Locke, freeing his mind, sped the bullets up on his own, doging them and blasting another Delta behind him to shreds. A third Delta rushed him, but locke jumped into the air, landing on the Delta and breaking his back. The fourth Delta jumped at him at high speed, but Locke backed away and forced his sword square into Delta's chest. The fith and final Delta fired a gun point-blank at Locke's chest, but the bullet never exited the barrel....by the right end. The bullet, forced by Locke's mind, exited through the back end, traveled down Delta's arm, and into his brain after flying from his elbow. The first one, however, was more skilled and much faster than the rest. He blitzed Locke, pounding him into the wall. Locke collapsed, his mouth spraying blood as he coughed violently. Delta picked him up by the hair and whispered in his ear.[/i] [b]Delta:[/b]Before I kill you, just know that I wll immensely enjoy killing Siren slowly, and painfully. I will enjoy to the fullest her agonizing, fruitless call for help through your name. [i]Anger soared in Locke's mind, raging out of control.[/i] [b]Locke:[/b]NOBODY HURTS SIREN!!!!!!! GRAAGHH!!!!! [i]With a fierce kick, Locke broke free of the grip. Suddenly, he was on his feet, focusing energy into his hand, igniting it with green flame and forcing it square into Delta's chest, bursting him into pieces. The clear box disappeared, freeing Locke. Siren had stopped trying to get out of her trap. and most of the others had stopped, too. They'd heard his yell and seen the elemental punch.[/i] [b]Neo:[/b]Locke....you have exceeded the limits of the Matrix. You are ready. They have almost mastered the Matrix, but there was something still to come. Something Neo couldn't possibly ever break. He was scared of the actual truth. She looked around at the others, avoiding Locke's gaze Siren: I'm going back... If you need me... I'll be in my room... Cat? Dissconnect me... [i]With a metallic hiss, he phazed back into his body. He stood up and cracked his back after returning to the real world. He looked over at Cat, who pointed towards Siren's room and nodded. Locke sighed and walked into Siren's room, placing a hand on her shoulder while she lay down in her bed.[/i] [b]Siren:[/b]Why? Why did you scream that? Why me? Locke: I don't expect you to love me back... I just wanted you to know... Siren turned over to face the wall and sighed... Siren: What am I supposed to say? How am I supposed to feel? She turned back and sat up, moving so both of them could sit... Siren: I've supressed my feelings for so long to become the perfect emotionless wrepon... I'm not sure i've felt anything sincere other than rage and hate for a long time... I just need some time... Time to understand how I feel... He grabbed his necklace again on an impulse, trying hard not to cry. Siren noticed his sudden movement and saw the necklace.[/i] [b]Siren:[/b]What's that? [b]Locke:[/b]It's...it's nothing. Just something I made. [b]Siren:[/b]Really? Let me see it. [i]Against Locke's restraints, she reached over and took the necklace, staring at the heart shape and the inscribed "S". She saw a tear roll from Locke's eyes as she turned it over to the side with a steel-carved inscription made by tiny tools used with the expert hands and eyes of a professional thief.[/i] [b]Inscription:[/b]Love has driven me on. One day, I hope to die with her for whom I make this necklace for. Always, with love for Siren, shall I fight. IC: Somewhere, an icy wall began to melt inside her and she placed a hand on his shoulder... Siren: Please... Don't cry... Hesitently she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him... She wiped a tear from his face and looked at it as all she had taught herself about the conciquences of a feeling came crashing down around her ears... I'll see you tomarrow... Locke... She watched as he left, a smile on his face... She curled up in her blanket and began to drift, pondering her life as an emotionless bodyguard... She smiled... Siren: Emotion was never a weakness... But a strength... She looked at the necklace he had given her... Siren: I would do anything for him.... Neo seemed confused to see a cat sitting outside of the ship. How could that be possible? A message arrived for Neo on the monitor. [I]"Follow the black cat..."[/I] "It...It can't...can't be... I'm sorry to people who still want to play, but I'm going on a leave for a funeral, and I'm afraid I won't have time to continue the RPG. Neo followed the black cat to it's final location, the entrance to Zion. Why had it been there? All of a sudden an image of a familiar figure appeared. It was Agent Smith.... "Hello Mr. Anderson. It's good to see you." Neo could hear his voice through the deck. As soon has he did, he came rushing out of the ship in the cold desert. He looked over at the unreal figure and wondered how any of this could be possible. He knelt and threw up. A quick recovery was made, and Neo got back on his feet, glancing over at the stern man once again. "How..." Smith: "You'll never escape our power Neo. You're weak, and powerless to do anything against what we have over you people. You'll never escape our pit, you'll just keep falling, like the scum that you are. Did you really believe that you are 'The One'? Such a thing to laugh at....The Matrix will ALWAYS have you Mr. Anderson. There's no point in resistance." Neo: "What the hell!!??! This...this...can't be...Morpheus showed me...The images, our ship, the people-" Smith: "All but figures in another realm pulled over your eyes. You see why technology is stronger then man? Do you see the irony of how machine was made to improved society of man, and yet lead to it's downfall? You've wasted your time here, and with that crew..." The rest of the crew gathered behind Neo. They couldn't believe their eyes of the sight. Smith spoke his story again, and soon the other members caught on to what he was saying. Cat: "My god..." Smith: "Now if you will, give me the access codes to Zion." Neo, jerked his head up immediately from his strain of anxiety. He had an angered look on his face. Without another thought, he ran and charged at the Agent. The image disappeared. Locke: "That thing will kill us...get back into the ship!" Neo: "No. He made his mistake. He wanted access codes to Zion, a place by his logic shouldn't exist." Neo looked over at his shoulder, and tore the rag covering it. He asked Locke to hand him a knife, and he did so. Neo began mutilating himself by cutting a single line down his shoulder. With his other hand, he reached in and grabbed the smallest nanochip. "The Metacortex building, remember? A plan to keep us down from our goals." He angrily through the chip on the ground. "This will never stop us. Remove this from your minds. It was planted in us when we were in the Matrix." A sigh of relief came from many. [i]Two weeks later, about a month before Reloaded[/i].... "It's time Neo. We must enter The Gate. It holds the key to our victory..." said a familiar voice, that of Morpheus. "What? Some kind of device...Or something that I can make implode or destroy?" replied Neo. "No Neo. Every computer has its programs to store information. I believe that Machines have found a way into Zion...And there's only one person to stop him. Unfortunately, he is being heavily guarded by virii programs..." "I think I could handle it. So who is it?" "The Keymaker." To be continued...In The Matrix: Reloaded. May, 2003.
