spike speigel
I heard a rumor that there is a manga series called Trigun Maximum. I heard that it takes place after The original series and that it will be realeased, along with the Trigun manga, in America. Does anyone know if this is true? Is There really a Trigun Maximum? Is Trigun manga finally coming to America? If you could answer any of these questions, I'd really apreciate it.
Guest 9Eagle7Dragon
Yes, there is a Trigun Maximum. I think at this point it is just primarly japanese, but there are translations on certain sites. I think you still have to order it over the net though, I wouldn't know where to buy it. ...better brush up on my japanese then... >< (for whatever that's worth so far... my forgin language skills suck.) Sunde
Trigun, the anime, is the anime for Trigun MAX. Trigun started out as a comic appearing like monthly in Young King Ours a mag in Japan. It was good so it was compiled into Manga comics. Then it was made into a show that was a condensation of the manga. It could only be one seasn because of how Japan does TV and anime. It's weird but now the compilations of Trigun MAXIMUM are going to come out in the US all translated and such. Sunde needs to get a life. love, peace, eternal pain, and suffering, Sunde
VP-Master
IDK if Trigun the anime got into Trigun Max but it definetely didn't finish it. The anime does contain the original manga story however for sure. When the original Trigun was ending, another publishing contacted Yasuhiro Nightow and asked him to make a new Trigun series. Supposedely he wanted to start a new story instead but eventually he agreed to making Trigun Maximum and started the series again putting the plot a few years into the future and you'll also notice some of the characters look a little different. I also remember looking at an Anime magazine last month (not Shonen Jump, maybe Anime Invasion) and it was saying Nightow has no plans of making Trigun Maximum an anime series. :( Maybe he'll change his mind later though. Enishi
Actually, he had an argument with his current company, and switched to the other to continue with the story. They had to name it Trigun Maximum, because of issues in copyrights... I'll post a link when I get home that has all the issues of the manga online... you can view them there if you'd like... Cyber E.
I posted this awhile ago, but I guess the topic went down. Dark Horse comics has the rights to the Trigun manga. They'll begin to release them in Graphic Novel version begining later this year. There is no word on when and/or if Maximum will be licensed by Dark Horse, but it's very likely. Off-Topic Fact: Along with Trigun, Dark Horse announced it's releasing the Hellsing manga also. -Cyber
