What is your favourite type of game and what is your worst type?

For me i find shooting/fighting games are the best!! Anything with violence and gore will do me fine, but games I like least are racing ones and sorry for all you fans out there I get bored on RPGs. Turn based games bore me because i like to fight, but GBA RPGs are cool! :D

It depends on how well the game is done for me. I like RPG's the most but I often try to find the one's with potential and such so I wouldn't buy any melons. Action/Adventures are great if you add variety. It's a pain doing the same thing over and over again. Racing are good if you have alot of cars and customizing options. Gran Turismo 3 was great for that and I can't wait to try out Auto Modellista next year!! Its either that or it has to be just plain fun like the Super Mario Kart games. Only puzzle games I liked was Tetris and Tetris Attack. Flight are also my favorites but the only series to do it right was the Ace Combat series. I can't wait how Ace Combat 5 comes out.... (Online play... *drools*) Ugh... I hate fighting games... I just suck. Period. I can do moves and such but when I go up against someone I'll lose. My little bro did this to me... To hell with that new DBZ ps2 game... I play Marvel VS Capcom 2 with him and you have yourself a DBZ fight right there, but I usually lose. -_- I rule in Pocket Fighter though. :P Lastly shooters, I like it when its realistic like Counter Strike and SOCOM. Other times if multiplayer is fun and fair, its all good. Everything else just suck.

Hmmmmm...

I couldnt say one game is better than the other for me. I would rather say that it is all about the execution of the game.

I love racing, flying, shooting, adventure, mecha, hack and slash, and of course, a good strategy game.

Im as good at one as I am all the rest, but Im not the best at any. Except maybe racing since I can get gold on all licenses in gran turismo 1 & 2, just need to get my hands on 3.

Well I must say I like fun racing games such as mario kart, but gran turismo hmm maybe it's the simple fact that I'm not that good at those sort.

Games like Tekken I rather like, but do get boring after constant play. Shooting games are really good, but seem to be shorter like say the James Bond games. GTA is excellent though, but if you have ever played The Bouncer I like those sorts of games they need to make more but alot longer as I rented The Bouncer out for the weekend once and completed 5 times and got bored. I find the MGS games cool, but number 2 is well short and well I couldn't be bothered to get all the dog tags. Finally I really like Onimushu 2 (finished as well :D)if you have played that, but I should stop complaining it's probably not the games being to short, I think it's me being simply too good!!! *jokes*

I'm with you. I couldn't live without shooting/fighting games. I guess I just grew up playing 'em.

I also like strategy, because it makes you think, and it makes you get all mad. And then you throw your controller at the TV because you can't find the gosh darn sword.no.lol I like 'em because they make you think, like I said. I don't like 'em when they make me madder than heck.

I agree with you there, but it's with any hard game really! If I do really well then muck up at last second or can't find something (which equals annoying) then I kick then wall or chuck the controller lol. If I have a mate round i like to take my stress from games out on them . Adding to the games I must put Resident Evil for Gamecube as it's pure genius and The Getaway which I am just managing to get the hang of Woohoo :D.

I like all types of games. However won't refuse to play a game just because it has a genre that I don't like. Take Metal Gear Solid I + II as an example. I'm not to fond of 3-D adventure games but i love that one. I judge each game separately and don't assume i will get the same game play from every game in the same category.
If i had to choose a favourite type of game it would be fighting (aslong as it had a story to maximise playability value)
If i had to choose my worst type of game it would be driving. I just think that they get too repetitive and have no replay value whatsoever.

:D I suuck at racing games, I love RPGs tho, the graphics don't particularly bother. What annoys me is if you don't have any plot twists. I don't mind a complicated plot, It makes me wanna play the game again. But a plot that never changes just bores me.
I really hate racing games tho:D

RPG's are good as you usually play them for longer than others and usually are more challenging, but I just get more thrills out of shoot em' ups games if that makes sense. Gore equals good, but I enjoy games where you walk around and fight people (minority report and Dynasty warriors series)! Best type of games you like?

I love most kinds of games... But most Sports games I don't like. I mean, what's the point? Go out and play the real game, you know?

I have a soft spot for Strategy and FPS game, of course. Not to mention Beat 'em ups and the like... Of course, Arcade Shoot 'em ups will always hold a special place in my heart.

I suppose, but most sports I suck at especially skateboarding lol and I'm too lazy so I usually buy a football game once every few years. Sometimes skating or BMX games and usually a few wrestling ones.

All the games you like I agree on although as long as they are not short FPS games, as they make me angry! :flaming: Short games I reckon should be cheaper as finishing games in a day is really taking the ****.

Mainly fighting games. First of all dome of the first games I ever enjoyed were fighting games for the SNES. Killer Instinct, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Mortal Kombat, ect. Also, I love unlocking stuff. Allot of fighting games allow to unlock characters and stages. Plus, nothing beats taking your stress out on the controller. :p

My least favorite would be puzzle. Simply because they seem to long and boring to hold my attention. And I suck at them.

I like to try out all sorts of videogames, but my favorites are RPGs and Fighting games. I play Tekken so much it's not even funny. I'm the Tekken Queen around where I live. (Of course, this one big FAT kid beat the CRAP out of me at the arcade one day...pissed me off... :shifty: ). RPG wise, I've played a pretty good bit of those. I like the Final Fantasy's, Chrono Cross, Lunar, Legend of Dragoon, stuff like that. And even though it's not in same genre, I'm a big Resident Evil fan, too.

Games I don't care for are Sports games and sometimes racing games. But racing games only because my dad plays them and takes up the PS for HOURS and wont let anyone else play. Sports games because I don't like sports...
