Hyper
I'm new to the Sony systems, seeing as how I got my first Sony system (PS2) two days ago. But a memory card question is bothering me. Lets say I had two games (I do actually). One of these was a PS2 game (Kingdom Hearts) and the other a normal Play Station game (Forbiddem Memories). I know Play Station 2 can play the original PS games. But can it store the game data of a PS game on a PS2 Memory card? Do I have to buy a PS memory card to save my PS game data, so I can use the saved data on a PS2? Anything appreciated.
Semjaza
The simple answer is no. If you play PSX games on a PS2, when you try to save they will not recognize the PS2 card at all. Rather annoying, because otherwise I could just get rid of my PSX cards since the PS2 ones are so much bigger. You can however, copy PSX saves to a PS2 card in the browser menu. The only real use of that is for games like Suikoden III which allow you to load up old PSX saves. I've not tried it, so I don't know quite how well it works. So basically, yes you need one of each.
