First human clone?!

Well in my opinion this is terrible! Its truly against mother nature to create another human. Lets look at it this way:-
. How can someone in their right mind create another being, it has no identity, no biological background. Just some simple being who will not understand why others had been given birth to and he/she hadnt.
. A cell, grows into a bigger cell. An embryo grows, internally deformed, with no other to stand against it as no person has a choice in being born, so this clone with be discriminated against for its short life. Wrong we all know, but even though we cant stop this, its life guys and girls. Everyone thinks differentley and what clone does this have rights to. A free life? Freedom of speech? This is not going to be supported very well. And how would you feel, standing next to someone who looks identical to you, and your not even related to the person by family, you just share the same DNA.
. I dont understand why people try to create a passage of the genesis through time and technology, but I can tell you one thing, if it is proven to be a clone which I doubt it will, mankind stands against another threat for us to look forward to in the future.

TFlover, this is really an unsatisfactory post. "clones.....yuck." is pretty meaningless. Please put more effort into your posts in future -- I'll be watching to ensure that you improve.

Did anyone see the interview with that lady Brigette on CNN last night? Nothing much, they just talked about cloning, she would'nt say much about the baby, "EVE". Well If anything is interested in this whole Raelian thing, "Rael" the ringleader is going to be interviewed on CNN at 11 am eastern time.... Im gunna watch it....

The leader of that Rael movement had an interview on a 'foot-in-the-door' news program here yesterday. It was SOOO funny!!
The host just demolished him, making him say that he was the brother of Jesus and confonting him about people losing the millions of dollars that would pay for the production of a clone for them. She also confused him by saying that if all life was created by aliens, would the cloned baby be alien?

But think about from the cult's perspective, wouldn't cloning be sacreligious and against their teachings?

Anyway the whole thing is crazy. Although there's a possibility that they're right, I strongly doubt it.

Also, although I'm against human cloning, I'm all for stem-cell research and even genetic modification(if used properly i.e. no superbeings, no 'Gatticus')

Zidane I'm just writing this to pick on you because you have the stereotypical response to this sort of thing. (And you said "mother nature..." *shudders*)

Did you think about identical twins before you wrote this?
Do you think the world hates them or doesn't respect them, their dna/looks/and in some cases thinking patterns are nearly the same.

As for not being able to have free speech and thought, you?re thinking way in to the future, this girl (If she really is a clone) has a brain, it does not for any reason have to process thoughts like its "mother" or does it have any of her memories.
Think of her as just a copy of the cells and that?s about all that is the same between them. She would be an individual for her short life.

Yes NO ONE would clone a human just to kill it and then give the organs to the person that they cloned it from, what a waste, no they grow the new bits out of which ever method and then transplant them.

I really don't thing most of you understand the issues or are confused between what the different things are, so I ask you before you post some thing you at least know the basics and that you are talking about the right thing. (Google.com is your friend...)
So you?re not going ?oh cloning, that?s unnatural??
Just as a suggestion of course. :P

The parents of the supposed clone won't even allow for DNA tests anyway. Apparently it's against their moral fiber or some such crap. Strange that they would let the kid be cloned in the first place, but not let anyone test the DNA. Obviously, it isn't true.
