BigCajones
I got an X-Box for christmas with Halo and Splinter Cell. I would like to buy a third soon, but I don't know what I want hmmm? Genres I don't want are RPGs, racing, and I don't mind a sport or a platform game. I really would like another action packed game though, so it doesn't leave you with much of a choice. If there isn't a suitable suggestion I suppose I could just save my money up, or buy a PS2/GC game, but then which one should I buy :(. I've heard some suitable suggestions for an X-Box game but whats your opinion? If not then what games should I save up for? Or if you think I should just splash out the cash which game(s) should I get for the other 2 consoles? Help me out please!!! :demon:
Charles
If you're looking for an action game, I suggest Dead to Rights. It borrows from Max Payne's bullet-time feature a bit, and features a well penned, if not cliche, storyline. The actual gameplay is deeper than Max Payne's, featuring martial arts moves, the ability to sic your dog, Shadow, on enemies and nice mission layouts. The GameCube version features a smoother control interface, but the Xbox incarnation sports slightly superior graphics. The Xbox version is also the most difficult. Weigh them how you like, lol. Semjaza
I'd get Mech Assault, especially if you are able to buy Live along with it. It's surprisingly fun.
Bing
With Halo and Splinter Cell under your belt, I don't think you'll be needing any more games for a few weeks! Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 is really impressive, and Jet Set Radio Future is very entertaining! Like Big Cajones, I just got my XBOX, so I will be taking these suggestions to mind as well! Dead to Rights looks amazing, as I just read a review on it. Ghost Recon and Blinx tthe Time Sweeper are also fun games!
BigCajones
Yeah I would get Mech Assault or Dead to Rights, but being in crappy England they haven't been released yet! Probably worth the wait, but I'm sure I can find the cash. I'm getting bored with getting all the THPS games, but I may think about getting JSRF though or Crazy Taxi 3, but I suppose it's just going to be the same as no. 1 and 2 which I have for the Dreamcast. As for action games for the X-Box erm either Unreal Championship, Dead or Alive 3, Hitman 2 or Silent Hill 2; Inner Fears. P.S I already have Timesplitters 2 for Gamecube. As for other consoles maybe LOTR: Two Towers (heard it's good, but short) and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. What do you all think?
Bing
Cajones, Dead to Rights is out over here. I just saw a Virgin Megastores advert with it on, in my XOM. I am not sure what to get, Splinter Cell or Dead to Rights. I might just fork out and get them both, I mean, i got £115 from Xmas!
BigCajones
Yeah sorry I did like know it was out lol. It supposely not a great game, but if you have enough for both then sure why not. *thinks what to get* hmmm?
Tommy Vercetti
I would get JSRF as i think its a funny game and very entertaining wen doing the missions and all the characters have unique things i have Ghost Recon on the ps2 but its not an amazingly good game the controls are pretty easy but i just found i was always getting shot maybe im supposed to use stealth and hide but oh well lol
BigCajones
Who said anything about Ghost Recon? JSRF does look fun, but at the moment I'm just looking for something else spectacular as everyone seems to be getting that with the deal of the X-Box, so I could borrow that of anyone. I will just search around the shops then if I find nothing I will save up.
Tommy Vercetti
Well hopefully some better games will come out during 2003 which should be good but i suppose you'll have to wait for them to be released

BigCajones
Well yesterday I went to the shops and managed to find some bargains. I got three games for the X-Box Mech Assault, Silent Hill 2 and JSRF so I hope I have made some good choices!
Guest tubbyguts
get the Steel Battalions:ÌúÆï
Tommy Vercetti
The games you got are pretty good i have to admit i like silent hill 2 the most out of all of the ones you got as it is more challenging and not repetitive.
BigCajones
Yeah they were good choices, but now I'm looking for some new ones in 2003! I still have some money so bring on some suggestions please. I don't mind either X-Box, Gamecube or PS2 games now :demon: thanks .... Blade
If you dont mind sports games you should get NHL 2K3. It is a really fun game, its got wicked graphics and gets really addictive. Regards Blade:naughty:
BigCajones
Cool, maybe another time I've got a good idea of the games I want now and I'm saving up for them! I still haven't given all my other games a good try yet ... hardly any lol. :)
Guest Gamer_11
I'd get midtownmadness 3 or medal of honor or need for speed hot pursuit
BigCajones
Well I'm not into racing games really, although I do occasionly like fun ones with extra features i.e. Mario Kart. This game looks alrite it should top Wreckless if you ask me. Don't know much about the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, but I doubt I will be getting it. Finally Medal of Honor is pretty vague as there are a few versions of this game. If you mean MoH: Frontline I have that for the Gamecube (still haven't played it lol). Thanks for your ideas anyway! :)
Bing
I think you should play it then, because it does look very impressive. Maybe we should try multiplayer some time? I have been hearing very good things about the X Box version of Hitman 2 : Silent Assassin. I think that I will by this game next, as I love games like that, and I am getting bored!
BigCajones
Okay now onto my next problem ... Well I don't know whether to get Dead To Rights, which out here in England now or just simply wait for some other games. Is it worth getting (preferably someone who has the game reply)? In March there are a few games I'm definetely into on both the X-Box and the Gamecube, but I'm not sure if I should just save my money up on them? :demon:
Bing
As you own Max Payne, I wouldn't suggest Dead To Rights is a good game to buy. It's very short supposedly, so I would recommend a rental, and then, if you don't get it completed, or find it hard, or different to Max Payne then buy it. You may dissapointed with it if you have Max Payne, as there are quite a few similarities. Anyway, there is a Dead To Rights thread, look in there and make a decision!
Sere Tuscumbia
Oo;; I have the feeling that I'm the only person who's played BloodRayne, or something. Yeah, BloodRayne is short (either its short, or I just finished it too quickly. A lot of the levels are small . . .), but amusing if you get the cheats activated (after you've finished the game, if you choose) and look around at all the funny little things that the programmers have added. *shrugs* Plus, if you've got a sadistic streak like me, cutting off someone's hand to watch them run away screaming then die in slow motion is quite satisfying. But that's just me. ^_^ --Sere
BigCajones
I saw Dead to Rights in the shop now and just walked past, while acknowledging it at the same time. I already saw the Dead to Rights thread it wasn't very useful, but I won't get this as yes I do have Max Payne. *Saves up money for Resident Evil 0* Never really heard of this BloodRayne? :)
Sere Tuscumbia
Poor, poor you. It's everywhere in Tulsa. Walk into a computer store and see BloodRayne on a shelf somewhere. It's made by Terminal Reality and something else that I really can't remember. Hmph. This is just further justifying my belief in the fact that I'm the only person who's played this game . . . --Sere
