Raiha
Jenica clenched her slightly feral teeth in rage. The forest trees whispered back and forth to one another, bickering and nodding their heads. Siren: Well? Jenica: As Bolred the hawk, she will know. Where Nepenthe is, can not be fully seen by me. The sphynx took the hint and took off, screeching harshly to the winds. Jenica and Rinalph looked at eachother, then tramped back into Nelynn's cave. As they walked, Jenica tightened her grip and stamped down into the cave, body flickering with energy. The sylph heard her coming, and turned around. The first thing she saw was the point of a short throwing lance, right in her face. Jenica: ....I said to let them go.
RicoTranzrig
Nelynn came back to her senses and stepped aside. She was mad, so close to getting what she wanted. She obeyed though...leaving the sight of Kato and Laitina to behold to Jenica and her companions. Laitina healed slowly, tears flowing from the shock. Kato looked up...revealing a face untouched. Siren: You're free to go... Laitina: *sniff* Kato: Let's get out of this place. With one quick glance, he looked for his clothing, which was piled up in a corner to their right. Jenica: Are those yours? Kato nodded. Jenica: Okay.. Siren walked over and grabbed them, placing them in Kato's right arm. Holding his cloak and Laitina's arm to support her as she was still weak. The walked out of the cave. Kato's head hung low. Laitina looked back and burned the images, of the people remaning inside the cave, into her mind. They would meet again and she would find the answers as to why they are here... They walked for a time. Kato wished he could turn into his animal form and carry her back to a safe location. Once the cave was out of sight, they set down in a small clearing, behind an old tree. Kato removed his cloak and began putting on his clothes, not bothering to shield himself from Laitina. There was no reason to...
Raiha
Once two two hostages were freed, Jenica took up her at ease position and watched Nelynn's face change from one of fear to unrelenting fury. The guardian of the forest grinned up at Nelynn's face, a little girl once more. Jenica: Did you learn anything today? With that said, she danced out of Nelynn's sphere of influence and bounced out of the cave. Siren disapeared into the night sky and Rinalph chuckled to himself. Jenica: Come on dozy mozy! Let's get home....I need to gather the grapes. Rinalph: Wine?!? Jenica: Eventually....yeah. He whooped like a child and the two went racing out into the fastness of the forest. In her now empty cave, Nelynn ground her teeth and clenched her fists in rage. Then something caught her attention. On the ground was a simple white crystal. She picked it up and turned it over in her palm. The energy wasn't there, but perhaps it just needed the right touch. Jenica and Rinalph leapt over the lake and landed next to the house. Once there, the female werewolf let herself in and immediatly went into one of the interior rooms. Rinalph: What is it? Jenica: I left behind a Sight crystal for Nelynn. I wonder if she'll figure it out in time.
Charles
He ran four long fingers through his ghostly white hair and rose before her. Nepenthe noticed how his bronze skin glowed like a statue. What a marvelous creature Lezaza was; he hadn't lost his luster after remaining idle for over a millennia. A thousand burdens had been lifted from his shoulders; he almost forgot about his uninvited, albeit, welcomed guest. Sacrifices and tributes littered his resting place. Bronze cups shaped by the hands of the gods, bones of extinguished animals decorated with spider webs, and fine pottery all lie at his feet undisturbed. No one dared rape his gifts--out of both respect and fear. Banners lined with gold hung lifelessly about their heads depicting famous battles and tales. Nepenthe circled the bewildered wizard, a circling hawk. His eyes were two snowballs, cold as ice and lifeless. Despite the thin smile spread across his frozen lips, Lezaza's eyes showed no happiness, no warmth. His fingers each bore a splendid ring, most gold, others decorated with rubies, gems or icy diamonds. Nepenthe was without words; she stood admiring the precious fruits of her labor; he was magnificent. Slowly, she approached him, she was drawn to him unwillingly, unknowingly. She saw her hands stretched out, reaching for his inhumanly statuesque body. Part of her wanted to be sure that he was real, not a marble statue. He snapped her hands up in his own and pressed them to his cheek. She didn't resist, couldn't resist. It felt like she was touching a sheet of ice, her skin stung with pain. Nepenthe took one step back, but he pulled her close and forced his mouth onto hers. Jack Frost nipped at her nose. Quickly she wrenched herself free. Her lips were purple and blue, her nose a crimson red. She opened her mouth to speak, but a veil of frosty mist rose about. "What's wrong," he said trying to play with her hair, only to have his hands swatted away. "G-g-get your hands off me b-before," she shivered, only to be cut off mid-sentence. "--Before what," he teased, "surrender yourself to me; become my harlot and accept the splendors of unbridled nature." Lezaza ran his hands down her abdomen and below her waist line before she found the willpower to wrench herself free again. "I awakened you for one reason and one reason only" she chastised. "Hmm," he asked underneath his breath nonchalantly. Bearing her teeth, almost growling, she replied, "You're a tool that will assist me in defeating the fire witch. Nothing more. If you refuse, I'll see to it that you sleep forever. No one will be able to reach you this time." Nepenthe glared into Lezaza's eyes triumphantly and folded her arms. He remained silent for what seemed an eternity. The smile disappeared from his face, like a frozen winter season melting into spring. "People will talk," he said softly, almost whispering, "and they will think. They believe that they have free will. You will talk, and you will hear, but you will never listen.. Nepenthe, you are ignorant, completely oblivious to everything--even to the purpose of your very existence. It escapes you. I am so much more. I am the answers. You have made the grave mistake of finding the answers before you even recognized the questions, my dear."
Raiha
She smiled thinly. What she had picked up from ArchSeraphim Alujah was more than enough for her. Nepenthe: Will you...or won't you...help me? He smiled at her, his voice like oil flowing on ice. Lazaza: ...why should I? Nepenthe: He is going to enslave the humans. They have a right to live freely. Lazaza: What would you know about humans? You live in the Forest of the Ages. Nepenthe: ....I have seen their pain. I have experienced it. You in your "divine" knowledge couldn't even see that. Could you. He opened his mouth to protest, then closed it again. She smiled at him happily, then turned her back. She quietly closed her thoughts to him, and walked out of the hall. He watched her go....smiling to himself. Once outside, she spread her wings and flew to her old camp. Jenica had been right about the Blue Mage. And she quietly cursed herself for going with her gut feeling. With a strength born of both cold fury and pride, she snatched her things up, then crashed through the trees before swiftly clearing the wasteland boundries and entering the Forest of the Ages.
Juu
Once Kato was finished, Laitina stood up, and walked over to Kato. She was surprised to see Kato still on his feet. Although, he had shown much strength ever since their first encounter. Something was special about him, something unique very few in the world seemed to posess. She put a hand on his shoulder. Kato turned around, surprised to see she was awake. "It's been a rough night. You should rest." Laitina suggested, standing downhill from where Kato stood. "We should move further up first." Kato said, shifting at the surroundings. Laitina glanced around at the dark, hearing a few hissing noises nearby. She nodded, suddenly feeling cold. "I agree. Let's move on, then."
Raquel
Siren stood as Nepenthe landed... Siren: Have fun? Nepenthe: Tons... Siren: You look a little... Cold... Nepenthe gave her a piercing glare and Siren dropped the subject quickly... Siren: Here... I've made some food... Yours went cold... She offered the still steaming meat to Nepenthe... Siren: Where's our guest? Nepenthe: The blue mage? Siren noddes and began wolfing the food... Nepenthe made a face, but said nothing being used to the female spynx's bad table manners... Nepenthe: You know... There is enough here to survive a ten season famine... You don't need to stuff yourself flightless... Siren ignored her... This had been an argument for quite sometime... RicoTranzrig
They were on the move again, being careful to go around the cave of Nelynn for fear of being violated again. It was unfortunate he wasn't awake to enjoy it. Inside him, he didn't mind for some reason. Though, a part of him worried because of her strange obsession with his animal form, which he overheard in her talks. Who knows? Maybe next time they meet, it might be on better terms, like him on top of her... They tried to find where they set camp to see if anything was lost when they fell asleep and began to walk the night using only their instinctive side. Laitina worried about Kato after the incident in the cave. During her time going in and out of consciousness, she caught glimpses of them...well, it was safe to say that her eyes hadn't seen anything like that before. She wondered whether or not it caused any permanent damage to him... Laitina: Kato? He turned to look at her and walked slower. Laitina: Are you hurt? Kato: No, just...mad I guess. Laitina: Why? Kato: Because of our predicament. You've lived in this forest for many centuries now. It's gone through a lot...and now that it's fine again somehow, it's a shame it's being inhabited so quickly. Laitina: I was never appointed to be the protector of this place, but, with no one ever around to call this place their home, I was the only one to see that this forest isn't defiled like before you came around. Kato: Are you saying I have something to do with the forest being restored? Laitina: It's only a hunch, but I think your animal form brings life wherever you stop to rest. I've seen it when the sylph...had you, when you changed back into human form. He knew what she was talking about and his face turned red. Laitina: I'm sorry if this is uncomfortable for you. Kato: So the flattened flowerbed in the cave was made by me reverting back. Laitina: I have reason to believe so. Kato lowered his head. He still had a lot to understand about what was happening to him, along with the events occuring in the forest. They continued the trail up the mountain, giving each other idle chatter to keep from being bored. Both noticed the hissing sounds again as they neared the first rock wall. Latina wondered what it was. Too robust to be a snake and too loud to be anything of the forest. She had a urge to investigate, but her friend needed rest. So she decided to leave the issue alone until they got back to camp...
Raiha
Nepenthe: ...the Blue Mage will not be joining us today. Or any day. The Egyptian sphynx was quiet for a time, reflecting on what she knew to be true...and what was merely rumor. She chewed slowly, thoughtfully, then smiled again. Nepenthe: I know the problem isn't only my lack of control. Siren: The Blue Mage is always a sly fox. You can never trust him. It's been true for ages. Nepenthe: I'm a preistess to the Most High, and you're telling me the obvious? Siren: ....we have made an enemy of sorts. We'll let Jenica keep on dreaming, and see what happens. Nepenthe: I hope so. The two women stared through the fields of green. The Forest held no fears for them, not with Jenica's all encompasing presence surrounding them....holding them tightly in her arms.
Juu
Their pace was slowing down, and feeling tired as they continued the trail up. She felt her breath growing heavier, as Kato began to daze. His eyes grew dreary as Laitina felt her legs getting heavier at each step. The camp wasn't too far ahead, less than a league or two away. It was an encouraging thought, even though the slightest step seemed like a mile's run. The wind was catching up ahead, creating eerie noises from the mouths of caves and rock walls close by. Then, the hissing sound came again. Kato snapped out of thought, and shook his head at the noise. Taking another step, the hissing noise seemed to snap at him, leaves rustling to his right. "You hear it too..." Kato said, not looking back. Laitina swallowed, and pretended not to notice. "Hear what?" Kato stared knowingly at Laitina, glancing around for the sound. The hissing came once more, jerking and jolting through the bushes. "That." Laitina's breath seemed to slow as she heard multiple hissing around them. There was more than one... "Yes." She replied. "Do you think they smell us?" Kato shook his head. He feared to turn around, and stood still. "I think they're hunting us."
liamc2
Rinalph stuffed a handful of grapes into his mouth when he felt Jenica wasn't watching. 'Rinalph! I saw that.' Jenica said suspicously. 'Face me, now' Rinalph chewed furiously and swallowed half of what was in his mouth. He faced Jenica, face on of innocence. 'Whaaat?' He said thickly, mouth half filled with grapes. 'Look, if you keep eating those, there won't be any left for the rest of those.' Rinalph looked sheepish. He was trying to resist eating the grapes, he really was...but, he couldn't. Something about the smell of the grapes was enticing. Nothing in the mines smelt this fresh, sweet and bitter at the same time... They were irresistable and he couldn't help himself. Rinalph swallowed, and coughed. 'Sorry Jenica...' 'Just don't let it happen again, other wise we'll never get done..' Rinalph eyed a fresh, unpicked bunch of grapes on the vine. He grinned and slowly eased them off the vine. In one swift movement, he had them stuffed into his mouth and Jenica was none the wiser. 'RINALPH!' Rinalph coughed in surprise. He was in the middle of swallowing the remainder of the grapes when he did. He choked. Jenica stood in front of him, basket in one hand and the other hand on her hip. 'Look, I'm warning you, seriously. If you don't stop eating those- eh, you're turning red...are you ok?' Rinalph had both hands on his throat, spluttering and coughing. 'Oh..' Jenica put down the basket and put him in the heimlich manouvere. Rinalph coughed and felt suddenly sick when she pulled hard on his stomach. He continued coughing. Siren watched the comic hijinx below with great amusement. 'He can't keep himself out of trouble can he? He's like a fish out of water.' Siren chuckled as Rinalph fell wheezing to the ground. The offending grape. Jenica picked up the basket and shook her head. Rinalph lay on his back, breathing deeply, a healthy pallor returned to his face. Raiha
Half in hysterics, half infuriated, Nepenthe dropped her things by the door and winged down to the vineyard. Once there, she melted back into her human self and picked up one of the reedwoven baskets. Jenica: On no need, just keep a hawkeye on that moron of a orc man. Rinalph: ...Moron? Nepenthe: No problem. Siren! Siren: Eh? Nepenthe: Keep an eye on that moron of a orc man. You already know what he looks like. Ducking under the sphynx's furious swing, she raced down the lines of grapes. With swift sure fingers, she plucked each bunch and gently placed them in the basket. The Harlequin
OOC: Oh, I suppose I'd better do something to establish the fact that I'm so hideous, evil, savage, what not that everybody always likes to kill me. Hell, why not. Can't be too dissimilar to highschool.... Oh, and apologies to anyone this may offend etc... IC: Kattarin (God damn this seems weird now) proved an interesting and somewhat ...enthusiatic paramour. Truly, the Fire Witch King had found his Queen. For her amusement, Lacroix took ransom a village, taking all the young, able men, leaving them to be gnawed alive by rats, or thrown into pools filled to bursting with leeches, or evis cerated with abrasive sands. The simplest pleasures however, were always the greatest. The mayor of the village, your typical upstart who gets a taste of authority and thinks he's born for it, protested somewhat sulphurously to such treatment. Lacroix obliged him with something else. As Kattarin stood at his side, the mayor was hung up from a version of the strappado, Lacroix working the rack with practiced, almost gentle skill. Taking a long knife, he slit a triangle into the skin of the man's arm, sliding the knife under the severed flesh. Lacroix: You're more than welcome to scream. Lacroix lifted the knife slightly. He bent forward, smiling, teeth revealed. Then they were stained a foul red, as he ripped the flap of skin away with his teeth. The mayor exercised his right in an exemplary fashion... The scream washed through the two of them like a tidal surge, a catalyst to the infernal passions locked within them. Each of them shuddered, gripped in the throes of grim ecstasy. Gripping Kattarin's head, he pulled her towards him, ripping the piece of skin in two with his teeth. Kissing her savagely, he passed half of it into her mouth, savouring the mixture of blood and lust. Each of them ingested their respective morsels, more for the effect on the mayor than any desire for the taste of human flesh. Blood though...that was another matter. Lacroix worked fast with his knife. Next, from the same area, he stripped away excess flesh, feeling the blood run over his hands. They were none too steady, as he shook with unbridled desire. Kattarin started removing clothing, regardless of whos it was. Their unclad and obviously excited state served only to distress the mayor more. He passed out, too soon. He awoke minutes later, Lacroix having stripped away muscle. In that small, severed triangle on his arm, stoof exposed nerves, glistening with moisture, and quivering as a light breeze brushed across them. The mayor shook, somewhere between pain and and the icy grip of death. Lacroix smiled, drawing out a feather. Reaching down, he lightly ran it, against the grain, over the man's nerves. Cataclysmic. Orgasmic. Satiating. A firestorm of pleasure running through minds in desperate need of such a sanguine release... They embraced, feverishly fufilling their physical desires with each other... Short of that climax, Kattarin pulled away from Lacroix. She smiled, and took up the knife. She placed it gently into the mayor's stomach, moving it a few inches upwards, before prising the wound apart. She removed the knife, and gestured to the wound. Under her breath, into Lacroix's ear, instructions were murmered, ending with the words "For me". Eyes widening half in surprised delight, half in shock, he moved towards the man, in a coupling that seemed to be the fruit of the concentrated black passion within each person's soul... OOC: No, I'll not get graphic anytime soon.
Raiha
*evil cold chills* How fascinating...you have quite a way with words. ~~~~~~~~~~ Jenica was thoughtful, the scent of grapes was so intoxicating, and the heat of the day bounced between the ground and the vines. She continued working methodically, carefully. Then she looked up into the sun, unflinching, basking in the warmth. The Forest of the Ages was being kind, not fickle, not harsh. The season had been a good one, and the future was not so dim...in the sunlight. She closed her eyes and thought backwards to the past she had once lived in....the echoing voice of the old Dorobo witch, Kryas, echoed in her mind. "You were born to bring safety, healing, a safe place that could not be broken. You must never loose sight of the brightness, and never succumb to the darkness that might threaten it. Keep your hope strong for the sake of everyone." Nepenthe's voice cut through the memory like a knife, and shocked her out of her dreams. Nepenthe: Jenica! Jenica: ...huh? RicoTranzrig
Up the top of the light cliffs overlooking the forest of the ages, Kato and Laitina continued walking, and found the pile of sticks, stones, and Frostberries laying on the ground, their camp was untouched and the surrounding area was a safe place to hide out. They looked around for any possessions they might have dropped, although, they didn't have anything of exceptional value, except themselves and each other. Tired from the hike, they picked up whatever they could still eat and sat down to continue their plans. Kato: Here we are again... Looking up, Laitina, noticed that the rock wall they camped against had vines growing a few meters up, full of grapes. She walked to the wall and raised her hand, hoping that, in jumping distance, she would be able to reach it. But she came up short and walked next to Kato, who was paying attention to the dark smoke that was rising past his very eyes. Someone had set up a small fire again. She felt Laitina's footsteps beside him. Kato: What's up? Laitina: I think I found some real food. *Points* Look! Kato looked up and saw what Laitina was pointing at. It was a distance up, but reachable if he gave her a boost. He led the way as they walked over, and he looked back at her. Kato: Do you think you can reach and get it? Laitina nodded. She would be able to snatch a few pieces to share and eat with Kato. She stood and waited for him to lend her a hand. Laitina: Umm... Kato: What? Laitina: I need a lift. Kato: Can't you change and grab some? Laitina: I haven't recovered yet... Kato kneeled down before her long flowing gown and set himself up for her to sit on his shoulders. Carefully, she circled him and hooked one leg around the back of his neck. Her other leg followed shortly after she got a hold of her balance. Laitina: Be careful, okay? Slowly, he stood up, letting her steadly her self on the rock wall. He felt the weight of her body and her delicate skin pressing through the smooth piece of cloth she was wearing. It cut off part of the air he breathed in and a sharp pain pressed at the back of his neck. Laitina reached up and swiped at the vines strapped along the wall of rock. She got just enough for a quick meal and held it gently in her hand. Laitina: Okay, you can let me down now. He lowered himself and helped her off of him. She stood up straight and held the cluster of fruit in her between her fingers. Laitina: Ta-da! Kato: Thanks for getting them off so we can finish our dinner with something better. Laitina: Here. Laitina broke the vine, top from bottom, and gave the piece with more grapes to Kato. She delved into it quick. The shapeshifting and the events happened really made her hungry to bring back her strength. Kato: How are they? Laitina: Why don't you try some? They're right in your hand. Kato popped in a few and felt satiated by the sweet taste bursting in his mouth. It was then when he felt the burning sensation of alcohol going down his throat. Kato: Ermmm... Laitina: Wha? Her speech slurred...she...was drunk...

Juu
Laitina bobbed her head as they took her inside. Tilting her head to her side, her eyes gazed around the room awkwardly. "Wher..." Laitina began to say. Jenica murmured something under her breath, as they laid her on the bed. She clawed at the covers, curled up on the bed. The two left the room and closed the door, leaving her in the room by herself. Her faced was bright red. Laitina let out a few babbled laughs, and laughed herself to sleep. As she awoke, the room didn't seem to spin as much. She heard voices outside, but the thought of standing up seemed impossible. Laitina laid in bed for a few more minutes, until the door opened and Siren walked in. In her hands was a tray, with a glass of water and bits of food on a plate. "Thought you'd like these." Juu
Laitina shook her head in embarrisment. Although, to be truthful, the grapes were delicious. Unlike any other she had eaten before. Just then, an ear-splitting shatter came from outside. "What's that!?" Laitina exclaimed. Siren glanced behind her, and rolled her eyes. "That would be Rinalph." She replied. "Rinalph?" Jenica nodded, and laughed. "You'll understand later." Her cheeks turned back to their normal color, and the atmosphere didn't seem as thick. She supposed the potion helped wash down the Grapes. She spat in discust as she felt the bitter aftertaste in her mouth. It was horrible. "Can I have a glass of water?" Laitina asked, biting her lip. Her face quenched as she tried to hold in the flavor. "Not yet. At least not until the potion takes full effect." Jenica replied. "How long will that be?"
RicoTranzrig
Kato came out from behind Laitina and placed a gourd of water in front of her chest. She looked down at the refreshing liquid, then behind her. Kato: Now, I wouldn't think that you had to suffer this much. Laitina: Thanks...I think. Nepenthe turned her attention to Kato. Nepenthe: Well, I'm glad you can join the fun. Kato: You have a bit of explaining to do. Still partly drunk, Laitina spoke her mind. Laitina: Keep it down, you're...loud. Jenica: Grr, don't wash that potion down yet. Siren: Let her do what she wants, she's old enough. Kato: She's gotta learn how to take her fermented fruits someday. Laitina: Can we stop talking about me now!? Kato shrugged and stood back against the wall. Nepenthe: I think you have a lot of explaining to do as well. The door opened, and Rinalph slowly walked in, eyeing everyone in the room. Laitina knocked back the water, neturalizing the rest of the potion's effects. Jenica: I think you stand corrected, my friend.
