Well assuming u did everything in Garden already, and quisty tells you it's time to go to the fire cavern, first exit the garden. Keep going south til you...er...are out of the garden, then just head East until you get to the cave, that's it. It'll look like a...er...cave by the foresty area.

You don't have to do that. Just hammer him with Shiva, and let the other character draw some magic from Ifrit and then just summon Quezacotl lots. Don't bother with physical attacks unless you start running low on HP. :)

Ermm,before battling Ifrit.....Give Quezecotl to Squall and Junction 100 Blizzara to his Elemental Attack,if you spend time getting 100 blizzard,mastered every ability Quezecoatl has,and Med-magic revining blizzards into Blizzara.

To get blizzards,draw blizzards from Glacier eyes.It's much more safer than Fastiscalon-Fs.I recommend practicing summoning Quezecoatl with boost a lot intil you boost Quezecoatl about 145 for XATM-092,and getting Quezecoatl to about level 20.Also get Shiva to level 21 for my walkthrough :D.

As for Ifrit,equip 100 Blizzara to Squalls Elemental Attack (I beleive that Quezecoatl knows Ele-attack to let squall junction 100 blizzara),equip Shiva to Quistis.I think Squall's attack is much better than Quezecoatl's.Shiva must learn Summagic +10%,+20%,and +30%

Here comes the Walkthrough for Fire Cavern
When you reach the screen where you see 2 guards,Quistis will review of how to use your gunblade,if it is your first time,then you should take it,or just refuse and try to remember.

Then once you talk to the guard,you pick your time,I would select 20 mins,10 mins if you know which way your going....when you're in the cavern.The time should end in :57.Run 2 sceens and you should see a fire drawing point at the right.Ignore that for now and run up.Run 1 more screen and you battle the GF boss of this crazy place....

GF Ifrit

Well,if you pick 10 mins,it should be about 5:00 or 4:00.SKip Squall's turn and start Quistis's turn.Select "GF" but don't summon shiva yet.Wait intil theres 45 secs left then summon Shiva.Then you won against Ifrit.If you didn't,finish him off with Squall's attack.
After the battle,you name Ifrit what ever you want.You can draw the fire spell and get out.Get in Balamb,go to the dorm,and meet Zell.

Hi,

Thanks for the help on my other thread guys. Now I made it to the Communication Tower and after battling Major Biggs this thing (Elvoret?) comes along. I now have 3 Guardian Forces, Ifrit, Quezacotcl, and Shiva. Any tips and how to defeat this?

I merged your two FFVIII help threads. If you have more questions about a game, you can just post them in the first thread, you don't need to make another. Otherwise you're just clogging up the board with tons of help threads. - Desbreko

Ok, first and foremost... DRAW SIREN!

Next, pummel the little neuciance with Squall's Renzokuken, have Zell unleash a GF (Preferably Quetzi) and have Selphie use her [Full Cure] and [Aura] Slot limit break when needed. But you can really just draw Siren and then just wipe it out with GFs... Oh, and watch out for AToXM91 or somethin... he comes right after you beat Enloyle. Don't waste your time trying to beat him. You'll have 30min to get back to the shore, so use that time wisely.

If you'd like a list of enemies to draw from for GFs, here it is:
Siren -- Enloyle

Carbuncle -- The half lizard dudes on the Sorceress mission when you have Irvine

Pandemona -- Fujin in Disc 2 in Balamb
I put your spoiler tags up for you. Next time, please do it yourself. :) -Break

Okay, so that's not all that you draw, but that's all I can remember offhand. But draw from ALL bosses, just incase...

Elvoret Walkthrough....
First make Selphie draw Siren from Elvoret...then start pumelling Elvoret with Quezecoatl and Shiva.Make sure that Selphie has Ifrit,as Ifrit is the weakest GF in the team.Selphie should draw Double intil she get 100.THen after Selphie get 100 Double,Make Zell draw next.THen Squall.When Selphie finished drawing Double then let her summon Ifrit like crazy.

After the battle, get out quick and battle XATM-092.

The battle of the unstopable robotic Spider,XATM-092

If you followed my Walkthrough summon Quezecoatl once and run away.Press right and go down.Once you're going to the 3rd screen hold the right direction button or else you have to beat XATM-092 again.When you get to the 4th screen.Press teh Triangle button and walk down because when you run,you'll be paralyzed and battle XATM-092 yet again...when you get to the next screen after that. WHen you hear XATM-092 jump.Go back.WHen you hear him Jump again go back to the right.After that screen talk to the dog and quickly go down.THen for the rest of the screens,run down and then once you get to the beach,enjoy the awsome FMV :D.
Put the spoiler up for you--again. Please do it yourself next time you're going to post something like that. -Break

Ifrit is NOT the weakest summon on the team. He is the second strongest, only falling behind Quetzi... That is, when they both have BOOST... But I found it rather easy to go in with Squall's HP at like... 110 or so and just Renzokuken your way to victory... same with RoboCo-- RoboSpider...

Oh yeah,there's an alternate way of destroying XATM-092.
Refine Thunders to Thundaras,junction 100 thundaras to Squall's Elemental Attack,then do what Valen said.

If you want to deal more damage to XATM-092 in renzokuken,get Shiva junctioned to Squall and junction 100 waters to his Strength.If squall's HP is lower than 10,consinderate your lucky,because Squall's renzokuken damage will be insanely high for a low level character.
I didn't understand any of the second paragraph. Improve the quality of your posts. I hate deciphering them. -Break

The reason I said that Ifrit is the weakest in the team beause when I played it in that area,Shiva was about 19 LEVELS ABOVE Ifrit's.

..Right. I'm really sick of having to put spoiler tags on the posts in this thread, just because you're too lazy to do them or just "forgot". This is taking up some of my valuable time that I need to spend in other forums too.

If one more person "forgets" the spoiler tag, I will ridicule them in front of everyone posting in this thread for not obeying this little message by me.

Over and out.

Does anyone know where you get Eden?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He is a GF I don't know where to get him or who you draw him from if ya draw him at all.
*combines posts* Please don't double post, as it's against the rules. In the future, use the "Edit" button. Thanks. - Desbreko
When you get the ragnarok (spaceship.. if you don't know what I mean you can't get Eden yet, I don't think.. or maybe you can with the garden but I never noticed..), if you fly to the very left corner of the world map, you'll find a small island (I mean.. REALLY small, you can't walk about on it in the world map or anything), that you can land on, called the Deep Sea Research Centre (trust me, that'll make more sense when you try it).
When you go in, there's a "path", lighter than the rest of the floor, that you have to follow in order to actually get anywhere. If you go outside it, you'll encounter an enemy (regardless of whether you turn encounter-none on or not), and get forced back onto the path. When you get to the blue light in the middle of the room, you have to fight a dragon, then you have the option of begging for mercy, but keep fighting (select the "never" option) then he says another question, and you have to select a hidden option (below the second) for your answer.
Then you fight Bahamut, and he will become your GF if you win.
Word of advice: there are two islands on the world map, one on the south-west edge of Galbadia's continent, the other in the north-east edge of esthar's continent. Both are packed with hidden draw points.. you'll know you've got the right islad (there are a few on the edge of esthar) when you can hardly move (pressing X, of course) without drawing some decent spells. These islands are packed with Ultimas, which, when you have 100 are VERY good to juction to:
- Strength, or any other statistic, but strength is a good idea
- Elemental defense. 100 ultimas gives you 100% defense against ALL elements.
Then after getting Bahamut, if you go back to the deep sea research centre there's a big hole in the floor where the blue core was before. If you climb down there, you have to solve a little puzzle involving untis of steam pressure, to get to a floor, and then you get to fight Ultima weapon. Draw Eden from Ultima weapon.
(The last paragraph was intentionally more vague since he only wanted to know where Eden was and who you draw it from.. ;) )
If you want Eden so badly the easy way.Wait intil Disk 4 and......
Then inside Ultimecia's castle,go to the clock tower and you'll see a dragon that looks like Bahumut. Run up to him and you'll be launched into a battle.
Tiamat
Squall should draw Eden from Tiamat.While your other 2 character should summon Shiva and Ifrit because I think Tiamat is 4x weak to ice and fire type attacks.
In Squall's next turn,he should cast protect on everyone from Tiamat's Dark Flare attack....Do not summmon Quezecoatl or Pandemona because Tiamat is immune to wind magic and resistance to thunder magic.
After you defeat Tiamat,you get Eden if you have drawn him from Tiamat.You get to name him and it's offcially yours.
I don't think waiting til disc 4 is easier at all, then you wouldn't have bahamut/eden for all the fights at the end of disc 3. Anyway, when u're getting bahamut, what you have to do is only walk when the light dims, if you walk when the blue...thing is lit up at all you'll have to fight a battle, either the snake thing or....sometimes a ruby dragon. Hm...everything else seems to have been covered...oh, when you return to the research center after you get bahamut, bring Zell with you! he'll make the puzzle a lot easier because at the end, where you would normally need....2 or 3 steam...points or whatever, Zell will just punch it (if you say he can) and you can pass.
Tiamat isn't weak against much, but you can hit him with GF Doomtrain. As for getting Eden on Disc 4, it's not easier, because on Disc 4 you would have to either A) fight the series of Bosses to get to Tiamat or B) go through the ordeal to get the Ragnarok.
If you guys need any help, I've written an in depth FFVIII walkthrough based on the Official Strategy Guide. It's on my website. To get straight to the FF VIII section , click here.
You don't have to battle all the bosses to get to Tiamat. (The 1st boss you see is the one you must battle.)
I think Tiamat is easier, becuase you don't have to fight a guy that has an ultra cheap move that can wipe out one of your character in one turn.
Yup. Hey I beat the first form of Ultimecia with only the attack and GF ability, and also almost defeated Griever. But it wiped me out with ShockWave Pulsar.
Sure you have to fight some bosses to make the battle easier. But hey it's much more easier than beating
Ultima Weapon
in my view.
