Despite some of the negative comments you may have read about this series, I can tell you first hand it is actually quite good, after watching episodes 1-7 I already love this series, being a long-time gundam veteran Gundam SEED is a welcome change, the animation and sound quality are superb :love: , The story itself is also unique in its own sense except for the masked man Rau Ru Cruize =P. So far the series has played out nicely. although i am looking forward to watching alot more in-depth/longer battles between the 5 Gundams. =] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fortunately, SEED doesn't carry on the annoying character introductions that plagues many of the Gundam series', and all the characters were presented to us very professionally, and believably. Domon Posted December 24, 2002 Share Posted December 24, 2002 Well i haven't seen the series itself but i've seen some very impressive pictures of it and i agree the animation looks splendid, all i'm really waiting for are Double Zeta, Zeta, Forumla 91, Victory Gundam, and Turn-A gundam, i would really like to see those. Turn a Gundam on the other hand is very unique, and puts a very intresting spin on the Gundam Universe. As for Double Zeta ='{ I have yet to see the whole series, I'm only about 2 episodes in =P. Then theres Zeta Gundam *.* what a splendid series that is, alot of action, and it contains a few of my favorite mecha designs namely the Z-Gundam and the Hyaku Shiki (sp?, I know I got it wrong -_-"). btw I guess most of you know tis but Z-Gundam has already been planned for U.S. release, I beleive sometime in 2003. :blush: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Domon Posted December 24, 2002 Share Posted December 24, 2002 Well the reason Victory was somewhat of a letdown was because i heard that when it was created was when the creator was majorly depressed so that's why Victory focuses so much on the gloom and doom topic but i heard that the music scores, character development, etc. was splendid i've heard nothing but rave reviews about it. Seed is an interesting series, but it's hardly worthy of watching anything past the catch intro song. The whole Gundam idea is so played out. X was by far the most enjoyable series. Hittokiri Zero Posted December 26, 2002 Author Share Posted December 26, 2002 Your question is irrelevant considering the fact i that in my first post I stated i've only seen episodes 1-7, we also have confirmed that I get the episodes from you, so there is no need for me to keep up on the latest downloads :p but anyway Anime Junkies is fansubbing SEED and i beleive there on episdoe 10 or 11 =P, although it's been stated throughout the Gundam Community that their (AnimeJunkies) subs, aren't 100% correct and are somewhat distorted.:p Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like how the ending theme starts playing before the episode ends. I like Kira Yamato, since he is a nice change from the darker heroes of the other Alternate-Universe series. VP-Master Posted January 8, 2003 Share Posted January 8, 2003 I've heard a lot of ppl say SEED doesnt compare to other Gundam series but it's enjoyable with an interesting story and some fun characters. The animation is superb but probably not much different from other modern anime like Kenshin and FMP. I've only seen up to ep 7 (the fansub group releases slowly, but does quality subs; a lot better than aj's) but I'm looking forward to see what lies ahead. Turn-A, from what I heard about it, it doesn't sound like Gundam. And it didn't even look like a Gundam either. The whole evolving thing sounded cool, but wasn't enough to get me interested. I was gonna start buying the tapes of Zeta but the quality was so bad it was unbearable. Anyway, you guys say you downloaded it off the net eh? By any chance is it Kazaa? Hittokiri Zero Posted January 12, 2003 Author Share Posted January 12, 2003 Z-Gundam can be donwloaded off Kazaa, there are 2 versiosn the high and low quality Z_Gundam eps, teh low quality eps are actually beareable to watch, to if you cant find all hihg-quality eps then the low quality ones should be fine. I saw episodes 1-10 over the weekend and by Odin's beard this is a great Gundam series. The sound and animation is just awesome. X-105 Strike Gundam puts my Wing Zero Custom to shame! The cockpit of the Mobile Suits look like cockpits should look like. Not a small black room with 3 monitors and 2 control sticks. Anyway, I'm at work right and and set my computer on auto to keep downloading episodes 11-14. If all goes well it should be done by the time I get back... its just that its driving me crazy that Kazaa only has 14 shows now and I heard from a very reliable source that the series is about 49 episodes long. And to make it worse... these are some big files and I always have trouble running videos that are more than 200 MB! (damn computer is too damn slow to run the action packed scenes) >_< I NEED MORE GUNDAM! EDIT: I just saw the episodes 11-14.... This show is relentless. One bad thing just happens after another and because of it I want to see more! But now I'm stuck at Episode 14 until Animejunkies releases the next few shows. I have to see this series all the way...
