Almost everyone I've talked to has said Golden Sun is really good, although I haven't actually played it myself. It's probably one of the better RPGs on the GBA, I guess.

You simply can't go wrong with Zelda: A Link to the Past or Metroid Fusion, though... Or Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 and Mario Kart: Super Circuit, if you don't already have those. Yoshi's Island: SMA3 is also pretty good.

I don't know, though, it really just depends on what types of games you like. There's pretty much good ones for everyone on the GBA, and it's kinda hard to list them all. (Though being the Zelda fanatic that I am, I'm afraid I must threaten you with a large stick if you don't get Zelda). ;)

Hmmm, heres the games I HIGHLY recommend.

Metroid Fusion

Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past

Yoshi's Island

Contra Advanced

Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland

Lord of the Rings: The 2 Towers(but then again, I recommend a better version of this one. Mainly the PS2 version). But if you dont care about graphics, and just into gameplay like myself, then khop the GBA version.

Bomberman Tournament

Pac-Man Advanced(Man, this game'll get ya hooked. ^_^)

Megaman Zero

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.

The main one I recommend though is Metroid Fusion. You can never get enough of that game. Now, you could get you one of them FlashAdvanced cards and do like I do and downlo.....nevermind. :D But go check them games out I-ight. Peace!

It's obvious that three games are above the rest: Metroid Fusion, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and Golden Sun. These three titles are instant classics, original to the system (as opposed to mere Super Nintendo ports).

Metroid Fusion and Castlevania: HOD are vast side scrolling adventures that feature more depth and content than most next generation title. Furthermore, their storylines are rich (especially Metroid's) and their graphics are bright and colorful on the screen, making them easy on your eyes.

Golden Sun, as Desbreko stated, is one of the best RPGs on the system. It's even been compared to PSX and PS2 titles in the genre in terms of quality. The Djin (sp) summoning system was entertaining and cleverly conceived from what I can remember. It was deeper than simple summoning. Plus, the dungeon crawling was similar to that of Wild Arms or Zelda, featuring puzzles that depend on utilizing your magic spells.

You can't go wrong with any of these games. My overall top pick stands as Metroid Fusion though.

Hmm... I'd have to say that you need to get Zelda: A Link to the Past, it's a really great game. Other than that, my friend says that Metroid Fusion is very good and I hear nice things about Golden Sun too. :)

here it is. i own Metroid Fusion and Golden Sun. They both kick arse. These are some of the best games I have ever owned. I bought Golden Sun through EB by preorder (sometime at the start of this year I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) and I still play it, trying to get over level 70. :D They are probably the best games on that lil portable system of fun. I have no comments on other games as I have not played them. Oh, DON'T get Doom. Too easy (I beat it in one week) and no real long term value.

Well, the recommendation that you avoid my big stick by getting Zelda might change your mind...

Heheh, just kidding. From everything I've heard, it's hard to go wrong with Golden Sun. I keep thinking I should pick it up when I've got the money, but other games keep getting in the way... Like the two Metroid games, heh.

It really depends on what type of games you are into. If it is your first time playing an RPG, or if you aren't a hard-core gamer, i wouldn't really reccommend Golden Sun.
