh: Know whats in your head....riiight.... Derek: You were...about the only friend i had...sure your a sister but.. you were also like...a best friend to me. Leigh: Yeah... but friends dont leave eachother Derek: Yes they do.... only the true friends have heart enough to come back.. Leigh smiled and turned on the tv and they sat there... watching all the oldest movies they could find. Like...The count of monte cristo. And even some good black and white movies. Leigh sighed and turned back to Kayla. Leigh: Well... Leigh looked back at her brother. Leigh: I'm going out for a while.. She closed the door slightly. Then reopened it just again. When the Aerosmith song "I don't want to miss one thing." (the one from Armageddon) started up, the two started dancing real slow and Jaimie put her head on Ryan's shoulder and closed her eyes, Ryan and her kept dancing all the way through the song. Once the song was finished the two went to a table and sat down for awhile. He winked at me and played "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing". I felt Ryan's arms wrapp around my waist gently. My hands found his neck. It seemed as if we were floating on a cloud. I burried my head in his shoulder. He kissed the top of my head, I looked up and saw his pretty green eyes and saw the blue in them sparkle in the dim lit room. The song felt like it would never end. He kissed me once and whispered "I love you" in my ear. Then,out of no where the song ended. I bit my lip as if we wern't ever going to dance again. I kissed him and he led me to a table where we sat down. He left to go get some drinks. I noticed a familiar face in the croud and called to her. Me: Hey, Leigh I thought you weren't coming. Leigh: I thought so too. By the way, you look grat in that dress. Me: Thanks, that was the best dance I've ever had, and to think it was my first. She smiled at me and watched Ryan come back and sit down. Ryan: Oh hey, Leigh. Leigh: Hi. You two looked great dancing. Me/Ryan: Thank you. :) Leigh,Ryan and I talked some more, then Ryan and I left to dance again. This time to "As Long as You Love Me". Kayla thought that maybe if they thought that Kayla hated Leigh they would give her the flyers to alter more. She went upstairs and got in her pink pajamas with the magenta spots, and lay on her bed. Kayla: I hope the flyers printed well, so they know its me... Kayla fell asleep soon on her bed with a magazine in her hand. ---------------------- [I]The next morning...[/I] Kayla walked down the school halls. People pointed at her and laughed others threw things at her, but she just kept walking and laughed.Ashlee caught up with her and was suprised. Ashlee: This was in my locker...Very good. That afternoon, they were suposed to be practicing their musical lesson but really found it hard to concentrate. They sat on the couch in her living room when Percy decided to pay them a visit. Now, being the pushy pug he was/is,he pushed his way in between Jaimie and Ryan's lap. They pet him for a little bit and then pushed him off the couch. He walked away trying to find her mom for attention. Jaimie and Ryan gazed into eachothers eyes. Nothing was going to break that moment.....Until...Jaimie heard the light tapping on the window. A sign that it was going to rain. The tapping got harder, she jumped up and grabbed his hand. She pulled him outside. She began to spin around like a ballerina, taking in the cool water drops. She let the splash apon her face then fall to the ground. She noticed Ryan just standing there. She thought for a second,then charged at him. They hit the ground with a saticfying thud. She just laughed as he made a face as if he were a wet cat. Jaimie: Oh come on! Lighten up! Ryan: That's easy to say for you... Jaimie: Yeah, it is but oh well. She kissed him pashionatly and climbed off of him. She bagan to spin around again. She saw him smile and get up. He steped on the porch and just watched her. Every time she faced in his direction, she would wink or blow a kiss at him. The rain finally died down about an hour or so later. They walked inside. She changed her clothes and found some of her dad's old clothes he left behind for Ryan to wear. She was wearing a black, velvet shirt that laced up half way down the shirt and some tight black jeans. It was really rare to see her in tight clothes but she didn't care. The phone rang in the kitchen. Jaimie's mom called her in and said it was her father. Jaimie: Hey, Daddy! Jaimie's dad: Hey, Sweetie, how's it goin? Jaimie: Oh, just fine. You? Dad: I'm doing great. Hey, when's your next long holiday? Do you want to come visit me back in New Orleans. Jaimie remembered how much fun she had in New Orleans. It was were she was from. She moves to Kansas when her parents split up when she was 12. Jaimie: Yeah! Dad: Great! I hope to see you then. Call me later when you know what day it is. Jaimie: Okay. Dad: I love you Sweetie. Jaimie: I love you too Daddy. They hung up and she went back to tell Ryan about her dad.
