SS4Gogeta_ICE
HAY DUDES i just wanted to ask (for those of you who have seen the DBZ movies) if there is any moderate swearing in them... Is there two different versions of the movies you can buy, or only one? Im looking for the little more hardcore version. Well, I downloaded koolers return in japanease, with english subtitles and there was a few swears, which is excellent. = ) anyway just tell me what the deal is! thanks d00ds!
PiroMunkie
Yes, if you find the original versions with some decent subtitles you will find some light swearing. Nothing too 'horrible' or anything. I do not believe they say anything worse than "damn". If they do, it is probably something the person/people who subtitled it put in there themselves. Most videos of the series that you will find in stores only contain the dubbed and edited version. I do not think you can find professionally subbed VHS tapes... not that I have found anyway. However, the DVD's come with both the American dub, and the original Japanese version with subtitles. I hope that answers your question enough...
Jinzouningen17
Yeah. I remember in movie 2(which was done by Pioneer), Dr. Wheelo(I think that was the robot. I havent watched Movie 2 in a fresh minute.)said "damn" one time, in the same movie that old scientists stated hell once, and in the first episode of the Garlic Jr. saga(done by Funi), you heard Garlic Jr. state that he was trapped in a frozen "hell" for so many years. So thats pretty much all the cussing that there is in the dubs of DBZ. As for the subs, like PM said, in the original versions, they dont get any worse than a "damn". And in the fansubs, you'll get everyword in the book, but as I stated, it is a FANsub. *shrugs* Hope that helps ya.
