Valen
I just witnessed my dad propose to my mom after 17 years of being together. That feeling you get when you see something like that is like a... I don't really know how to describe it, it's just a very warm feeling that you will probably never feel ever again. I mean... wow. It was so beautiful. He got her the ring for Christmas, but kept it from her until just a few minutes ago. It was a very special thing and I just wanted to share it. So have you ever witnessed something like this? Or proposed on a major holiday as this?

amibasuki
heh, I know we could sure use a little bit of that this year.....not necessarily the proposals or something, but the feeling that people don't hate each other's guts, you know?
Valen
Yeah, I know what you mean. That's been going on too long for my blood. But damn that was cool... first time I've ever seen something like that up close. It's not as easy as they make it look on television and the movies... it's also much more emotional... I hope everyone gets to do/witness something like that...
amibasuki
that must've been awesome. I'm not trying to be stupid (can't help it sometimes :p), but what's the deal with your dad proposing to your mom if they've been together for 17 years? have they just been living together, or is it like a renewal [sp] of vows, or what? jus' curious and whatnot.
Valen
Well, it was mostly him being afraid to, and yes, they have been living together for 17 years. Sad to wait that long, but he finally got up enough courage to do it and he poured his heart out. Luckily the ring was a perfect fit...
Rain
Well, my brother proposed to his girlfriend on Valentine's Day (o_O...what a romantic?). I wasn't there, but it was really cool when they told us...they came over and said they had something to tell us, and the first thing I thought was that they were engaged. You should have seen mum and my aunt...my ears hurt from the screaming... And congratulations to your parents, Valen ^_^

Vegitto4
I didn't get to see my step dad propose to my mom, but meh. I was at the wedding, and walked down the aisle with the rings. So that was cool. I hope that your parents will enjoy the marriage.
Valen
Ah, so you were the Ring Bearer or whatever eh? That's cool, I hope they'll enjoy it too... They want to do it on my mom's birthday... (I think he's afraid he'll forget the day. Lol.)
Ryan
That is very great, Valen. The smart thing to do is to get married on the man's birthday so that he won't ever forget the anniversary. I would never forget though. I have a very good memory.
Valen
Lol Ryan, that would work, but he wants to get married on a weekend, and my mom's b-day just so happens to be on a weekend... So they decided on her b-day...
