Movie Actors!

There are so many good movies out there, but I'm interested in who you think are good actors! If you wish I wouldn't mind knowing who you think are bad actors as well.

Reasons please would be nice like I find the duo of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker very good and funny. They are just total opposites and Chan brings the action while Tucker brings the laughter. Can't wait till Rush Hour 3! That was an example of actors I like what about you lot?

I will reply more later ... :demon:

some actors I like Johnny Depp, Elijah Wood, Nicholas Cage, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Sean Connery, and Winona Ryder. that's what I could think of at the top of my head, anyway. EDIT: argh, I forgot George Clooney and Sandra Bullock :cross:.

can't stand Jim Carey for the life of me. I like a few of his movies, but for the most part he grates on my nerves.

Well I'm basing it on who you think are good actors. You can say whether you like them or not though that's cool.

Jackie Chan I've always like his action pack movies (loads more but carries on my example) but he is getting a bit old now and I think the best replacement for his kung fu like ways has to be Jet Li! Rush Hour 3 will be good though as Tucker and Chan good combination.

Yeah I like most of those actors others- Pierce Brosnan, Stephen Segal, Wesley Snipes, Eddie Murphy, etc.

anyone else?

Some of my favourite actors would have to be:

1) Samuel L. Jackson - For his ability to play a broad range of roles very well;

2) Jackie Chan - Always pushing stunts further, with lots of dare-devil acts in his movies and sometimes a good storyline too :);

3) Robert DeNiro - An excellent actor, I suppose I love his voice the most, it just has a certain quality about it;

4) Jet Li - Has starred in a lot of films, some of the older ones are actually good, the stunt sequences are incredible in quite a few.

I think I'll edit my list a bit later, once I can think of some more actors/actresses.

oooo...

1) Jackie Chan- He does his own stunts, does a great job on screen... need I say more? ^_-

2) Orlando Bloom- Eeee!! ^^ *hides under table and huggles plushie*

3) Will Smith- He's a great actor and singer, as well as doing a great job as a dad. his movies were all awesome, and I look forward to his new movie oming out. ^_^

4) Viggo Mortensen- He was awesome in LoTR, and 28 days, his stunts were awesome, and I was pretty surprised at how well he acted...

5) Sandra Bullock- omg, I loved Miss Congeniality (sp?). Alot of her movies were great, and I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing Two Weeks Notice soon, as well. I think she's pretty good when it comes to acting.

6) Halle Berry- She's played in multiple great films, and also went through many hard obstacles to achieve her goals. I recently began watching some of her movies, and they've all been pretty good. ^^

My favourite duo has to be Martin Lawrence & Tim Robbins in the film "Nothing to lose". Martin who plays Terrance has atitude and makes you laugh. Tim who plays Nick is more serious but has a funny side, e.g. he has hilarious facial reactions. The pair are a perfect combo which makes the movie itself relly good. I recommend that you watch it. It has got to be the funniest film that I have ever seen.

I thought more would be going on here since I've been gone for a week, but I guess not heh. I missed my computer and my fish died... That's about all that happened. Anyway...

Johnny Depp is hands down my favorite actor. I think I've said it before here, but he is capable of many very diverse roles and personalities... I also think he has saved quite a few crappy to average movies based on his acting alone. I think what seals it though would be Edward Scissorhands. Depp shows more emotion and personality with simple facial expressions and body language than many actors show in several movies (perhaps even their careers if they are that bad).

Other than that... I like Brad Pitt and Keven Spacey.

Other good actors are Bruce Willis, Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry, Will Smith, Hugh Grant, Tommy Lee Jones, Nicolas Cage. I like Jim Carey too, though there are some movies he played in that I didn't like. There are tons more but those are the only ones I can think of at tho moment.

Personally I think that Tom Hanks is a great actor. Although I don't like him that much. He is the most paid actor, and he gets paid a lot, so he's doing pretty good. He's just not my favorite. My favorite is Eddie Murphy.

He's my favorite because he is so funny. And when your fealing depressed, you can watch one of his movies, and it'll cheer you up. Though it does depend on how depressed you are.

Jackie Chan: He is the best martial artist in the world, I don't care if someone can prove me wrong. He just is. Always doing stunts, making me laugh, and pulling of some amazing ****. He is the best at what he does, no doubt about that.

Jet Li: Great martial artist, ok actor. The One, was an awesome movie.

Keanu Reeves: I hate this guy so much, but he is in the Matrix. So kudos to him for that.

Bing's Top 10 Actors

These aren't in order of favouratism, just random.

1) Orlando Bloom -Mainly because he is Legolas *joins Juuthena under the table*
2) Nicholas Cage -Probably because of Face Off
3) Samuel L. Jackson -He was amazing in Unbreakable, and I have liked all his other films
4) Bruce Willis -He was also amazing in Unbreakable, and superb in the Die Hard trilogy. I also really liked Armageddon
5) Harrison Ford -Everything he has ever done, especially the Indiana Jones trilogy
I also really like Ricky Gervais, I think he is so funny, especially in 'The Office', but he's not a Movie Actor.

Edit- Silly me, there are only 5, thanks for pointing that out!

I'm not sure if I mentioned Tom Cruise in previous posts, but he does a great job especially in Mission Impossible 1 + 2 and Minority Report. Jet Li will definetely take over Jackie Chan's style of acting as Chan took over from Bruce Lee! I'll miss him! :(

Any other actors or duos you like? :naughty:

My top 5 favourite actors:

Michelle Rodriguez - Great actress and is soo hot!! :love: *Looks at avatar and sig then drools*

Bruce Lee - Although he may be dead, in my opinion he is worlds greatest martial artist and a talented actor. R.I.P :(

Jet Li - A very talented martial artist and a good actor, I prefer his chinese movies to his hollywood movies, although The One was very good.

Jackie Chan - Again a very talented martial artist and good actor, he's an even better stunt man, but you'll find that most chinese actors do their own stunts because chinese films usually have a pretty low budget.

Laurence Fishburn - A very talented actor, his two best roles would have to be "Morpheus" from the Matrix and his role as "Captain Miller" in Event Horizon (which is one of my favourite films).

If we can count television actors, I think that Ed O'Neal is very underrated.

For movies, I think my fovorite actors are as follow:

- Al Pacino: good in most dramatic roles, and althought the last couple have been s**t, he does good in most everthing he is in.
_Edward Norton- one of my favorite actors of all time in any genre of film.
-Salma Hayek: Norton's main squeez, was great in most films but Frida is going to blow everyone away.
-Angelina Jolie- has a style unmatched by so many people, and a fine dramatic actress.

I will probably edit to add more, but here are some of the bad eggs in the nest.

-Vin Diesal: look that is mediocre at best, lines make me want to release feces, and he is not the biggest action star. The loser needs to stop trying to make memorable one-liners, because it isn't going to happen.
-jLo:has the talent and the look to do great things, has done great things in the theatre, but has been really pointless to watch as of late. "The Wedding Planner" was alright, "Angel Eyes" is a complete disappointment, and "Enough" crappier still.
